Donald Trump is in the midst of his Manhattan criminal trial over accusations that he covered up a hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in a plot to buy her silence ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Fox News personalities have responded by launching a campaign against the jurors who hold the former president’s fate, claiming people are trying to “rig” the jury and that “stealth” potential jurors are hiding their backgrounds to get seated. They’ve also scrutinized individual jurors over their jobs and interests. Meanwhile, one juror stepped down in part over concern about people discovering who she was. In the first week after jury selection started, Fox News guests and personalities made at least 89 such claims.

Judge Merchan has ripped up Trump's due process rights: Gregg Jarrett

THE TRUMP TRIALS I'm not vying to be Trump's Vice-President pick, but you likely knew I was going to cover this topic anyway. Former President Trump can sometimes be verbally abrasive to many and he often commits several unforced errors, but something about these trials against him seem overtly political to me and many others.

Gregg Jarrett penned an insightful article on Fox News regarding the hush money trial, breaking down how illogical & meritless it is. According to him, Stormy Daniels apparently at one point denied the affair, then turned around and denied that denial! (So does that mean she legitimizes her accusations only when it's convenient?) Also, lawyer Jarrett makes it clear that Non-Disclosure Agreements (a key topic in the case) aren't illegal and whether Trump knew about it or not, it isn't criminal to have knowledge of a "non-crime". Finally, the election in question took place in 2016, and yet D.A. Alvin Bragg accuses Trump of "falsifying" records in 2017, post-election! How in the world does that work?!

And regarding the previous case against Trump brought by New York State Attorney General Letitia James: I don't know whether or not the Trump organization inflated their stated valuations. If you don't already know by now, I'm not a real estate mogul. However, commercial real experts have stated that many companies & businesses supposedly overstate their commercial property valuations. And Fox News stated that the Trump organization even instructed the involved banks to not use their company's valuations! Seems to me there was no intent to defraud there. And yet Letitia James proceeded with the case and Judge Engoron happily decreed a near half-billion penalty!

In March of this year, the New York Post pointed out that NY Attorney General Letitia James served up a lawsuit against major beef producer JBS USA Food Co. Details of the case reveal that her complaint against JBS stems primarily from the left-leaning belief that beef contributes to climate change. It's absolutely unbelievable. So that's why I haven't seen those commercials touting New York as a go-to destination for new businesses anymore! It must be clear to everyone, even the NY tourism board, that any corporation or individual that goes against the "woke" mantra of the moment is doomed to face prosecution or harassment!

According to the well-known phrase, justice is meant to be blind and intended to be applied equally. Justice is not meant to be dished out vindictively to political opponents or used as a means of harassment against those who believe differently or who question the establishment. Whether or not you agree with Trump, whether you despise him or respect him, if we're honest, I think we can all agree that unfortunately we've entered a dangerous phase in America with the Biden administration's indictments against a leading political rival. And what Democrats don't seem to realize is that these haphazard charges are setting alarming precedents that can also be used against them in the future. As I've written before, do we really want to venture down this route as a country?

This trial has done its job of sidelining Trump from the campaign trail for FOUR weeks now, including irrelevant character assassination from a lying, extortionist porn star, but the prosecution claims they’ll need another week. They have yet to come within the same zip code of establishing that Trump committed any crime.

The “highlights” of Friday’s testimony included a recitation of various Trump tweets, a detailed examination of phone records that don’t establish who was on the calls or what they talked about, and the interrogation of Trump's former personal assistant Madeline Westerhout. She testified that he signed hundreds of things daily, sometimes while doing other things like making phone calls and not even reviewing what he was signing. When asked if some things were sent by FedEx to avoid security protocols, she said no, it was to get them there faster. Well, duh!

Thank heavens our tax money is paying for this!

By the way, while Alvin Bragg is trying to put Trump in prison for life over alleged attempts to hide documents, his own paralegal revealed on the stand that the prosecution deleted about three pages worth of phone records that are being used as evidence in the trial. Coming distraction: Here's Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett on Bragg’s “star witness” Michael Cohen, who will be taking the stand next week, and I don’t mean he’ll be stealing it, but that’s a possibility. Jarrett reports that Cohen is not only a chronic and habitual liar and a serial perjurer, but he’s facing further pending referrals for perjury by the DOJ. For instance, six months ago, he infuriated a judge by lying under oath while pleading guilty to perjury. Anyone can be a lying, dishonest slimeball, but you must admit it takes a special talent to commit perjury while pleading guilty to committing perjury.

Since the beginning of former President Donald Trump’s Manhattan criminal trial, Fox News figures and guests have repeatedly challenged the integrity of the judge presiding over the case, Juan Merchan. Throughout the duration of the trial, figures on Fox News have lobbed at least 220 such attacks at Merchan, suggesting that the judge has an anti-Trump bias so the “fix is in,” attacking his handling of the case as “supremely biased” and “severely compromised,” and claiming the judge should have recused himself.

The figures who launched the most attacks on the judge on the network were Hannity, followed distantly by host Laura Ingraham (12 claims), host Jeanine Pirro (11 claims), legal analyst Gregg Jarrett (10 claims), and host Mark Levin and contributor Leo Terrell (9 claims each). Notably, most of those figures host shows, and five out of the six have legal degrees.  The programs that pushed the most attacks on Merchan were opinion shows Hannity (52), The Ingraham Angle (26), and the network's weekday morning show, Fox & Friends (20). They were followed by so-called news-side show The Faulkner Focus (18) as well as weekend show Life, Liberty & Levin (13). While Fox personalities and guests issued the majority of attacks on opinion shows (150), they also impugned Merchan's impartiality 70 times on Fox’s so-called news shows.
