Bleeding Fairy Helmet/Mycena Haematopus!!

Look at these its a muted red too that complements the colors i see on your blog , and like just cool- but these guys!!!

Not only if you cut it they bleed like a red latex fluid similar to blood [Like blood tooth mushrooms!!] Got its name from the red latex it oozes when damaged!![it bleeds a more purplish red on younger blood fairy helmets!]

They.Glow.In.The.DARK!!! Glow in the dark mushrooms are just so cool. Even though its really hard to see from like the human eye sort of deal cause the light is weak but its still there!!

Even though the Lacks in the brightness from its glow, it makes up for in the beautiful burgundy of its delicate caps!! They can be found throughout Europe & North America.

Another fun name for these guys are burgundydrop bonnets!!! Which like the cutest thing ever???

These guys are also safe to eat but really no benefits and is tasteless from what i know[i need to double check this fact]

They appear in small groups or clusters on things such as decaying logs, trunks, and stumps for example!!

omg no i don't mind AT ALL. i'm not AMAZING at putting my thoughts down with text because some of them are so nebulous BuT i will do my best for a bestie!

alright: for this to make sense, you gotta know that I headcanon pete as autistic. yes he was also abused as a child which DEFINITELY accounts for a lot of the masking behaviour and watching that he does but i feel it's too much for trauma to FULLY explain it.

(plus i kin him and like. look at my username lol)

Pete is I N C R E D I B L E at masking, right? Just think about how easily he pulled himself together in order to talk to his grandmother. in that masking toolbox, his smile is basically a swiss army knife. he takes it out OFTEN and EASILY.

I'm relating this to myself because this is NOT a school assignment (lmao) but the reason I know it's a weapon is because I ALSO use my smile to mask.

So we've seen that Pete masks and his smile is a huge part of that. why does that help? because he's making himself as agreeable as possible to the person he is interacting with. His main trauma response (or response to any danger) is fawn.

Making people like you and taking an interest in people is a GREAT way to come out of interactions unscathed. So people who have hypermpathetic fawn response are very attentive. We try to understand everyone around us because we WANT to be accepted, to get through life unscathed. We remember small things about people, we try to do what they ask etc.

It helps that he's autistic too because pattern recognition is UN REAL in helping you understand people.

The reason that Vegas and Pete are so interested in each other is because THEY CAN'T FIGURE THE OTHER OUT. They usually see through people within five minutes of interacting (it's amazing what trauma can do for that) but every time they interacted with the other, they couldn't see past that wall.

and they didn't. until they spent time together alone, away from everyone and finally relaxed enough to let the other behind the mask. and that's when Pete started devoloping feelings other than interest and repulsion for Vegas.

because boy are hyperempathetic autistics SUCKERS for a boy with sad brown eyes and trauma.
