y’all pray for me tomorrow
#was going to try to buy a couple small kitchen appliances#but wanted one of my siblings to go along with me because while i /can/ do multi hour drives on my own#i don’t necessarily like it#well found out the family’s going to (redacted) this weekend anyway to visit grandma#great i think! i’ll just swing by and grab one of them early to take along#(since mom said they were going to church tonight)#but dad has once again screwed me by having something to do at mass tomorrow#so i gotta go by myself to pick up the blender#i’m waiting to hear if the person with the food processor will be available for me to pick it up tomorrow#at least grandma’s okay with me coming by the retirement home early#but zach will not be happy i’m going by myself#if i tell him#which i’m gonna try to avoid doing lmao.

I made a big pot of soup that's been simmering all day. And very soon I'll be eating a bowl of it and watching space movies with the family
#[static]#I made chicken soup since I had a whole chicken in the freezer#next week I'm going to make a stew to use up the last couple of pounds of chuck I have in there as well#homemade chicken soup is the easiest thing in the world to make#you just need a whole chicken and some water and some vegetables (and herbs)#it takes all day to make but that's just because you gotta leave the chicken in the pot for a few hours for itself to make the broth#otherwise all you're doing is just throwing it all in a pot and waiting there's really nothing more to it

#well thats okay. eventually itll come up naturally. and if not well. it doesnt make me feel very okay. but its not a big deal#and i guess ill meet ppl in the future who will curate a different idea of me and maybe therell be fewer misunderstandings#<- coward who CAN communicate to save their life but not in any lower stakes situation for their happiness n quality of life#we <3 repression n insecurity. maybe if i keep digging at the corner of this bit of the labyrinth with my spoon ill get out someday 😌#anyway.. theres my daily vague vent post got it out of my system#wanted to do it earlier but ended up not having much time after work n then called friends which was nice :^)#also i never have signal at work these days.. my boss has said shell get me on the staff wifi tho cuz i do need it for work reasons#its rare to need it for work purposes bc we all use work pcs n stuff anyway and not rly supposed to use mobiles in the lab#but yeahh.. god i have so much admin shit to sort out also gotta text family back before i sleep i forgot to earlier#its all good.. also my memory foam pillows turned up so i no longer have to steal my roomies extra one for my neck pain <3#ik she was missing it... not to sound like a creep but it was nice that it smelled like her a little. just familiar innit#we're always around each other so its just what being home smells like to me.. listen i have a sensitive nose 😔✋️#if we were a lot closer i would ask if i could sleep in her bed while shes away but we're not so it would come across sooo weird..#and i would feel rly weird abt someone sleeping in my own room without me there. well maybe not actually. as long as they werent snooping#<- guy whose mother used to go thru their shit all the time n struggles to not feel paranoid and distrustful when it comes to privacy#was thinking recently my ideal living situation w a partner would be separate rooms but we still share the bed sometimes#but not every night bc im a sensitive sleeper... but we can switch bedding so i can still smell them if i wake up in the night alone#like how new mothers trying to get babies used to cot sleeping each have a cloth or blanket and swap every night#so the baby is comforted by the blankets smell and sleeps more peacefully.. and momma finds it easier being apart from the baby too#sorry this is getting gooey and weird my meds have been wearing off the last couple hours im so sleeppyyyy 😭#well.... maybe everything can wait until tomorrow..... bed is calling..#goodnight everyone muah#.diaries

i made lasagna
#achievement of the day#unfortunately i also repotted a plant without ensuring i had enough soil first. so now i got a half potted plant#and we need to go to the store to get soil. so now the lasagna is sitting in the fridge waiting to be put in the oven#pro: after being stressed in the store i will get to repot my plant and then relax with lasagna#con: cooking makes me hungry and now i gotta wait a couple more hours for my lasagna .#.

I had a migraine when I went to bed last night, and I still had it in my dreams and woke up with it worse this morning(like "inches away from throwing up all morning/can't breathe too deeply or suffering" worse)
it's 1:30 pm now and I'm still kinda pissed about it

MAN I don’t think I’ve ever had art block this bad. It’s at the point where even sitting at my computer thinking about opening a canvas to draw just puts my brain in “Shima.exe has stopped responding” mode. I know I haven’t been doing art recently anyway but now I’ll just make an official announcement and say I’m going on an art hiatus for a while. At least until I can kick this lol

managed to bargain a cigarette out of my sibling (who can’t even use it bcz they don’t have a lighter or a place to smoke) and all it cost me was 2 packs of noodles and a half hour trip to the shops to buy more all is well

I love running so much. Like it’s not complicated you don’t need to be good at it you don’t need to go out and buy xyz beforehand. You don’t even need fancy running shoes really if you’re just running on your own. All it is is just “can I run? Do I want to run?” And if the answers are yes then you can just go out and run! You don’t have to be the fastest person in the world. There’s no standard. You don’t have to run a sub 25 5k or anything you just go out and put one foot in front of the other and enjoy it. Running is literally the best more people should do it
#S.K rants about running again#Probably just a personal thing but like it’s also really refreshing and helps me mentally#Like I don’t care about times in the way it defines how good I am. If I can cut a couple seconds off my average 5K time then I’ll be happy!#Like I dropped from like a 30 minute 5K to just over a 29 minute 5K and I was so happy with myself#And even when I’m not running competitively like get me some good tunes and give me like a half hour I’ll be good for the rest of the day#The conditions don’t have to be good either like I’ve ran in the rain it’s the best thing ever#Anyway yeah. If you want to do something productive go on a short little run!!! It’s fun I swear#No matter how slow or fast or whatever you may be. Don’t care abt anyone else#And a word of advice to any fellow XC runners: don’t beat yourself up over times. Especially if you’re on a team and competing#It’s one thing to know you’ve gotta improve a little and it’s another to be down in the dumps over a bad race#Trust me I’ve been there it sucks. But there are better races to come!!! Just you wait#S.K thinks#Sorry I ranted I just really like running

Realizing that this part of my fic would be so much more visceral from the other characters point of view so now I'm going to have to write it 😩😩
Don't get me wrong! I do want to write it! It's just thinking about doing that makes me weary cause doing any sort of writing lately has felt like pulling teeth. I want to be doing it, there is nothing else I want to do more than write and write and write, but the brain. it's broke and does not do the thinky bits well lately
#kee speaks#there are not enough hours in the day to do both the wants and the needs#so brain goes 'ah well then we shall do neither'#so no wants and no needs get done and i just sit here hating myself#i did get a few hundred words more into this fic and I'm past the part that the whole fic was the purpose of#but now i gotta get it all nicely wrapped up#and then hum and haw over the other perspective#it's a mish mash of random lines that I know will go into the other perspective chapter#but i have to read over the OTHER side of the fic to make sure it's all happening in the same timeline and i'm not contradicting anything#like 'wait was he already unconscious at that point or can i insert some thoughts here- oh no he's definitely KO'd so that's just blank for#him. no thoughts head empty out like a light for at least a couple seconds'
