Due to Gilgamesh not having canon birthday I made a HC that Bridge Day is his birthday/general Final Fantasy Gilgamesh appreciation day. I made my first ever birthday spaghetti and ordered a cake for the big guy, love you sm Greg and your other versions

I have acquired one of the Gilgamesh stuff I ever wanted. I do prefer the normal version like on the figure's card info but its better than nothing, plus the details on this gachapon figure is superb!

Plus I get to nab the trading mini bartz as seen on Final Fantasy Pictlogica and World of Final Fantasy, it was out of print like the Gilgamesh one plus it's been ages I wanted to nab him (he's rather small....)

Guess who finally played the Gladio DLC?

Gilgamesh is really a badass in FFXIV. I can imagine the whiplash Cor Leonis had when he met FFV Gilgamesh in Dissidia.

From the first King's Shield who believe only strong people should live to meeting a loveable warrior giant who fanboys on him.

Considering Cor was 15 years old when he confronted Gilgamesh that time he would be understandable scared.

I adore the interactions Cor and Gilgamesh has in his Lost Chapter. He simply a fanboy of The Immortal. Also another confirmation (fourth pic) that the two are different people

And we have Cor having him as FR. Letting him borrow his Genji blade is really a nod on what happened in the DLC

I believe this split second shot of someone's helmet is Gilgamesh on FF7R back in Tokyo Game Show last year, I am excited to see if that's the case

What if Gilgamesh's FR weapon in Dissidia Opera Omnia is Ame no Murakumo and then his FR partner wields Ame no Habakiri-

Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin DLC 3 Thoughts

Contains spoilers for the DLC (Different Future) but mostly they are Gilgamesh related (laughing)

-So Gilgamesh showing up as a summon in trailer isn't random, the game really said canonly he still help Jack and party.

-They got Emperor's OG VA (Christopher Corey Smith), good to hear him again

-The "kupo..." scenes are just so adorbs to take seriously

-Omega... ah chicken tenders

-I like Nil's final form

-Also Gilgamesh serve as a dungeon master? He opens a portal for Jack in Dark crystal hallway as a challenge and promises a treasure he picked up in his travels if he successful finished the floor

-WTF HE HAS NOCTIS'S HEIRLOOM RING

-Finished the DLC and am still very confused, trying to tie plots of SoP, Dissidia series, and FF1 makes my head hurt :')

-Astos thanking us (the player) for being the fifth crystal and Warrior of Life just took me.. I am soft about it

-Unfortunately no more mention of Gilgamesh other than the rift feature. rip hopefully you got home behind the scenes

-The DLC... storywise is too short for me but if Nomura said he will make a sequel if there is interest I'm sold. Or... tbh just make an Origin ver of other FF because I love the series' take on the OG FF

I wonder why they stopped giving Gilgamesh his Rift form and just adding arms when he goes Gilgamesh Morphin' time (Or Gilgameshing apparently in FFXIV) The last time we see him in this form is in Dissidia, I have my theories but I know it's just cost cutting lol

If FFXIV decided to do a Savage ver of a Gilgamesh fight they better give him that because he deserve it

In this post I talk about the Wanderer of the Rift DLC from Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin. Contains spoilers.

-Seeing some clips of Gilgamesh fight I observe he uses almost same animations as his Dissidia 012 self which really proves my point that this Gilgamesh model is scrapped from NT one. Even the lines he say in the battle is the same (JP and EN)

-Manifesting Nomura art of Gilgamesh like he did in the first DLC which is Jack and WoL

-Gilgamesh do know Garland thanks to Dissidia. He thought he got transported once more to a cycle of war.

-Metawise, perhaps Greg thought he's finally in Dissidia NT am I rite

-Finally a lore behind Excalipoor. It has the spirit of Blue Mage...

-Does it means Gilgamesh is the first blue mage??? Thx Tonberry Blacksmith

-I CAN'T BELIEVE THE "ASTOS" WE HAVE IS OBVS A CLONE AND WE'RE GETTING PELTED WITH FEELS OF "I'm Jack you don't remember me?"

-SOP WHY YOU DOING THIS I HATE YOU

-Tonberry Blacksmith seems to be good friends with Gilgamesh and shared that Gilgamesh was so careless of his weapons they got scattered in different dimensions thus inventing legends about them.

-His one-hit attack is literally "Final Fantasy"Not new since his final attack in other games is "Ultimate Illusion"

-Alright they made Warmech/Death Machine terrifying in SoP and I love it. Still remember how it was scary encountering this super boss back in PS. It deserve this incarnation

-YEY Gilgamesh staying with us! Together with Tonberry, some creeture frens, and Astos the Chaos Shrine will not be lonely anymore...

-Ummm does that mean no Greg in ff14? TwT probably but remember we don't really know the timeline of this game and ff14

Alright some conclusions:

-Greg confirmed he cannot find the exit out of a world if it has dimension disturbances. Don't know who are Lufenias, he is simply pulled from nowhere towards World A with Death Machine.

-We can assume this Gilgamesh is the same one in Dissidia, finding FF5 world to go back home/fight Bartz. The way he describe Garland is same as in Dissidia Mobile and he made an interesting comment that the "world of strife" and World A seems to be connected. A confirmation of the fan theory that Dissidia and SoP World A are connected

-Tonberry Blacksmith sharing some bits about Greg's weapons and saying that the carelessness of swordsman leaving swords create many legends about it in worlds he has been. Tonberry seems to be friends/knows him. (Will double check on this for confirmation)

-Excalipoor being "owned by a great swordsman" and having the essence of the obsessive warrior even if it's useless it unlocks something in the user (Blue Mage job). Implying that Greg has something to do with BLU.

-This is obvious but I will still say Gilgamesh say he can possibly time travel (answering that perhaps the Garland he met is older ver of Jack)

-We don't have any clues who's the "collaborators" yet or I am just missing a cutscene when you finished WotR dlc

Smaller than I thought but I am alright with palm-sized Greg 🥺

Maybe in future we get a Playarts or even a mini fig of him?
