@icarian-carrion liked this for a random lyric starter, dramatic pop girlie edition.

"just because something can't be changed, don't mean you don't get to ask for an apology for it when it happens. not if it bothers you." decker shrugged. a small little movement. pressing their foreheads together again as he caressed her cheek. a soft sigh rolling off his lips. "I'll keep you up to date." decker promised. "when he gets like that. i'll go find you." he always did think him and memo worked better together as a team anyway. could see all the weak spot's in his and memo's personalities that could be smoothed out by having the other around. it was a problem, actually, usually anyway. sorry i'm just bad at talking do you think you could go ask memo? he knows what i mean. wasn't the kind of thing he could just say. except with sammy— with sammy everything sort of fell into place somehow.
Tumblr media
"now here is what i think—" memo came in already halfway through a sentence. packing back and forth. "laminated security glass, pressure plates, thermal control, all of that inside one painting. you know what i think? i think that's a whole lot of tech shit that can go wrong. more than that, i think that's a whole lot of tech shit that i can easily trigger, that will make them panic and move the painting inside away from all the people and cameras and other paintings with other dumb tech shit and—" he paused, to both breathe and look at sammy. memo smiled. "hi, angel."
Tumblr media
" i know... " she mumbled, her eyes fluttering back closed as his lips pressed all over her face, very much filling the promise of lulling her. she'd known memo was complicated from the moment they met, and had known it with more certainty each time they'd met after. she'd tried to keep her own feelings from herself as long as she could because of that, and when that failed she'd constantly tried to resign herself to the fact that it was likely she was getting herself into something she might not entirely be able to handle the whole of. but it was hard for sammy to resign herself to anything. she told herself she should've known better what the absences and " busy " times would do to her anxiety once she'd picked up on it, because she'd never done well with feeling sidelined. sudden silences had always set her on edge, made her worry and dig divots in her palms that she was being left again... but every time he came back she was just glad he was there. she'd take anything, even memo's tiniest of scraps. even if she gave him a hard time for it in the moment, he was forgiven of anything he could've done before he'd even done it. " there's nothing to really talk about. if that's part of who he is, i'm not in the business of trying to think i should change people... sucks being left in the dark sometimes but, it doesn't really matter... " she breathed out a sigh that morphed into a yawn.

Thanks for being real today.
I get people wanting to be hopeful.
But I can't with "it will be okay" and "we will survive this."
It was not okay for Heather Heyer, Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber, Joyce Fienberg, Richard Gottfried, Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil & David Rosenthal, Bernice & Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax, Irving Younger, Andre Anchondo, Jordan Anchondo, Arturo Benavides, Leonardo Campos, Angie Englisbee, Maria Flores, Raul Flores, Guillermo "Memo" Garcia, Jorge Calvillo García, Adolfo Cerros Hernández, Alexander Gerhard Hoffman, David Johnson, Luis Alfonzo Juarez, Maria Eugenia Legarreta Rothe, Maribel (Campos) Loya, Ivan Filiberto Manzano, Elsa Mendoza Marquez, Gloria Irma Márquez, Margie Reckard, Sara Esther Regalado Moriel, Javier Rodriguez, Teresa Sanchez, Juan Velazquez, or any of the other people killed by white supremacists whose actions were aided and abetted by the Trump presidency. These people did not survive. Not to mention all the people who haven't survived COVID, but might have if the Trump administration had taken timely action. Or the women who have died after being refused appropriate medical care because of the rapist and his buddies that Trump appointed decided with some weird pastor in the 1600 said was more important than the lives of actual living, breathing, human beings. Or the school children who would not have been shot to death if we had actual gun control laws in this country, a thing that would have been possible to achieve if Trump had lost in 2016.
Yeah, sure, the majority of us in the United States will probably survive. That's how statistics work. And if that's what somebody needs to hear in order to move forward, then I guess saying such things has a purpose. But it's looking pretty shitty for anybody living in Ukraine and to me, it comes across as disrespectful to the people whose lives have been lost in no small part thanks to what goes down in US elections.
I needed somebody today who would say not only that this is not okay, but this is *really* not okay.
Thanks for being that voice.
Thank you for this. I can't help but write what I feel, even if some of it hasn't been the most optimistic message to send. There is a reality that we need to come to terms with in order to find some way forward. I'm pissed off and I'm disgusted with this country, so I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing because it is therapeutic for me right now and I'm too old to go around punching and kicking people.
I do want to say that I'm also cognizant of the fact that some people just need some time to allow this reality to settle. I certainly don't want to add to the stress or darkness that some of us are feeling right now. There is no denying that this is fucking terrible, but we will regroup and find a way through it. It won't be easy and we're going to have to fight, but I don't want anybody to think that there is genuinely no hope. There's always something that we can do, even if it seems bleak.
If I'm writing something or somebody else is saying something that you're not ready to hear, it's okay to do what you need to do to remain healthy. These posts are going to be here whenever you might feel like reading them. You can and should step away from this if you just need a fucking break. It doesn't mean you're any less ready or willing to fight this battle than anybody else. Even if Trump and the rotten MAGA cult takes control of every lever of power, you can gain a personal victory by not allowing them to completely crush your faith in the future. You can be depressed and despair, but do not give up. Do not give them that power over you. We will find a way. We will get through this. We will figure out what it is that we need to do and who we need to back and how we need to attack, but taking care of your personal health and well-being is more immediately important than the bigger political battle or the next step in the resistance. Take care of yourselves first and we'll still be here and ready to eventually harness this anger and frustration and fucking disgust to defeat the MAGA movement and Trump's Christian nationalist personality cult.
The main thing, though, is that if you're really having a tough time in the immediate future, step away, take some time, go for a walk, read something that has absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump or American politics (if you need suggestions, I always have book recommendations!), and regroup. Again, we'll get through this, and as goofy and weird and ridiculous as Tumblr can be at times, there's always a community of people on this site willing to listen and help each other when we're struggling. So, if you are having trouble getting to tomorrow, reach out because there are scores of people here who will help get there with you.

Given how thoroughly it's diffused into popular culture it's obviously not gonna go away for any reason other than being unfashionable, but I really do find that "Chudjack" grotesque.
Like, you guys know it's a caricature of a real guy, right? Patrick Crusius? A real guy who killed 23 real people?
I can't even imagine what it'd be like to have a loved one taken away from me like that, only to see their killer's image take on such a ghoulish half-life.
I am not interested in seeing memes where the icon of Patrick Crusius is depicted as a cartoonish stand-in for online reactionaries. I do not want to see subversive takes on Patrick Crusius where he is depicted as "redeemed". He murdered 23 people. He's still on trial (state charges) for murdering 23 people. On the federal level he pled guilty to 45 murder and 45 hate crime charges.
Remember that.
Remember Andre Anchondo. Remember Jordan Anchondo. Remember Arturo Benavides. Remember Leonardo Campos. Remember Angie Englisbee. Remember Maria Flores. Remember Raul Flores. Remember Guillermo "Memo" Garcia. Remember Jorge Calvillo García. Remember Adolfo Cerros Hernández. Remember Alexander Gerhard Hoffman. Remember David Johnson. Remember Luis Alfonzo Juarez. El Gringo dice: - Hola, de donde eres?
El Mexicano responde: - Hola, soy de México
Gringo: - Aahh!
Gringo - No!!!

"well, yeah, but, they are not the same for everyone, even when it's the same person. first thing i noticed about you was your eyes. first thing decker ever mentioned about you was your smile. clearly, you like me for my irresistible charm and magnetic personality. i think deck likes me because i'm smart." he laughed, running a hand through her forehead. slowly brushing her hair back and behind her ear. "i like your laugh." memo mumbled, smile soft and warm, fingertips running aimlessly through her hair. "you do know you have one boyfriend more than most of the population, right?" he chuckled. "like i'm sure some people have three or four so i won't say everyone. but most people, most people really only have either one or none."
Tumblr media
" well... yeah, if you think about it, " she shrugged. " everybody, they do... they have their things, that make people wanna, yanno, they wanna be around you 'cause you do them, " and she wasn't sure what hers were, or if she really had many. as he came and sat beside her, she sighed and settled into his arms without fuss. " no, 'm too loud when i laugh, " she shook her head. " i don't want you to do anything like me. no one should really. i mean, i was askin' 'cause... i feel like whatever the hell my things are must not be very compelling, or something, " not enthralling, eye catching, enamoring. not enough.

Linea Del Tiempo Literatura Argentina
Tumblr media
algunas de sus obras mas importantes fueron:
Martín Fierro. José Hernández.
Ficciones.
La invención de Morel. Adolfo Bioy Casares.
Rayuela. Julio Cortázar.
Los siete locos. Roberto Arlt.
El túnel. ...
El beso de la mujer araña. ...
Bomarzo: La Vida Y Aventuras Del Duque De Orsini Un Visionario D El Rey
