#Yesterday I bough my first b/sd volumes ever ajhvsdkajhsvdkajhdsv it's such a small thing but it's been making me all giddy #It's (predictably) volumes 9 and 20. That is to say the ss/kk covers volumes ajhsyzbadkjhbsad #I never thought it would have made much a difference to own them but now that I see them on my nightstand I'm so 🥰🥰🥰#I had to go to two different comic shops to find volume 20. B/sd is comparatively really that unpopular here pfftttt.#The print is a little on the dark end and the pages are very yellow in my opinion. But the image quality is so good and I'm 🥰🥰🥰#Volume 20 also has a slight blemish on it but eh. That was the only copy they had since I'm on time limit I couldn't risk it.#After all I only bought them so that I could have something to get signed!!! Man I hope everything goes well at the con 🥺🥺#I'm so nervous and it's not the good kind of nervous lol. I haven't even bought the tickets yet...#I swore to myself I would only buy them after I was done with this assignment and I'm still not done ಥ_ಥ #Ouhg I'll keep working on it today wish me luck...#The Dead Apple screening has been announced just now to take place on Thursday. “For the first time in the country”.#Who's gonna tell them that's a movie that came out seven years ago ajdhvcaskdjv.#I was hoping they'd finally dub it (we still never had a b/sd dub here. Finally saw Wicked today. I fear it is, in fact, actually all that and a bag of chips. Like it is genuinely that good

#ramblings of a lunatic #storywise i actually found that they were stretching act 1 a bit thin and it showed in the pacing #but in terms of execution of the musical numbers and aesthetic quality of the sets/costumes/etc???#ohhh bitch. I'm sorry im so fucking seduced by john chu's vision of oz #i am also on team 'this bitch should be more technicolour' but I'm also not a lighting/cinematography guy #like i like Pictures and Images but I'm shit at lighting + composing film shots so yknow. stones and glass houses and everything #anywayyy i love the wizard of oz im a little obsessed w the wziard of oz and all related properties maybe. maybe #god idk if I'd actually enjoy it but i would be really curious to read the book version of wicked. i know it's incredibly different #not just in terms of focus and content but also in terms of being very dense and reportedly a lot drier #but also i do want to see his vision very badly. like when he made oz a surveillance state?? that's smart! it's plainly in the og series!#it's just treated as normal there #but anyway yeah back to the musical i am NOT ashamed to admit i got full body chills during defying gravity #there were parts that were so. sincere and self serious and melodramatic that i couldn't help but love #like YES enough!! with the self referential ironic humour crammed into everything!!!#linger on a moment for far too long and make me sit uncomfortably in the saccharine melodrama!!! it's good for me!!!#the people want big budget fantasy musicals gang...they want razzle and dazzle and heartfelt song!!#and i agree with the ppl. i AM the ppl #wicked movie. good. i enjoy #might just be riding the high of watching it but like idc I'm allowed

I can't do much productively during the heat wave/health issue flare up/etc. like work on my games or anything where I have to sit at the computer/type for long periods of time, BUT.. I did passively sculpt a few tiny foods lol. I wanted to do one of my bigger usual sculptures, but those take so much more time and concentration, I thought something small just to keep my hands busy would be better.. close up photos look kind of weird and blurry from my camera settings or something, but overall they came out okay, especially in person.. Nearly the only reason I ever wanted to buy dolls as a kid was to get my hands on the miniature foods and plates and stuff that came with them, I've always just been obsessed with small versions of things like that, so.. why not make some! lol

#sculpture #ooops.. i could have posted this on the art blog but I forgor and do not feel like reuploading everything #into a new drafted post on a whole other blog.. not in this heat.. i have no patience lol #items are: tomato. asparagus. a four leaf clover (not food lol). some sort of folded bun or dumpling with meat inside (not based on #anything specific. I just wanted to fold a flat sheet of clay into a shape). pomegranate. cheese wheel. lemon slice. some sort of mushroom.#fish (not a real one. just made up. if it looks like any specific fish that'd be interesting). and fig.#I haven't been able to get many avocaodo pits to carve again. so sculpting. then is good for a tiny craft #WISH I COULD DO COSTUMES OR SOMETHING.. i have some pikced out. bundles of clothes laying on the floor of the closet #but GODS even before the heat wave it's just been so warm.. I know.. it's the summer. of course it's warm #but WHYYYyy............. what if it just snowed all year around and was awesome and beautiful and i was so cold and could wear 25 blankets #at all times.. what about THAT hmm?? .. the ideal..#anyway.. my favorite is the pomegranate and the mushroom maybe #The fig is hard because in the pictures of figs I googled a lot of them have that sort of white powdery type of thing on the outside #that grapes and plums and stuff have sometimes and it's hard to convey that weird like.. sheen.. plus the purple with almost powdery blue #and little lighter specks plus streaks of light green and a little orangey on some of them.#It's okay in person I think but this doesnt show up as much in pictures. The cheese also looks betterin person than images. you can't tell #the slight shine in the pictures lol. but the pomegranates look cool and also photograph decent.. hmm #I should have made toast with an egg on it or something. that would be a nice addition #OH ALSO ASPARAGUS MY BELOVED.. though they look a little wonky. the cuticle pusher tool that I sculpt with in leiu of any actual sculpting #tools has a kind of triangle edge that was suite for the little leaf details of the asparagus so that was cool. its like..ALMOST right lol
