FINALLY FUCKING FINISHED!!

Idk why this one took me so long dude but im so so happy with it.

Robbie���s had his ‘you have been inducted into the family’ moment, time for Lisa’s. Heisenberg pushes Robbie and Gabe into the trapdoor which forces Lisa to follow. They’re still chased by Sturm (propeller face) down the twisting hallways and into the bottom scrap heap of the factory.

I also realized that no one has told either Robbie or Gabe what the actual ceremony is. Time for them to know :)

A brief bit of explanation about why Gabe has to suffer; When a molded dies and is taken back into the hivemind, the amount they suffered is taken into account. To try and ensure that When they leave they won't just get killed again, the molded in question will be stored away for however long is deemed appropriate in whatever stratum is deemed appropriate until it is safe for them to leave again! An extreme amount of suffering Miranda intends to put Gabe through would make the Megamycite go into a state of panic about him, and store him away potentially forever. The other parts of the ceremony are what prevents him from calcifying so his body can be put to use for the new mind she wants to put in there.

The molded getting killed every five minutes on the Baker estate we're a bit of an exception. Because that hive mind was so much smaller, it was easier for Eveline to directly control her 'friends' and force them to regenerate in spite of the fact that they're coming back just to get sent back again. In this au, Miranda has a fairly good grip on guiding the megamycite, but while Eveline only had around 20 minds to manage, Miranda has HUNDREDS.

I have plans to post something more detailed about how the megamgcite hive mind works but I'm waiting until it's more relevant and trust me it will become more relevant!!

Blacked-Eyed Camera - A RadioStatic Fanfic Snippet.

The lights were too bright and it was making Alastor’s leg hurt.

Granted, the lights, themselves, weren’t the direct cause of the ache in his upper thigh, but their harsh brightness burned his eyes, made him sweat underneath the silk, red shirt he’d been dressed in, and was steadily drilling a headache inside his skull. The building discomfort throughout is body pulled his his attention to every other irritant as it made itself known. The sweat beginning to bead on the back of his neck. The sticky cling of his shirt. The dull pang behind his left eyes. The deep, throbbing ache inside his leg.

He fought the urge to dig his fingers into the meat of his thigh, to tear the pain directly out of his bones, and turned his face toward camera as a jaunty, bouncing theme song played through the speakers. Alastor leaned back into the soft blue armchair with a charming smile as Vox, seated behind his desk, spun around on his chair. He planted an arm on the sleek surface to stop himself as soon as he was facing the front of the set.

“And welcome back viewers to Vox 2 Nite,” he said with flourish, greeting the cold, black-eyed lens of the camera stationed in front of them with a dashing smile. His voice was fast and full of boisterous energy. Stimulating in a way to grab his invisible audiences’ attention and quick enough to force them to pay close attention to catch his every rapid-fire word.

“We’ve got a special show for you tonight, folks. Hell’s first, in-depth look into the catastrophic event that racked our beloved, damnable city. We at Vox News know our beloved viewers have been frothing at the mouth for the details, and we’re delighted to finally shed some heavenly light on the subject.” Vox’s expression became coy in a way that implied the juicy details of a tantalizing secret. One that he was all to eager to spill, if only someone asked. “But first, let me introduce you to my co-host.”

He turned to Alastor and the curve of his smile crawled up his screen in what could only be described as pure, vicious delight. Alastor forced himself to relax as he curled his hands on top of his cane, fitting them so perfectly around the curve of the microphone that it was if it’d been molded specifically to his touch. Which, in way, it had. It’d been a constant companion of his since his arrival in Hell, always in reach and always reliable.

He used it’s reliability to ground himself now. To keep his hands from grasping his thigh and squeezing the pain out of his nerves. He looked away from Vox, back toward the camera, and fought back a wince as the harsh lights bored down at him. His headache panged.

“Say hello to Alastor, the most recent addition to the Vee’s,” Vox introduced him. The emphasis on “Vee’s” is subtle. A faint press on the word that's barely noticeable, but Alastor saw it for what it was. An intentional jab. A needling reminder of where he was and who he was with.

As if he could forget.
