i feel like it's important that everyone know that quinton reviews did NOT make a 38 hour video on The Beverly Hillbillies.

quinton reviews's DAD made a 38 hour video on The Beverly Hillbillies seasons 1-3 (out of 9), Petticoat Junction seasons 1 and 2 (out of 7), related episodes of Mr. Ed, and the radio program Granby's Green Acres.

he hasn't even touched the henningverse media that's in color yet.

The Green Acres Court of Dallas, Texas opened in 1950, at a time when Dallas was 90% white, and closed in the late 70s, after co-owner Redmon Revis died.

At one time, it was one of the only motels in the city that welcomed black people and was featured in the Green Book. Prominent guests included Ray Charles and Etta James. The city's Landmark Commission briefly pushed to save it but when that didn't work, it was suggested that the new owners erect some sort of memorial to recognize the motel's significance instead.

It was replaced by a new development. Not saying it doesn't exist but I was unable to locate a memorial on the property.

Born on this day: that effervescent coquette Eva Gabor (11 February 1919 – 4 July 1995), youngest and most talented of the three much-married fabulously ridiculous Hungarian American socialite, elite courtesan and surgically-enhanced glamour puss Gábor sisters. While she’s inevitably described as “famous for being famous”, Gabor was a gifted and sparkling comedic actress of stage, screen and TV (especially in 1960s sitcom Green Acres; seek out the film Paris Model (1953) for further evidence), possessed a distinctive campy voice (she memorably did voice-overs for the Disney films The Aristocats (1970) and The Rescuers (1977)) – and the boss lady behind her own successful wig range! My favourite Eva Gabor memory: circa 1989 when her more volatile older sister Zsa Zsa was famously arrested for slapping a traffic cop’s face, the cable network Nick at Nite promoted their reruns of Green Acres with an ad assuring, “Remember – this is Eva, not Zsa Zsa! 14/12/2024-Woodpigeon out the back at home and views including birches, pines and a nice sky, bright looking gorse in the winter afternoon sun, my first ever Red-green Carpet moth which was fascinating to see and holly berries at Acres Down in the New Forest.

A fair few Redwings seen well strong birds of winter, Mistle Thrush heard, Blackbird, Robin, Chaffinches and Great Tit seen nicely again today, heather seed heads and magical views of Fallow Deers were other highlights at Acres Down with bright Goldfinch in the sun (also seen at Acres Down) and Starlings also nice to see at home.

Eva Gabor was born on February 11, 1919, and was a Hungarian American socialite and actress who appeared in such movies as The Last Time I Saw Paris (1954) and Gigi (1958), but she is best remembered today for her role in the television comedy, Green Acres (1965-1971). She died in 1995 at the age of 76.

Oliver and Lisa RETURN TO GREEN ACRES today in 1990. The TV movie was directed by William Asher and is the final performance of Frank Cady.

While she’s inevitably described as “famous for being famous”, Gábor was a gifted and sparkling comedic actress of stage, screen and TV (especially in 1960s sitcom Green Acres; seek out the film Paris Model (1953) for further evidence), possessed a distinctive campy voice (she memorably did voice-overs for the Disney films The Aristocats (1970) and The Rescuers (1977)) – and the boss lady behind her own successful wig range! Gábor may also have been bisexual: in his 2019 book Finding Zsa Zsa: The Gabors Behind the Legend, author Sam Staggs suggests that Eva enjoyed a long liaison with Marlene Dietrich. Apparently, Francesca Hilton (Zsa Zsa Gábor's daughter and Eva’s niece) alleged to Staggs that her aunt was secretly a lesbian. Considering Éva was married five times and had a long romance with Glenn Ford, her commitment to Sapphism seems unlikely. But who knows? To complicate things, Eva was widely rumoured to be Merv Griffin’s “beard” later in life. Let’s hope it’s true!
