How Many Calories Should I Eat Every Day?
Maintaining a healthy diet is important for good health and energy. However, knowing how many calories to consume can be challenging. It is important to consume an appropriate amount of calories to maintain a healthy weight and avoid overeating or under-eating. In this blog post, we will explore how many calories you should eat every day based on your age, gender, activity level, and other factors.
WHAT ARE CALORIES?
Before we dive into how many calories you should consume, it is important to understand what calories are. A calorie is a unit of energy. It is used to measure the amount of energy that food or drink provides to your body. When you consume food, your body breaks it down and converts it into energy, which is then used to fuel your daily activities.
FACTORS THAT AFFECT HOW MANY CALORIES YOU SHOULD CONSUME
Age:Aging impacts your metabolism. This means that you require fewer calories to maintain your weight.
Gender: Men generally require more calories than women due to their larger muscle mass.
Activity Level: If you are more physically active, you will require more calories to fuel your activities.
Body Size: Larger individuals require more calories than smaller individuals.
Muscle Mass: Higher muscle mass will burn more calories than fat, meaning that higher muscle mass need more calories.
HOW TO CALCULATE HOW MANY CALORIES YOU SHOULD CONSUME
Here is the formula for your calorie consumption.
Calories = (10 x weight in kilograms) + (6.25 x height in centimeters) - (5 x age) + 5
For example, if you are a 30-year-old woman who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, you would convert your weight to kilograms (150 ÷ 2.2 = 68.18) and your height to centimeters (5 feet 6 inches = 66 inches = 167.64 centimeters). Then, you would plug those numbers into the formula:
Calories = (10 x 68.18) + (6.25 x 167.64) - (5 x 30) + 5
Calories = 1363.6 + 1047.75 - 150 + 5
Calories = 2266.35
This means that this woman should consume approximately 2,266 calories per day to maintain her weight.
It is important to note that this formula provides an estimate and may not be accurate for everyone. It is always best to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian for personalized recommendations.
How to Maintain Healthy Diet Based on Calories Consumption
Now that you know how many calories you should consume, it is important to ensure that you are getting the right nutrients. Here are some tips for maintaining a healthy diet:
Consume a variety of foods: Include lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and healthy fats in your diet.
Limit processed foods: Processed foods frequently contain a lot of calories, bad fats, and added sugars.
Cut on sugary drinks: Sugary drinks are high in calories and provide little nutritional value. Choose water or unsweetened beverages instead.
Practice portion control: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating.
So you must have understood how many calories you require every day. To get more clarity, reach out to any good dietician or your personal trainer for weight loss, fitness classes and group classes.

Tired and grump and hungry. I’m in a bad habit of working from 4am (6am Hobart time) until 10pm (midnight Hobart time) when I go to KL. There’s always so much prep and shit to get done for the team work, my work etx and then all day meetings, then they want socials, then I get back and followup on all the days work. It’s like I get into this frame of mind where I’m just flying, skimming the ground, I barely eat and I certainly don’t go to the gym.
I need to get home where I have a puppy who needs endless running and a pace of life that is slow and measured by the seasons. And particularly now in autumn. So still, so clear, so blue and so crisp, I resent every moment I’m not outside drinking it in.

I did these a while back with the art in my previous post(originally posted on my ig). The original charts belong to @biscuitmydear look at her art pls thx🫶
Gonna be having two separate posts for them bc photo limit :,,,)
Read more for word dumps and more relationship charts
- Pit saved Farah's younger brother during the first Kl, so she admires his bravery and kindness. He actually saw her once when she was aiding a nearby town back then, and thinks that's really cool of her
- Farah and a majority of the Centurion Strongarms go to the same gym. They're buddies, sharing workout regiments and meal plans💪💪💪
- One of her cousins went into a coma bc of the Chaos Kin not long after it escaped the Lunar Sanctum, so she doesn't like Arlon for building it so close to her extended family's home.
- Phosphora and Farah are exes but remained good friends even after the breakup. They kinda still have feelings for each other, but trying again is harder now that they work for rivaling goddesses
- Her and Hewdraw might be really really really reallllllllly distant relatives on her mom's side, but neither care enough to check the ancestry🤸
- Gaol and Farah used to dislike each other, but after it was revealed that she was just possessed by the Underworld Army they're cool now :) She's since then come in contact with Gaol and Magnus several times after ch2, bc of their similar areas of work. (I should've put them as friends on the chart, whoops-🤸)
- Farah met Dyntos and Poseidon when she was younger, since her dad and them were part of the divine pantheon before it disbanded. Now they hardly talk aside from whenever her mom needs Dyntos to fix her prosthetic arm
- Bc of the alliance her extended family has with a majority of the Galactic Sea creatures, the kraken doesn't mind Farah, while she's ecstatic about being able to get up close to it without risking getting eaten💀
- The "stay away from her" comment is 100% referring to Pyrrhon's longtime beef with her sister lmaooo
- Chrysanthe met Palutena in the divine pantheon when they were kids. They haven't kept close ties since the group disbanded, but they've at least been mutuals on their socials.
- Viridi and her have the most silent not so silent beef and they fucking hate it💀 As much as they'd want to beat the sh it out of each other for stepping over their boundaries(one trying to end humanity with nature while one is aiding humanity with the Sun). But both would be negatively affected if either one is eliminated. So the only thing they can do is let their allies fight while they side eye each other lmaoo
- Chrysanthe is fighting all of the Underworld, taking no prisoners💪👁️👁️💪They're one of her and Farah's main enemies, since that army is usually the one they have to protect people from.
- Though Poseidon doesn't mind her, the feeling isn't mutual, especially after she learns about the city he sunk. Chrysanthe doesn't outwardly dislike him, since he's allied with her cousin, Bélalune.
- Pyrrhon and Chrysanthe have been fighting about who's the actual Sun god for decades. Bro can't even be near the Sun, "curse of Ra" nah that's a restraining order from Ra pls leave his daughter/successor alone😭

I need to up my technical skills. Work on coding projects regularly. Find a new job.
Today I wrote/tweeted a lot, booked my flight to Chicago, finished up some research spec-ing a job for work, had chilli and curd rice, then went to the gym with FM. It was supposed to be FM and KL, but KL was delayed with a good poker game, so FM and I finished off some errands. I owe Will a U of ____ Moms T shirt, so I went to the campus bookstore to buy one, but they were out of stock. I was hoping to drop it off to him when I go to Seattle, but that's fine; I can order it online and ship it to him later. I dropped off the shoes I'm returning, got a lemonade, went to the gym. I was so tired I hardly worked out at all. Then KL joined us, we went to the sauna and swam, which was wonderful. We were starving after and it was a warm night; we all got what we wanted to eat and ate outside and talked. Then we went back to my place and sat on the couch. I dozed off.
They're both going to miss me as I travel terribly. I'm going to miss them terribly too. I realized how much I love Toronto.

I dag startede min roadtrip gennem Tassie!
Meget fjollede dyr.
Mandag (Bicheno - Launceston):

Kuala Lumpur
Forest Eco park in middle of the city.
We arrived to Kuala Lumper ( K L) after a short 1 hour 30 min flight from Krabi landing on the 6th April. Our pre booked AirBnB apartment was everything we could of hoped for, swimming pool, gym, games room and surrounded by hundreds of restaurants and necessities. We chose to stay out of the main tourist area and be close to a Jiu jitsu gym for the boys so Desa Park City fitted our needs. To our surprise Desa Park is also known for Hot Pots, parks, dogs and mermaids ( a new sensation where people dress up as mermaids and swim around in pools). Now these aren't your typical big dogs playing catch at your local park oh no these are little fluffy dogs often found wearing a nappy being pushed around in a pram and sometimes wearing full dress attire.
Lake Symphony water show KL central park
During our 2 month stay here we have enjoyed our favourite eatery hot spots like PV Manja, our local cafe where we enjoy our brunch most days. Brian and Jonny know our order and they make the best coffee / full english breakfast in town. Sushi Hero our local Japanese restaurant, high class food for great value less than $40nz for us all to feast like kings. Leo has loved our dinner's out at a local hot pot, although he does like to boss Rupert around telling him what to add to the cooking pot!
Finn celebrated his 10th birthday at Malaysia's largest water park Splash Mania, with over 40 slides this place was truly insane. We went on a weekday and didn't have to queue once, slides for all the daredevils out there including a 2 storey high vertical drop one where the floor beneath gives out and you drop into a loop, Leo went on this twice!
Black forest cake
During our stay the boys trained at Blueprint Martial arts under head coach Silvio Braga ( 5th degree blackbelt). They trained 3 days and week and enjoyed learning new techniques. Coach Silvio was used to training top athletes and was left to fill in for the kids coach who had left short notice. It was very interesting watching this dynamic and seeing his knowledge of over 35 years of BJJ was really special.
Blueprint Desa Park City
We had left home with a full wooden chess and backgammon set but found this was too heavy and had to leave back at Bottle beach, so we decided to look for some new travel games. We discovered Board games cafe a family run business that not only has the biggest selection of board games to buy that i've ever seen but a seperate place where you can play. The owner helps set up and explains the rules and his 9 year old daughter Rachel sometimes joins in, Rachel is one to watch out for she definitely out smarted us on more than one occasion. We brought some cool new games to play on the road like Bandito, Deep sea adventure, Dobble and Rat a tat tat.
Board Games cafe
KL had a lot of things to see and do. The Butterfly Park was a great day out surrounded by thousands of different butterflies flying close by and even landing on you. Leo had found a new Butterfly friend he named Nacho which stayed on his hand for the whole time we were there.
KL skyline luge( same company as the ones in NZ) special birthday treat from Nanny.
Superpark was an epic indoor playground with rock climbing, trampolines, pedal carts and lots more games. One of the rides im not sure qualified as overly safe where Finn had encountered his knee to his nose. Apart from that minor hiccup we had a fun day out to celebrate Finn's birthday, thanks Granny.
Batu Caves
Guarded by a monumental statue of Hindu deity Lord Murugan, the Batu Caves are a Malaysian national treasure. These limestone caves formed more than 400 million years ago harbour Hindu temples where dioramas of mythic scenes glow beneath stalactites. The 272 brightly coloured stairs draw you up towards the entrance of the temple as you pass dozens of monkeys perched on pillars and scurrying about, you catch your breath and take in the beauty. There are 3 main caves as you walk through and you experience the beautiful art work, sculptures and people offering up food/incense and flowers to their god.
Our 2 months spent in KL was just what we needed, a chance to slow down, stay put and just take it easy. We definitely want to explore more of Malaysia in the future but there's plenty of time for that. KL had so much to offer families with there endless activities which we definitely made the most of. The cost of living here is low which makes eating out for all meals a breeze and getting around with Grab ( uber) is so cheap. We have had so many fun times here as a family whether is was teaching the boys how to play a game of pool, water parks, ice skating or our daily swims in our pool.
Next stop..... Da Nang Vietnam
