felix does have a lot of respect for adrien and cares about his cousin, but he can be an absolute menace at times!

adrien and felix know they both have a crush on you and while adrien wants to stay on good terms with felix, felix is far more willing to play dirty to win your heart!

after all, if felix wants something, he'll do anything in his power to get it! and felix wants you!

felix is very open about his feelings for you, trying to charm you with gifts and roses, as well as sweet words that you would've never expected him to be capable of!

adrien on the other hand tries to be your friends first and foremost! he loves you, but he believes that the best foundation for a relationship is friendship!

he hesitates to rush in like felix and often misses out on opportunities to flirt with you because of that. but he believes he still has an advantage over felix, since he's your friend!

adrien has a whole support system of friends backing him up when it comes to you, while felix is on his own in regards to getting help

felix always tries to one-up adrien at everything he does! adrien makes a handmade gift once, only for felix to buy you expensive things the next day, to make you forget all about adrien's tiny gift!

felix is very obviously jealous of adrien and while adrien isn't a jealous person, he makes an exception for felix!

adrien thinks felix is too mean for you and that he'd be the better choice for you!

and felix believes that adrien is too much of a wimp to date you, so you should be with him instead!

Im so excited for the Daisy Jones and The Six miniseries. But at the same time I m so so afraid. Because I love this book and I dont want to see another series about a love triangle. Daisy Jones and The Six lives on Daisy and Billys relationship. I love them both. I just love the ending more… The book is as good as it is because Billy and Daisy do not end up together. They would not be good together… And Camilla is an absolute rock star ngl :)

luka never thought that you'd ever change the way you viewed felix either, nor did he ever expect that eventually felix would be his romantic rival when it came to winning you over!

but felix truly changed as you got to know him. turns out his life hadn't always been easy and he kept up this mean rich kid facade to keep people away from him. but for you, he dropped that act and showed you his true and vulnerable self…

still, luka never got to see that side of felix, so he didn't understand what you saw in that guy! your best friend believed that he could treat you much better than felix ever could!

you've had a crush on luka before you even got to know felix, but always avoided confessing to him, worrying it could ruin your friendship. but now, things had changed, with a second boy that half of your heart belonged to…

luka and felix don't get along very well, but luka manages to keep up a friendly attitude towards felix, while felix struggles to be nice to luka. the guy is his rival, after all!

felix doesn't hide his dislike of luka and not only brings it up towards you, but in front of luka too. if luka wasn't such a calm and nice person, there likely would've been a few arguments by how often felix nags on luka!

both boys are quite different, yet you like both of them. choosing between them is an almost impossible task, especially when you consider that you want both boys to be happy, no matter who you pick

if you were to pick felix, you'd want luka's blessing and to know you can still be his best friend. but if you end up choosing luka, you want felix to not only be your friend through it all, but also learn to get along with luka…

Omg 1000%, let me cite my sources:

Strangers: Homosexual Love in the Nineteeth Century by Graham Robb - this book is a treasure trove of well researched information. A lot of queer history focuses on men and I really appreciate all the stories about women in this one. It’s 20 years old and by (as far as I can tell) a straight author, so there’s some limitations - a total lack of awareness of bisexuality and trans identity - but I really enjoyed it regardless. There’s also like four pages where he discusses Sherlock Holmes as an iconic gay protagonist that changed my brain.

Fanny and Stella by Neil McKenna - a heavily researched story of two trans femmes in Victorian England, the crossdressing trial that scandalized London, their sisterhood and surrounding community, and the love triangle they were involved in. It’s written in a VERY fun and gossipy way, with a ton of primary sources, and is such a compelling story! This author also wrote a book about Wilde I haven’t read yet.

Gay History and Literature by Ricor Norton - it’s a website, not a book (I can’t find his books except at really high prices!) but it’s an obsessively compiled list of…basically…what it says on the tin. There’s a collection of gay love letters and newspaper clippings that are fascinating to read!

The Portrait of Mr. W. H. by Oscar Wilde, heard of him? This is my favorite Wilde story! It’s about the theory that Shakespeare’s sonnets were written to a young man, and how the desire for proof drives a man to death, and the frustrations and joys of looking for yourself in long-dead writing.

Before Queer Theory: Victorian Aestheticism and the Self by Dustin Friedman - reading this book felt like making my brain lift weights, but it was really interesting - it’s about the Aesthetic movement and how modern queer identity began in the nineteeth century.

Maurice by E. M. Forster (not technically Victorian but close) is a story written in 1913 about gay love (published in 1971 and dedicated to “a happier time” 🥲). It gave me some ideas about how a confession could play out. Plato’s Symposium is used as a pickup line, of course.
