Guss let out a very frustrated and robotic growl from the voice box of his gas mask, As he retracted the now gore soaked blade of his bayonet from the throat of the succubus assassin. He had been working for the Vees for an entire year now, As both a bodyguard and mercenary. And he had been damn good at his job for the most part. Always heavily armed and at the ready. Always dealing with every thuggish assailant, Overly cringey fan and cold-blooded hitman that had been sent at them while under his watch. It had even gotten to the point where Guss was recognized by name among most of the other staff in V tower. But today... Guss had made his first mistake and been careless in his duty. The entire day had moved along so smoothly without a single sign or barest hint of trouble. This had caused the ex marine to relax while he was working as an escort for miss Velvette. He had only turned his attention away from her for a few seconds, But it was enough for the nearby assassin to make her move and fire an angelic bullet in Velvette's direction. Guss dispatched the attacker with impressive speed. The succubus didn't get a chance to fire another shot before she found herself laying on her back in the dirty street, with a blade rammed deep in to her jugular cord.... Still..... Guss was fully aware that he had fucked up. And what this error would mean for him. But he couldn't worry about that now. He had to make sure Velvette was alright. After quickly scanning the area with his assault rifle at the ready. Guss rushed up to the overlord once he was certain that there were no more attackers skulking around. "Boss... Where are you hit? Let me see." Guss kneeled down closer to her. Softly holding his hand out in a calming manner to investigate her injury. It was hard to see the expression of his eyes behind those red tinted goggles on his mask. But there was a hint of actual concern in his voice. Like he was worried.
