Please tell me the eating the note story, I'm so curious

A friend of mine had a really really shitty toxic abusive ex who sent her a love note and flowers during a party and she came over to me with big moony eyes over how sweet the gesture was and I was like “but you’re not thinking of getting together again, right” and she didn’t answer, and when I went go hand her the note back our other friend said “do NOT give it to her” and she was like “haha no it’s fine im not gonna” and they started arguing over whether or not I could give it back so I panicked and instinctively put it in my mouth. They both stopped and stared at me so I had to double down and actually eat it. It was cardstock too so it took an awkwardly long time to chew down. It tasted bad but after the awkward passed we all had a good laugh about it. They did not in fact end up getting back together. I wrote a short comic about it
