Happy international kevin day day!! in honour of my darling sweetheart I will once again share that yes, I’ve got the queen chess piece tattoo as well, because kevin day is such a symbol of growth and overcoming trauma to me, and his existence always reminds me it’s harder but braver to be good person, than to give in to cruelty and hurt. anyways I love him, thanks @korakos for writing this character because genuinely he has changed me for the better :)

Give me Jean who does not want to forgive Kevin, not any time soon anyway, because he refuses to understand why Kevin could leave him, because he actually cares about his life and feels like he deserved a better friend and a better life. Jean who believes Kevin of all people should have been there for him and not betrayed him like that, Jean who now has Jeremy and doesn’t need Kevin in his life anymore.

Give me Kevin who just can‘t feel guilty for leaving. Kevin who hates himself for not taking Jean with him, who hates himself for being a coward and does feel guilty for the pain he‘s caused Jean, but also can’t apologise for leaving the way Jean needs him to. Give me Kevin who sees himself fully replaced in Jean‘s life, knowing he deserves this (they both do), wanting to be happy for Jean but ultimately wishing so so bad he could have stayed Jean‘s best friend because now he feels so. Alone.

Because even if Jean trusts Kevin‘s kindness, his judgement, they will never be the way they were before. Jean will never get over it and Kevin honestly couldn’t ask him to. And they think of each other almost every day, filled with „what if“‘s and unspoken „I miss you“‘s
