#thought it might be interesting to throw this out there #I think “playboy” is sometimes used in connection with Roman by Jesse/Mark in a way that can be read as a split from Kieran's view #and that's totally fair #or it can be read as consistent in that that's the image Roman works to project #which i tentatively think may be the implication for what his life looked a little like pre-series but still thinking through that #I think that's what makes Roman so interesting to watch when he's in those party environments #he's clearly good at people in a way his siblings aren't #and he knows how to be in those spaces (even if there's a discomfort with drugs and sex)#see for example how he is with Lawrence in S1 and that he knew about Rhomboid #but at the same time that's clearly not all of Roman or even an accurate reflection of his internal life #and it's unclear how frequently he actually goes out #anyway I think the point is just that Roman is interesting haha #and I think both reads support the fake playboy thing and not like...a real one lol #roman roy #succession #cast interviews #hbo succession #kieran culkin

it's crazy that Sofia Falcone Gigante went into Arkham a nigh aristocratic young woman, composed, polished, elegant, and graceful; she said and did all the right things, that a young woman of the Falcone family ought to. And the Falcones ate her raw. Like her mother, the person that she was was doomed from the beginning.

Then she goes to Arkham and survives for ten years. She learns to become a monster and do what is necessary to stay alive and stay sane. That woman, the one that comes out on the other side of the decade, is the one that knows how to navigate the family. To survive and win.

At this point, it's not even subtext that Arkham and the Falcone family are mirror reflections of each other. Both will take a person and carve away everything but their worst instincts.

The guy just hummed. The leather of his belt snicked, quiet, as he slipped it back into the loops of his trousers. “You had a guy before, didn’t you?” He asked, low, dry. “One that loved you.”

George stared at the ceiling, bringing the cigarette back to his mouth. “About a million years ago.” He muttered, low.

“Mm. Dead or drafted?”

“I don’t know. Both, maybe.”

“Yeah, well.”

He looked like him. Dark eyes and hair, tanned skin.

It had been a recurring pattern since Joe. George just never looked too closely at their faces.

He missed what most of the guy said. “...hope you find him again.”

George put the cigarette out against the nightstand, not looking up. His heart was still beating too fast, and hadn't come down even as he grew more sore. “Exit’s to the left.” He said, quiet.

I’m so normal thinking about Ed and Stede getting to a point where they can tell each other I love you.

And they’re both not used to saying it or having it said to them, so before they get into a decent habit of saying it, it’s always a nice little surprise. Like oh 😳 you love me? 🤭🫣🤭

This applies to most other things really, I can’t wait until they’re giving each others the kinds of affection neither has really experienced before (i.e. cuddling, casual kisses, hand-holding, etc etc) and they’re both just absolutely stupid with it
