THE COUNTDOWN FOR COWES
The countdown for Cowes Week has commenced. From the 6th – 13th August our Great Chase tour will continue, but this time Chase will be setting sail next week for a fun filled weekend celebrating the historic annual regatta in the Isle of Wight.
Cowes week was first staged in 1826 and now attracts more than 100,000 visitors to Cowes. So put on your life jacket, hope for sunny weather and come down and visit for yourself. Both James and Iona will be down for the weekend by the harbour to provide tasters of our tempting spirits such as our famous Chase Vodka, Chase Elderflower Liqueur and our Williams GB Gin. We will also be handing out Chase goodie bags so make sure you pop by to get your hands on one!
On the 7th of August there will be a Regatta family day with lots of fun activities for everyone to join in. Children can learn a range of outdoor skills including sailing, making a fire and making a shelter. The festival will be packed with a variety of activities both on and off the water for everyone to enjoy. What better way to celebrate the event than with one of our Great Chase cocktails or our refreshing GB&T at the Little Gloster just down the road.

CLASSIC NOSTALGIA
Classic Nostalgia transports you back in time to the 1950’s and 1960’s. With classic cars everywhere you look and vintage-inspired musicians and dancers it’s a weekend of celebration for this memorable era.
The event is held at Shelsley Walsh, Worcester, and is the world’s oldest motor racing venue to still be help on the original track. After 111 years not a single corner has been changed.
The guest of honour, Hans-Joachim Stuck, followed the trail of his late father, the legendary Hans Stuck, who, exactly 80 years ago drove a similar V16 Auto Union Grand Prix car up the iconic hill. After all the action, Stuck took to our horsebox bar and put his feet up with a Great Chase- living the dream!
The rural setting, crowd’s reception and the nostalgia of the occasion made for a truly magical event.

GREAT CHASE TO THE NORTH POLE – THE LAST BIG CHALLENGE
As you may know we have teamed up with seasoned British explorer, Mark Wood as he gears up for a two month long, death-defying, Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ backed Arctic expedition that could be the last of its kind. In February 2016, Mark Wood, Paul Vicary and Mark Langridge will attempt to trek from Russia to the North Pole without a re-supply.
The British three-man team will attempt a 60 day crossing from the Russian Cape Arktichesky; also known as the Arctic Cape – across the Arctic Ocean to the Geographic North Pole. Due to the profound effects of climate change, this high-profile expedition to cross one of the most unforgiving areas of the planet is likely to be one of the last of its kind.
In preparation for this remarkable expedition our very own Guy Ilott visited the team as they prepare the last of their kit. Each explorer will tow a 300 pound survival pod behind them for approximately 600 nautical miles (with ocean drift).
In support, we are giving you the opportunity to be part of this incredible adventure with the release of our Limited Edition ‘Race Against Time’ Vodka (pictured above). Only 200 of these limited edition bottles will be up for grabs and all proceeds will go towards supporting Hire A Hero and partner charities serving the armed forces. Each bottle is signed by the three man team embarking on the expedition, Mark Wood, Paul Vicary and Mark Langridge.
‘We shall go always a little further; it may be beyond that last blue mountain barred with snow’
J.E.Flecker – The Road to Samarkand
‘We are delighted that Chase are supporting our team of three explorers, all of whom have served, or are serving, in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. The expedition is probably one of the world’s last big challenges; to go from land fall, unsupported, to the North Pole across the unpredictable and unstable ice pack. With the effects of climate change, the ice is so fragile that this may never be repeated and is therefore truly one of the ‘last big challenges’. Hire a Hero is a charity that supports those who have served to make their ‘last big challenge’ – the successful transition to a successful civilian career. All proceeds from the sale of the Limited Edition Chase Vodka made especially for the Race Against Time Expedition will go to support Hire A Hero and our partner charities to serve those who have served. Alternatively, please show your support for the NP16 Team by donating to the charity. Many thanks for your support.
