Shoto is visibly relieved when she puts the worms down and sighs. He knows critters are important for the environment and all that but everyone is happier if they stay outside and he can stay inside. Away from them. 

He gets up and follows the path of dirt to the kitchen where he can watch his daughter and his husband and immediately feels warm inside his chest. Well, he is sure that this is the feeling they would describe as warm. Even after all these years he still struggles with the concept of hot and cold but that’s apart the point. At this point he knows the feeling and he knows what it means and he’s sure he’s never loved anyone or anything more than these two beautiful beings together. Well, his cats come close too. They all are his family. Katsuki his husband, Haruki his daughter, Kimchi and Soba their kittens. They are his world. His everything. He loves them so much it almost hurts. 

He leans into the door-frame for a moment to just savor the feeling in his chest together with that overwhelming surge of happiness before he puts the umbrella away and goes to grab a towel. “Come on little bombshell. We gotta get you cleaned up and when we’re done your Papa is probably done with dinner.”
