I welcome ALL recommendations. ____________ My Ratings Defined ____________ I use traditional 5-star ratings (no ½ stars for individual tracks). Keep in mind that these ratings change over time with repeat listens. 🎧 o  5.00 = A Masterpiece (See hashtag "foodsicFire" ) o  4.50 = Fucknomenal (foodsicFire) - The album is phenomenal and stands a good chance at being named a classic in the upcoming years. Nearly every song is a banger and it has no track-skips. o  4.25 = Excellent (foodsicFire for some) - Has enough to be more than great, but I'm not sure if it has the potential to be fucknomenal in the near future. This album will be in constant replay for a good portion of the year and every song is listenable. o  4.00 = Solid - The album is something I'm going to listen to more than a few times and will probably stay in my rotation for the next few months. Only has a few missteps in the project. o  3.75 = Pretty Good - The album has a lot going for it. More than likely I'm going to be listening to it for the next month or so and many of the tracks I can get into. o  3.00 to 3.50 = OK to Average - The album might very well have a few stand-out tracks but that's it.  There is nothing that is going to keep my attention for more than 1 or 2 days. o  2.25 to 3.00 = Mostly Garbage – If I’m lucky, I’ll find at least one 5-star track worthy of inclusion to my “JewPac Best Of” playlists series so hopefully, my time wasn’t wasted here. o  Below 2.00 = Pure Shit. At year end, I will release my top 50 hip-hop albums & "JewPac Best Of" playlist series via 8tracks (see bio link). The prolific Gucci Mane returns with a new album, Droptopwop. It is produced by Metro Boomin; guests include Rick Ross, Offset (of Migos), 2 Chainz, and Young Dolph. Droptopwop is Gucci’s first full-length of 2017. Last year, after being released from prison in May, he put out six projects: Everybody Looking, the GucTiggy EP (with Zaytoven), Woptober, Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition (with Future), 1017 vs. the World (with Lil Uzi Vert), and The Return of East Atlanta Santa.

Swet Shop Boys: Sufi La EP [Customs] 

Swet Shop Boys—Heems (formerly of Das Racist), Riz MC (Riz Ahmed) and UK producer Redinho—released a physical edition of their new EP, Sufi La, on Record Store Day (April 22). Nick Cave and Warren Ellis composed the score for the Netflix original film War Machine, which was directed by David Michôd and stars Brad Pitt, Topher Grace, Tilda Swinton, and others. Last year, Cave and Ellis scored the film Hell or High Water, adding to a catalog that includes scores for Far From Men and 2009’s The Road, which both star Viggo Mortensen.

Gucci Mane has announced a new album. It’s called Drop Top Wop. The record (which he has teased since January) is set for release on Friday, May 26—the one-year anniversary of his release from prison. The project is produced by Metro Boomin. Featured artists include Rick Ross, Migos’ Offset, 2 Chainz, and Memphis rapper Young Dolph. See the Drop Top Wop artwork and tracklist below. Gucci Mane is touring for the first time in his career; find his upcoming schedule here.

Following his May 2016 prison release, Gucci put out six projects: Everybody Looking, the GucTiggy EP (with Zaytoven), Woptober, Free Bricks 2: Zone 6 Edition (with Future), 1017 vs. the World (with Lil Uzi Vert), and The Return of East Atlanta Santa.

So far in 2017, Gucci has announced The Autobiography of Gucci Mane (due September 19) and released an EP with Shawty Redd (3 for Free). He’s also shared the song “Make Love” with Nicki Minaj, and appeared on numerous tracks like Mike WiLL Made-It’s “Perfect Pint,” Migos’ “Slippery,” and a remix of Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like.”
