i bought them bc my old pair of black converse lasted me a good 15 years and im converse-pilled but i am definitely frustrated that the quality went down so much and that i have to go to the more expensive option to get something comparable to what i had before. so maybe that was my last pair from them. im good in my budget to spend 20 dollars more than i expected since its an investment and i plan to keep them for as long as the other pair or more, but i know that definitely not everyone can. sam vimes, if you're out there,

converse all stars vs chuck 70 in 2025

the all stars (which i already returned to the store) now have a polyester lining instead of canvas. exterior canvas is the same but maybe thinner because they are visibly slumped over in the box (i have a red pair of all stars from 2015 that are still in good condition. they hold their shape when off the foot). the chuck 70 model are noticeably thicker. both layers are canvas and the sole is also thicker. look up the video comparison by Rose Anvil on yt for more info but this is what i notice off the bat. unfortunately it seems that the all stars aren't what they used to be and for a quality shoe you're going to have to pay a lot more (which to me is fine in the long run because i plan to keep them for a long time, but the barrier of entry keeps getting raised which is not okay when the more affordable option stays the same price but declines in quality) that was Martin's Shoe Corner hope you enjoyed
