El agua en el río Hvítá viaja desde el glaciar Langjökull, antes de caer en cascada 32 metros (105 pies) por las dos etapas de Gullfoss en una exhibición dramática del poder bruto de la naturaleza. I was chasing waterfalls today and of the three ones that I visited, Gullfoss was the most spectacular one. The water in Hvítá river travels from the glacier Langjökull, before cascading 32 meters (105 feet) down Gullfoss’ two stages in a dramatic display of nature’s raw power. The canyon walls on both sides of the waterfall reach heights of up to 70 metres (230 feet), descending into the great Gullfossgjúfur canyon.
