Chapter 17 title: In The Name of Love

Chapter 17 word count: 9,229 -> Total story word count: 103,389

Chapter 17 summary:

Killua shut his eyes and breathed in deep. He hadn’t expected to ever do this. He didn’t want to ever do this. But with his family already owning most of Nanika, what other choice did he have? Keeping her wouldn’t save them. But handing her over just might.

The real question was...would Alluka ever forgive him?

Killua swallowed thickly, throat burning. He wished he was a better brother to her and Nanika both. He’d made mistakes at every turn, but he had done it all in the name of love. And that was enough, wasn’t it? That was what Gon had told him. Keeping Alluka safe, and now Gon too, came first. They were all he had left.

Everything else—including Nanika—came second.

And......here it is! The climax of the fic, the final chapter before the epilogue! This was really hard for me to write, actually ^^;;; I had to write a cheat sheet for myself to figure out how the characters' interactions would play out and what their motives were. I hope it all came across clearly.

On a separate note, I can’t believe this fic broke 100k words. Damn!

Anyway, only one chapter left and it’s the epilogue! See you on December 26th~

Woooooo!!!!! Excited for the penultimate chapter of Graffiti. But sad also it will end soon. I would have started reading a year ago by the time the last chapter is out.

OMG really???? I can’t believe you’ve been reading it for so long, that’s amazing! :O 

It really makes me so happy that you’ve stuck around long enough to read the final chapters.......I’m also pretty sad it’s coming to an end :( I’ve been writing this fic for so long and I’ve loved sharing it with you and everyone else who’s read the story, it’ll be weird not to update it anymore.

That being said, I’m glad I’m not the only one who will miss it! Thank you so much anon your message really cheered me up

I haven’t given a writing update in a while so uhhhhh here you go:

- Still writing Graffiti! I  believe it’s going to end with 18 total chapters, I have all the chapters written so far except for half of chp17 and all of chp18. I plan on posting each chapter on the first Sunday of the month, and the final chapter on Dec26, which is the two year anniversary of when I first published said fic!

- I’ve been writing a monstrous SheRa catradora college au fic the past month. It’s like 21 chapters in total and currently stands at 42k words. I know. Trust me. My love for she ra hit hard w the latest season coming out lol. Idk how I’m going to update this yet, it could be daily it could be weekly, who knows?

............that’s all I got. But thank you to whoever still reads my writing! Hopefully you also like she ra bc that’s my current fixation right now haha

Damn, you got me all excited with that little snippet of Graffiti! What was Gon thinking god dammit! XD. Kinda sad thinking about it coming to an end. :( Though 'Graffiti' and 'Words that Water Flowers' are about my favourite fan fictions ever, so I'll always look forward to what you will think of next. And thanks for spending your time giving us such great stories to read and enjoy. :)

AW thank you!!! I can’t tell you how much it means to me to hear that, WTWF and Graffiti are the fics I’m proudest of but I’m never sure how many people actually like Graffiti ^^;;; I’m so happy and honored to hear you enjoy my writing that much, really

(I think I’ll start posting a chapter of Graffiti the first Sunday of every month? So chp13 in August, 14 in September, 15 in October, 16 in November, and then chp17 + epilogue in December. That way the fic is wrapped up neatly on the two year anniversary of when I first posted it and it’ll be on a more regular schedule!)

“Why’d you stop?” Gon pouted, lower lip jutting out. He looked like a child whose candy was taken away, and Killua nearly laughed at the thought.

Instead he reached out, pushing Gon’s green-dyed spikes out of his face and rubbing his thumb against Gon’s flushed cheek. Gon sighed again, leaning into Killua’s touch. A bubbling warmth spread through Killua’s chest at the sight.

Killua said quietly, “I just thought maybe you needed a second. You sounded out of breath—”

Killua gasped as the world spun and he was suddenly flipped onto his back. His pulse sped up when Gon straddled his hips. The Hunter looked entirely too pleased with himself as he grinned down at Killua.

“Don’t be silly, Ki-llu-a. I was the one who wanted you all this time, you know.” He reached out to trace the shape of Killua’s lips with a finger, eyes dark and wanting. “You were the one who resisted.”

“You were annoying,” Killua retorted, heart starting to race with excitement despite his earlier claim for sleep, and Gon huffed.

“Oh yeah?”

“Yeah.”
