Today was shot #29~

Things continue to steadily improve! I'm feeling almost no dizziness anymore - minus a little bit after the injection itself - and it feels like my body is adjusting much, much better.

This week's injection went much more smoothly, too; there wasn't any pain from the needle, and though there's a bit of post-injection discomfort, it's very mild, and I don't anticipate it lingering for too long.

I'm going to see if I can request more of the larger-gauge needles (for drawing the solution from the vial), as I'm running a bit lower on those than the other needles, but I might wait until tomorrow to submit that request (since it might technically still count as a holiday today for some businesses etc.).

On the changes front, I'm noticing a bit more hair growth (specifically face/neck area), and I'm thinking that might account for the itchiness I mentioned in last week's post. I'm on the fence as to whether I want to see if I can try and grow in a full beard - but it's interesting to have something of a sideburn situation going on~

My appetite continues to be annoyingly demanding, but I've been trying to manage that as best I can - mainly through work/distractions, currently - but hopefully that'll calm down a little as my body continues to adjust to the current dosage.

as the years go by, xiao does not age — not in any way physically visible. his spirit wanes and grows weary, but there is nothing one year, or two years, or five, can do that hundreds of it has not done. conversely, over their years of acquaintanceship, mana only seems to regress in age. as in: gauging by their antics, the childishness of this prank is truly a new low.

from a purely strategic standpoint, he could admit the distraction was well executed. if he were less distracted, he would have noticed the ploy, but as mana pointed out: he had made a mistake in their fight prior, and where xiao is aware of his own faults, he is also reflective upon them.

he blames that moment of inattention for taking their bait.

perhaps he should be wary of how well they know him, the slightest tilt of his head accounted for, but in the spirit of it — and despite it all, xiao recognizes as much — he has no anger to muster up in retaliation.

“hmpf,” a breath of air huffed out through parted lips, a hand reached to pull the nose off — “how childish.”

swift as the wind, he places the round nose on mana’s own and vanishes into the air.
