what have you crafted from my workshop?

A SWORD.

it’s a beautiful thing, truly. the edge shines, razor-sharp, and the hilt gleams with polish. it looks like something that only you could have created. it looks like a part of you, made metal and melted into a blade. every detail and decoration along the hilt makes it really and truly yours. when you use it, it works just as any sword should, right up until the final hit; and then it fails. the final stroke through the dragon’s neck. the final strike against the chains. the final slice through an enemy. right as you need it, truly, it slips. or it catches against something. or it breaks. it fails you, in the end, and through the disaster, you’re not sure if you’re glad to see the dreadful thing finally shatter or heartbroken that it couldn’t stay.

A MIRROR.

the reflective surface shines like a placid lake, beautifully still. the mirror itself is a rare case of creative success, every detail exactly as you imagined it, just as gorgeous as you wanted and still more. when you look into it, it shows you many beautiful things: visions of beautiful futures, beautiful presents, lovely pasts; fleeting images of your most treasured dreams; versions of you that are wonderful, are beautiful, are strong; versions of you that have what you want; versions of you as you think that you should be. it’s something different every time that you look at it, but one thing remains constant. you can change a thousand things around you, fulfill a thousand dreams, but the mirror—this mirror that shows you things as they should be—will never show you yourself.

A CHALICE.

the cup is made to be passed between hands, shaped to be drunk from, well-suited for rituals of all kinds. sharing. sacrifice. when you hand it away, it is never empty; the chalice enters the hand of another and without fail it is brimming full. you feel lightheaded. you hand it to someone else, intending to share, giving them something to drink; you feel suddenly, horribly dizzy. you hand it off again. it’s only when you see the liquid spill from the corner of someone’s mouth that you recognize the blood inside the cup. it’s only when you give it to someone else, yet again, when the faintness rushes over you like a wave, that you realize where the blood is coming from. the people around you are still thirsty. you hand the chalice away again.

{ ♪ } -- Immediately, she brightened at the little girl's presence. Hands moved before she could speak to accept the corn she'd been given. It was a bit small, indicative of being grown in a home garden. But that wouldn't stop Bella from giving the brightest smile she could muster.

"Oh, wow! Thank you, Nanako! I love it! I'll use it tonight when I make dinner, promise."

One hand moved to tuck the ear of corn away in her bag and the other reached out to gently pat at her head. What a sweet girl.

"Do you grow a lot of veggies in your garden? It takes a lot of work to grow anything!"

when you get pouty during a prank

heeseung would crumble in an instant— in fact, crumble would be an understatement; he’d melt at the sight of your little pout, gaze softening. “ah.. sorry, sorry, baby.. i was just playing around”, he’d coo, shifting closer to you to engulf you in a tight hug, hand gently caressing the back of your head— “not funny, babe”, you’d softly mumble; and he’d lightly poke your cheek, a soft smile spreading across his features as his eyes sets on the endearing look of your face; “how can i make it up to you, love?” he’d ask— and rest assured, if you want cuddles, he’ll give you the best of the best of them…

jay would succumb to your adorable expression in an instant— it wouldn’t take much convincing for him to drop the act, heart melting at the sight of your small pout; “ah.. you just know how to make me all soft”, he’d huff, lightly poking the swell of your cheek, and watching as a victorious grin spreads across your face…

jake would try his best to keep up with the ridiculous act, eyes constantly flickering from your pretty face, to some distant object, knowing for a fact that if he were to meet your gaze, he’d give up on the prank in an instant— “okay, okay..! you win, baby”, he’d groan, watching as the proudest little grin makes an appearance on your face; and even though his attempt at playing a little prank on you was practically futile, he can’t help but to grin at the sight of your beaming smile, your eyes curling into little crescents…

sunghoon wouldn’t even be able to keep the prank on for five minutes— one glance at your little endearing pout, and he’s completely defeated; “that’s no fair! you can’t do that..” he’d softly mumble, arms crossing across his chest— oh gosh, you just know his weaknesses all too well; you’d wind up peppering him with pecks and kisses, wanting to cheer up your sulky boyfriend…

sunoo would be so endearing; first of all, his prank would be the sheer definition of adorable on its own— the way he’d attempt to act out a nonchalant persona with the corners of his lips occasionally raising in the wake of a smile, would have you grinning without your knowledge; and second of all, the moment he’d catch sight of your little pout, he’d, physically, melt, his faux, cold expression dropping in a mere millisecond— “awh.. don’t be sad, baby— i promise! no more pranks..” he’d mutter, arms naturally engulfing you in a hug…

jungwon would be a little surprised; his acting would be so believable, it’d strike any other person as genuine— and his pretty girlfriend isn’t exactly an exception either; when you’d pout ever so slightly, bottom lip jutting out sulkily, it’d be obvious just how surprised he’d be, eyes lightly widening at the thought of hurting you over this prank of his; “oh baby.. i’m sorry.. it’s just a prank, promise!”, he’d hurriedly say, pressing a quick peck to your forehead shortly after— would drop the act in a millisecond, showering you with tons of affection…

riki would, surprisingly, drop the prank— or any prank for the matter— in a heartbeat, not being able to continue the facade, especially with your adorable pout, and doe eyes gazing at him; a hand would instantly raise up to cover the growing blush across his face, his heart thumping from the mere eye contact. “ah.. never mind.. it was a prank, babe”, he’d say, the tone of his voice being softer than anything— your pout is practically your little cheat code; finds you so surreally endearing…
