So I finished reading the fourth book of an incredible series, it is Gregor and the Marks of Secret (The Underland Chronicles) by Suzanne Collins and its my favorite book of the series so far. It is just mind blowing there are so many scenes about Gregor's feelings for Luxa and it's all so cute. I really feel this series are kind of ignored but really guys you need to read these books I have no words for it. Now I'm gonna read the last book of the series, Gregor and the Code of Claw I hope it all ends good.

“So..” hazard grinned, leaning down to look his 5 year old niece in the eye. “Are you ready?” “for what?” Penelope asked, her hands swinging at her side. “Im gonna teach you something very special.” hazard said, smiling down at her. Phillipe, 7, snorted. “Yeah right. Is this gonna be like that time you brought us twelve puppies from the overland and mum and dad were very upset?” he asked, hands on his hips. “Noooo. And besides you got to keep those!” he shot back. Phillipe rolled his eyes, gently pushing his 2 year old brother james away as the baby tried to crawl into his lap where he was playing with race cars. “Im gonna teach you a dance.” hazard said, clapping when no one seemed interested. “Dance?” Wolf came waddling over to where his twin was standing. Sophie just rolled her eyes, (very opinionated for a 6 year old in hazards opinion, and very much like her mother) and kept on reading her book. Fred and charlie stopped wrestling though, and looked up. “What kinda dance?’ they asked in the clipped language that was a mix between gregor's overland drawl, which was more underlander by the day, and the underlanders clipped speech. “Its a special dance from the overland.” boots said, standing in the hallway. “Parents only teach it to those few special kids. Like yourselves.” she came over and squatted next to her boyfriend, still in Regalia Uniform as designated peacespeaker guard. (hazards title. So his guard) She turned and gave him a wink to which he grinned and turned back to his nieces and nephews. “You wanna learn it?” “yeah!” the younger ones yelled. Phillipe and sophie exchanged a glance before sighing and walking over. “Sure.” Hazard grinned mischievously. “Alright, well it starts with-”

“YOU PUT YOUR HAND IN!”

“Hazard!”

“YOU TAKE YOUR HAND OUT!”

“Don't blame me! Boots got them on board!”

He doesn't know why he did it. But he did. He accepted his Aunt Maddie's invite to stay with her on the farm over the summer. After his uncle johns death, maintaining the farm had gotten difficult, so Gregor had reached out and volunteered. He packed light, only a few shirts and two shorts, one long pair of pants that he could shorten if he wanted to, and of course his blades. His parents didn't know about that part. With a kiss to his sisters cheeks and a promise to return to his mother, annoyedly and begrudgingly, Gregor left, hopping on the next bus to Virginia. His relationship with his other had improved slightly after she had banned them from setting foot there ever again, and had been willing to let ares and hundreds more die just to save herself, but it was still slow progress, and her pestering to be a normal boy certainly didn't help. The first night, Gregor relaxed with his aunt, listening to some music and relaxing by the fire, exchanging stories from when they were younger. The second night, Gregor was hit with a wave of homesickness, not for the apartment building in new york, but the place beneath it, his true home. Still he worked hard for his aunt and she was overjoyed to have him. (She personally reminded him a lot of mrs cormanci.) A month after he had first come to stay with her, she gave him a soft nudge after dinner. “?” he looked at her surprised. She smiled. “Ever seen the farm at night?” she asked. He shook his head. While he wasn't scared of the dark, nor overly fond of light, he tended to stay inside every night. She smiled. “Check it out.” he obliged, grabbing a flashlight and heading deep into one of the wheat fields. When the sky was dark enough, he flicked off his light. “Oh.” tears streamed down his face and he grabbed his phone, snapping a million pictures, finally sighing and collapsing to the ground. “You would have loved it.” he mumbled and edited one picture, writing, “You never did get to see the stars all those nights ago.” hit with melancholy and longing, Gregor stood and ran back to the farm. 

He doesn't know why he did it. But he did. He went back to New York, and went to Central Park. 

She was waiting. And then, years later. 4 years, eight months and two days to be exact, she does get to see the stars, like they both talked about, all those night ago.

Gregor Later Life Headcannons

•Gregor’s family moves to Virginia after his Grandma dies. She never got to return to the farm •He still stays in touch with Larry and Angelina though •Gregor finds out that Simon, the name his Grandmother sometimes called him was his great uncle who had passed away just months before his Grandmother •Boots forgets about the Underland but still has a strange bond with cockroaches. (She always calls them Temp but she doesn’t know who that is) •Once Gregor is college-aged, he decides he doesn’t belong in the Overland •He goes back to New York and into the Underland where he hopes to be reunited with Luxa and all his friends •Boots is told he is going to college but she knows something is wrong with that •They tell Boots about the Underland and she starts to remember (After that she obviously won’t just stay home while Gregor leaves) •The family decides to move back to New York so they can visit Gregor and their friends. Even Gregor’s mom agrees •When Gregor first arrives, he is shocked to learn that Vikus has died •He immediately goes to find Luxa who cries with joy when she sees him •She tells him she always knew he would come back •They have a welcome back celebration and they talk about everything that has happened since he left •The bond with the rats is going well and many more humans have bonded with the nicer rats •Finally she tells him about a bat he should meet, the new Queen Nike’s son •They travel on Aurora to the land of the bats •Gregor is glad to see Nike again •Nike leads them to a cave where Gregor sees a bat. A large bat as black as night •Nike tells him that his name is Ares, after his father ………………………………………………………. •Gregor and Ares end up bonding and soon afterward, he and Luxa marry and Gregor becomes the King of the Underland
