thinking about the "distant isles" Galehaut is lord of. Like, how distant could they possibly be. Gawain gets to Sorelois via bridge at one point. augh oh yeah for sure! all my current grails aren't that hard to find secondhand but they're just too expensive so you could say i'm continuously giving up my grails 💔 i never fully give up tho i am convinced i will find all of them eventually! one day they will appear on an auction with a low starting bid and coincidentally no one else will be paying attention and they will be all mine! mark my words!!!

Yknow i definitely have my issues w how Amakusa typically gets characterized as being shady and untrustworthy given what he went through (and I def had an issue w ooku glossing the massacre over to make one of the orchestrators of it a key figure in the actual event)

but it was nice to have the fact the rebellion was in response to ongoing oppression and that it was met with extreme and unreasonable punishment in return categorically stated and acknowledged as a bad thing with a brutally unfair response that it would be reasonable to be upset by for once in his second interlude

Also the bit at the end teasing him for ‘99.9% sure to win’ was very cute

For Emrys, Chaldea verse: Reunions + Headcanon

A reunion in Chaldea can only mean one thing for Emrys: meeting his brothers and Merlin again (and Ector, Gorlois, Lot, and Igraine if he's lucky). Something that anyone would look forward to, under normal circumstances.

But he dreads it.

Thanks to the Throne and the summoning process Emrys knows what happened immediately following his death and beyond. He knows how everything fell apart so terribly and catastrophically. And he can only blame himself for it. Blame himself for Vortigern's descent into madness, for Uther's tyranny, for Gorlois' murder and Igraine's misery. For all that Merlin had to suffer and Lot's rage and hatred that was controlled only thanks to Morgan's gentle ice.

Emrys isn't someone prone to regrets, but his death...? Oh, he regrets how it happened. How his foolishness caused him to get into a dangerous situation on impulse, not thinking of what may happen.

So he's scared, and actively avoids a proper reunion.

He contents himself with spending time with Merlin, or with his new friend young Romeo. He goes along with Oberon's act, though he aches to speak with Vortigern again. And he avoids Uther like the plague.

Igraine and Gorlois he can never meet again, but he keeps an eye on Morgan for them regardless of if she's from PHH or not.
