Listen my WHOLE inbox is about the modern AU but nobody has specifically asked about this!

So I almost cut it about five times, lol. I wasn't sure if the reader was going to go along with it, and because of where I was starting there wasn't really any build up so I thought it might just come too left-field. In the modern AU, Enver has two levels of food-based control issues, one around his parent's restaurant which is a place based around high density production of food, and one around his second, "adoptive" family and food and class. I like to imagine that Raph taught Enver etiquette with a real edge of cruelty, and that mixed with food as the last binding thing to his parents and therefore the first thing he thinks of when expressing love manifests here.

But even without that context, I wanted to have something that was a sharper reminder that Gortash is controlling. You get it a bit more subtly in his manipulation of her into the position he wants her in before, but it's hazy enough that the reader can kind of? Go along with it being about her desire. I wanted this to feel shocking, to show that even in him giving her pleasure it is still ultimately about him orchestrating his little fantasy, and I hope it slightly reframes what comes before too.

omg you know i have such a hard time conceptualizing what things smell like but i do have a perfume (now discontinued) from BPAL called "tintagel" and this is the official description of it:

Spicy mulled wine flowing through the musky heat, warm leather and bright clash of armor, the damp branches of Cornish hawthorn, blackthorn, juniper, English elm and bayberry, and the magical tingle of dragon's blood resin.

And honestly you can really smell that juniper and what I would call a "damp branches" smell like it is super bright though a lot of reviews are calling it spicy, i definitely wouldn't call it spicy. I really just smell the hawthorn and juniper.

But something like that, but toned down. Smells like a crisp autumn morning in the highlands or something idk

(Also, to answer another 👕 question, 15: would your character wear an outfit someone else picked out: YEAH, HEY TEMMY & DAKOTA, FASHION PHOTOSHOOT DAY not the knight one that's a separate occasion)

👠 haru - oh he can confidently walk in them for sure. he would probably only wear them on special occasions, when hes not in Work Mode (so counts on fingers like. 3 or 4 times in his life lol)

lotus - i think he literally lives in heels. at least small ones. i hate to think how many times he hurt himself terribly when young and trying to make sure he could do anything with heels on that he can also do without. he likes to feel tall.

🔺️ haru - i think he likes... round things. any one thing is hard and i think he'd struggle to answer this himself, but he likes curved shapes - blade of an axe, petals, leaves, a crescent moon. that kind of thing.

lotus - almost the exact opposite i think lol. he's... a bit of a freak when it comes to knives, i think. so he loves sharp things. sharp heels, sharp daggers, actively shapes his nails to as sharp a tip as possible, etc.

😆 haru - sighs dreamily. i think hes more of a guy to stifle his laugh. giggle and maybe snorting if hes not careful. and because he tries to smother it, it just makes him laugh for longer. i think its silly in an endearing way.

lotus - good lord. i think if you ever hear him laugh you're in trouble. i imagine most of the time he laughs it's quite cold. sarcastic, demeaning, "oh you really don't realise you're about to die do you?" laughs aren't common from him. i think if he was genuinely amused, you'd be more likely to get a "hm!" and a slight smile rather than anything else. short and sweet.

I understand the gender struggles, as a Genderfluid person it's always really hard for me to tell what I'm Feeling (TM) in the moment. Doesn't help that usually I don't actually feel anything either way too. But it's also fun just doing whatever and vibing, going with the flow. Sometimes worrying about labels just isn't worth it, do whatever makes you happiest!

He doesn’t know how or what the other did to get that MONSTER out of his body, but he refuses to allow them get close to him. He’s seen through the eyes of that man who calls himself the MASTER — a FRIEND of his of sorts. He’s just as guilty as the other one is at this very moment.

He holds a hand up as a sign to stay away, backing ever so slowly from the other near him. He doesn’t trust him. No, he won’t allow himself to give any trust towards them. How can he give any ounce of it towards the other who kept his enemy alive enough to SNATCH his body? He clears his throat, making the hand movement once more before speaking towards them.
