The first 3 tracks on here are all perfect, though I don’t know what the fuck happened on the last track, it sounds like a D-grade porn soundtrack playing in a broken Walkman..?! -Kris

Central’s Littlejohn newest 1,000-point scorer, Knights’ leader on and off the court

     Thirteen points away from 1,000 after scoring 16 against Westerly last Thursday, Central point guard Jada Littlejohn reached the career milestone on a layup with 10:46 remaining in the second half of Monday night's Division II girls basketball game against East Providence at the PCTA. Fouled on the play, she sank the free throw to make it 1,001 and went on to finish with 20 points. 

        Although the Knights did not come away with a victory over the Townies, their captain gave them something to celebrate, as Littlejohn became the first Central player to score 1,000 points since Georgette Pineda (2002-05). She also joins Shirley Caldwell, Stephanie Perry (1981-84), Charlotte Buchanan (1985-88), Allegra Schell (1987-90) and Beatrice Robinson (1993-96) in the exclusive club.

    Central is working hard to hold its own in Division II this season, and Littlejohn has been the guiding force for her teammates, many of whom have little, to no varsity experience, Knights coach Vin Scandura said. One of the leading scorers in the state with 19.5 points per game, she also leads her team in steals, rebounds, assists  and blocks.        “She is the leader on and off the court,” said Scandura. “The girls look to her for everything.  She also can be hard on them if they are not working hard or when they make mental errors. It's like having another coach on the floor.”

     Littlejohn received her acceptance letter to Dean College last week and has caught the attention of Bullogs coach Grahm Smith.

      “I think if she keeps working hard she will be able to play at a higher division,” Scandura said.

Fishboy (fishboy) played a special acoustic in-store performance at Recycled Books as a vinyl release party for his latest album about Topsy the Elephant, "An Elephant." Performed throughout Recycled Books, this is only a smattering of stuff from the performance, which featured costumes (originally crafted for the record release), and a different set of instruments than they would normally use.

More from this will be coming, and nothing is really in order right now. After I have a chance to pull out all the good photos, I might delete any posts and repost completely in chronological order. (These actually are in chronological order right now!)
