Christ himself is bigger than any one image or narrative or perspective, he requires four gospels—more accurately, the whole arc of scripture—to reveal his character. He encompasses every virtue; his every act teaches us the life of love. No one person can imitate him in his fullness. We need the strangeness of one another to witness the bigger picture.

Holy fear is not ... an unending, deep-rooted anxiety that I'm never enough and can never do enough good to really be loved by God. Nor is it a moralistic fear of God ... that can easily shrink into fear of hell and the upholding of norms. No, holy fear is a wholesome fear that aids us to avoid becoming people of flint.

SALAAT-UL-HAAJAT:
The Prayer of Need Du’a and How to Perform Salaat-ul-Haajat
Salaatul Haajat, also written as Salaatul Haajah, is the prayer of need. It is usually recited to Allah to help those with some pressing needs. This prayer helps in improving the spiritual well-being, mental health and physical health of a person.
Reciting this prayer on time ensures that one is guided by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala
What is the meaning of Salatul Hajat?
The literal meaning of the word Haajat is to wish. Salaatul Haajat has 2 rakats prayers that are offered to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
What is the purpose of Salaatul Haajat?
The purpose of Salaatul Haajat is that emphasize your prayer and ensure that it goes to heaven, known as jannah in Islam, the best creation of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala.
What is the best time to pray Salatul Hajat?
This Salaat can be performed any time of the day, however the best prescribed time for this dua is during the final third part of the night. It is generally considered as a du’a to be said after the Witr namaz.
Salaatul Haajat Du’a
The du’a that is said in Salaatul Haajat is a salat for need. Regarding Salaatul Haajat du’a, Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa narrates:
The Messenger of Allah said, “Whoever has a need with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, or with any human being, then let them perform ritual ablutions and then pray two rakats. After that, let them praise Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and send blessings (Durood) on the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)The dua in Arabic with pronunciation guide:
Laaa ilaaha illallaa-hul-Haleemul Kareem. Subhaanallahi Rabbil `Arshil `Azeem. Wal-Hamdu-lillaahi Rabbil-`Alameen. As’aluka mujeebati rahmatik, wa `azaaa‘ima maghfiratik, wal ghaneemata min kulli birr, wassalaamata min kulli ithm. Laa tada` lee dhanban illaa ghafartah, walaa hamman illaa farraj-tah, walaa daynan illa qadaytah, walaa haajatam-minha-waijid-dunyaa wal-aaakhirah, heya laka ridan illaa qadaytahaa yaaa ar-hamar-Raahemeen. Ameen, Thumma Ameen Ya Rabbil’Alameen.
Translation of Salaatul Haajat Du’a
There is no god but Allah the Clement and Wise. There is no god but Allah the High and Mighty. Glory be to Allah, Lord of Tremendous Throne. All praise is to Allah, Lord of the worlds. I ask you (O. Allah) everything that leads to your mercy, and your tremendous forgiveness, enrichment in all good, and freedom from all sin. Do not leave a sin of mine (O. Allah), except that you forgive it, nor any concern except that you create for it an opening, nor any need in which there is your good pleasure except that you fulfill it, O. Most Merciful
The meaning of this du’a in the words of Abu Dawood is, “Whenever a matter became serious, the Prophet (SallAllahu ’alaihi wa Sallam) turned to salah.” It means that one can plead to God at any time asking for help, for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala is the most merciful and beneficent. Among all voluntary appeals to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, there is also one important prayer, which is called Salaatul Haajat. It is observed for the purpose of completion of one’s particular Haajah (need). It is but one of the ways to pray to the Almighty for one’s rightful wish.
“He who makes wudhu, and does it properly, then prays two rak’ats, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala will grant him whatever he may pray for, sooner or later” (Ahmad)
How to perform Salaatul-Haajat?
For performing these prayers or namaz, there is a particular format that has to be followed. Here’s a quick guide on how to pray Salaatul-Haajat.
The person performing Salaat-ul-Haajat has to start making a Wudhu. Wudhu is a cleansing ritual that is performed as an important part of purity and cleanliness in Islam.
After this two rakats are performed with an intention of Nafl Salaat.
After the salaat is completed, the reciting of prayer to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala and Durood Shareef starts. It is considered good to recite as much amount of Tasbeeh and Durood Shareef in Islam.
Once this all is done in the end, making a keen Du’a e Haajat is compulsory. This helps in the fulfillment of one’s requirement or obscurity.
Salaatul-Haajat Benefits
Salaat-ul-Haajat rewards or benefits cannot be explicitly mentioned as they come from the purpose of the prayer. It is a prayer of the need and the rewards with benefits as per one’s need and wishes. It is a powerful salaat and must be performed with a pure heart and complete surrender to the Almighty. When said with honest intentions, this prayer is sure to fulfill all wishes and fetch miraculous rewards from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, the most merciful.
It is a prayer basically recited for wishes or the fulfillment of any specific purpose.

Fear in the Treasury: Fox Theatre Hamilton (live, 2024)
This is, obviously, not a horror film breakdown. But I want some place to memorialize this…so 🗣️
I was graced by the live presence of the recent touring cast of the Hamilton production…..here is my professional analysis. Or just some nonsense ramblings about my slight ten year hyper-fixation. Either one.
This is the second (2) time I have seen this show (live), and this experience was so much more enjoyable than the first. Not to say my first viewing of Hamilton was anything to sneeze at, but I hadn’t been all that impressed by the performances of Eliza and Washington. This time around, Eliza had been better for me- especially in the second act when we got around to Burn. I held out hope that the overly youthful cheery glow from the first act would dissipate. Not because it wasnt a thrill to see Eliza happy, but i hoped it wasn’t the only way she’d be represented while depicting the transition of time. And baby girl did her thing! The actress was great at presenting a young girl falling in love only to evolve into a woman with a family and issues that truly impact generations to come. She ate that: 7/10
Amazing Angelica!!!! From the very beginning, this actress came up and showed out with her vocals. A big part of this performance-the show as a whole- is that not a single person wasted time trying to recreate whats been done before. Every moment felt like a story was being told, not just sung. And even if there is something that cannot be outdone by the original Broadway cast- these babies (grown folk) did exactly what they had to do. Ate that up: 11/10
Would have loved to fuck Burr’s voice?? Like seriously, the man could sing and improvise like hell. Would have liked to see more emotion given in the room where it happens, but on a whole, he wasn’t anything short of stellar. Ate that up: 8/10 (yeah yeah the rating is literally less than stellar)
Lafayette is actually funny- funny as hell. As in, i know a performer and former church choir kid when i see one. I wasn’t the biggest fan of his voice at first, but as Lafayette in Guns and Ships? Now that singular song should get album of the year. In the second act, he really got to play around with his role as Jefferson, and i loved every second of it. Something about the hehe/haha energy he had with it ….does glorious things to me. Ate that up: 9/10
George Washington was played by the same actor as last time…which i held out hope that after 3 years since the last time I saw him, I would have some good notes on him. And he did do a lot better! Right up until one last time, where he started off well, lost me with his version of emotional singing, and brought it back in the end. Ate that up: 7.3/10
King George was questionable for a minute there, but he was funny as hell and really played the part in a way that i hope King George III would fucking hate💕 He was very animated, and upheld the title of one of the best spots in the show, even if i wasn’t the biggest fan of his singing every time he was on stage. Ate that up: 9/10
It’s utterly hilarious to me that i have no notes on the main man of the show himself…but i assume I gotta add him and say a little somethin’ about him. The actor was fantastic! Bald man in a wig will always win. His voice and tone was very on spot for the manic, mad scientist energy that Hamilton starts to exude. Definitely made hamilton a bit more relatable…a bit. Ate that up: 9.5/10
Mariah/ Peggy was pretty good, although i was quite confused as to why there was an understudy performing unannounced. Would have loved to see the full main cast. But making out with HamMan during say no to this? Wild. Ate that up: 8/10
Philip!!! 🥰 really dont have a lot of notes on this role. the actor was featured in the program with a full expose about how he came into this part for Philip/laurens. Was a pretty good performance! I loved him more as philip, especially when he ran off stage as a 9 year old definitely would. But his death as laurens was also quite moving…all in all, he did that! Ate that up: 8.7/10
Last remarks on this show…cant wait to see this again. The spoken word was such a different approach for me! Given that this show is a full musical- which many were not a fan of when it first dropped- i still appreciated how the actors delivered the lines to tell a story through more than just song every once in a while. Costumes were still fantastic, i fucking loved the lighting direction (this may just be due to the fact that i had balcony seating this time and could see more of the show), and the ensemble really came through- as always. Final, overall ate that up: 9.3/10

FALL FOR DANCE
In part, the annual Fall4Dance Festival, October 1-13, functions as a labor-intensive PSA for coming events in New York’s concert dance for fans. For non-fans, it’s a rich sampler of this baffling art form called “concert dance,” and the wide variety of artistic styles and viewpoints on display is likely to recruit some new fans to dance. My schedule permitted seeing two of the five programs this year, but both offered Terpsichorean richness.
On opening night, pre-show festivities featured lobby dances by two hot new dance makers, Netta Yerushalmy – in the side lobby at orchestra level – and Ephrat Asherie – in the mezzanine lobby. Two showings each of Yerushalmy’s adagio, sustained movement and Asherie’s lively, energetic dancing both held watchers attentive and prepared them for what was coming inside the theater.
Hubbaard Street Dance in Crystal Pite’s A PICTURE OF YOU FALLING. (l-r): Elliot Hammans and Jacqueline Burnett
Chicago’s Hubbard Street Dance performed Crystal Pite’s 2010 duet “A Picture of You Falling” with the same cast from its Joyce Theater shows in the spring. Elliot Hammans and Jacqueline Burnett capture Pite’s silken dynamics and emotional connection that make the duet so pungent.
Members of Vuyani Dance Theatre in RISE.
Vuyani Dance Theatre comes from South Africa with “Rise,” an update on traditional African dance: group mind, physical intimacy, driving pulses. And with a one-legged DJ/dancer proving his ability as a soloist as well as merging with the group and making seamless modifications of the unison movement when his unique physics demanded.

Misty Copeland gave us the world premiere of 2013 MacArthur Fellow Kyle Abraham’s “Ash,” which eschews virtuosity in favor of a delicately textured vision of the ballerina that’s as gritty as it is graceful, though less of a kinetic stretch than we might have expected. It will reprise in Abraham’s Joyce Theater season later this month.
Misty Copeland in Kyle Abraham’s ASH.
Caleb Teicher & Company with another world premiere, “Bzzzz,” also a F4D commission, is a fast-paced exposition of expert tap dancing for Teicher and seven ace tappers, who exploit the form’s percussive musicality as well as its presentational pizazz. Dancers repeatedly cross the stage, switching from loud tapping on amplified plywood panels to quiet tip-toeing across the Marley surface between barrages of speedy unison groupings.

The highlight is the live beat-box accompaniment of Chris Celiz, making spectacular music with his voice into a hand-held microphone.

Members of CNDC D’Angers in Merce Cunningham’s BEACH BIRDS.
Program Four opens with CNDC D’Angiers, dancing Merce Cunningham’s 1991 “Beach Birds” with a technical security and authority I have not seen in them before. The company, directed by Merce Cunningham’s assistant during his last years, Robert Swinston, the company is resident in France. The movement motifs of Cunningham’s 1991 “Beach Birds” are based on the behavior of birds in nature – long, one-legged balances, darting head turns, little hops that occur with no apparent preparation and land soundlessly, and gentle grooming touches. The piece unfolds like a serene Japanese tapestry, still and unhurried. Four musicians in the pit, including Swinston along with Gavin Bryars, Arnaud Hie, and Ryan Wolfe, play John Cage’s tinkling and sparse keyboard and percussion piece “Four3.”
Alicia Graf Mack in Geoffrey Holder’s COME SUNDAY.
Amazingly lithe, long-limbed Alicia Graf Mack – the newly appointed director of Dance at The Juilliard School – proves that she is still very much in her dancing body with a soulful, expressive, and deeply moving rendition of Geoffrey Holder’s 1968 “Come Sunday,” made for Holder’s wife Carmen deLavallade and set by her on Graf. Four spirituals, sung by Odetta – “Glory, glory,” “Deep River,” He’s Got the Whole World in his Hands,” and “Joshua Fit the Battle of Jericho” – intensify the emotional resonance of the dance.
MADBOOTS in FOR US by Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz. (l-r): Austin Tyson, David Maurice
After intermission, MADBOOTS – an all-make, gay-centric company founded and directed by Jonathan Campbell and Austin Diaz – presented “For Us,” which premiered at the Fire Island Dance Festival in 2016. The directors usually perform their work in their highly personal, and energetically physical style. But here, they entrusted the work to two colleagues, David Maurice and Austin Tyson, who superbly captured the balance of balls-to-the-wall physicality and tender intimacy that distinguishes MADBOOTS. The final image is devastating, as the two in a social dance embrace, unwrap the boxers’ tape that binds their hands, while Shirley Bassey sings “Somewhere” (“there’s a place for us,”) from “West Side Story.” The men kiss, as the curtain slowly falls.
Tayeh Dance in Sonya Tayeh’s UNVEILING. (l-r): Moses sumner, Gabe Stone Shayer, Stella Abrera, Robbie Fairchild.
Sonya Tayeh’s “Unveiling” closes the program with an emotional bang. It’s a trio with Robbie Fairchild, Stella Abrera, and Gabe Stone Shayer dancing to the live music of Moses Sumney, who stands on a square platform with a triple mic stand and electronic gadgets that loop, echo, and magnify his resonant soprano singing into a full musical ensemble.
Tayeh gained notoriety as a choreographer on the TV dance phenomenon “So You Think You Can Dance,” but she has also made her mark on concert dance in collaborations with the Bengsons musical group, and now is the choreographer of “Moulin Rouge” on Broadway. Her movement sensibility and invention are original, and her skill at finding new variations of familiar lifts and bodily interlacing is striking.
Tayeh Dance in UNVEILING. (top to bottom): Stella Abrera, Gabe Stone Shayer, Robbie Fairchild.
Here, with three stellar dancers the piece is entirely captivating. Fairchild begins hidden behind the imposing Sumney, all in black, emerging piecemeal – a hand, an arm, a head. He does a solo that combines voguing-like gestures, the dynamics of locking, and reptilian slithering, both vertical and horizontal. In push-up position, he pushes and pulls his suspended body across the floor.
Tayeh Dance in UNVEILING. (l-r): Moses Sumney, Stella Abrera, Gabe Stone Shayer, Robbie Fairchild
Abrera joins Fairchild and they interact in a creature-like duet, braiding her body around his in provocative ways. Shayer slides inconspicuously in from upstage before you’re aware of his presence and joins the pair as a non-competitive interloper, sharing the prized female. At one point, Sumney leaves his perch and croons in his eerie soprano while lying supine on the floor. His sounds fill the aural space with eerie music that amplifies the alien quality of the dance.
Tayeh’s mysterious world draws you in and holds you. It doesn’t evoke intellectual understanding, just visceral response, and the dancers indulge with relish in the eccentricity. “Unveiling” leaves you pleasantly baffled by the images, contemplating how stripping away our outward personas reveals the untamed animal underneath.

Mountain Doomers Wizzerd Cast Heavy Spell in New Single “King of Esbat”
~Doomed & Stoned Debuts~
Album Art by Burning Moon
They are one of without doubt one of the most exciting live acts among young doom metal and stoner rock bands today. Absolute professionals and top notch musicians in every respect, the five mystics that make up WIZZERD came to my attention three years ago and have been impressing me a little more every year since. DIY to the core, this Kalispell, Montana quintet is making the impossible dream come alive, from building their own recording studio to linking with international acts like Norway's Kal-El to break into the congested heavy music circuit of the West Coast. These guys really impressed me with their brash, youthful energy, well-placed riffs, and self-effacing humor.
Wizzerd is:
Jhalen Salazar aka Dragon - Guitars/Vocals/Violin
Layne Matkovich aka Warrior - Bass/Cello
Jamie Yeats aka Wizard - Guitars/Mandolin
Sam Moore aka Phoenix - Drums/Percussion
Wayne Randall aka Wraith - Synth/Audiomancy
Photography by Cierra Long/The Lurking Class
I stumbled upon them on Bandcamp when they self-released Doomchild in 2016 and gave them some love. "Let's file this one under nomadic doom," I wrote of their debut LP, "with songs reflecting the loneliness and isolation of the wanderer's life, relentless drive that will remind you of Egypt and Sleep and vocals that hearken to The Sword." The first time I saw them perform, star guitarist Jamie Yeats (who I'm confident we'll all be hailing among the greats one day) wasn't quite old enough to enter the bars they played in and had to hover around the parking lot until Wizzerd took the stage, missing some of great bands they opened for as a result.
That's all history now, as the band aims to conquer new peaks with their forthcoming sophomore spin, 'Wizzerd' (2019). Today, Doomed & Stoned presents you with the first single, which I've enjoyed hearing them perform and now am delighted they've recorded for our playlists. From hopeful upstarts to savvy navigators of the doom-stoner scene, Wizzerd's career is a joy to watch unfold. I asked the band how they see their evolution and how this is reflected in the new record:
We’ve all been playing together for many years now, and Wizzerd as a project recently turned four years old. We’ve had all the songs for the new record for quite some time now, but it has taken us a lot of time and work to build it up to what we thought it should be sonically. We recorded and mixed it all in our basement, then decided that wasn’t good enough so we re-recorded nine of the songs at Wayne’s recently opened Black Magick Studios here in Kalispell. We had done a lot of touring in between the first and second attempts at recording, which really helped us tighten up for the recording that ended up on the record. Tony Reed mastered it and gave it the polish that makes it sound how it does now.
Film by Billy Goate
The album is a concept album, a continuation of our first album, that tells a story of the rise of evil, and the five beings who fight back to restore balance. We’re stoked to be working with Burning Moon again for the album cover, and a local artist Collin Hamman for the illustration for the single. The song is about a benevolent king who has been usurped from the throne of a grand and ancient kingdom by an ever present being of chaos. It is the story of his fall from grace, and his journey to ascension. We’ll be playing this one and lots more from the record on our upcoming west coast tour, and many other tours this year!
Without further ado, Doomed & Stoned presents "King of Esbat," a tantalizing Sabbathian dirge that charges forward with one unrelenting purpose: the conquest of your headspace. There's some more lore connected with it, which I've included below. Look for the new record to drop on March 29th. You can pre-order the CD at this location.
Give ear...
King of Esbat by Wizzerd
Some Buzz
A mysterious figure has usurped the throne of the Great King... the lands are in turmoil and people are dying. A plague has spread across the lands, from ocean to ocean... but there is still hope!
Four Heroes, accompanied by an immortal spirit, are on a journey to kill the usurper, end the plague, and save the land. They come from the four corners of Great Gaia's green world:
The Dragon, a fearsome rogue, a legend of his time, he slayed the Grand elder Dragon of the Great Desert bringing a permanent end to the age of fire.
The Warrior, his family was killed in the first siege of the Doomed. Mortally wounded, he dragged himself into the magickal ancient Forest where he was blessed by the Dryad of the Elder Wood to become the protector of the natural world.
The Wizard, an elderly Wiseman, a reclusive intellectual known by no name, who wields the power to bend reality. He has witnessed mountains crumble, and Oceans dry. He has seen the Apprentice become the Adversary
The Phoenix, an undying madman, his origin and purpose shrouded in mystery. He has dwelled where the mountain tops meet the moon, and flown to where the sea meets the Sky.
The Wraith, an aeons-old inter-dimensional immortal spirit, whose purpose is to bring about and maintain balance between all realities. He resides within the Æther, observing all of times most crucial events.
The Wizzerd, the evil ruler who has usurped the throne from its rightful king. He is the mastermind behind the devastating plague known as "The Doom." His lust for power, driven by Kæos, has lead him to use his powerful crystal talisman to rob the people of the world of their souls, giving him magickal power beyond comprehension.
Will our heroes bring balance to their world, or will they perish at the hand of the Wizzerd? Tune in to find out...

I have a bad habit in conversation, shared by many, borne out of my shyness as a child. As I 'listen,' I use my silence to plan and consider what I will say next. Predictably, I often have no clue what my conversation partner just said.

____________________________________________
The voting against Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is a struggle (جہاد) between a Sadiq-ul-Amin, (صادق الامین), declared by the Supermen Court of Pakistan and a BUNCH OF THIEVES and BLOODY LIARS, who are known all over the world to be NOTORIOUS for their well recorded corruption, looting and robbery of wealth of the poor people and the Government of Pakistan, and then depositing it in overseas banks, buying apartments, building and palaces, in overseas countries to live there.
And say, "Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.”NOBLE QUR’AN, Chapter (Surah) al-Isra, 17, Verse (Ayah) 81.
و تعاونوا علی البر والتقوی ، ولا تعاونوا علی الاثم والعدوان ، واتقوا اللہ ، ان اللہ شدید العقاب ، سورہ المائدہ ، آیہ 2
And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. Chapter (Surah) al-Ma’idah, 5, Verse (Ayah) 2.
May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala bless you in this world, Ameen, and reward you in the Hereafter, Thumma Ameen, and I promise to remain, always, as ever, forever,
