"Universal Convergence" (2024) - Gwyllm Llwydd I have been working on Mandalas in multiple iterations for decades.
"Universal Convergence" took 10 months, infinite hours and lots, lots of acrylic pens. It is on one hand Pointillism, but on a scale I haven't worked before.
Every bit of colour that you see in this photo is a point. Not brushed, or airbrushed. Dots from here to infinity.
My Beloved thinks me mad when I go down this path, and truly, I have no way of explaining what is happening when I do these, but as I work, great inner vistas open up, and I wander, deeply wander.
Soon to be a print, if interested.
Bright Blessings, Gwyllm

Annie Philpot by Julia Margaret Cameron in 1864. via Gwyllm Llwydd (fb)
Julia Margaret Cameron (née Pattle; 11 June 1815, Calcutta, British India – 26 January 1879, Kalutara, British Ceylon) was a British photographer who is considered one of the most important portraitists of the 19th century.
She is known for her soft-focus close-ups of famous Victorian and for illustrative images depicting characters from mythology, Christianity, and literature. She also produced sensitive portraits of women and children.
Cameron took up the practice at the relatively late age of 48, after her daughter gave her a camera as a present.
After establishing herself first among Calcutta's Anglo-Indian upper-class and then among London's cultural elite, Cameron formed her own salon frequented by distinguished Victorians at the seaside village of Freshwater, Isle of Wight.

Bee Mandala - Gwyllm Llwydd
* * * *
“If they’re here—all females in a winter hive—they’re clustered together inside (an oak tree), queen at the heart of their sisterhood. The fine, transparent wings they beat hard in summer’s heat—a constant buzzing fan to keep the hive from cooking—they hold, now, folded and still. The tiny muscles to which those wings are attached shiver. One honey bee shivering her flight muscles does not make much heat. But twenty thousand, huddled together, shivering, can keep the queen and the colony’s honey supply at their core at a tropical ninety-two degrees Fahrenheit, even as blizzard winds, inches away, flail the trunk.”

Good Morning/Afternoon Tumblrs!
The High Priestess... stands in the two worlds, straddles the holy hinge, streaming between the veil, in one hand, sacrifice, in one hand salvation. The High Priestess... is the cyclic mystic, the rhythmic Pythia, the serpentine kismet, on one side the womb, on one side the tomb. The High Priestess... raises the drum and the call, the holy wail and howl, dances between the worlds, balancing between the predator, balancing between the prey. The High Priestess... offers both seed and decay, holds the keys of cosmic gates, cup filled with shine and shadow, one hand in the above, one hand in the below. The High Priestess. text 7/31/15 -Nuit Moore Nuit Moore, The Scarlet Shakti art: The High Priestess... 2015: Gwyllm Llwydd
