My name is Tobias and today I would like to introduce you to my oc! Penelope Graves! I hope you guys enjoy!

Penelope Graves - “Wheels” or “Wheelie”

Backstory

Penelope Graves was a cheerful food worker at a new dinner set up by the theater in the 1950’s, always eager to engage with guests and make their experience memorable. Her infectious smile and upbeat attitude made her a favorite among both park-goers and her colleagues. But everything changed one tragic night when an accident occurred at one of the rides. A mechanical malfunction caused a fatal crash that left Penelope fatally injured—cut in half through the abdomen, while skating to serve customers.

Now a ghostly presence, Penelope haunts the park, still trying to help and warn visitors, though her good intentions often result in her unintentionally scaring them. She represents the importance of paying attention to ride safety, but her tragic death and the haunting form she takes often overshadow her attempts at kindness. She never wanted to be frightening—she just wants others to be safe—but the eerie way her body slides off her torso makes it impossible to avoid an unsettling feeling.

Appearance

Penelope’s appearance is a strange mixture of warmth and terror. Her legs are intact, but her top half has a tendency to slide off her torso in a disjointed and unnatural way, creating a chilling visual. Her upper body is suspended by spectral energy, sometimes dangling loosely or swaying, only to return back into place when she moves. The sight is unsettling—both grotesque and tragic—making it difficult for anyone to look away.

Her once-cheerful food worker uniform is now tattered and stained, a remnant of her past life before the tragic accident. Her face, once full of life, now carries an expression of calm determination, though her hollow eyes glow faintly with an unnatural light. She wears roller skates, gliding effortlessly across the ground, but the sound of her skates—once cheerful—now echoes ominously through the park.

Personality

At her core, Penelope is still the friendly, kind-hearted woman she was in life, but her ghostly form often gives off an unintended sense of fear. Her voice is calm and warm as she delivers her safety PSAs, but the disjointed way her body moves and the way her top half slides off create a ghostly, unsettling effect that makes her seem much scarier than she intends to be. Also probably has a gut it too that falls out

Penelope is unaware of how terrifying her presence can be. She still believes in the importance of her message and only wishes for guests to heed her warnings. Despite her appearance, she tries to be gentle and comforting, offering safety advice with the same enthusiasm she had in life. However, she cannot escape the fact that her very existence is a constant reminder of tragedy. Those who encounter her might feel a sense of dread, but she’s only trying to protect them.

Abilities

• Top Half Sliding Effect: Penelope’s top half slides off in a spooky, disorienting manner, often as she moves or speaks. This happens unpredictably, causing her body to shift unnaturally, which adds to the eerie effect of her haunting presence. Despite this, she continues delivering her safety PSAs, trying to reassure guests that everything will be okay. Unfortunately, her body’s unnatural movements make it difficult for others to focus on her message.

• Roller Skates: Penelope glides through the park on roller skates, a remnant of her former life. The sound of her skates is a ghostly echo, once a symbol of her friendly nature, but now an eerie precursor to her presence. As she skates, her movements are smooth but often accompanied by an unsettling screech that increases the tension in the air.

• Unintentional Haunting: Penelope’s well-meaning attempts to warn guests about safety end up manifesting in unintended ways. She might accidentally cause lights to flicker or objects to rattle, drawing attention to her as she warns of the dangers that could befall those who ignore her. While she means no harm, these occurrences make her seem far scarier than she intends.

Role in the Event

Penelope’s role as a ghost at Halloween Horror Nights is to serve as a tragic reminder of the importance of safety—but the way she presents herself often undermines her intentions. Guests hear her roller skates before they see her, and when she appears, her top half might slide off mid-warning. Her gentle, kind voice delivers safety PSAs, but her disjointed form and eerie movements make it hard for anyone to take her seriously as she intends.

She haunts specific areas, particularly near safety zones or attractions that might have dangerous elements, where her warnings are most crucial. Seeing more activity on the Julian Browning tag and I thought I might share some things.

When I was really into HHN, I found this app called TextingStory. I wanted to make a short Phantom of the Opera inspired story with it. And with that came HHN Group Chats.

» The basic storyline I'm following is Fear's seven heralds (Jack, Albert, Paulo, Elsa, Julian, Lady Luck, and Chance) live underneath (or just around) the Universal Studios theme park in Fear's lantern. Occasionally, they're allowed to leave the lantern to do Adaru's bidding. Eddie lives outside the park. Singapore Icons, like Gideon, are played as their canon self’s for ex. Gideon touring the world and living in the underworld.
