So, I had been looking for a vintage record cabinet to store my vinyl, but this old tambour filing cabinet is perfect! I can put a record player on top and my printer paper in the drawers.
A tambour, btw, refers to a type of door mechanism made from strips of wood/veneer glued to a piece of cloth. You're probably more familiar with the form factors of the roll top desk and breadbox, but tambour doors can also be horizontal:
I also finally found space for this vintage sewing/magazine rack. It's perfect for holding scraps that come out of my WIPs.
The more I refurnish this room, the more anxious I am to replace the carpet and do the walls. 😅
