You find out your billionaire next door neighbor is sending your kid out to find KILLER CLOWNS AND CROCODILES, PUTTING YOUR UNDERAGE SON IN BOOTY SHORTS AND ELF BOOTS TO GO FIGHT CRIME, AND YOU'RE NOT THE LEAST BIT CONCERNED??

Listen, they weren't perfect, but as someone with a busy mom, as someone who's had to go to boarding school, as someone who's had rocky relationships with their parents they've come back from, who's seen it with other boarding school (actually) rich kid friends, it's possible.

Tim Loved his parents, Tim loves his parents, Tim loves Bruce but Tim misses his dad, his mom, Dana. If you want to write fics where they're abusive? Fine, have at it, write what you want it's fan FICTION! But when you look at canon? What you have to know before writing anything? Tim loves his parents, he still does.

And, idk, if you guys noticed, but I think there was a new scene but small scene in the first novel that wasn't there when I read it online on eatapplepies (shoutout to the amazing team!) for the first time. It was with Bilose Flynn and he was thinking about something. I may be wrong, as I may have forgotten that scene, but I think it foreshadowed some things that happened in Part 2 of the novel but... yeah, I could be wrong.

Anyway, I will diligently read the 2nd novel to see if I find scenes I don't remember in the web novel just in case I'm not wrong!

While I do really just want them to get together already, I’m actually proud of Seok-ryu for setting boundaries at that moment. They both know that something is changing between them, but she needs to sort out her head and feelings before trying to commit to anything new - and trying to do that when her ex is being a menace is probably nearly impossible.

And yes, I’d say Seung-hyo’s ex is being a bit of a menace as well, but the difference is that she’s actually trying to help them both in her own way.
