Gothic Obsessions is a post-art series rooted in my personal obsessions with the gothic universe and in my absurd, mortal existential condition shaping my absurd desires and my absurd needs. This collection embraces darkness, philosophical depth, melancholia, creativity, imperfection, alienation, existential angst and a fascination with the unknown as vital forces of an authentic reimagined subversive gothic world. Influenced by surrealism, dark fantasy, post-humanism and poststructuralism, the collection celebrates the unsettling ambiguities and non-human mysteries within ourselves—things that the unbearable superficiality of mainstream culture tends to avoid. It explores the seductive power of dark worlds, not as escapism, but as a transformative force—an allure that spellbinds through the eerie pull of the unknown beyond words. This is a tribute to complexity and a rejection of simplistic standards, where the strange and dark confronts the absurd and celebrates deviant pleasures.

I have such bad imposter syndrome about being alt. I CONSTANTLY feel like a poser bc all of my interests are the exact things posers keep constantly talking about if that makes sense???

like for example I like monster energy drink right?? here in my area we have posers who constantly pose with monster drinks when taking pics or walking around the school with empty monster cans to look cool and I feel so bad bc like I LIKE THAT SHIT OKAY I LIKE HOW IT TASTES AND HOW COOL THE DESIGNS ON THE CANS LOOK

or with taxidermy and bone collecting for example, it's become a trend where they're all like "guys I am such a taxidermist I collect bones live laugh love taxidermy and bones I am so cool"

I just don't get why such random interests have to get tied with subcultures but whatever man idk what's going on in people's heads like I kid u not they made taxidermy/bone collecting a deathcore/black metal thing and I'm like??? why???

my friends are probably so sick of me constantly needing to be reassured that I'm a real fan/member of the subculture but sometimes I feel like the biggest fattest poser on the planet

and it doesn't help that my mom constantly tells me I'm a poser too and that I'm just doing this to seem cool and unique and special 💔

and idk why I'm ranting here about something as weird as this but here we are lololol
