*Cracks knuckles* Pokemon time by beloved!! this time assigning me, @pup-pee, and @cannimochi pokemon teams with specific types for funsies!! those are down under the cut!!

starting with Jay cause there's more requirements there a.k.a pink bugs there's actually a few!! There's the trash cloak version of Wormadam, Parasect has pink on him, Vivillon has a whole bunch of forms but there's a pink one that's for sure, and that's the majority of the pink bugs because others steer more into red territory!! But I'll give you some other pink pokemon as well like Luvdisc, Blissey, and Audino!! Pink pokemon are usually reserved for the fairy typing but there's a few pink non-fairy types out there!!

Now for Ru we want Ice/Dark which I can so easily do!! cause you have two with that specific combo already!! Weavile and Chien-Pao are both Ice/Dark!! now of course I'm gonna give you umbreon cause that's your favorite eeveevolution and maybe I'll give you a houndoom so that way you have someone that can come in with fire!! Now other ice types to give you... I gotta give you frosmoth I met you when you went vrrrr about indrid cold a.k.a Mothman like come on, and finally I have to give you Alolan Ninetales because of Kazzy okay okay <3

Now for me because I made a joke that I'm weak to psychic typing I gotta go fighting/poison!! Now I get three solid fighting/poison types in Toxicroak, Okidogi, and Sneasler. Now for the last three I picked Bewear, Roserade, and Lucario purely based off of vibes and that's it really.

Pokemon XY Game Rewrite Part 2 (what if story) (WIP)

Hey guys. It's me. If you enjoyed the rewrite I made of Pokemon XY part 1 (what if story), please leave a like and comment on what you thought of it.

Disclaimer: I'm not doing this to flaunt my ideas and say that they are better than the canon game. It's just a what if story that I'm doing for fun.

Pokemon xy story part 2:

You go into the gym to battle Viola. She sees you welcomes you. She tells you that she uses bug types. As she's about to tell you to enter the gym, one of the trainers in the gym runs to Viola saying that her sister, Alexa, is in trouble and is being attacked by suspicious people wearing white clothing.

When you and Viola step out of the gym, you see Shauna, Trevor and, Tierno. They greet you and Shauna asks if it isn't a bad time for the 3 of them to battle her. Viola says she can't battle right now because her sister is in trouble.

Suddenly, an ice beam from out of nowhere nearly hits Shauna but Viola tells her to get down, barely dodging the attack. 3 men in white clothes appears with Bergmites.

Imagine the team Glacier grunts (men and women) wearing these clothes but in white and blue. Sorry if it's not that good... i tried looking for something nice.

"Sorry but I'm afraid we can't let you do that.", one of them says. Trevor sees the emblem on their chests and asks who they are.

Glacier grunt: We're team Glacier. Those who oppose us will be silenced.

Shauna, Tierno and Trevor say that they'll take care of this guy and that you 2 should go (I'm just introducing this 2nd evil team to give them a strong presence in the story.

Viola is worried and scared in reaching the Studio. She also looks guilty as well.

Viola: Dammit! They must have found out that she's been writing stories about their operations so that's why they're here: To take her out. We gotta move.

Their plan is to slow you down so that their grunts can kill her because she has intel on where their next operation is at).

The grunts went to Viola's photography studio because they heard that Alexa was in there. You try to call Rival but they don't pick up which worries you.

As you and Viola enter the building, 2 female Glacier grunts appear blocking your path. They say that those who oppose them will be silenced.

You and Viola battle them. The 2 female Glacier grunts bring out Bergmite to fight you both. You and Viola defeat them. Viola's Vivillon immobilises the female grunts using Stringshot. You and Viola go onward.

You and Viola take the stairs, going further up the photography studio fighting off Glacier grunts. You and her notice that some of the grunts are dead. You also see some more grunts laying on the floor as well (dead) and 2 vigilantes standing on them.

Imagine the team flare vigilantes look like this but they have the team flare logos on their chests, plus the cool looking shades (like imagine the men and women wearing these high tech superhero costumes but in red and black).

You see one of them kill a Glacier Grunt before you and Viola could stop them. Viola says why the vigilante would do such a thing. The guy says that the grunt gave up his humanity a long time ago and that he was only here to finish the job.

He's about to kill one more defenceless grunt when you and Viola fight him and his comrade. You and Viola win. Viola's Vivillon subdues the 2 vigilantes with stringshot. You and Viola go further up.

As you arrive to the highest floor, you see Alexa fighting the Glacier grunts but loses. You see a new characters confronting her: Gaven and Blare.

Another new character, Lysandre in a supersuit, is at the scene fighting Gaven and Blare saying that everything will be ok and that he'll take care of them himself.

Gaven laughs and says: "You're outnumbered Ultraflare". Blare tells one grunt to assist her in fighting the intruders to stall for time because the Helicopter is on the way to help them escape.

You and Viola fight Blare and the grunt. You and Viola win. Ultraflare defeats Gaven and sends him flying. He's about to kill Gaven but you and Viola stop him. Ultraflare tells you both to not get in his way.

Viola says killing Gaven makes him no better than a villain too. A new character appears, crashing through the window wearing a high tech suit similar to the suit you see Emma wear in the Pokemon XY postgame stuff (except it's red and black with the Team flare logo on their chest).

Ultraflare says: "Took you long enough, Wildflare." Wildflare says: "Sorry, sir. Had to take care of unwanted visitors".

Ultraflare says he'll take care of the gym leader while Wildflare takes care of you. You fight Wildflare and Viola fights Ultraflare. Wildflare fights with a Litleo, Kalosian Litwick (dark and fire type), and a Kalosian Skorupi (poison and dragon type). You win. Wildflare says: "Dammit! I can't believe I lost."

Viola loses and says she can't believe that Ultraflare is this powerful. You step in to fight and Ultraflare says: "I don't wanna fight you kid. Save yourself the trouble and stand down." You don't budge and he says: "Fine. So be it." Ultraflare fights you with a Mega Pyroar. He sweeps your team and you lose.

Ultraflare is about to finish Gaven off when Diantha appears with her Mega Diancie to battle Ultraflare. Ultraflare says "The champion's here? That's... annoying".

He does hold his own against her but eventually gets overwhelmed by the her at some point in the battle. Ultraflare loses. The helicopter appears. The helicopter throws out Voltorbs to use explosion. That gives Gaven and company enough time to run get to the Helicopter and they leave the scene.

The smoke clears up revealing Diantha, you and Viola + Alexa are shielded by Diancie which used Protect. Viola goes to her sister asking if she's ok. Alexa says that she's fine thanks to her and the player (you).

Viola thanks you for helping her and gives you the experience share as a gift that she found in the forest while she was taking pictures of the pokemon in the forest with Alexa.

She sees that somethings bothering you and asks what's wrong. You say that what's bothering you is Ultraflare pokemon evolving and sweeping yout whole team when his pokemon evolved.

She explains that what you saw was mega evolution and how it can be activated by the trust between trainer and pokemon (just adding the explanation of mega evolution early here instead of having it be explained later in the game).

Viola says that Ultraflare used mega evolution earlier with his Pyroar is an example of mega evolution and she says that it can make pokemon powerful in battle but it's only temporary. Viola says that Pokémon can only mega evolve in battle.

You see that Ultraflare and Wildflare are nowhere to be found and guess that he fled because Diantha beat him (I made Diantha and Ultraflare appear here early just to introduce them early in the story and give them a strong presence in the story too).

The Police arrive at the scene only to find that the Team Glacier are gone. Viola and Alexa tell the police what went down. You go check on your friends to see if they're fine.

Trevor says that they're fine but they got defeated by the grunts. Tierno says that luckily the man in the cool suit saved them. Shauna asks if you're okay and you tell her what went down.

After your done explaining, she comments on how crazy your situation was and is glad that you're safe. She also states that she can't believe that the Kalos Champion and Ultraflare fought each other.

You ask if Rival is ok because you tried to call them on the holo caster but they didn't pick up. Rival says their Holo Caster was frozen by a pokemon who attacked them.

Rival says the trainer was a woman in white clothes who knocked them out with sleep powder. They say they don't remember much. All they remember is waking up to a vigilante in red clothes taking care of them and then disappearing as soon as they got up. Shauna says she's glad that Rival is ok and they didn't get hurt.

So! The main story of y is over, so now's a good time to showcase some of the pokemon that Jude caught but didn't make it to the league, but are still alive. I imagine that Jude ended up training them afterwards.

Kinniekins: Future Delphox ( or just a Braxien not 100% sure). Modest nature and mischievous. Gift from Shauna <3

Livewire: Dedenne. Lonely and alert to sounds. I never used her once in the game but I think it would be funny if Jude kept her as a battling pokemon.

Willow: Vivillon. Docile and loves to eat. I feel bad that I never mentioned him, but he was actually the first pokemon Jude has ever caught. He was put in the box suuuuper early though. I can only imagine the grief he went through when finding out his friends died, but I think he doesn't hold and grudges. Really good at sleep powder ( compound eyes) + quiver dance + whatever special move he has spamming lol.

Sweetheart: okay so the Eevee in game does not have the nature for a service pokemon I think, but I'm just mentioning it here: lonely and likes to fight. Whether I keep this or change it, Jude eventually gets a Sylveon that is a service pokemon. Is not used for battling.

Maurine: Amoongus. Impish and sturdy body. Planned back up if Henry died, which thankfully did not happen. Still, once Jude learns about ability capsules and gets one, regenerator Maurine is a self healing tank that Jude would live on their team.

Tess: Future Garchomp. Hasty and strong willed. Big sis Tess!!! I feel like she would want to evolve after seeing King evolve too. I dunno if she's a constant battler, but she does love play fighting with King, so she gotta stay sharp

Yveltal: No nickname lol. Modest and Somewhat vain. The irony. At the end of the day, despite being the embodiment of death, he's still a pokemon. A powerful one that lends a small fraction of it's power to a human, but still a pokemon. Jude only battles with him against those she knows that can handle it ( so Dante, Shauna, Diantha). He's fine with simply chilling though.

Margo: Gothitelle. Hasty ( there's so much pokemon with hasty god damn) and highly curious. A pokemon that reminds Jude a lot of Jellybean, while still of course being her own self. Adds much needed coverage for Jude's pokemon lol. Still no fairy type move. Unfortunate.

Guardian: Golett and honestly stays one. I think after Ramos they retire from battling, but they do help around in any way they can! I can see them helping people professor sycamore around the lab.

Jude still needs a fairy type and the only one that's actually good is Sylveon and it's a service pokemon. I already stretched nuzlocke rules by allowing myself to catch the eevee when I already had Guardian, since I just love Eevee. The other good fairy type I had died. Livewire can probably do something but like. It's dedenne. Maybe one day it will prove me wrong, but I don't think it'll do much. And the greatest insult to injury is that I can't count the Ralts given to us by Diantha as an encounter because of Blaze. So rip me I guess.

But yeah, more of Jude's pokemon!

Top Bug Pokes By Gen

So I thought I would next discuss my favorite pokes in each type. The problem is, it’s tricky narrowing down to just ONE in your favorite type. ;____;

As such, I’m going to cheat for this first type (bug) and pick a favorite out of EACH generation of games.

Gen 1 - Parasect

It has to be Parasect. This is not a popular choice, and I know it. Parasect’s typing (Bug/Grass) makes it a very difficult poke to use. I’m not going to deny that. I’m also not going to try and deny its rather lackluster set of stats.

Paras and Parasect are really special to me, though. I still remember when I was a kid, playing Pokemon for the first time, and running into a Paras in Mount Moon. That awesome little sprite and its etheral cry (incidentally, a cry deemed cool enough to also be used on Mew) filled me with such a sense of fascination and wonder, as did its relative rarity. I’d been wandering around the cave for ages and didn’t expect to run into anything new, and especially nothing so alien and cool-looking. I immediately added it to my team and brought him all the way to the Elite Four, where he joined the Hall of Fame. Lackluster stats didn’t hold him back from being a useful and valuble member of the team.

I named him Sopea. I’m not sure why. I just made up a word, and it sounded like it suited him.

Paras and Parasect remain possibly my favorite bug type to this day. It is a bug with a parasitic fungus that gradually consumes it, and that is fascinating as heck. A zombiebug, basically. That’s why its eyes are white. There are real species that are preyed upon by parasitic fungi, which ‘control’ their insect hosts, and it’s a truly fascinating thing I strongly suggest looking up sometime. :)

Anyway, my second-favorite of gen 1 is probably Venomoth or Scyther. I love them both a lot. I don’t care for Scizor’s design too much, despite its popularity in the meta game.

Gen 2 - Heracross

I mentioned before how I’m not super-attached to Gen 2. I never played it as a kid (after gen 1 I didn’t play pokemon for many years), so there’s no nostalgia factor for me. I honestly often forget which pokemon originated in gen 2, in fact. Regardless, Heracross is definitely the coolest bug type from that era. Other than Sun/Moon’s funky Ultra Beasts, his typing is entirely unique. A Fighting bug type is truly awesome, and his design is really beautiful. Simple but elegant, with an adorable little smirk, and a really cool species in real life.

Gen 3 - Shedinja

Yes, I think most can agree, Shedinja is a novelty poke. Yes, he’s not actually useful in battle except in extremely circumstantial situations. I know. I don’t flippin’ care. He’s adorable, and the idea behind him is amazing. Spooky ghost pokemon that’s the discarded shell of a cicada? Something that literally will swallow your SOUL if you look into the empty hole in its back? Sign me the fuck up, ayyy. Again, a totally unique typing, and I can’t help but adore him. Cicadas in general are awesome, and if I can’t pick Shedinja as my favorite from this gen, I would choose its bouncier, livelier partner, Ninjask.

Gen 4 - Kricketune

I know you givin’ me an ugly look for this choice. And I’m not gonna bother trying to convince you he’s useful in battle.

But he’s got swag. Dele-dele-whoop, bitch.

(Look, gen 4 was pretty bad for new bug types, so gimme a break)

Gen 5 - Galvantula

Gen 5 had some fantastic bug types, but the prize probably has to go to this crazy electric tick-and-then-spider. Joltik is adorable AS FCK and its evo is awesome AS FCK. I had one on my team during my run of White, and I loved the thing to absolute bits. Once again, before SuMo its typing was totally unique, and I was beside myself with excitement for getting a badass electric tarantula. This speedy spider will run laps around the unfortunately clunky Vikavolt, and I’m happy to see him sometimes used competitively as well (though usually just as a sticky web lead, but compound eyes + thunder is still a tasty combo that’ll pack a punch).

My second-best for gen 5 is reeeeeally hard to say. That gen was definitely the best in terms of getting awesome new bug types (FFS, we even got a Mythical Bug type, and Volcarona), and probably the best for bug lovers of ALL the gens.

Gen 6 - Vivil– oh uhh this is awkward

Yeah, that’s the only new bug type that gen. Needless to say, not the best gen for bug catchers, BUT not the worst either maybe?? Because we DID get a bug type with a TON of forms to collect, and I have to admit, I had a good time collecting them. I still don’t have those special event forms though. ;___; Oh Pokeball Vivillon, someday you will be mine. Also, Scatterbug/Spewpa are the cutest caterpillar/chrysalis forms. (Sewaddle comes close, admittedly)

Gen 7 - HELP I CAN’T CHOOSE

I mean come on, we have an insanely badass isopod thing (with an adorable AF first evo) or a super-adorable fairy-bug thing (with an adorable AF first evo). I gotta tell you, it was pure agony during my run of Moon, because I wanted both on my team so badly. I didn’t put both, because I wanted a more diverse team than that, but it really, really hurt leaving little Wimpod behind. They are both so fantastic.

Plusle make a few friends as I try. Seaking how to be strong as I Raichu a song. Though I still don’t know where to put Mr. Mime. But who cares if I couldn’t find a good place to put Togedemaru, Pyukumuku, Mawile, Sceptile, Weavile, Sandile, Helioptile, Leafeon, Gengar, Malamar, Marshtomp, Chatot, Simipour, Ferrothorn, Toxicroak, Minccino, Cinccino, Azumarill, Tranquill, Excadrill, Marill, Beedrill. And Togetic, Basculin, Gigalith, Crabominable, Kingdra, Ambipom, Gastrodon, Bastiodon, Hippowdon, Vivillon, Bisharp, Liepard, Dunsparce, Aipom, Slakoth, Ralts, Dustox. I still found a way to put ‘em in there! No matter the Scizor the scope of the task. I don’t need a Magikarp-et ride. I’Machamp-ion, hero, there’s nothing to Fearow. My true power comes from inside. And that brings us all of the way to the top. I’ve said every name I can say. I’ll let my body confess the names that I can’t express. Yes it’s time for the DREAM BALLET! COME ON! But there’s one Pokemon, my own holy grail. That I gave Kevin Punt, I hope that bastard’s in jail. 'Cause of all Tangelas, Terry is the apex. And I gave him up for my 'dex. When you love Terry terribly, and then Terry is gone. What’s the point of having every other Pokemon? There’s a wound in my heart that I can’t get rid of. How can I find joy without my tangly boy? Why catch them all if you can’t keep the ones that you love? Terry! Oh Terry…

Eric Rueben Levin, twenty-five years old and Champion of the Galar region four years running- and on and off again for five years before that- turned with a grin as the door to the house clicked shut.

“So, how did it go?” Kevin practically danced passed him, Tock ever faithfully on his heels, and pulled a chain from his pocket. Eric only just got the chance to notice the host of pokeballs- ranging from battered and worn to shining and new- before he was gone down the hall, heading straight for the bathroom to take out the colored contacts that had, alongside the proper choice in clothes, allowed him to take his brother’s place at that day’s meeting with the visiting Champions from various regions. Eric grinned after him. “You madman, you really got them all to do to it.”

 “Of course,” his twin called back, “they agree with me that Galar’s restricted pokemon access is bullshit.”

“Sorry, Klink, only so much I can do.” Not that he hadn’t tried. Oh not to change the whole mess, he understood why the laws were the way they were and agreed with some aspects of them, but he still didn’t understand why nobody could bring foreign pokemon in at all. Bringing in males should’ve been okay at least, since Ditto were so rare and unlikely to access the damn things. But, as he’d repeatedly told his brother, there was only so much he could do.

So. Subterfuge.

Kevin had, for what several people would love to hear was the first time in years even though it very much wasn’t, pretended to be his twin so he could get into this meeting with the champions he had been conversing (plotting) with for months now. Eric went pale as his brother continued to list off pokemon. Most of them were in shiny new pokeballs, but some that sounded awfully familiar were in old, worn balls and he wanted to scream.

“Kevin,” Eric said slowly, “did these people loan you members of their main teams?” They were doomed. Somebody was going to want to see a match and find out that damn near all the visiting champions were missing mainstays of their teams. Fuck, if he was right that Beautifly was one of the two pokemon Jame owned. They were down half their team!

“It’s fine, Er-bear,” Kevin said, nudging him in the ribs. “I just need the week to get all the pictures of this lot I could need, and then you can slip them back to their owners and it’ll be like they were never apart.” Fuck, and he knew some of those were females, this could go so wrong-

“If I lose my position over this, I will have your head.”

“You will not lose your position over this. In fact,” Kevin grinned, “we agreed they’d stay an extra day so you lot could do series of exhibition matches. They won’t have to bring their teams out because they’ll be so tired from training to kick your butt, and then they’ll have their teams again well in time for the matches so nobody will suspect they were ever apart in the first place.” Heart still pounding, Eric managed to relax minutely and smile at his brother.

“You all really did think of everything, didn’t you?”

“Of course we did,” Kevin said, waving off the concern. “Besides, when has anything Victory’s been involved with failed? I mean, the clue is in her name.” Despite himself, Eric chuckled. It was true, Champion Victory was the longest standing Champion ever and had never, to anyone’s knowledge, failed at anything in her life. She’d even beaten ex-Champion Leon, though he certainly hadn’t been ‘Unbeatable’ by the time they’d gotten the chance to battle.

He’d really been hoping to get a match in against her.

And now he had one of her star fighters in his home to study.

With an overly dramatic sigh he collapsed along the couch, kicking up his feet onto his brother’s shoulder. They were quickly shoved away with a comment about dirty socks. He paid no mind.

“This bug collection had better with worth all this stress you’re putting me through,” he said and Kevin grinned down at him in a confident look he couldn’t help but mirror.

“I’ll be sure to make a Nincada piece for Pierce.”
