he watches her, never one to try and guard the emotions in his eyes, and it’s clear that he’s feeling concern, worry, and more than a little bit of confusion. this is a war, there are plenty of worries. poe doesn’t really understand having fears as a rank. a tier. they’re all just alive and running in his mind, even sleep is not a reprieve for him. 

“what would you say is the bottom of your worries list?” his voice is light, joking, but he does have an edge of earnestness in the question.

“do you rank them on how sick they make you feel?”

Han looked at her in anticipation of what story she was planning on feeding him. “Better make it good, ‘cause I’m not explaining a lousy story to your mother.” Sure she was an adult, but Jaina had been off-world awhile with no contact, and sure, things weren’t perfect when she left but that didn’t mean he and Leia didn’t worry.

 “I know Danni and some of the others have been doing nonstop research on these... Yuuzhan Vong...” Jacen stopped speaking for a moment, getting lost in what little they knew about this new danger. They didn’t know much, but what they knew was terrifying. And it only seemed to be getting worse. “But do you think there’s anything we can do to help?”

 They’d already done some, and of course what they had done ( which included saving Danni Quee -- who knew a ton about their new enemy ) hadn’t been sanctioned really, but when had that ever stopped the Solo kids before?

Forty something years on the ground untouched, covered in rust and vines, this vessel surely couldn’t be what it used to back in the day. Eron didn’t doubt his cousin’s piloting skills. He knew Jaina was a damn good pilot, but he was a bit skeptical about the Tantive IV being able to fly after so long. Lacking maintenance was one thing -- not knowing what the Empire did to it when it was in their possession was another. “Starting to think this is a bad idea.”

Generally Ana tried to stay out of the way of the bigger operations, staying under the radar by only smuggling small-scale items.  But she’d owed some people some favors, and that was how she found herself cornered by a very familiar Jedi that she was certain still had no idea who she was.  Well, breaking that ignorance may be the best way to get out of this.  So perhaps it was time to come out of hiding.

“You sure you wanna stick that thing through another family member Aunt Jaina?”  She taunted, nodding at the glowing purple blade she knew had ended her father’s life with a vicious smirk on her lips.  She’d learned ages ago, while still living with them, how to pull herself inwards in the Force and had been keeping an iron grip on her Force presence in the intervening years.  But now, for the first time since her abduction, she released that tension so that the Jedi in front of her could feel her.  And the bitter anger that constantly bubbled in her chest, fueling her survival.
