iwaizumi h. - overused
iwaizumi hajime x reader
description: iwa was tired of being used, but that changes when he meets you.
warnings: slight insecurities
He was used to it, sadly.
Iwaizumi no longer was surprised by the ambushes of Oikawa’s fangirls, always seeming nice at first only to get him to do their bidding. It would start off with them approaching him, seemingly interested. However, they had always mastered the art of switching the topic to Oikawa, then requesting Iwaizumi to give him whatever gift they had or their phone number, all which was passed down to Oikawa, who never took it seriously.
“It’s just a simple infatuation. Rightfully so,” his friend beamed, popping one of the chocolates into his mouth. Or, “They just really love supporting me.”
But to Iwaizumi, it felt like he was invisible.
Of course, he didn’t blame his best friend. It was never Oikawa’s fault that he was loved by many. But rather, he hated the fact that he was always blocked away by the setter’s light. It seemed as if everyone only used him to get close to Oikawa, never to talk to him.
“Iwa-chan!” Oikawa shouted, rushing to his friend with two boxes in his hand. “I got cupcakes! Do you want some? A star player such as myself can’t possibly eat all of this-”
“I’m fine,” Iwaizumi cut him off, but not rudely. “I have to stop by the convenience store, want to come-”
“H-Hey! Oikawa!” A small, chirpy voice interrupted the two.
In front of them stood a petite girl, noticeably nervous. She held a pink envelope in her shaking hands, and they could tell that it was laced with a strong perfume. Iwaizumi rolled his eyes as he saw how she struggled to make eye contact with Oikawa, yet stood directly in front of him. A blush crept on her face as seconds went by, before she spoke again. “Um… hello.”
A grin appeared on Oikawa’s face, and he nodded. “Yes?”
His encouraging tone made her eyes brighten, and she took a deep breath as she smiled and lifted her head to look at him. “Uh, I-”
Iwaizumi beat her to it. “I’ll leave you two alone. See you later.” He patted Oikawa’s back, not bothering to listen to him talk. It most likely would have been something like, “Just wait, you idiot,” but he didn’t think he could stand to listen to yet another confession.
His walk alone was short, but gave him a sense of peace and quiet. It’s not that he didn’t enjoy Oikawa’s company, although he often found comfort in times where he was not around, where he wasn’t compared to him.
The bell dinged, and he made his way to get himself a drink. It was the only thing he was looking forward to the whole day, even if it seems pathetic. Iwaizumi felt that the past twenty four hours dragged on, making him tired during practice.
He reached out to grab the drink in the front, however, another hand had beaten him to it. Shocked, he looked up, seeing you, dressed in his school uniform. You were just as shocked as he was, as you blinked quickly and opened your mouth.
“Uh…”
Iwaizumi quickly pulled his hand off of yours, stepping back awkwardly. “Sorry. Go ahead.”
But you shook your head, gesturing to the drink. “No, no! You reached for it first. Take it.”
He thought your smile was really nice. “Thank you.”
After he grabbed one, you grabbed the one behind it. The two of you had both awkwardly walked to the register, standing silently as you waited to pay. Iwaizumi attempted to pay for his first, but you quickly intervened, putting your own drink next to his. “I can pay for them!”
He was taken back by your gesture, not moving fast enough to decline your offer. Before he could say anything, you were already giving the cash to the worker. Although he hadn’t expected it, he appreciated your kindness.
Both of you slowly walked out of the store alongside each other. It was quiet and a little uncomfortable, until he started a conversation. “So, you go to Aoba Johsai?”
“Yes, I’m a third year student, too.” You nodded, making him confused.
“Too? How did you know?”
“Aren’t you in the same year as Oikawa-”
There it was.
Instantly, the smile was wiped off of his face, and Iwaizumi’s mood did a complete 180. It was stupid of him to let his guard down for even a few minutes. Even when he wasn’t there, Oikawa’s presence was too strong.
You noticed his frown, and furrowed your eyebrows in worry. “Are you okay?”
He didn’t bother to make eye contact with you. Instead, he nodded. “I just remembered I have somewhere to be.” As he spoke, Iwaizumi reached into his pocket to grab some money before putting it in your hands. “Thanks for the drink, but here.”
Confused, you stared at the money in your hands. The atmosphere had changed completely, and you wondered if you said something wrong. “I-”
“Have a nice night.” He told you before walking off, leaving you in the street alone.
~
You were told to carry some files to the library, although you didn’t expect it to be so much. As you struggled walking, you hoped that nothing would make you fall and drop everything in your arms.
However, when you hope for something, the opposite usually happens.
Your body stumbled to the ground as you ran into someone. A small curse was heard from you as the files went flying around you on the ground. It would take a while to pick them up, then you dreaded the scolding for ruining the organization of it all.
“My bad!”
“Oikawa!”
“I said my bad!”
Looking up, you saw the school’s famous volleyball player, yet your gaze settled on the same body you ran into a little over a week ago. He remembered you too, as his eyes locked with yours.
A smile worked its way onto your face before you remembered how your last encounter ended, and then you looked away, hands reaching out to gather the papers around you.
“Damn, that looks like a lot.” Oikawa had said. “You okay, Y/N?”
“I’m okay.” You said truthfully. “Wouldn’t be the first time you made a mess for me to clean up.”
He laughed, then kneeled down to help you. “I swear they were all accidents.”
“How about now?”
“Do you want me to not help you?”
At his remark, you slapped him with the pile you had in your hands, already becoming annoyed with his threats. “Just hurry and help!”
Iwaizumi watched the interaction with confusion. You didn’t act like one of his fans. In fact, it seemed as if you two had known each other for a while now. Your behavior made his brain hurt as it wondered, didn’t you like Oikawa?
“Hey, are you gonna help or just stand there?”
Speak of the devil.
Iwaizumi forced back a smart remark, then began to help the two of you. His hands reached out to grab some scattered papers, but instead he grabbed hold of a warm hand. He looked up in surprise, seeing you smile at him.
“You know, if you keep grabbing my hand I might think you have a little crush on me.” You playfully teased, making him jerk his hand away in embarrassment.
“Sorry,” he muttered. He could feel the tips of his ears grow hot and hoped you wouldn’t see it, or worse, Oikawa wouldn’t. Iwaizumi handed you what he picked up.
Once everything was cleared up, you turned to glare at Oikawa. “Next time, please watch where you’re going. I already have a hard enough time carrying this without you running into me.”
He rolled his eyes. “Whatever. If you were weak just say that.” He directed his attention to Iwaizumi. “Help Y/N carry this stuff.”
“Why me?”
The setter only grinned and held up a small paper folded into a heart between two fingers. “I’m afraid I must attend a meeting… one that I’m already late too- Bye!” Before either could object, he raced away.
You suddenly felt a weight being lifted from your arms, and turned to see his best friend taking most of the files from you. He adjusted them in his grasp and asked, “Where to?”
~
“Just put it down here.” You said, watching Iwaizumi set his pile down next to yours on a table. “Thank you.”
“No problem.” He nodded.
Once again, the two of you were in an awkward situation, alone in the empty library. The silence was killing both of you, yet you could not find anything to say.
It was Iwaizumi who broke the silence again. “How do you know Oikawa?”
You raised your eyebrows. “Oh! Uh, Tooru and I worked together for the school play a few months ago. I had the unfortunate pleasure to be stuck working with him for most of the time.”
He nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed. “Oh, that’s how you know him.”
“Yup.”
He felt he needed to apologize. But the words were stuck in his throat. It was not often he found himself in such a situation.
However, you already knew his predicament. “When I mentioned Oikawa- the other day- it wasn’t because I liked him or something.”
Iwaizumi’s head snapped to face you. “H-Huh?” You gave a soft smile. “I just always noticed you coming by when we prepared for the play. That’s how I knew you were friends with Oikawa, and what year you were in. Sorry if I upset you.” Your sudden apology warmed his heart, as weird as it sounded.
“You remember me?” Was all he asked. “Why?”
A blush crept on your cheeks. “That’s all you got out of that?”
He hesitated for a moment, before chuckling. “Are you disappointed with that?”
“No, actually,” You began. “I’m pretty glad.”
Iwaizumi couldn’t fight the smile on his face.
“Oh? Something fell.” You mumbled, seeing a paper on the ground between you two.
Right away, the two of you reached down to grab it at the same time, once again finding your hands touching. It made both of you stop, until you let out a soft laugh.
“What’s funny-” Iwaizumi started to ask, but was stopped by you linking your fingers together. “Oh.” He felt his cheeks heat up.
“Okay, now I actually do think you have a crush on me.”
“Shut it.” But he smiled.

Parker
Pairing: Peter Parker x Reader
Genre: AU
Word Count: 2.3k
Summary: There’s a new Spider person in town and it’s not Parker.
A/N: This is a continuation of the Parker story that I posted last year. I’m sorry to everyone who reads and likes my ff, I’m very slow when it comes to writing. I’ve been feeling down for a while and now I’ve decided to try and work on stories that I was already in the process of writing. So hopeful I’ll do better in time. Also I don’t live in NY so streets and stuff might not always be correct. Also I can’t spell half the time and spell check doesn’t always catch things and sometimes I miss words for a sentence to make sense, I never reread my writing I just didn’t in school and so I don’t really do it now, SORRY!!
You’ve reached the phone number of (Y/n) (L/n) please leave a message at the tone of the beep...
Peter groaned as he tried to reach you for the third time wondering when you will be home since you had to work on a chemistry project with him. Even though you weren’t the best in the science area you said you didn’t want Peter to do all the work on his own. You told him to come to your house around 4, but it was now 6:30 and he didn’t know when you would be home. Your aunt allowed him to stay in your room until you came back, he thought it was a little weird she didn’t really seem that worried about where you were.
As Peter looked around your room, he realized that he didn’t know that much about you. All he knows is that you transferred from a different state to New York to live with some distant relative in 8th grade. The both of you would have small encounters with just a small smile here or a quiet ‘hi’ there if you were sitting next to each other.
Then out of the blue one day during sophomore year, you just sat down at the same table as him during study hall.
---
Peter was working on his calculus homework having not finished the night before, having to focus on his chemistry homework and then having a tiny project for World History, which he had to do all by himself because no one else chose to help him out. He didn’t stress himself too much about the homework, his brain worked fast enough to understand the problems plus his class was after lunch and if he didn’t finish now he’ll just finish then. He was brought out of his thoughts of fast working math problems and numbers, when a loud thud sounded through the library and even louder when it was placed in front of him at his table. He heard the librarian shush the person from her desk.
“Sorry” the person responsible replied back loud enough for only Peter to hear.
Peter looked up to come face to face with the culprit. They looked disheveled, their hair a bit of a mess, their shirt had a couple of stains in different colors on the front. They just had a simple jean jacket covering them from the slight autumn breeze of Queens, New York. You seemed to have noticed Peter’s gaze on your face having turned towards him with a bashful expression on your face.
“Sorry, sometimes I don’t know my own strength.” you said quietly.
“No problem” Peter said with a light smile on his lips.
“I’m (Y/n)” you outstretched your hand for a shake.
“Peter” he said, grabbing your outstretched hand.
---
7:13pm
‘There seems to be no more crime happening at the moment’
“Okay, well I guess it’s time for me to head home then. At least I have far less bruises than normal so it’s not gonna be a big deal when I get home, I don’t want to have to sit through another lecture.” you rolled your eyes behind the mask on your face covering your features.
‘You seem to have missed a phone call, you have one voicemail from a Peter Parker’
“Hey (Y/n)...um I’m at your house right now waiting for you so we can work on our project. I’ve been here for about two hours now and it's getting late so I’m probably gonna end up leaving since my aunt is probably waiting for me to get home. I guess I’ll just see you tomorrow at school. Okay, bye (Y/n).”
“Crap! I forgot about the project, Peter’s probably upset with me.” you sighed and decided to call Peter.
Nothing. You called again. Nothing. Again and again. Nothing. You tried five times and he never answered, a part of you thinks he’s probably just ignoring you for standing him up. The other part worries that he could be in trouble right now. It is Queens.
“Hey Karen can you do another sweep of the city? Any type of crimes or assaults happening at the moment?” worry lacing your voice hoping nothing is or happened to Peter, sweet Peter.
‘There is no crime at the moment (Y/n)’
“Can you search for Peter Parker? Can you give me his current location?” you ask with a slight shake to your questions.
‘Peter Parker is currently on the streets of 7th and Jefferson ave’
He’s not that far away from me you thought to yourself with a sigh.
You were only a few buildings away from Peter so you lept from rooftop to rooftop, sitting nicely on top of an apartment building's roof looking down onto the passerbyers, everyone in their own world and minding their business. As you were watching everyone walk by you kept your eyes open for Peter, even though he did look like every normal teenage boy with brown curly hair from atop, he did have little charms on his backpack; for one being a Ironman POP! Figure keychain for the opening of the big pocket.
---
You were walking down the halls of Midtown trying to find your locker on the first day of sophomore year. It was kinda difficult with everyone walking to and fro not minding you any time or stepping out of the way just a little.
‘Rude’
Just as you found your locker someone ran into you causing you to drop the notebooks and textbooks out of your arms, dropping to the floor with a loud thud. You just scuffed yourself and chose to open your locker first so you don’t have to deal with the weight in your arms. After trying your combination for a third time and nothing happening, you just leaned your head against the metal doors and just sighed out through your nose to try and keep yourself calm and not cause tears or your fist to hit the metal.
“Um...sorry to bother you, but do you need help?” Someone beside you asked timidly and quietly.
You looked up from the floor being face to face with someone who was kneeling beside you on the ground stacking some of your textbooks onto each other. He was a boy around your age with a delicate sprinkle of freckles dotting his face. He had glasses on the bridge of his nose and eyes that looked to be brown colored, but it wasn’t his eye color it was the way his eyes looked at you that drew you in a bit. He looked a bit like a deer in headlights mixed with puppy dog eyes that were just looking into yours with some concern and maybe embarrassment coming in since you were taking a long time to answer him and was just staring at a stranger.
You blinked out of your stupor and smiled at him and asked if he could try and place your locker combination for you. Because if you tried one more time and it didn’t work you might actually punch it. The boy smiled at you and was able to open your locker for you and helped hold half the textbooks.
“Thank you for helping me, since everyone else chooses to be rude.” You grumbled out the last bit.
The boy just smiled at you and said it was no problem and then he walked away probably to meet up with his friend.
---
7:35pm
You still haven’t seen Peter walking anywhere and you were just about to give up and head home when Karen alerted you to a crime in progress.
‘There is a mugging in progress two blocks from here in an alley behind a deli’
You rushed over to the position that Karen sent you and hoped that it wasn’t Peter. Well, it was Peter sadly who was on the ground and shaking with his backpack ripped open and the contents spilling out. The thug was pointing a knife at Peter and yelling at him for money.
Deciding that now was the time to intervene you shot a web to the thugs knife and yanked it out of his grasp.
“You know you shouldn’t be pointing sharp objects at people, what would your grandma have to say?”
Honestly you had to roll your eyes a bit, really (y/n)? His grandma?
You jumped down from the balcony of an apartment and landed in front of Peter blocking him from view. You rose to your full height and placed your hands on your hips, cocking to the right a bit. You turned your head to look at Peter making sure he was okay and safe for the moment, he wasn’t shaking anymore which was good, but he now was just staring wide eyed at you.
“Are you okay?” You asked him
He just nodded his head then looked to your left and pointed a finger, presumably at the thug. When your spider senses went off you just lifted both hands and grasped the thug's arm and flipped him over onto his back making him gasp for air. You then webbed him up to the balcony and had Karen call the cops.
When you were done you walked back over to Peter and knelt down to help grab his stuff off the ground and place them back into his backpack. You then held out your hand to help lift Peter off the ground. When Peter placed his hand in your grasp you might have pulled a little more than you meant causing Peter to collide with your chest and moving your arm to his waist making sure he was stable.
You both stood still in the position for a few seconds before breaking apart chuckling awkwardly. Peter rubbed his neck and you just held your hands behind your back. The silence was starting to become suffocating, so you were about to ask Peter if he wanted a ride home, but he broke the silence first.
“Thank you for what you did earlier.” Peter said quietly
“Eh, it’s no problem.” You shrugged off
You both still stood there not knowing what else to say at the moment. So Peter just took that as a cue to leave since he started to walk out the alley. That prompted you to remember what you were thinking earlier.
“Hey!” You called out to Peter
He stopped in his spot and turned around facing you.
“Would you like a ride? Or even a walking companion?”
Peter just smiled at you showing that the requests weren’t weird to him so you started to walk towards him.
“I could use a walking companion. I would take the ride suggestion, but I’m pretty sure you mean swinging on webs about 15ft or more in the sky away from the ground and I already have a bad fear of heights.” Peter rambled out
You just chuckled to yourself and walked next to him prompting the both of you to walk in silence for a while.
“So what were you doing walking by yourself? It’s never a good idea to be by yourself, especially if you don’t have some type of weapon.” You questioned
Peter didn’t answer right away so you turned to look at him and he was looking at the ground with a slight pout to his mouth. You already know he’s gonna say it was because you never showed up at your own house.
“Well I was supposed to work on a school project with a classmate at her house, but she never showed up for some reason and I was there for about three hours and I told my aunt and uncle I would be home around 8 so I just decided to leave hoping to make it home before it was really dark out. Then I was cleaning my glasses and they dropped, so I had to pull a Velma from Scooby-Doo and look for my glasses. I think the thug was hiding behind the trash or something.” Peter spoke while still looking towards the ground.
You could tell that you not showing up really hurt him, he probably thought you were just using him for a good grade and lied or something.
“Looks like I’ll be doing the project by myself like usual. I just thought that I made a friend, especially for that class since my friend Ned doesn’t share it with me.”
“Well I’m sure she didn’t bail on purpose. Maybe something she accidentally forgot.” You tried to save yourself from looking bad in Peter’s eyes.
Peter just shrugged his shoulders and the conversation ended since apparently you ended up outside of Peter’s apartment. You both turned to each, having yet another awkward silence between the both of you. You took the silence to look at Peter’s features which looked softened in the moonlight, but also harsh with the fluorescent lighting of street lamps. As you were getting lost in Peter’s details Karen rang in your ears telling you that your aunt wants you home in the next 20 minutes or you’re grounded.
“Um well Peter I got to leave, but I hope you have a good evening.” and then you salute in a flirty way at least you hope it came off like that.
As you swung off into the night, heading home to finally relax; Peter was eating dinner with his family and as he was slowly chewing his chow mein he realized what was bugging him for the past 15 minutes, he never gave you his name. He was both curious and a bit worried, worried that you might have been following for a while before tonight and curious because if you weren’t a stalker which he decided to rule out since you have to protect Queens; that means you probably know him from somewhere else. And Peter was going to find out where.

IM SOOO SORRY I’M JUST SEEING THIS HONEY!
i gotchu baby! this is actually scandalous i like how you think. this ones for you on the double.
Just Can’t Choose- Bakugo x Todoroki x Fem!Reader
warnings: smut, cussing, angst, fluff, love triangle, cheating??
author’s note: so i got no notifs for this ask and it’s so old i’m so sorry this took me so long. here’s to my first ask! this one’s gonna be long
Todoroki and you were as thick as theives when you were kids. Still to this day you were inseparable even enrolling in the same school together. You think back to your first day at UA. Shoto was so excited when he found out you were going to be at his side throughout highschool just like in middle school.
“This is going to be great! Our first day at UA! Are you excited, Shoto?” You ask, jumping up and down while holding Todoroki’s shoulders. He laughs softly and nods.
“Yeah. I can’t believe we made it. I got a recommendation but you earned your spot here. Congrats.” He said. You smile and hug him tightly, grabbing his arm and pulling him towards the school’s entrance like an excited child.
You were always the more energetic one out of the two of you. You remember Shoto being really shy and he mostly kept to himself, never speaking too much simply nodding or shaking his head to communicate. But with your help he eventually came out of his shell and you two have been best friends ever since.
You both approach class 1-A and sit a row away from each other, you waving at him from across the room. Todoroki blushed and waved back to you as class began. You were hardly paying attention to whatever the teacher was talking about, scribbling x’s and o’s in your notebook and daydreaming about you and Shoto. Suddenly you drop your pencil, hunching to pick it up when and pair of strong legs block your way. You look up to see a spiky headed blonde dream boat looking down at you with a fiery annoyance in his eyes.
“Outta my way.” He said gruffly, causing your stomach to churn at the deep and gravely sound of his voice. You gulp, unable to say anything as your heart practically beat outside your chest. Who was he?
It’s now your third year at UA and both you and Todoroki’s bond grew stronger, a friendship turning into seemingly unrequited feelings over the years. You couldn’t help but have this love for Todoroki having known him for so long. He just seemed to always know what you were thinking. You knew deep down he was your twin flame.
“Y/N? You’re daydreaming again. Did you hear what I said?” Todoroki asked. You snap out of your deep thought and look Todoroki in his heterochromia eyes, almost melting at his gaze even though he was only asking you a question. You were studying together in the school’s library, a tradition you two shared since middle school. Todoroki was really smart and you weren’t the perfect student so he always helped you. You owed most of your good test scores to him.
“Y-yeah. Sorry.” You said looking down at your notebook. Todoroki tutored you a little more until you heard a familiar voice ring in your ears.
“Oi, Y/N. The hell are you doin with icy hot?” Bakugo said, leaning against the desk you and Shoto were sitting at causing Shoto to groan in annoyance.
“What she’s doing is studying, idiot.” Todoroki said clutching his pencil, slowly turning it to ice as he gripped it tightly.
“Tch.. whatever. As I was saying, y/n. Why study with this dweeb when you could come hang with me instead, huh?” Katsuki said, leaning in close to your face as he grabbed your chin to make you face him. You were so flustered you couldn’t look away, freezing at his touch. Shoto was furious but he’d never let you know that. If he did, then you’d know his true feelings for you and it seemed like Bakugo had you wrapped around his dirty fucking finger.
“U-um.. sure..? Lemme just finish up with Shoto, Katsuki.” You say, avoiding Bakugo’s crimson gaze. You fidget in your seat a little as he releases your chin and agrees to wait for tou outside the library.
“Five minutes, or I’m coming to get you.” He said as he walked away. You sit in front of Shoto, embarrassed and now confused. You couldn’t deny your feelings for him but you also couldn’t help but be swooned by Bakugo. It was something about his crassness and his ability to say whatever was on his mind. He was so honest and open and he didn’t give a damn about what people thought of him. That confidence was such a turn on.
“Don’t let me stop you. Enjoy your date.” Todoroki feigning a tease while forcing a smile, deep down inside screaming and breaking Bakugo’s neck for touching you and taking you away from him.
You laugh it off, assuring him it’s not a date although you were unsure of that fact yourself. You grab your stuff and walk out to meet with Bakugo, Todoroki watching you leave with sadness written across his face.
“Where are we going anyways, ‘Suki?” You ask innocently, clutching the straps of your backpack as you followed Bakugo to his car. Bakugo opened the door for you and let you in the car before shutting it and walking to the driver’s side.
“I don’t know. To be honest I didn’t think this far. I guess we can go get hot pot, whaddaya say?” Bakugo suggests. You cheer and turn on the radio as Bakugo laughs and drives to his favorite hot spot place, eager to share this place with you.
Bakugo may not admit it directly, but he was smitten with you. He had been since the first year at UA when you bumped into his legs trying to grab your pencil off the floor. He couldn’t help be stare at the back of your head in class since he sat behind you and wonder what you like to do in your spare time. He loved that you were such a good hearted person, unable to find a negative bone in your body. Bakugo admired your positive disposition and he kinda wished he could be as sweet as you. If only he could find the strength to tell you how he felt.
After a long night of laughter and story telling you both finish your food. You sigh and lean back in the seat of the booth you sat in, groaning at the fullness of your stomach as Bakugo burping loudly.
“Ready to go?” He asked, as if he didn’t just belch. You giggle and nod, reaching into your bag for your wallet to help pay.
“The hell are you doin’? I got it. Tch..” Bakugo said as if he was irritated that you were willing to lay your half for the food.
“Thank.. you?” You said with confusion. Was he glad to pay or just annoyed. You could never tell with Bakugo. He was a riddle that you wanted to desperately solve. After Bakugo paid for the food you both walk outside to make your way to the car. You chat to him on and on about how much food you ate and how good it was until he suddenly stopped walking.
“W-what is it, ‘Suki?” You ask. Bakugo doesn’t answer. He instead pulls you into a passionate kiss, sending lightning bolts all throughout your body as you instinctively kiss him back. Fuck, what were you thinking? What about Todoroki? You can’t just ignore what you feel for him while fraternizing with Bakugo. Even if he was strong. And handsome. And a great fucking kisser. You moan as he deepened the kiss, pinning you against the car as he ran his hands up your body.
“This is what you wanted, huh?” Bakugo asked between this kiss. “Tired of that icy hot bastard, aren’t ya?” You freeze when he mentioned Todoroki, wanting to defend him but you’re so drunk on Bakugo’s touch you just stare dumbly at Bakugo’s smirking face.
“I-I.. I’m not dating Todoroki.” You admit, looking down at your feet feeling some kind of shame.
“Perfect. Then you’re mine.” Bakugo said darkly.
You tense up as he pulled you in to kiss him again. You hesitate and start to kiss him back. Bakugo pulls away breifly to open the back seat and lead you inside, crawling on top of you as he reached inside your uniform shirt. You squeal at his sudden movement, unsure if you can go through with this at first. But when Katsuki starts expertly leaving kisses on your neck all worry left your mind, sinking into the pleasure you were receiving as you grab at Bakugo’s pants to signal him to take them off.
“I knew you wanted me. Just as much I want you.” Katsuki says breathlessly. You moan in response as he unbuttoned the uniform shirt you wore, pulling your breasts from your bra as he suckled on your now swollen nubs. You start to clench, wetness sopping through your panties as Bakugo worked you over. He reached his hand under your skirt and felt the wetness seeping through your panties with a satisfied smirk. He pulled them aside and teasingly ran his fingers up and down your dripping slit.
“Heh. I haven’t even done anything. So fucking needy.” He mocked causing you cover your face as you blushed.
Sliding two of his thick digits into your soaking wet hole, he kept his eyes locked onto yours, you rolling your eyes to the back of your head in sheer bliss. You were overwhelmed with a feeling of guilt and shame but also pure euphoric pleasure, almost never wanting this feeling to end. The knot in your stomach tightened as Bakugo pumped his fingers in and out of your greedy pussy with purpose causing you to jolt and shake beneath him.
“S-Suki I’m-“ you’re interrupted by your orgasm crashing through your body, moans filling his car as you whine under him. Bakugo smirks and takes his finger out of you to lick them clean, kissing you to have you taste your own juices on his lips. You mewl, coming down from your high as Bakugo pulls out his dick.
“My turn, sweetheart.” He smirks.
After the intense and sloppy fucking you just received in the back of Katsuki’s car, he drives you home. The windows were still foggy from the heat you both excuded during the session and you lazily drew hearts and smiley faces in the fog with your finger. You were in bliss but at the same time you couldn’t help but feel like you made a terrible choice. Still, Todoroki had never told you how he felt about you so you doubt he’ll care. Still, you felt as if you cheated on him even though you weren’t even together. You feel your phone vibrate on your lap as Bakugo pulled up to your front door.
“See ya ‘round, kitten.” Katsuki says, pulling you into a goodbye kiss. You kiss him back with a small frown and get out of the car and check your phone. You freeze as Bakugo pulls away, reading the text you got from
“❄️ half n half 🔥”
“SOS.” It read. It was late and you should probably get inside and go to bed but Shoto needed you. You rush to Todoroki’s house, calling him to let him know you’re outside without alerting his sleeping family. Shortly, Shoto walks outside and stands in front of you.
“So.” He said coldly.
“So...?” You say nervously.
“Do you know what time it is? And you’re just getting home. Don’t tell me you forgot we share locations with each other. I watched you all night.” Todoroki says, gesturing to your disheveled uniform. Shit. Busted. You look down at your feet.
“Look. I don’t even wanna know what happened between you and that bastard today. I could fucking kill him.” Todoroki says, fire forming as he balls his hands into fists. You take a step back from him, knowing that when Shoto gets angry he gets pissed.
“W-What are you talking about?” You asked, unable to look him in the eyes as you lie to his face.
“Don’t. Do not insult my intelligence by lying to my fucking face, Y/N. You were with Bakugo all night. And now you show up here with your uniform all messed up and hanging off your body.” Shoto says sternly, the fire growing bigger as he gets angrier. Shoto was furious. Not only did Bakugo take your attention from him earlier today but he now knows you slept with him before he could. He couldn’t be more fucking angry right now.
“What do you care!? I’m not your girlfriend. All this time we’ve spent together and you never once told me how you felt about me. So why do you care, Todo!?” You yell.
“Because I love you, you fucking idiot!” Todoroki yelled back, shocking you into silence.“Yeah. I said it. I love you. I always have. And I always will. And just knowing that he touched you, was inside you; it infuriates me. What is it about him, huh?! What does he have that I don’t!?”
You stare at Todoroki as hot tears stream down his face in utter betrayl. He knows it’s selfish for him to even be upset with you being as he’s never confessed his feelings until it was ultimately too late, but he couldn’t help it. His love for you consumed him and he’ll be damned if he let you be swiped from under his nose without a fight.
“T-Todo.. I-I love you too. I always loved you. What happened with Bakugo just.. it was in the heat of the moment. If I knew how you felt I would have never even touch him. I wanted to be with you for so long and I-“
Todoroki shuts you up with a feverish kiss. You kiss him back immediately, wanting this for so long. That spark you looked for in Bakugo was strong with Shoto, the world seeming to freeze as you held each other in the snow as you kissed. Your arms slightly burned as Todoroki’s hands were still hot to the touch, him making them cold to numb the pain before you blistered. You start to cry within the kiss, Todoroki shushing you in between the kisses as you comforted you.
“I’m sorry.. I’m so sorry.” You plead as he kissed you, pulling him impossibly closer to you as you sob.
“Don’t be. I love you anyway.”
I hope you liked this! I typed this up just for you. Forgive me for responding so late 🥺.

Young Just us college au
Rent a room, Dick said. It’ll be a nice experience. Don’t just buy a flat, that’s boring and lonely.
Tim had tried to tell his brother that maybe he prefered lonely to crazy, but Dick had insisted. And everyone knew just how difficult dealing with that could be, so he knew better than to resist.
At least, he had tried to comfort himself, he knew the people he’d be rooming with. They were all his friends, an odd assortment of assholes he’d picked up on school, summer camps, vacation trips, scientific events, even comic cons, and just… fell platonically in love with them.
Maybe, as Dick said, it would be fine.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
No, it wasn’t fine.
-Jay -he whispered into the phone, hoping he wouldn't be heard by the others on the other side of the door- Jay, they are crazy. I need extraction asap. We could fake my death and I can go to University somewhere else.
The older man laughed in the other end of the receiver, the sound of pages rustling indicating Tim had caught him during his daily grading paper sesion. That was the sound of crying students dying over carefully demolished arguments.
-They are all your friends, Timbo. If you fake your death, you’ll need to start over again and meet new people.
Tim hissed.
-Exactly, babybird. Also, this is day one of sharing a house, how bad can it possibly be?
-Jay, they left the kitchen lights on. It’s daytime! Why the hell do they need the lights on? Aren’t they aware of how big the bill is gonna be if they are like this?
-...Timmy, you… you are a billionaire. I think that should be the last of your concerns.
-That’s not the only thing. It’s so noisy, Jay. I choose the attic room hoping it’ll be nice and quiet. It’s not. I can hear everything. What do I do if some of them pair up? I’ll be stuck here listening to them having sex forever!
-...I don’t know where to begin.
-You can start by contacting B for me. He was right when he said it wasn’t a good idea for me to live with other people. But I can’t call him to help me out of this, because I think Dick blocked my number in his phone, and my emails don’t seem to be reaching him.
-He said it because you are the purest of his children, and he knew college was corruptive enough without adding dorm sharing to it; that was his version of helicopter parenting. But Timbo, it’s moving day. You’ve been there for less than five hours. And you already emailed B?
-The first thing Slobo did when he came in was to fart. In the middle of the living room. I can’t live with them, they are animals!
-They are your best friends, you’ve known them forever.
-But I never had to deal with them in a closed space for an unlimited amount of time!!! I’m trapped here.
-...
-...!
-...Are you hiding in a closet?
-...no. That would be stupid, in a three story house where I have my own/
-You are, ain’tcha?
-I am. Please help me?
Long sigh- I’ll meet you for coffee on the place near the Economics building so you have an excuse to be out for the evening while the others finish their moving. You’re done with your part, right?
-Yes! Thank you!
-You owe me.
-Next time Dick wants bonding time, I’ll sacrifice myself volunteering so you can run.
-And this is why you’re my favorite. Be there in ten.
-.-.-.-.-.-
-Tim? Tim! Here you are!
Blinking was a thing Tim suddenly remembered he needed to do, and he did it a few times as his eyes were dragged away from his book by a pair of hands on his cheeks.
-Kon? What are you doing in the library?
The other boy was panting slightly, flushed from what Tim guessed was a desperate run there.
-I was looking for you! You never came back after classes were done for the day, and you didn’t pick up your phone. We were very worried, dude.
-I was just studying, chill.
-It’s almost midnight.
No, it couldn’t be.
-No, it isn’t. I haven’t been here that long.
Serious and slightly worried, Conner thrusted his own phone in Tim’s face and… uh. Look at that. It was nearly midnight.
-Oh. Got distracted with research, sorry.
-It’s been barely two weeks, how much can you possibly need to study?
Unprompted, Kon started to help him pack his books and papers. He seemed utterly amazed by the almost illegible graphs and charts.
-No, this isn’t homework. I’m working on a thing for WE…
The rest of the way home was spent with Tim talking Conner’s ear off about shit he had absolutely no idea about, but didn’t complain, just holding Tim’s backpack with one hand while steering his sleep deprived friend back home with the other.
-.-.-.-.-.
-Bart? -Tim yawned, getting into the kitchen and raising a confused eyebrow at his friend- It’s… three am. What are you doing awake?
-Stress baking -the smaller boy replied, never stopping stirring the bowl- You?
-Papers and presentations.
-Classes or WE?
-Bit of both. What are you making?
-Cupcakes. Want some?
-They’ll go great with coffee, thanks.
They spent the next half hour waiting for the oven to do its magic talking about video games, classes and evil teachers.
-Your brother is the worst. TA. Ever. He always grades my papers and he’s a bitch about them.
-He relishes in the pain. It’s what keeps him young. I swear he never grew past fifteen.
-It’s scary, and honestly so annoying. Like, I get pointing out mistakes, but he doesn’t need to be a passive aggressive ass about it.
-I’ll let him know what you think.
-Please don’t. I’m afraid of him, and the power he holds in his hands. The power to make me fail Creative Writing.
-Why are you even taking that class? Actually, what even is your major?
A shrug, and before Bart could open his mouth to reply, the timer let them know the cupcakes where done.
-You can have one before bedtime, dude. The circles under your eyes look like make up at this point.
-You are one to talk, mister Stress Baking at Three in the Morning.
-But unlike you, I don’t have to be up at the ass of dawn. C’mon, have one of these and back up you go.
-Bite me.
-I’d rather bite this peanut butter miracle, but if you insist…
-No! Bart, get away from me!
-Then go to bed!
-Go to hell!
-I AM in hell! I have Jason Fucking Todd as my TA!
-IF YOU DON’T GO BACK TO BED RIGHT NOW, I’LL KICK YOU BOTH ALL THE WAY THERE! -Cassie’s voice echoed in the walls, and they both blanched at the reminder that her room was, in fact, in ground floor.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
A part of college Tim had never considered, let alone readied himself for, was the… party bit.
-What do you mean, of course you’re coming -laughed Anita, clutches firm on Tim’s sleeve as she dragged him into hers and Cassie’s room.
-No, I have to study for…
-You don’t have any midterm or final this week. I know, because I checked. No papers due either. This is literally the perfect time for you to party.
-I can’t, I…
-Suck at socializing? Yeah, cher, I’m aware. That’s why awesome me is taking you as my plus one for this party. No need to thank me, glad to be your social buffer whenever you need me.
Tim started to resist in earnest when they got into the room and he caught a glimpse of the clothing Anita had apparently chosen for him.
-There’s no way I’m fitting into those pants! Let me go!
-I’ve seen you squeezing your butt into the vent that one time when Kon threw the key to the coffee maker cabinet inside it. If you could get in there, these pants are a piece of cake.
-No!
-Don’t make me hurt you, Drake.
-Anita…!
-Ugh! -she stopped, dropping Tim on her bed and crossing her arms. She averted her eyes- My ex is gonna be at the party. I might have been exaggerating a bit when I said I was over him, but I already promised my friends I was gonna be there. I… could really use your help here. I know it’s not your scene, but Kon and Bart have midterms, Slobo would straight up punch my ex with his astounding lack of subtlety, Miguel is away dealing with family stuff, and the girls are awesome but not really what I need right now.
A pause.
-Okay, but I’m absolutely not putting on that crop top. And we better not end up wasted, I have a reputation to uphold.
Spoiler alert: he did put on the crop top. And they had to call Conner to walk them home after the third time Tim walked into a lamp post and Anita fell into the campus’ pond.
-.-.-.-.-
They were walking back home late on a Friday when they were approached by a group of stupid, drunk dudebros. Tim was already dreading the moments to come before they even spoke, just by the way they kept eyeing Cassie’s legs and Anita’s rack. Cissie herself was wearing loose pants and a sweater, so she was safe from their disgusting examination. Not that it kept her from crossing her arms and looking down at the assholes.
-Heyyyyy, ladies. Wanna go clubbing with us?
Tim shrugged- He’s talking to you, girls. I’m out. Have fun.
Cassie caught him by his hoodie before he could take a single step. He heard her warning clear as day and sighed, defeated.
-Yess, you can go -slurred Dudebro number two, waving him away- There’ three of us, and three of those pretty things. You can get lost.
-See, Cass? Hear the gentlemen. You don’t need me here.
Anita kicked him in the shin.
-No. We just got our nails done. You either solve this peacefully, or take care of it if it turns dirty. Why do you even walk us home if not to protect us from creepers like these?
A loud ‘hey’ came from the dudebros, but Tim ignored them. Silently, he pointed at Cassie’s legs (he had seen her crushing a watermelon between them once), Cissie’s arms (a thing of beauty that made multiple lesbians all around campus cry) and Anita’s katana (that she wasn’t supposed to keep on her person around other students, but who was gonna enforce any rules on the girl with the giant knife?).
-Excuse me? You three should be protecting me. I’m a rich, sheltered boy.
Apparently done being ignored, the three idiots decided this was a good time to throw the first punch. Which Tim dodged, without breaking eye contact with Cassie. She raised her eyebrow, not moving an inch. Cissie was examining her nails. Anita’s eyes promised hell.
He sighed, turned around, caught the second coming punch, and used the hand under his palm to force the dudebro to his knees. A knee to the face and then he turned to the other two.
Next time, Slobo was walking with them.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Flip side: the attic room had its own bathroom. Significantly smaller than the ones on the other two floors, but hey, no sharing.
The downside: apparently, the bathroom vents all connected with one another, and because of their aligning schedules, he often took showers at the same time Miguel did.
Flip side: Miguel had the singing voice of an angel, and the acoustic was fantastic. Showers were rarely boring now.
Downside again: Tim often forgot himself and sang along, but his voice… wasn’t as pretty.
Flip side again: at least, judging by Miguel’s smile, he found it adorable rather than pathetic.
Downside number three: Greta and Cissie’s room, by some unsolved mystery, also had connecting vents to the bathroom, and the archer girl was… less charitable about Tim’s inability to sing.
Flip side: Greta liked him better than most of their house mates, and she had more than enough dirt on Cissie to keep her from sharing the secret of Tim’s awful voice.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
-Hey, baby bird. Sorry I’m calling just now, it’s been a while.
-Hey Jay. Don’t worry, you’re busy grading papers.
-How do you know?
-Bart was crying in the tub this morning. Completely clothed and eating nachos with whipped cream, I might add.
-What is that boy even studying? I know he has Chem classes, Roy is his TA, and Kory saw him in the designer’s building.
-That is an unsolved mystery for the ages.
-Hey, speaking of your housemates, how’s it going?
Tim stopped on his way out of the kitchen, eyes growing fond as he examined the group on the living room. They were fighting over that night’s movie choice. He didn’t know why they tried, Greta was gonna win. Nobody could resist her and Miguel’s puppy eyes.
-It’s… it’s been great, actually.
-Uh huh.
-But don’t tell Dick. He’ll be unbearably smug.
-Of course I won’t. You still have that time I crashed B’s favorite car on me.
-Oh, Oh fuck! -came Slobo’s voice- TIM, BRING THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER!
A loud crash. Tim winced, eyes leaving his friend in favor of the wall. If he didn’t see it, it wasn’t happening.
-TIM, BUD, WE NEED SOME HELP HERE!
-...what was that, Timbo?
-Nothing.
-TIM, TIM, THE TV IS ON FIRE!!! COME QUICKLY BEFORE IT REACHES THE XBOX OR SO HELP ME GOD I’M MURDERING EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM!
-...Tim?
-Don’t tell B.
-Gotcha. Going to save their lives?
-More like hiding in my room until they sort themselves out or die. Good luck on those papers.
-Good luck on surviving.

alright, i was on the fence about the oc weekend idea, but fuck it i have a bunch of shit made why not? block “oc weekend” tag if you don’t care cuz same
so have some cleo (and nia) headcanons to kick whatever the fuck this is gonna be off
super long cuz i have a serious problem
So her starting skills were bow, charisma, and wildlife, then woods lore, then blade, medicine, deception, brawling, seduction
She made some money hunting, which is where the bow and animal skills came from
With being an elf, her and Kade were orphaned together in a massacre and taken in by a local farmer
Absolutely got into so much trouble, usually Cleo getting a bad idea and dragging Kade along, but could always talk her way out of it, hence the charisma
MC canonically has relationship experience, right? I think she had a short term partner, maybe some flings with travelers or something, but never really got invested in relationships, just wasn’t her thing
Especially in RIverbend, where everyone knows everyone and it’s awkward if you break up
She’s pretty similar to canon MC, wild and goofy and somewhat reckless
But also really determined and caring and sweet when she needs to be
I adore her if you can’t tell
The first time she saw Nia, totally tongue-tied and a flustered mess, she’s smooth when it’s a joke but incapable of any coherent words when it turns real
She’s pretty awkward, definitely stiff at first, but slowly loosens up as she gets closer to Nia, letting her goofy side show
She for sure pines and gets made fun of for it by Kade, then Mal and Imtura every time she gets flustered
And Threep likes to rub it in too, occasionally threatening to say something unless he gets snacks he does the same to Nia askjksdf
I’m also in love with the idea of Mal and Imtura playing matchmaker and constantly trying to set them up in situations where they have to be close, and the two of them losing their minds when Cleo and Nia get stuck in that pit
The night at the cabin in the Deadwood was the first moment Cleo realised that there could be something real there, like it just never clicked until Nia was straight up telling her she liked her
From then on things definitely change, and Cleo starts being a lot softer, like at the masquerade and stuff
But the argument in the cabin always sticks out in her mind, she defended Nia’s right to spend her life as she chooses, but she doesn’t necessarily like it
She always tries to find work arounds for Nia using her light, like using her own before Nia can get the chance
She for sure nearly decked the High Priest, just for all his bullshit, and was very happy to get that tracking orb from him to make sure they would be safe she had some plans already
So I don’t accept MC being cool after Nia straight up gets yanked into the Shadow Realm, Cleo absolutely was about to jump in after her until Imtura grabbed her and jerked her back like “what the fuck are you doing”
Cleo was about to snap the entire time they were working their way through the Shadow Realm, definitely wrecked Vonstratz on Nia’s behalf
I also don’t accept the “single tear” line when MC fucking KILLS Nia, Cleo would be bawling her eyes out and refusing to let go of her when she dies
There not being an ily felt kinda weird to me, and cuz Cleo’s a sap, I feel like she’d either say it before stabbing Nia or during the diamond scene where they’re looking out at Whiterun
In the first instance, it’s more for her piece of mind, that Nia knows what her sacrifice means
When Nia comes back, Cleo whispers it a million times into her shoulder as she hugs her, until she sounds like a broken record
For the second one, it’d be a bit spur of the moment, she’d just be looking in Nia’s eyes as the words spill out, but she wouldn’t even care cuz it felt so right
And now I’m going to ignore book 2 and make up my own shit
So immediately after, Cleo and Kade go back to Riverbend to pack up their lives there, Kade in order to stay in Whiterun cuz King Arlan made him a librarian or something, idk but he’s in Whiterun at the royal library and archives
Cleo ends up running a few odd jobs out of Whiterun for a while, helping Mal out quite a bit as Nia ends up with a lot of responsibilities at the temple after the High Priest gets axed
Cleo ends up quite well known as a good adventurer/travel mate by the time Nia ends up quitting the temple
Before they leave on their first trip as just them, Cleo takes her up to that terrace overlooking Whiterun after taking her to the market
They stare out at the city for a while, until the sun’s setting along the horizon
Cleo pulls out a ring from her bag, fiddling with it as she shifts on her feet nervously. She’s wussed out like half a dozen times already, and this is her last chance to do it somewhere so special
Nia figures out something’s up and starts prodding to figure it out, poking her and stuff and laughing the whole time
Cleo’s kind of found out, and turns to her blushing the ring held between her thumbs and index fingers as she avoids eye contact, “So, um. You wanna get married?”
Not what Nia was expecting at all and she kind of just 👁👄👁 for a while, until Cleo starts trying to back out of it, thinking she fucked up
And then it’s Nia’s turn to stumble over her words something along the lines of, “No, wait! Okay, um, no, so - No, I don’t mean no, just - Yes! Of course!”
The ring’s super basic, like plain silver without even a gem
I feel like Cleo found it on a trip with Mal, and immediately thought of Nia and proposing and freaked herself out a bit, but that’s why she didn’t look for another cuz shes a sap
They travel around the realm a bit, stopping in Undermount so Cleo can look into House Nightbloom, and getting rides from Imtura when Mal gives them a tip on a relic or something
All the while Nia’s trying to spread the Light in small villages, using her magic for little things as Cleo works favours again
At some point they get a cottage a ways away from a village, I’d say not too far from the Deadwood and things slow down for the most part, only the occasional trip for the temple
It’s a really cute house, small and surrounded by flowers and huge trees, Cleo builds a swing on one
The others visit occasionally, Kade and Threep the most often, and I almost want to say they take in an orphan, but I can’t decide if Cleo would trust herself enough for that
Though I feel like Nia would love to have pets at the least cleo always compares threep to the cats to annoy him
Elves canonically have longer life spans than humans, and Nia’s is even shorter from using her Light, so I’m sure you can tell where I’m going with this
Nia passes in her sleep before anyone else in the gang and it really fucks up Cleo, like the way she wakes up to it and can’t even stop it
And the worst part is that she’s always hoping just a little bit in the back of her mind that it’s like the first time, and Nia’s just going to wake up or knock on the front door
The gang meet up all together for a funeral, and Cleo plants the flowers from the bouquet from the end of book diamond scene
She ditches the cottage cuz too much of it is Nia, and is just kind of aimless for a little bit, staying with Kade in Whiterun, but ultimately hates not having a purpose
She moves to the old elven cabin in the Deadwood cuz shes a sap cuz it’s one of her favourite places
She devotes herself to fixing it up and making it better, helping travelers through the Deadwood cuz I feel like Tyril would open Undermount up
Everyone’s stayed in relative contact and tend to invite Cleo on adventures if they don’t hear from her for a while, just to keep her from isolating herself in the woods
Mal works with the monarchy to make things better in the Nooks and Crannies while still thievin, and especially when he’s older settles down more
I feel like he lives pretty long, but ends up sick and passing away, second to go and he kinda laughs about it his mum was sick right? and he jokes about the irony to feel better?
I doubt Imtura really accepts being a princess, I think she keeps captaining and fights it as long as she can until she really doesn’t have a choice
But she’s not like her mum, actually leaving Flotilla and like working with the guard and stuff
I think she’s third, dying in battle like a badass and saving her crew. She’s honored by the clans, and the monarchy and even Undermount declares her a hero or something idk how it works there
I feel like Kade would keep to stories, but maybe spend a while just moving about the realm, stay in Undermount to explore it and stuff, builds up his name as a bard
He dies in his sleep too cuz he deserves it, he passes when he’s visiting Riverbend again, he’s buried there and like the whole village shows up
I feel like Tyril’s significantly older than everyone else, but being an elf hides it
He always gives Cleo tips on artifacts, or asks her to escort travelers through the Deadwood or around the realm if they’re important to keep her busy
He’s not the head of House Starfury, but he’s still pretty involved in elven politics, mainly focused on opening up Undermount, educating people on the elven empire and spreading the wealth and stuff
He’d go before Cleo, just running out of life force after all his magic
After Tyril passes, Cleo’s just done, he was the only thing giving her purpose, and she’s spent decades cleaning up the Deadwood as best she can
Threep’s joined her after Tyril’s funeral, staying with her for a few days and how following her out into the forest
She walks out to the clearing they saw the unicorn at and stops right on the edge, sitting down and setting up a purification ritual
She’s known how for years, she learned after Nia passed so she could spend some of her life completing one of her dreams like a sap
She clears out the darkness from a lot of the Deadwood to drain the last of her life force, stumbling over to a tree and sliding down to the ground, her back pressed against the bark
Threep flutters into her lap, her nails scratching behind his ears as he licks her chin comfortingly, a final goodbye
Her breathing starts heavy, growing slow as her chest feels far more hollow than it did a moment ago, and her eyelids slowly grow heavy
A breeze brushes her hair, stirring her awake. The lake’s shimmering before her, bright and magical as she stumbles to her feet, Threep gone from her lap
The Deadwood’s healed, more than she could possibly have managed on her own, and she has so much more energy now than when she fell asleep
She trips through the trees, running for what feels like hours until she’s back at the cabin, the stone bright against the trees as it sits, whole again after all her effort
She shoulders the front door open, freezing when she sees the fireplace, or rather, what’s before the fireplace
Nia’s there, her back to the flickering flames as she smiles, cheeks redder than the curls falling down her shoulders
And Cleo doesn’t stop running, tackling Nia into a hug and squeezing with all she is, tears dripping down her chin as she laughs, carefree and disbelieving and happy. So, so happy, for the first time since she last saw that smile
#i got very carried away oops#cleo nightbloom#shes getting a tag now cuz im committed tothis dumbass elf#and her magical partner#im assuming nespers live crazy long based on loola#and nia said 'well meet again beyond the veil' so im also assuming there's some sort of afterlife#oc weekend#wrote this like two weeks ago lmao#so ignore how erratic it is

2.13 : The Sudden Shift
I woke up at 5 am the next morning. My legs were already fine but i could feel that i was sweating so much when i slept. But i couldn't remember when i fell asleep.
I got up and made a cup of hot tea. It was still early in the morning so i had plenty of time to just enjoy the view. The letter that i wrote was still there. Nothing's changed in the room, so i took a conclusion that the observer didn't appear when i was sleeping.
Hours passed, the sun started to rise, and the street started to get crowded as people began their Saturday. But there were no replies from Lily after i sent a good morning text. So i decided to go outside just to enjoy a bit of walking.
I walked towards the train station. I didn't have any destination that i had to go to. So i just tapped my card, got into the station, and waited for a commuter line to the city center. When the commuter line arrived, i quickly got in and found a seat. It was Saturday after all so there were not as many people as it was like the weekday.
After getting off the train, i got into my favourite restaurant near the station to have some breakfast. The place was a bit crowded but luckily i found a seat. I ordered a glass of milk and a fried rice. Then i started to read the novel that i brought with me, The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, which was written by Haruki Murakami.
After about an hour, i put the book back in my bag and paid for my food. Then i walked towards the park. Along the way, i checked my phone and there were no messages or calls from anyone.
"Perhaps i'm invisible, perhaps i only become exist when people need me." I whispered to myself.
But it was true, at least that was how i felt it back then. Everytime my friends planned something, i would be the last to be invited. Sometimes Sarah would be the only one to invite me on the last minute. But i wasn't mad, even if i had the chance, i wouldn't get mad. There was no clear reason for me to get mad at my friends. After all, being invited was already more than enough.
I arrived at the park and sat down on the bench overlooking the small lake. The park was a bit crowded but i found a place which had the least number of people. I sat there while drinking my mineral water.
It was a beautiful day. The clouds seemed to be tired to show up. So the blue colour filled the sky. It was beautiful outside, but inside me, it wasn't so beautiful. At least that's how it was that day.
Shortly after 1 pm, i decided to go back to my place. I took the same route, took a train, and walked aimlessly around my university. The dark clouds were moving towards the west and it could be raining any moment. But i didn't care. If i go back to my place, i couldn't enjoy the rain.
As expected, the rain was pouring down around 1.35 pm. I decided to wait for the rain under a bus stop so my clothes and my bag wouldn't get soaked. There were only four people in the bus stop. They all seemed to be disappointed because of the rain.
Suddenly, my phone rang. I thought it was a phone call, turned out it was a couple of messages. Which was from Lily. I was surely a bit surprised then hurriedly opened the message.
"Hi Adrian, i'm sorry about last night, and today." She said in her first message.
"Can we have a video call tonight?" She asked in her second message.
Without wasting time, i replied her message.
"No no, don't be sorry, it's okay. Of course we can. Just let me know the time." I sent the reply.
But then, no reply came. The rain stopped about 30 minutes later and i decided to go back to my place as quickly as possible. As soon as i arrived, i changed my clothes, threw the one i just used to the basket, and made myself a cup of hot tea.
As i'm watching the rain fell down through the window. I thought about my friends. How i've been left out by them, how i've been 'thrown out' of the groups quietly and slowly. But the more i thought of it, the more i realized that i should be the one to blame for that. How i declined a few invitations from them because the schedule collided with my schedule with Lily. Nobody should be blamed except me.
"Why didn't you come to Rachel's house?" David asked me sometime when we were still in vacation period.
"Uh sorry man, i had a date as well with Lily." I answered him.
"That was the third time you didn't come because of going for a date." He said. I saw a disappointment on his face.
"Well i will come on the next time, surely." I told him awkwardly.
But as most of the things in our lives, three is the limit of the chance that will be given before the opportunity itself gone. I guess i didn't stand another chance within them.
I kept remembering it as the day turned into night. The rain was still falling down and quickly became the music of the night. Then i started to hit by headache and sneezing unstoppably.
At 9, Lily videocalled me and i answered with right away. She looked tired and i gave her a few words that i usually did to cheer her up. Long story short, it didn't work. I was terribly bad at giving some support to people. But about 20 minutes into the call, she noticed that i had a fever.
"You have fever?" She asked me.
"No i don't, it's just, you know, sneezing." I answered, but my voice was already different.
"Go take some rest, goodnight." She said and instantly turned off the call.
I just stared at the screen for a very long time after she turned the call off. Thinking why the fever had to come at this exact moment. But little did i know, the fever itself, was the beginning of my downfall in college.
Exactly three days later, the fever didn't stop. I started to get hit by another symptoms such as losing the appetite, massive weight loss, no strength even to just walking, etc. But somehow until the fourth day, i kept going into the class like nothing happened. On the afternoon during the fourth day, Sarah asked me to accompany her to the supermarket just a few blocks down the road from her place.
"Hi, i hope you're not busy this afternoon because im gonna treat you. I'll wait for you in front of the Library after 4." She said in a voice message.
After my class was over, i straight up went to the Library and waited for her. As usual, she showed up on time.
"Adrian, you look bad. You got fever or something? Have you eaten anything? Can you walk? You want me to take you to your place?" She asked so many things in one breathe, just like how she usually did whenever she got worried.
"I'm okay Sarah. I can accompany you to the supermarket, but buy me something, okay." I answered, i tried to smile but i assumed that i looked more like someone who tries to hold the pain rather than smiling.
"You look pale, you know that?! No way i would take you to the supermarket." She shouted at me. Luckily nobody was around us at that time.
"Chill sis, i walked my way from class to the library. So i can say i'm good to go. No, i don't accept any answer other than okay let's go. Got it?" I told her.
"Huh if you pass out, don't blame me, do we have a deal?" She asked me after a long thinking.
"I won't, but mom surely would ask you." I answered her question and proceeded to grab her tote bag. She carried too much stuff for somebody who wanted to go to the supermarket.
"Mom will definitely believe me more than she believes you." She said as we walked towards the station. The supermarket's shortcut was located right besides the station, so we didn't have to walk that far.
She bought many stuff that afternoon, she labeled it as monthly shopping. Shampoo, toothpaste, lots of canned food, vegetables, drinks, you name it all. Meanwhile i bought some canned food like the one she bought, a few chocolate bars, eggs, and some vegetables that i would cook that night. After that, she took me to the food court to get something to eat.
"Are you okay? Still have strength to get back to your place?" She asked me as we ate our food. I bought a plate of rice and grilled chicken, while she bought a bowl of meatballs.
"Yes, i'm totally okay. See, i told you i could make it." I said proudly.
"Journey hasn't finished yet, monsieur." She said.
"Just a short distance left so no probs, right." I asked her.
"I hope so, i do hope so." She said as she exchanged her bowl with my plate. Tradition, we called it.
"Lily knows?" She asked again.
"No, she is just, busy, i guess." I answered as i took a spoon of meatballs.
"She always busy, huh?" She asked me.
"I don't know..." I answered. I wanted to continue but i couldn't find any words.
"She always had time, back then, right? Why she suddenly gets busy? It's like she suddenly shift her focus off you, don't you think so?" She asked me again.
"I suppose. But i don't want to disturb her. I mean i text her every morning, afternoon, and night. But there are no interest from her." I told Sarah as she enjoyed every bite of the grilled chicken.
"Oh my oh my, my Adrian, don't get trapped again, please. I've known you better than any of your friends, and your girlfriend, and i will always know you better." She stopped for a while to sip her lemon tea.
"How difficult for you to get up from your lowest point, how long it takes, how hard you do it, i know it better than her. For your own good, get the things straight with her. Don't take someone who act like you're a temporary option seriously." She continued.
"But i love her." I said.
"That's a poor excuse. You do know that i love you, right? So that's why i tell you this. Because i care about you. Perhaps more than you care about yourself. More than she does. If you get hurt while you're with somebody and they don't even try to change it, why you should stay?" Sarah asked me as she looked at me deep in my eyes.
I was at lost for words. Everything she said was true. But something inside me resisted it. Suddenly what the observer told me back then coming back.
"Be careful, things started to unfold." The observer's voice echoed in my head.
"I need you to think about it, okay bro?" Lily told me as she tilted her head while looking at me. I felt safe everytime she did it, i didn't know the reason of it.
"Now let's go home. You need some rest." She stood up and took my hand.
"If Lily sees us, i guarantee you she will be mad." Sarah laughed as we were holding hands.
"If that's the case, i don't care about what she says though. We've been doing this since we were kids." I told her. Then we walked outside the supermarket heading towards our place.
We were lucky enough to find our places next to each other. So basically we see each other everyday. That night, we walked for about half hour side by side. Talking about many things, laughing at the old times. Sometimes i asked her to stop to rest for a minute. Then, we arrived at Sarah's place and i gave her the stuff that i carried.
"If anything happens tonight, call me straightaway." She said as she opened the gate.
"Copy that, mademoiselle." I told her.
"I mean it. Don't forget. I will come to check you out at 8 tomorrow. Get some rest, don't play videogames." She said.
"No worries, i will let you know. An hour of play won't be a problem though. Don't you think?" I told her with a bit of laugh.
"Gonna kill you if you do that." She told me as she showed her fist.
"Wow wow chill. I won't play tonight so don't worry. See you tomorrow." I said as we waved to each other.
After cooking some vegetables and canned food, i ate it while looking at the half moon on the sky. No messages from anyone. Only messages about assignments and so on in group chats. My parents had some stuff to take care abroad and hardly contacted me. However, 10 minutes later. My phone rang with a message showing up. It was, unexpectedly, from Lily.
"How are you doing? Are you okay??" She asked me in her message.
"Yep i'm okay. But..." I stopped typing to think about the appropriate words.
"Tell her everything you feel." A voice said. The observer has showed up.
"Not gonna happen tonight. Gotta rest so i will just skip the detail." I told him.
"Your choice. But seriously, it's better if she knows about it, right? Good for your recovery, too." The observer said.
"Let's see what will happen in the next 7 days, then i will decide." I told him. I was running out of strength to say anything.
"Yep, i'm okay, but i will see what happens tomorrow. It's not that bad but not that good either. How about you? Are you okay?" I sent her the message.
"Well well, i can't wait to see it then. Get some rest, be tough. I will comeback tomorrow after you finish your business with Sarah." The observer said as he disappeared.
"Huh, that's fast, observer." I told him before he completely disappeared.
"Let me know if anything happens. Take some rest tonight, don't play any games. Just, take as much as rest as you can, okay? I'm okay here so don't worry about me." She replied.
"Okay Lily, understood. I'm sorry i made you worry." I replied.
"No no, don't be sorry. You have to focus on getting healed, okay? Now sleep. Good night Adrian. I will sleep as well so hopefully we'll meet in our dream." She said and followed by a love emoji.
"Ummm okay Lily. Hopefully we can haha. Good night, I love you, I miss you." I sent my last messages at that night and closed the curtain, put my phone down, turned the light off, and pulled my blanket.
I fell into a dreamless sleep. I woke up every one hour with a massive headache and pain on every inch of my body. As the night grew deeper and darker, i found that it was more difficult to sleep. Fortunately, i fell asleep back just before 3 am. But in the morning, every part of my body seemed to collapse. I lost my apetite completely and it was difficult to get up, even to move my hand seemed to be impossible. The downfall was completely started to take place overnight.

The Emo Phase
THIS IS MY FIRST SISTER WINCHESTER ONE SHOT PLEASE DONT HATE IT I CRIII
Dean: 26
Sam: 22
Y/N: 15
When you were 15, that’s when you had an emo phase, and Sam and Dean were NOT pleased
You had a short temper and a prissy attitude and they were not having any of it. You wore all black and according to Dean ‘slutty’ clothes, which made you more mad at him
You snuck out all the time and each time they got tired of you so Sam grounded you for 2 months
“What? You can't ground me what the fu-”
“I think I just did. Room. Now.”
And when Sam grounds you, you know you can't get out of it easily. Even so, instead of being a good kid and saying sorry, you slammed and locked your door.
You were so mad you balled your hand into a fist and shattered your mirror and threw the stuff that was on your dresser on the floor. Let’s just say, your room didn’t deserve the things you did to it.
About an hour or so later your energy drained because you were mad at Sam. Mad at Dean. Mad at yourself
You cried for hours and when you woke up you looked like a mess with red puffy eyes
Until it hit you. You woke yourself up, Dean didn’t come in and call you Princess, he hasn’t in a while…
You opened your door and walked to the kitchen doorframe to see Sam and Dean at the kitchen table, Sam on his laptop and Dean drinking a beer looking at the newspaper.
You just stood there silently for a minute until you decided to walk past them to get something to drink
Dean looks up and sees you saying “There’s our little ball of sunshine” sarcastically
“Bite me” “Hey I’m not the one who got grounded by Sammy”
“Whatever don’t talk to me” You grab yourself a glass of milk and go to your room to get dressed for school.
You walk into your room and “Wow...Did I do all of that?” You were so filled with adrenaline and hate you blocked out most of what happened last night after you got grounded
You got dressed and went into the kitchen to achieve your backpack, glasses and the ribbon your mom got you.
“Y/n your rooms a mess you’re gonna clean it up when you get back fro-”
“Yeah no shit, it's not like I’m gonna keep it that way, Sam”
You didn’t want to stay there any longer and decided to walk to school. Your school is a few miles away and one of your brothers usually takes you, but you could bare being near them right now.
You were already 20 minutes late to first hour and frankly, you didn’t give two flying fucks
You decided to skip 1st hour because honestly they're’s no point on going anymore
You skipped second hour because you hated the teacher and skipped third hour because that teacher always gives you a hard time.
In fourth hour (the hour you FINALLY decided to come to class) you got sent to the councilors office
“Are you Y/n m/n Winchester dear?”
“Yeah, why?”
“The principals have contacted your guardians to come to this school to pick you up, you’re suspended for 4 days”
“Wait for WHAT? What did I even do??”
“We’ll talk about that once your guardians are here”
Your back is turned away from the door and once you heard that door open you KNOW you’re done for. For the first time in a while, you’re scared to be near your brothers.
“Are you two Sam and Dean Winchester?”
“Yes we are, hello”
Sam on your left and Dean on your right, you can't leave even if you tried
“We have called you in here today to inform you that y/n has been suspended for 4 days due to breaking Sabrina Gillie’s nose and breaking Callie Monoys’ arm”
'Oh right… that’s what I did' you thought while trying to remain calm
It was silent for a few moments which felt like forever
“Thank you so much for telling us we’ll take the right disciplinary action”
You, Sam and Dean, walked out of the office and were walking through the hallways to get to the Impala.
You usually like quiet but right now you were going insane.
You hated the silence, it was digging into your skin like needles
You, Sam and Dean, were in the impala when the silence broke in 3...2...1...
"Y/n, what the hell were you thinking?" Dean says with venom in his voice
"Yeah okay, ask me what I was thinking and not what they were thinking, sure do that"
"Son of a bitch y/n I know you think you're 'so' cool now but dammit come on, you broke a girl's nose and another girl's arm"
"Fucking hell Dean it's not like I 'wanted' to do it, they deserved it!"
"No more out of you Y/n, once we get in the bunker you're going straight to your room and staying there, you got me?"
"No," you say like a calm but dark undertone.
"Excuse me?" Sam says looking back at you
"I said no, me, Claire and her friend Alex are hanging out tonight at Claire's house"
"The hell you are," Sam says "You're still grounded, missy"
"Do NOT call me missy you asshole, and screw you I can just sneak out"
"I'll lock your door"
"I can go out the window"
"you're room is upstairs"
"I have my ways, Sam"
"THAT'S IT!! Y/n, I'm tired of you acting like just because you're our sister you can get away with the shit you're doing!" Sam says as he wipes his face with his hands
"That's not-"
" No! I don't want to do this but Dean, you think we should send her to Jody's for a few days?"
"WHAT?" You say in a piercing, sinister scream enough to make Dean stop the car and look back at you
"I am NOT going to Jody's! You can't make me, Sam!"
"If you don't want to go to Jody's, then all this attitude of yours has gotta stop, okay?"
You three finally are at the bunker and you get out of the Impala before it fully stops and head inside and ran up to your room. You stayed in there for a good two hours cleaning up, but its because you wanted to, not because of Sam and Dean. It's 7:25 pm when you heard Dean call your name, reluctantly, you did as told. "Me and Sammy are going on a hunt, you need anything while we're out?"
All you did was look down and shake your head no and walk back to your room. no "Ill miss you two" or "Be safe, call me and ill be there," just....silence, and honestly Dean didn't know if he should be nervous or not.
You turned your phone off because honestly, you didn't want to be bothered by anyone, all by yourself with your thoughts. 'Wow I'm such a disappointment to them' 'Im such an awful sister, they want to send me away to Jody' 'God why can't I just do shit right for once?"
They left a note on the kitchen counter saying they will be back by later tonight so you thought of making them some pie, Karjalanpiirakka. Karelian Pie that Claire taught you how to make a couple of years ago
When it was finished you decided to clean up the kitchen, library and living room while you still had the time by yourself. When you were done, saying you were happy for yourself is an understatement, you were damn proud! It was 2 am by the time you settled down and watched Spiderman-Homecoming on the big tv screen.
About an hour later Sam and Dean enter the bunker and looked honest to god shocked on how clean it was.
"Sammy? Do you see this shit? Are we high?" 'Yeah I see it, you think she's okay?"
They see you sleeping on the couch, sitting up and Sam walks up to you and wakes you up, he says "Why don't you sleep on your own bed bugaboo, it's more comfortable there" "Its alright Sammy, I was trying to stay awake for when you two came back home to make sure you two were alright"
A smile was dragged across Sam's face when you said that, he like this, he liked this y/n, the y/n you used to be before all...this happened
You walked over to Dean and asked if he was okay and he said only a few manageable cuts. you nodded and walked to your room to sleep.
When you left Sam said to Dean "You think that Jody trick worked?" "That was a trick?" "Of course it was Dean, I know she loves Jody but even if she doesn't like being away from us for that long" "well I guess we'll see tomorrow."
When you woke up you ran downstairs to see your brothers in the kitchen, Sam making breakfast and Dean at the kitchen table talking to Sam. Sam notices you and smiles, "Mornin Sunshine. since you're still grounded you're getting waffles instead of pancakes." You look at him for a second and start to laugh. He looks at Dean, then back to you, "What?" "That's the best you got? pfft come on Sammy you can discipline me harder" you say during laughing fits. "Okay then, no breakfast?" "That's more like it"
You start to walk to your room when you turn around and asked Sam "Hey Sam?" "Yeah?" "I-" You realize if you asked him, you would cry in front of him, and you don't want that. "I- Nevermind its nothing. I'll be in the training room if you two need me" You turn around to walk into the training room and start working out. an hour and thirty minutes later you turn around to see Sam with his arms folded leaning on the door frame
"Oh, hey," you say out of breath
"Hey yourself. What were you wanting to say to me a while ago?" You looked a bit shaken up but you let out an "Its nothing I said, don't worry 'bout it." Sam looks a little bit worried but with everything that's going on with you, he needs you to talk. "Come on bugaboo, let's talk and Dean doesn't have to know unless you want him to" "Sam its nothing okay? Drop it" "y/n-" "Sam, dammit I said I don't want to talk" Sam jumped at the sudden snap of your voice. "I'll be in the library if you want to talk"
You're in your room doing fuck all since Dean took your phone and your tv when you hear a knock on your door.
"Its Dean can I come in?" "......Yeah"
Dean comes in and sees you laying down on the floor with red eyes.
"Talk to me, why did you go all 'hulk' on Sammy?"
"No, I don't want to"
"Sucks to be you, Princess, you don't have a choice"
"The hell I don't" you sit up and turn to him "You can't make me Dean"
"The hell I cant" mocking you "I'm not leaving till you decide to make this into a chick flick moment"
"I thought you hate chick flick moments"
"Yeah I do, now talk y/n"
"Dean I cant"
"What do you mean you cant?"
"Dean I-, I just cant"
"So you want Sam to take you to Jody's and keep you there?"
".....No"
"Then talk princess"
You high in defeat "It's complicated"
"Well you better find the right words hon, or its gonna be a long night"
Dean walks away and you feel like you just left earths void.
Dinner was grossly quiet, and you knew it was because of you. After dinner, Sam and Dean left to go to the library to read up on some lore and thirty minutes later you walk up to the library door frame and just stood there for a solid minute and they didn't notice you. "Hey." They jump at your voice and look at you "Hey y/n" they both said in unison. "I just wanna say sorry for the way I've been acting lately. I've been a total dick towards you guys when I know you two are just looking out for me. I bet I was hell to raise and pulling this shit is just adding more stress to you guys"
They both had a face of both shock and...relief?
"Y/n, come here," Sam says. You hesitate but you do so anyway "You have no idea how happy I am that you said that" He gives you a big moose hug and you hugged him back. "And yes you were absolute hell to raise" "Dean!" "What? She said it not me" You laugh and let go of Sam to hug Dean. "Sammy?" "Yes?" "No Jody's?" "No Jody's" you right in relief. "Not unless you start acting like miss priss again" You fastly stare at Dean "Call me that again and I'll show you a miss priss" Sam and Dean both laugh. "Am I still grounded?" Sam laughs and says "You got suspended of course you are" You frown and that's when Sam said "Two weeks." You turn to see him and smiled brightly. You start walking away when you say "God I love you boys" under your breath, but nevertheless they heard you and you know they'll be teasing you about it for weeks

“Knock me down 9 times, but I get up 10.” -Cardi B
Cliff-Simon Vital. 20. SUNY Oswego Senior.
HoOz- What was your most memorable childhood experience?
Cliff- I would have to say the day before I came to America. So what a lot of people don’t know, or I don’t advertise it a lot, but I come from Haiti which is a small country in the Caribbean. The night before I came to America, my aunt who took care of me when I lived in Haiti, threw this big going away party for me. It meant a lot because we struggled, so I knew she didn’t have the money for it but she threw me a party anyway. I had a giant cake, I had this huge lollipop. It was one of the rainbow lollipops that has swirls. Any time that I think back about my transition here, or when I’m sad and I’m trying to think of happier thoughts, I just go back to that memory of her giving me this huge lollipop because we went to the market one day, and I saw it there and I really wanted it but it was very pricey and we had to buy other things because, you know, money doesn’t grow on trees. She knew that I wanted it and she bought it for me and it just meant a lot. So that’s probably my most sacred childhood memory. The flights that I was on to come from Port-au-Prince to Florida was the worst flight I’ve ever taken in my life. There was so much turbulence, and the entire time I was clinging onto the lollipop. Hard times. So I always go back to that memory of her giving me that lollipop, throwing me the party, and just having fun.
HoOz- Can you tell me what your childhood was like in Haiti?
Cliff- Here’s a little backstory for everyone that’s going to read this or just to connect the dots. I was born in Long Island. I was born in Mineola and when I was three years old, around this time actually, so when I was about to turn three I was sent to Haiti to live with my aunt because my mom just couldn’t raise me. At that time it wasn’t financially good. So she sent me to Haiti and I lived with my aunt for a couple of years. My mom was getting her education, she was also relatively new to America, so she had to transition herself and raising a child at the same time for her was just not convenient. So she sent me to live with people who could take care of me, who were more better off. I lived in Haiti for a couple of years and I came here when I was about ten years old. Between that time, I had to go back to Haiti a couple times just to figure out the whole immigration stuff. I couldn’t stay in this country for so long because of how the laws were back then. So I had to keep going back and forth. My first full year in America was when I was like twelve if I remember correctly. So I lived there for a while. I don’t have a lot of memories other than the really good ones and the really bad ones. I know that I woke up every day around 6:00 am, got dressed, and went to school. My uncle picked me up from school and then we drove back home, I did my homework, and then I watched TV, and then I went to bed, and repeat. When I lived with my aunt, she lived in like a mountainous area, so it was away from the city, away from people. It’s like upstate New York. It was more isolated, so I had a really boring childhood. I didn’t have sleepovers, I didn’t ride bikes, I didn’t fly kites. I went to school, did my work, and came back home. I think that’s why I’m so structured now because I’ve always lived that structured life. That’s also why I don’t know how to dress because I wore uniform my entire life. Since like pre-k I was wearing a uniform. So.. it wasn’t bad. There are more good memories than bad memories. I was also raised with family, so there was always another guy or girl in the house. So who I thought were my siblings for a while, but I realized were my cousins, I had an older guy cousin and an older female cousin. I was the youngest, I was treated like the youngest, more attention was sent to me, my birthday presents were more elaborate. But I never go special treatment, I still had chores, I still had to get good grades. I lived how any other kid lived, full of innocence and not aware of what’s going on around them. Just doing what they’re told.
HoOz- When you finally came to America for good, how was the transition for you?
Cliff- Oh my. So when I left Haiti I knew two languages, French and Haitian Creole. When I came to America people did not speak French or Haitian Creole. So that was my number one struggle. Oh man did I struggle. Second or third grade, I was bullied a lot. I went to a Catholic school, and nothing against Catholic schools, but I was one of two black people there. I know Catholic schools are more diverse now, but back then it wasn’t, and back then I was this kid who was black and came from an international country that’s known for being poor. When I came to America my mom graduated with her RN, she was well off this time. She had money, enough to send me to a private Catholic school, so I was living life, but in school, I was not. I had to go to extra classes. During my normal 9:00 to 3:00 schedule, around 11:00 or 12:00 I would have to go to ESL class. Back then it was called English as a second language. I think it’s called ESOL now but it’s definitely advanced since then. That professor helped me learn English. I remember always having to defend myself about why I had to leave math class. I remember that sometimes when people had recess I would have to stay inside and do more English work. I think it was actually sixth grade where I stopped ESL, I was speaking more proficiently, but that’s because school didn’t end for me when I went home or when class was over. I got home, I ate, I did my chores, and then I did either homework or I was watching TV. On those days that I had no homework, I was watching PBS Kids stuff where they taught you English in the morning, or more English specific TV shows. I was forced to watch those shows for a while until I passed this specialized English test at the end of the year. So seventh grade was my first normal like “hey I’m a kid. I’m gonna watch Codename: Kids Next Door and hang out with friends.” I lived in Rockaway Beach, and the beach was two minutes from my house, we had parks every couple of blocks. There were things to do as a kid there but I was never able to that because if I wasn’t helping to raise my siblings, I was studying for the English proficiency exam. I eventually transferred schools in fourth grade because the bullying was ridiculous. When I moved from one school to another, the bullying didn’t stop. I was made fun of in class and it didn’t help that the professors were also making fun. Yes, usually teachers are supposed to be helping or guiding or whatever but some of the teachers weren’t supportive. It wasn’t until I got to fifth grade, my teacher backed me up and yelled at the kids who were making fun of me. I’m not gonna @ any names but this kid, and I still remember his name because you always remember the name of your first bully, threw me in the coat closet and then put the broom in the door so I couldn’t get out. It was right before lunchtime, so I was in there crying for forty minutes. When my professor found me, she made a big deal. She was a little Irish white lady screaming her head off, the principal came into the room, I’m sobbing. I was also bleeding because I hit my head on one of the coat hooks. It was a big deal. My mom called, she was screaming, she was threatening to sue the parents about the kid. It was this big thing. The kid got kicked out of school for bullying. That’s just one of the worst examples I could think of about how my transition from Haiti to America was, being in the American school system where the only support you had was your ESL class. Yes, I had two hours of ESL where I learned the language and stuff but I was thrown into those classes and I just had to swim. I was thrown into the pool and told to swim. Imagine not knowing what the teacher is saying sitting in class all day long for like two years. That was me until I really was like I don’t understand. My mom was like we’re gonna put you in this ESL class, we’re gonna go to the library, we’re gonna do all these things to make sure you’re caught up. My siblings who were growing up with me, my younger ones, didn’t have to face all that because they were born in America, raised in America. I was born there, raised here, and when I came back I had to transition all over again. So it was hard. It’s crazy. It’s a lot.
HoOz- Let’s fast forward a little bit. You’re now in college and flourishing, and you’re the president of the Pre-Health Care club. Can you tell me a little bit about how you got involved in that?
Cliff- So, funny story. I was never really the big pre-med person that I came in as. In high school, I was involved in like health care specific organizations but that didn’t really go anywhere once I came to college. I came to college and there were a couple of changes with my major the first year, but as a first-year student I was a Biochemistry major and my goal was to be an OBGYN working in the intensive care unit. Then Organic Chemistry happened, but whatever. I got involved with the Pre-Health Care club as a freshman when the current president Ian Thompson told me about it, and I was like this is a great organization, it’s gonna help me get to where I want to go, and I just joined like anyone else would join. I went to the involvement fair and that’s when they told me about it, I went to their meetings, and now I’m president. So it’s been a journey.
HoOz- What do you hope to accomplish with the club as president this year?
Cliff- This is actually my second year as president, and usually your first term is where you make all of your mistakes. So this semester, it’s been very helpful to know what didn’t work last year in my presidency. What we do for Pre-Health is we bring in medical professionals to come in and speak to the club members and tell them about what they do, how they got to where they are, any advice that they would have wanted to know when they were in our shoes. My first year as president we had a lot of issues with booking speakers. That’s all we did was bring in speakers and we teach through them. Last year it was very hard to get speakers because me being the president, I didn’t really know what I was doing in a sense, but this year we’ve been killing it. We have speakers every single week. We’ve only had to cancel once this semester. Last year I think we canceled five out of ten times, this semester we canceled once just because the speaker was having family issues and couldn’t come in which was understandable. But we have speakers lined up every week to come in and it’s been great. People are enjoying it, I’m seeing a lot of recurring people so people are staying. I get emails every week on LakerLife, “hi I want to join the organization,” and I add them to the email list. So it’s working well. I want to evolve Pre-Health. We were founded in 2011. In 2013 we got our footing in. Like I said I was a member, I was treasurer at one point, vice president at one point, and now president for the past two years. We’ve only been doing speakers. This semester, I’m really excited to announce that we’re using the money that we get from SA to fund group trips. So November 10th, we’re bringing about ten people to Temple University, which is known for their Podiatry School but they also have other programs that our club members are interested in. So we’re gonna go to their open house in Pennsylvania. We have an Airbnb, we’re gonna buy groceries to cook, and it’s gonna be a really fun time. We’re also going to The Mütter Museum that has all these failed experiments and body parts that people have donated to science. It’s gonna be really exciting. We’re also planning an Upstate trip the week after that. So we’re gonna go to Upstate Medical and have a tour and participate in their open house day. Me being president this year we’re trying to do more. We’re trying to evolve to not only do guest speakers but to have events. At one point I want to advertise Pre-Health to the public. I want to table or do a fundraiser or something. I want to give the organization to the next president a bit more developed than it was when I got it. I don’t want them to only be doing guest speakers. So that’s my plan.
HoOz- If you could tell your future self one thing, what would it be?
Cliff- Wow this is a tricky question, it’s always been like your past self. I guess if I could talk to my future self right now, I don’t know what I would tell them, I would ask them. I would tell them to keep pushing. Keep thriving. What I’m currently going through right now, all the stress, all the homework, all the papers, all the on calls, I hope it was all worth it. So just keep pushing, keep thriving, keep surrounding yourself with the people you love, and just keep moving. We’re going through all these hurdles so we can make the end goal of being happy, being successful, being financially stable, so just keep going. There are a lot of times where it’s just like I’m just gonna give up, I’m just gonna quit this, I don’t wanna do this anymore, I don’t have to deal with the stress, if I quit right now I won’t have to deal with this. I don’t obviously because being a student leader you can’t just quit. I think I would just tell him to keep going because you’ve done it already. You’ve jumped through all these hoops because if you don’t keep moving then you’re gonna be stuck in the past, and if I’m talking to my future self then they already got through the things I’ve gone through.

Captain Falcon: The First Peacekeeper (Part 2) Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Mystery of the Half Demon (Disclaimer! I own nothing of Nintendo or Inuyasha except for the original characters!)
(A year after the events of The First Peacekeeper, a new government decides that enough is enough. Their leader creates a new law that super powered half humans, will no longer continue acts of heroism and will only act when called on. This rule divides the team of heroes right down the middle. Meanwhile Nicholas meets a new friend who happens to be a half demon, and wants to do what he can to help her, even if it means he has to turn against his own friends. Who's side are you on? Read and decide!) I was doing my usual laps around the Seattle square to warm up. I do this every day to lose weight because I feel like I’m getting fat. Someone was running right by me and got past me. “On your left,” she said. It was Colleen. I made it to a library and Colleen was there as well. “On your left,” she said. “Yeah,” I said, “Got it, on my left.” She came near me again. “Don’t say it,” I said, “Don’t you say it….” “On your left,” she said. “Come on!!” I said. I was getting tired and decided to rest. “Break time,” I said. Colleen stopped where I was. “I see you’ve been overworking yourself again,” she said as she giggled. She layed by me. “Its been years since we got to hang out ever since… you know,” she said. “I know right,” I said, “But duty calls and we gotta do what we gotta do.” “Good point,” said Colleen. I was thinking about all the memories I had with my friends. “So what do you do for a living?” she asked. “I decided to go into the bounty hunter business,” I said, “I hunt down criminals and sometimes fight them for money.” “I actually ran into one during one of our missions,” she said. “That so?” I asked. “Her name’s Samus Aran,” said Colleen, “And she is no joke when it comes to bounty hunters.” “Well hopefully I don’t run into her,” I said jokingly as she laughed. “Thank God for you Colleen,” I said, “You’re the only family I have left.” “No problem,” said Colleen, “Someone had to stay with you.” I got a message from Luna. “Mission alert. Meet at GSI to discuss.” “Well, duty calls,” I said, “Looks like they might have finally found the guy I was looking for.” “Good luck with that,” said Colleen, “I still gotta do some more laps.” I ran off to GSI to discuss with Luna. “So it looks like those punks are hiding in this location,” said Luna, “If we send you down there to interrogate them we might be able to find Monty Mole.” “So what gear do I have?” I asked, “You’re always making new stuff.” “Glad you asked, you’re gonna love this,” said Luna. She gave me some kind of thing. “What’s this?” I asked. “See those red buttons?” asked Luna, “Press them.” I did what she asked and suddenly two blades came out of them. “Radical!” I said. “It’s a double bladed beam sword,” said Luna, “One of a kind.” “So when do we start?” I asked. Later I was on a plane heading to their hideout. I said. I transformed into Power Man and grabbed my beam sword. “How’s it looking?” I asked. “The thermal scans are showing hostiles on the third floor,” said Luna, “There’s a lot of them, so why don’t I drop you off down a floor?” “Ah, the element of surprise,” I said, “Good Idea.” The plane came close to the floor and u jumped through the window. It was the Spiny Shell gang lead by the infamous Monty Mole. “Alright boys, its time we put an end to Power Man once and for all,” said Monty, “You are equipped with the greatest weapons we’ve got. Your task; use them to waste him.” I was down at the bottom floor. I attached a bob-omb to the ceiling. It ticked down and exploded and I jumped into the fray. “Its Power Man!” said Monty Mole, “Waste him!” They tried shooting me but the armor was too strong for the bullets to impact. “Now that’s rude,” I said. They sprang at me and I started fighting them. I may have gotten old but I still got it. Hell I’m still 23 years old. “Get the beam swords!” said Monty. I got out my beam sword as well and fought them. I remembered the techniques Link gave me about the sword and used them to my advantage. Soon most of them were stunned. “Stand back men, I’ll deal with this boy myself,” said Monty, “I’ve studied the art of swordplay.” “Bring it on old man,” I said, “My blade has double the blade as yours.” “Bullshit,” said Monty. A beam appeared on the other side of my sword. “No shit!” I said. We clashed at each other and engaged in combat. He used all his techniques he learned to block each move. He kicked me and I fell but quickly got back up. I spun my sword around and hit him with the metal part of my blade. He managed to stab my metal arm and I screamed in pain. I jumped up and attacked and he blocked it again. Someone shot a stun shot at Monty Mole and he fell to the ground. “What the….” I said. It was Samus Aran, another bounty hunter. “You’re welcome,” she said. “I had that covered,” I said. “Yeah I know but, the hell you did,” said Samus, “Looks like your job’s taken care of.” She gave me some of the sharing’s of the money. “Your days are coming to an end,” said Monty Mole, “The half-demon will rise and destroy you.” “Who is this half demon?” I asked. “No one knows,” he said, “All I know is that your days on this world are numbered when he finds you.” “Not this time,” I said. “Come on Nick, let’s go,” said Luna. “I’m getting slow at my age,” I said, “But at least my arm’s doing ok.” “You’re lucky it didn’t break otherwise I’d kill you,” said Luna. “Yeah, yeah,” I said. As I powered down I saw Colleen. “You’re lucky I recognized you,” she said, “Looks like the jobs already done.” “Yeah, sorry you missed the ass-kicking,” I said as I laughed. Later we were at the convenience store buying some things. I saw the girl again at the stand. She had a black jacket and purple t-shirt, and long purple and red hair and freckles. When she wasn’t looking I managed to get a picture of her. “Gosh she’s cute,” I said, “Luckily I got this picture without anyone looking.” “You do know I’m right by you right?” asked Colleen. I looked and freaked out. “What the hell?!” I said. She laughed and said, “Sorry I had to do that. So who’s that?” “This girl I saw,” I said. She grinned at me. “What?” I asked. “You like her don’t you Nicholas?” she asked as we left. “Yes,” I said giving in. “Like a fish caught in the mouth I figured you out,” she said poking my forehead. “That obvious huh?” I asked. “I’ve watched anime,” said Colleen, “I know how things work when someone takes a secret picture.” “Please don’t mention this to anyone,” I said. Who was I kidding? I was the only guy in Seattle, and all my friends moved out. Colleen was the only one who stayed with me. Luna was walking around town when she heard punching noises. She decided to go check them out. She saw some people getting seriously hurt. She then saw a man with white hair fighting them with a sword. “Who is that?” she asked. After the fight was over he left some kind of symbol. Luna took a picture of it. “This symbol…. It means something,” she said, “I have to tell the others.”

In Real Life
Request:
Warnings: None!!
Pairing: Reader x Peter Parker
Genre: Fluff ~
Word Count: 2.7k holy moly
A/N: I'm so sorry this took like a million years but I hope you like it :D I'm thinking of making a part 2 so let me know what you guys think!! Also I didn’t get around to proofreading so if you see mistakes PLEASE let me know xx
Ever since middle school you had been watching your friends find dates and get into relationships. They teased you about being a third wheel sometimes, but you didn't mind. You did feel lonely once in a while without someone there to hold you, but you didn't feel that way very often. Even though technically you weren't dating anyone in real life, there was a boy thousands of miles away that had your heart. He was constantly texting, snapchatting, and even video calling you to the point where he knew more about you than your friends in real life did. You had the biggest crush on him and wished more than anything that you could see him in person one day.
You met Peter online, seeing his nerdy blog recommended for you and deciding to follow him. For a few days you just kind of liked each other's posts occasionally and that was it. That was up until you saw his post about the Avengers. Being a big fan of them, you built up the courage to shoot him a message and you two immediately hit it off. Peter knew a lot about all of the superheroes you idolized, which gave you plenty to talk about. As it turned out, Peter actually worked for Tony Stark. You almost didn't believe him, but the things he knew and said would have been impossible to make up.
Over time you and Peter got to be a lot closer. Even though you had never actually talked to him in person you felt as if he was your best friend in the whole world. Your feelings for him grew even more than that though and you eventually wound up being in a relationship. Peter actually asked you out during one of your traditional all-night Skype calls.
"I've got something I have to ask you," he said as he slid into frame on his rolling chair. He had his wireless headphones on underneath his hoodie and was busy trying to get his mic in the right place. He had a lot of nerdy technology stuff and was always finding new electronics to play with.
"Sure what's up?" you asked. You turned up the volume a little bit, butterflies filling your stomach. That happened a lot when Peter talked to you. Even though you loved seeing him and hearing his voice, you still preferred texting since he couldn't see the way that the things he did affected you. Luckily the lighting in your room was bad so he couldn't tell if you were blushing.
"Ok so," he said, letting out a long breath. "We've been talking for a while and uh... It's sorta weird isn't it? That we've never met? I mean I don't think that it is... Unless you do."
"I don't think it's weird at all," you replied. He nodded, his mouth curling up at the sides. He had a habit of hiding his smiles like that but you didn't really know why since his smile always made your day.
"How do you feel about trying a long distance relationships?" he asked suddenly, hiding his face from the camera by leaning over slightly. You were a little taken aback. Sure, you had been crushing on him but a confession like that was the last thing you were expecting.
"I-I think it's worth a shot," you said. "I mean, we talk more than a lot of the couples that I know... Besides, maybe we can finally meet soon."
"Wait, seriously?" he exclaimed, getting super close to the camera. You laughed and nodded.
"Let's do it!" you said. He grinned, unable to disguise the pure joy on his face. And that was that. You and Peter cared for each other so much that the distance didn't even matter. You started to forget that it was even strange to date someone online. Every time your phone went off your heart sped up since there was a high chance it was going to be Peter. Some nights you even cancelled your plans with friends just to call him.
Two years passed, and you were still going strong. One day after school you logged onto your computer to see if Peter was online when you noticed that you had a new email. You almost screamed when you read that it was from Stark Enterprises. Apparently there was a youth convention thing being held in New York and you had been selected to go. You reread the email at least 50 times before your parents got home and you practically recited the entire thing from memory as you begged them to let you go. It had always been a dream of yours to work for Tony Stark since you were really interested in science and, let's face it, you thought Iron Man was awesome. You were super jealous of Peter and his internship. Realization hit you like a truck as you were in the middle of guilt tripping your parents into letting you go.
"Oh my god!" you exclaimed. "If it's in New York then that means... I could finally meet Peter!" Your mom and dad knew about your online relationship and although they were skeptical at first they ended up really liking Peter. You had let them talk to him a bit one day when he was on Skype and he made such a great impression that they absolutely loved him.
"I don't think there's any harm in letting you go," your mom finally said, giving in. "You did say that the airfare is payed for, right?"
"Yes!" you said quickly. "I just need food money and that's it."
"Alright, fine," your dad agreed and just like that you were going to New York. After some careful consideration you decided not to tell Peter right away. There was a part of you that was afraid of meeting him because you were scared that he wouldn't like you as much in real life. It was ridiculous since you'd been talking for so long, but you couldn't help but feel nervous. As the days went by and the trip got closer you felt more and more anxious.
When it was finally time to leave, you headed off to the airport by yourself. Your knees trembled as you entered the terminal and you spent the whole flight thinking about Peter. You tried to snap out of it since the real reason you were there was for the youth convention, but he was really the only thing on your mind. The two of you had talked many times about how great it would be when you met and you were just so terrified of letting him down.
After landing you hung around the airport for a while trying to figure out your next move. You decided to text Peter and try to catch up with him since you didn't have to go to Stark Tower until the next morning.
Heyo, what are you doing right now
He read it right away, the three dots that showed he was typing popping up.
Parker 💘: I'm doing some homework at that sandwich shop I talk about all the time. Sorry I can't call tonight, I gotta study
You grinned despite yourself. Peter talked about Mr. Delmar's shop constantly and had described it to you a million times. You flagged down a taxi and told them to take you there right away. Sure enough, when you arrived it looked exactly the way you had pictured it. You checked how you looked in your phone camera, fixing your hair a little before going inside. It smelled absolutely delicious, and you quickly scanned the small restaurant for Peter. Your heart fell when you didn't see anyone you recognized.
"Um hi," you said to the man working, thinking that as long as you were there you might as well get something to eat. "Can I have the number 5? With extra pickles?"
"Absolutely," he said with a friendly smile. He must have been Mr. Delmar.
"I have a question," you said timidly. "You wouldn't happen to have seen Peter Parker around recently, have you?" He looked at you for a moment before shaking his head.
"No, I haven't seen Peter in a few days," he replied. "Why? Do you know him?"
"Yeah I do," you said, blushing. "We... We're really close uh... friends."
"Ah, you his date?" he asked with a wink. "Pete's a good kid but if you ask me you're a little out of his league. He's a bit of a brat." You laughed as he handed you your sandwich.
"Good luck tracking him down," he said and waved as you left. You stood out on the street eating your food for a while, wondering why Peter had lied to you about where he was. Curious, you texted him again. It was just a short 'wyd?' but you felt weird about it. Maybe you seemed a little clingy but all you wanted was to see him. It took him a few minutes to respond, but when he did you were ready to read it right away.
Parker 💘: I'm at the library doing some work. Now's not a good time, sorry
You frowned, disappointment washing over you. He must have been really busy. You shoved your phone in your pocket and headed to your hotel, giving up on Peter for the time being.
The next morning you woke up early since you couldn't sleep. The excitement for the convention had kept you awake for a long time and you were really looking forward to the day. You got ready quickly and hopped into another cab to Stark Tower. When you arrived, there were loads of other kids your age funneling into a large lecture hall. You followed the crowd, finding a seat towards the back. After everyone had arrived and settled in a hush fell over the crowd. You looked up to see Tony Stark himself standing in the front. Forgetting everything about your troubles with Peter, you listened intently for the duration of the presentation.
Towards the end Tony had left and another guy was talking for a while. You saw your phone light up from inside your bag and against your better judgment you checked it to find a message from Peter.
Parker 💘: Hey! Tony's busy rn and I'm just waiting in the tower, do you want to call me?
You sucked in a breath, your heart pounding. Peter was here. You typed a response as best as you could with your shaking hands.
Where are you waiting?
Parker 💘: Um in a room in the west corridor. Why?
You didn't bother answering before stuffing your phone in your bag and rushing towards the door. A man was blocking the door since he must have been a security guard.
"I... I think I'm gonna puke," you lied. He wrinkled his nose but let you pass, and you practically ran through the door. It dawned on you that you had absolutely no idea where the west corridor was, so you just started wandering around. You walked all over the first floor but found nothing, so you climbed up a flight of stairs. You were almost to the top when you stopped dead. Tony Stark was standing before you and he looked very intimidating.
"Excuse me, kiddo. I don't think this is where you're supposed to be," he said. You were so shocked that you could only stare with your mouth open. You couldn't believe you were being scolded by your biggest inspiration.
"I-I'm sorry," you stammered. "I was just l-looking for somebody-"
"There's someone else walking aimlessly around here?" he asked. "We can't have that, there's a lot of top secret stuff up here. We should go find them, do you know where they went?"
"No!" you said, panicking. "He... He works for you. He's my friend, I just wanted to see him." Tony considered this for a moment. He looked you up and down, his expression unreadable.
"Your friend..." he said as he turned away from you. "You said he works for me?"
"Yes! Yes, he told me he's part of an internship program here. He said he was waiting to talk to you about something and I thought that since I was here I'd try to go and see him. Of course I didn't really think that through because, as you said, there's a lot of top secret stuff and I shouldn't be-"
"Alright kid that's enough," Tony cut you off. You didn't realize you had been babbling so much and felt your face flush. He faced you again and you were surprised to see he was smiling.
"I think I know who you're talking about," he said. "Thanks for reminding me that I need to talk to him. Here, I'll lead you there if you swear not to walk around here by yourself again."
"I promise!" you exclaimed. He chuckled and started walking with you jogging behind him to keep up. It turned out you were going in the right direction and eventually you stopped in front of what appeared to be a break room of sorts. You stood shyly behind Tony, your nerves getting to you.
"Hey!" he said loudly to someone inside the room. "We need to talk. Before that though I ran into someone who I think you know." He moved over slightly so that you could see. There, sitting on the couch with his feet on the table was Peter. He was even more handsome than you thought he'd be. He wore his t-shirt with a joke about telekinesis that you loved so much along with a big flannel. He stood up when he saw you, knocking over the pile of books that sat on the table.
"Y/N?" he asked, his eyes wide. He was taller than you thought, with wider shoulders as well. One strand of his hair was loose and sat limply on his forehead. You felt your eyes begin to water and you nodded slowly. You looked away, feeling like you could burst into tears at any moment. A few seconds later you were being enveloped by his arms. You pressed your head against him and hugged him back, squeezing him gently. You had waited so long to feel his touch and you were scared that if you let go you'd never get it back. He pulled back a little, his arms moving around your waist.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. You looked up at him, trying to memorize the exact colors in his eyes and the freckles on his face.
"I... I was chosen for the youth convention and since it was in New York I came to see you," you told him. He was smiling from ear to ear and seeing him so happy made you even more emotional.
"You're so much more beautiful in person," he whispered as he pulled you in for another hug. You laughed, sniffing a little.
"Peter, I've been waiting for so long to meet you and I just..." You trailed off when he kissed your forehead, your breath hitching. He moved closer towards your lips and it was like everything was moving in slow motion.
You jumped suddenly when Tony cleared his throat from behind you, stumbling back a little.
"Oh crap, uh... sorry Mr. Stark," Peter said awkwardly. You were both suddenly very aware of his presence in the room and you quickly backed away from Peter feeling very embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'm only a little weirded out," he said. "Listen, I'm gonna go since I have a lot of stuff to do. Find me later or just call Happy, ok?"
"Y-yeah alright," Peter replied. "But what if Happy doesn't pick up?"
"I think you'll be a little preoccupied anyway," Tony said with a nod in your direction, causing your face to turn bright red. He smiled and walked away, leaving the two of you alone.
"I've looked up to him for so long and I admire him a lot, but I don't think I could have waited another second for him to leave," you said with a giggle.
"Well, we've waited this long, haven't we?"

Session 2
Before I begin talking about what happened in Therapy, can I just say how relieved, and am low-key/sorta glad, that I actually managed to get a good night’s sleep last night? I actually fucking managed to go to bed early, get 8 hours of sleep, and woke up around 6 AM without feeling like I was gonna pass out from sleep-deprivation (Yess! Take that insomnia)! >:D
Yesterday, as well as last Saturday (and even the earlier part of Today), were actually some pretty good days for me; These last couple of weekends Me and mom have been going to church for the last couple of Sundays around 6AM (most would be surprised with me being semi-religious/agnostic, but it was nice actually, calming even....) and closely afterwards we’ve been trying to make a habit of walking to our local library that’s close by (where there also happens to be a local duck pond in conjunction with said library). And Yesterday, on our way back from church, we even managed to help save this poor kitty (that had it’s head stuck in a jar).
So yeah, woke up around 6 AM in the morn today, and took a walk with my mom to our local library. It was nice (soothing even) just walking around in the crisp cold fresh morning breeze, and looking at the reflection of the pond whilst taking in the local wildlife: ducks obviously, a couple of squirrels, robins, crows, hell we even saw a fish (Salmon I think) jump and flop back into the water like twice, as well as saw a falcon on the rooftop of the library at one point too. It was nice, seeing these animals just go about their business, frolicking and whatnot. It made me smile. :)
We’re trying to make this a habit of sorts, (this the third time/third weekend now that we’ve done this, so far so good right) in order to help me get used to getting out of the house more often and make a ritual of getting some low-key exercise along the way.....Umm, does walking for half an hour or even an entire hour count as exercise?. lol ^^;
Anyways, I’ve also managed to accompany my parents to the grocery store during these last past couple of weekends aswell; and yesterday, I even plucked up the courage to go with them to Lowes and helped my folks pick out and buy a new washing-machine (the last one we had, has been on it’s last/final legs for like effing years now, so this was def. a long time coming).
Hell, today, I even managed to get some spring-cleaning done and dusted the crap outta my room and living room (haven’t dusted my damn room in ages, so it’s been a long time coming) and I’m not gonna lie, but it feels so much nicer/cleaner/fresh now that it’s not soo goddamn dusty, it’s nice. ^^;
And tbh all things considered, doing all of this as of late (even if it may seem miniscule to everyone else) has all really made me feel somewhat productive, and I think that it’s helping me a lot.
But anyways, back to the actual therapy session itself...
May 22, 2017
So, Second day of Therapy today...
And well, shit.... I mean knew it was gonna happen eventually (and here’s me thinking it was gonna take like ages for this to happen cause, if there’s one thing I really hate and can’t stand: it’s me crying in front of people, especially people I know or am emotionally attached to; it makes me feel soo fucking vulnerable, uncomfortable, exposed, and worst of all weak) but yeah, I didn’t actually think I was gonna cry this early on in our sessions (I mean we just barely got started). >_>;
...At first, My therapist just asked me how I was feeling and I told her that I was feeling nervous, nervous that during this session, we were actually gonna start digging into deeper, more emotional stuff, than the simple mere evaluation she did during our first initial session. and that’s when we started to talk and go through basically a timeline of my entire life up to this point so to speak.
- Age 5-6: Emotionally (and sometimes physically abused) by my Aunt whom was living/sharing a household with me, my parents, her husband and son at the time, let’s call her “Aunt C”; I felt like I was living in a broken home, a household full of domestic fighting (screaming matches) between my poor victimised mom and my poor excuse of an aunt who was basically a control freak and snapped / flew off the handle at every little thing. My parents were always working hard trying to make ends meet, they weren’t intentionally neglecting me or anything like that, they are good decent people (we grew up poor), but they just never really had the luxury or time to be spending time with me let alone take care of me (and so left me in my Aunt’s care cause they had no choice and it was convenient). The fighting was so bad that at one point I remember being horrified and in a state of utter shock as my “Aunt C” held my mom up against the wall with her hand around her throat (the memory of My Aunt almost attempting to strangle my mother will forever be burned in my mind). My younger self took refuge at school, My therapist says that due to the fact that I didn’t feel safe (nor was I getting enough consistent: love, attention, etc), that I started to block out everything that was happening at home via focusing on my school life, and thereby using my teachers and friends as substitute parental figures and family respectfully, in order to fill the void of what lacked in my home-life (I’ve done this all the way up till high school, I always consider my teachers as parental figures, adults I could legit trust, and each group of friends as my second/replacement family of sorts)....My therapist ain’t wrong: That’s why I always loved going to school, why my friends were the bright lights in my life from elementary school all the way up till high-school, and why I felt so damn attached to my teachers growing up, even all the way up till I graduated from High-School, to me they were my heroes (and it’s the main reason I wanted to become a teacher myself growing up.......and why I personally took one of my Teacher’s/Mentor’s/Old Friend’s death/passing soo damn hard during the year 2011, well that, and because I was actually a close friend to them, as well).
But none of that made me cry what struck a nerve, what really effing struck a nerve was the fact that when I was a Junior during High School, my dad had heart surgery (I was around 16 at the time), and my dad needed my mom to stay close to him (cause he was really scared and felt helpless without her), and I ended up staying at my “Aunt C” and her family’s house for a while.... And see here’s the thing, Aunt C has a son (my cousin) and I remember him telling me that he felt like i bullied him when we were kids, and in my mind we were just rough-housing, messing around as kids do when they’re 5-6.....He was serious when he told me he felt like I bullied him, and I felt absolutely fucking disgusted with myself, like sick to my stomach disgusted with myself, because in my mind I resent being put in the same category as my Aunt C or even being compared to her; because I always and will forever visualize/connect bullying with abuse (that and I personally hate the idea of people hurting other people; this all thank’s to my Aunt C).....funny how things came back full circle huh?......But anyways, when my cousin told me this, I apologized, and sincerely too....it was a serious moment between the two of us (because my voice started to crack with emotion, from tearing up in front of him), he accepted my apology and we never spoke of the incident again.
When I was explaining all of this to my Therapist, I didn’t even realizing i started to cry (like the silent, suffer in silence type of crying too); what really made me cry harder and struck a nerve was that she told me (after me telling her that I wished I would have known better as kid) was that it wasn’t my fault, that I shouldn’t be blaming 5-6 year old me for something that I wasn’t even mature enough to truly comprehend in regards to my actions and their respective consequences/repercussions.....I thought that I already made my peace with all of this in the past.....but to be honest, I think that really I needed to hear that from my Therapist.
We talked a lot about other moments in my life as well, like when I was 7 years old, my parents had left me with my godparents for like a week, and this was during Summer Vacation mind you (cause they didn't want me near my Aunt C anymore, and they were scrambling, looking for another place to live); I felt abandoned, like my parents abandoned me; my silly 7 year old self couldn’t emotionally comprehend what was happening, and didn't realize that it was only a mere short week( but in my mind at the time, it felt like months)....That was the first time I ever had a panic attack, the night my parents left me with my godparents (my godparents are and were good people mind you, I just wasn’t close or didn;t really know them all too well at the time).
We also talked about My High school Graduation, and how I noted that i felt depressed, sad, alone, and how I felt somewhat distant/abandoned by my friends (which I obviously blamed myself for); and how afterwards Grad-Night (they still do these nowadays right?) first kicked off my insomnia. -___-;
And the fact that one of the reasons why I feel so anxious is the fact that I’m afraid of encountering or spontaneously meeting up with some of my old teachers or high school friends, She asked me why I felt like this; and I said it was mostly because, I was mostly known as the straight A student, a teacher’s pets; and that these people had high hopes for me, hell I had high hopes for me; and that I’m afraid of feeling their disappointment, anger, rejection, of the the fact that I wasted my life after high-school, that and well.......that I’m also ashamed that I cut them all out of my life after I fell into a deep deep depression and had a mental/nervous breakdown (after my Mentor/Teacher/Friend passed away, and me shortly after failing all of my college classes, and dropping out of community college). Because if there is one thing I value above all else: it’s Loyalty and Friendship (I also told her that i’ve always had trouble keeping friendships in the past due to my trust issues, that stem mostly from my abusement from my Aunt C...cause if you can’t even trust family, how can i trust anyone else; but trust me, I fight against that anxiety-filled reflex as hard as i can, in order to still continue to strive and open-up/connect with people, especially those i consider and am honored to call: friend).
But the second thing that made me cry was the fact that My Therapist told me that she thinks that I’m a really strong person for willing to try to come to therapy in order to get better, and that I still had my whole life ahead of me (I’m 25 mind you, am a college dropout, doesn’t know how to drive, still live with my folks who deserve a better daughter than me, never even had a job before and am housebound, and all of this makes me feel like a goddamn failure), and that it wasn’t too late......hearing someone else besides my parents tell me this, solidified the possibility of there being some actual truth to what she was saying, that there was actually hope, and that was what made me cry, because of nigh possibility that there was still fucking hope for me.....well, that and that it might not be too late for me to reconnect with some of my old high-school friends from the past, even if it’s been 8 years too late (this one still scares the crap out of me mostly for fear of confronting them, their rejection and disappointment, facing their anger, etc).
....After a while, she told me that I placed waaay too many high expectations of myself (am too damn hard on myself) and she told me, that, that is my anxiety talking not, me.
And that she was glad to hear that I started putting in the effort of me trying to voluntarily going with my parents to the grocery store during the weekends (these past three weekends), as well as that fact that me and my mom have been trying to go to church, and take walks near our local library (you know the one with the duck pond).
Feeling sorta drained right now, gonna try to head to bed at 10:30 or 11 PM, in order to wake up early again (really need and want to kick my insomnia’s ass)....I’m sure there are loads of stuff I forgot to mention, or that I accidently skipped...If remember, I’ll probably do another one of these blog posts, and call it: “Therapy Session 2 Part 2″ or something like that. heh xP

I did the laundry.
I am very excited to have my blanky back in action.
I was gonna use 3 washing machines (1 large one for bedding + a coat, 1 medium for most of my clothes, 1 small for lights/whites + underwear) so I put detergent in the machines before the clothes thinking I had my shit planned real well. I did not. All my clothes fit in the medium machine. So whoever use(s/d) that small one gets free (extra) detergent. I just hope there’s no allergy situation ;__; (to be fair, even an empty machine would have residual detergent so... Not Quite A Reasonable Anxiety To Have brain please calm down) I couldn’t exactly scoop the detergent out.
I had planned to read the whole time, but ended up goofing around taking some stupid selfies during the wash cycle.
I contemplated getting tacos. The Bell is right across the street. I did not go get tacos.
I hauled everything from the washers and into two big dryers and got them started on a 27-minute high-heat dry cycle. Then I did go get tacos. In pedestrian mode. I am horribly out of shape and I miss having the energy to exercise holy shit. They had a new $5 box - the Double Triple something something - that was a crunchwrap with TWO hard shell layers in it, plus a Doritos taco, plus a plain crunchy taco, plus the drink. I wasn’t especially hungry after the crunchwrap, but I ate all three. Mostly because hard tacos don’t reheat well, and I wasn’t about to let good good tacos go to waste.
I walked back and sat in my car to finally start reading the book I borrowed from the library. Yeah. I did not start the day I picked it up. I was reading aloud because my focus and energy were low. I also had my back windows rolled down a bit for cool air flow, and I was hyper aware of when people were coming and going next to my car. I didn’t make a whole lot of reading progress.
I contemplated going to Target, because I still have a gift card from my birthday, or maybe even Christmas, that I haven’t used. I did not go to Target.
I contemplated going to Game Stop, on the infinitesimal chance that they had a Switch in stock. I checked my laundry.
It was all done. Both probably could have gone for a bit longer - there were a few spots on the blankets that were a tiny bit damp still - but it was good enough for me. Usually I like to get everything folded before I head home. I didn’t have the energy to do that today. There was a group of people there with their kids and the constant moving, talking, giggling - it just completely drained my social spoons. I folded the bedding just so it would take up less space and be more manageable to move back to my car. Everything else went as-is into a laundry basket.
I stopped at Game Stop.
They did not have any Switch systems in stock.
They “should” get some “next week.” “Probably five.” “Delivery is between 10 AM and noon.” “It’s first come, first served.”
Fucking fuck you, Nintendo. Fuck you for this bullshit distribution that does nothing but hurt people who want your shit, and fuel greedy scalpers.
Casual reminder that the system retails for $299.99 NEW [X] but because of this fucked-to-hell distribution schedule, scalpers are out there buying up whole shipments and re-selling at huge mark-ups. All of the retailers are perpetually Sold Out and the only way to find a sale listing at all is through third-party (aka re-seller) listings.
Like on Amazon. [Gray] [Red/Blue]
The cheapest NEW Gray listing is $394. That’s a 31% mark-up. Because scalpers.
The cheapest NEW Red/Blue listing is $414.98. That’s a 38% mark-up. Because scalpers.
ANYWAY... that doesn’t even figure in the Breath of the Wild game which is in a similar but not quite as bad position RE: scalping re-sellers.
I took myself back home, which happened to overlap with the beginning of rush hour. Not ideal. Not fun. When I finally got within a mile of home, it was apparently Truck Party Time and the party location was BLOCKING HALF THE GODDAMN STREET BECAUSE FUCK DRIVEWAYS I GUESS. So I spent half the drive on the wrong side of the double-yellow lines because People With Trucks Are Too Good For Their Own Goddamn Driveways And Park In The Road Now.
Rather than getting inside as fast as possible, I fucked around tidying my car some more. Brushed out some sand and dirt from Jenny’s trunk space. Gave my sleeping bags a tiny fabric refresher bath. Put some trash together in one big bag instead of multiple smaller bags.
Then I finally wrestled my way inside with my two precariously-stacked laundry baskets. Got one downstairs - immediately needed to pee. My fooling around outside paid off here, because bro emerged from the bathroom right at that moment and while it was oppressively hot and steamy from his shower, I didn’t have to rupture my bladder waiting! AMAZING. I brought my other basket down after, and bro was on my tail. He bought more memory for his XBONE and showed it to me, which led right into him asking to get on to move/download a bunch of stuff. Which he’s been doing for 2 hours now.
Almost no work today. It was 1/3 self-study from the weekend, 1/3 sales emails, and 1/3 info gathering for boss man because he still refuses to use the master lists I’ve meticulously curated.
I’m very impressed that I didn’t completely destroy my nails today. I took my last polish job off a day or two ago, and haven’t even put on a strengthening base coat. They’re not looking super great, so I’m going to try to file and paint them very soon.

The First Day of Training
fandom: RWBY Words: 2176 Characters: Team RWBY, Glynda Goodwitch Description: Weiss, along with Ruby and Yang, finally gets her first day of real training. (Summoner AU, chapter 5. previous chapters 1, 2, 3, 4)
“Hiya Blake.” Ruby says as she skips over to the girl in the library.
“Hello Ruby, Weiss.” Blake says, nodding to both of them.
“Good afternoon.” Weiss says as she sits down across from her, Ruby sitting directly on the table.
“It’s not often you come here, is something wrong?” Blake asks.
“No, nothing.” Weiss says, “I typically do my reading in my room but I thought that perhaps I should start coming here more. Also there is something I thought you should know.”
“And what might that be?” Blake asks, closing the book she had been reading.
“I’ve been given a tutor to aid in my training. I just came from the first meeting with her.”
“Would this have something to do with the strain I felt on the bond earlier?” Blake asks.
“Yes actually.”
“Sorry, my fault.” Ruby says, “I tried to use more power than Weiss could handle.”
“At least more than I could handle while maintaining two summons at once.” Weiss says.
“So what?” Blake asks, “You want me to leave when you’re training?”
“Of course not.” Weiss says, “Quite the opposite in fact. I want you here every time, and I do mean here.”
“So not part of the training.”
“Precisely.” Weiss says, “Nobody has realized I can maintain three summons at once. Having you here without them knowing would limit my strength, but the strain and effort I put out during training wouldn’t be acted. It will make me seem weaker than I am while still pushing my limits to grow stronger.”
“So you can improve your abilities while still having any enemies who may wish you harm underestimate you.” Blake says.
“You’re gonna be our secret weapon!” Ruby says with a grin.
“Weapon?” Blake asks.
“Something like that.” Weiss says, “Not only will everyone believe they know the limits of my strength, but until it becomes clear to them I can maintain three summons no one will expect a third. Should someone attack when Yang is busy and only Ruby is present they won’t expect you there.”
“Yeah.” Ruby says, “If someone attacks then Weiss’ll have her rapier all like slash stab!” She fenced with an invisible rapier. “Then I’ll be like whoosh slash hiya!” she swung an invisible scythe, “Then they’ll be all like ‘come on there’s only two we can take them!’ and you’ll come out of the shadows all cool like you do like ‘surprise attack!’ and go all wham slash whatcha! It’ll be awesome.” She acts out things excitedly, swinging her arms and feet.
“Um, sure.” Blake says.
Weiss sighs and puts her face in her hand. “Yes, I’m sure that’s exactly how it will go.” She says sarcastically.
“See, everyone agrees. Sweet.” Ruby says.
“Right.” Blake says with a small chuckle. “Fine, I can stay here while you do your training.”
“Thank you.” Weiss says, “I appreciate it.”
“Too bad though.” Ruby says, “I was hoping we could all four be training together. That’d be fun.”
“I’m sure I will join you eventually.” Blake says, “Until then I’m fine hiding out here on my own while you train.”
“Hmm, alright.” Ruby says, “So, read anything good?”
Blake reaches over into the small stack of books beside her and hands one to Ruby. “Here, I think you’ll like it.”
“Nice. Thanks, Blake.” She says.
“I see you two are getting along.” Weiss says, “That’s good.”
“Yeah I hang out here sometimes.” Ruby says, “She gets along with Yang too, at least as long as Yang isn’t in here. She gets bored and loud.”
“I had to kick her out.” Blake says.
“Yep. Otherwise though it’s been smooth sailing.” Ruby says, waving her hand horizontally with her palm down like she was smoothing something. “Your whole ‘gotta study in my room all the time’ stuff is probably why you didn’t know. You need to relax.”
“How about I just start with studying somewhere other than locked in my room?” Weiss suggests.
“I guess that’ll work.” Ruby says.
“Now, speaking of relaxing, I’m exhausted.”
“We can go.” Blake says.
“I would appreciate it.” Weiss says. “I’ll call you back tomorrow before training.”
“Alright, I’ll be sure to tell Yang.” Ruby says.
“See you tomorrow.” Blake says and a moment later she disappears in a whirl of shadow.
“Rest up, we’re gonna start real training tomorrow.” Ruby says, “Bye!” She waves as she bursts into rose petals that drift down, vanishing before touching the ground.
“I suppose we do.” Weiss says. Reaching over she takes the book Blake had been reading and flips it back to page one. “Let’s see what we have here.” She says to herself as she begins to read, letting the strain of the day slip away.
…
“So what’s this training all about?” Yang asks as they walk.
“It’s to help me improve my power as a summoner.” Weiss answers.
“Well duh, but what are we going to do?” Yang asks.
“I honestly haven’t the faintest idea.”
“Well that’s a great help.” Yang says.
“Oh, maybe we’ll fight something!” Ruby says, “That’d be fun.”
“For some reason I highly doubt that.” Weiss says.
“Guess we’re about to find out.” Yang says as they stop at a door.
“Everyone ready?” Weiss asks.
“Yep.” Both sisters say at the same time.
“Alright then, here we go.” She says and opens the door, heading inside.
This room was a bit larger than the last one and even emptier. Large windows ran around the edges of it, as well as a domed skylight letting in lots of sunlight. Standing near a wall to their left was Goodwitch, a scroll in her hand and open as she looked down at it.
Yang lets out a low whistle as she looks around. “Dang, this is a nice place.”
“Thank you. It’s often used as a ballroom but I suppose it works well as a training room too.” Weiss says.
“It will have to do.” Glynda says, walking over. “I hope you three are ready.”
“Hell yeah we are.” Yang says and punches her fists together. “I haven’t had a chance to stretch my muscles in a bit. Yesterday was a real flop.”
“So you must be Yang.” She says, pushing up her glasses as she looks her over. Then she goes through her scroll again for a moment. “These tests are going to push all three of you to improve yourself as fast as possible. Given that Ms. Schnee has two summons present already I’m given to believe she has a fair amount of untapped potential that should develop quickly. Until we reach her actual limits I expect rapid growth. I warn you though, this will not be easy.”
“Yeah well, that wouldn’t be fun anyway.” Yang says.
“I am determined to improve myself.” Weiss says, “You won’t be disappointed.”
“We will see.” Goodwitch says, “For now we are going to work on your ability to anchor others in this world in order to improve your strength in that area.”
“How will we be doing that?”
“You will focus. Concentrate on your bonds, on maintaining them, and on keeping these two here.” She looks at Ruby and Yang, “You two will be doing the opposite. You will be drawing on the otherworld as best as you can, using your abilities to their fullest without going across. Is everyone clear?”
“You got it.” Yang says.
“Certainly.” Weiss says.
“Yes ma’am!” Ruby says, giving a salute.
“Very well.” Glynda says, “Ms. Schnee, get ready.”
Weiss nods and closes her eyes, breathing deeply. She focuses her energy inward, feeling the bonds to the others and putting more energy into Ruby and Yang’s in preparation, knowing that Blake’s wouldn’t take much to maintain.
“Now, you two.” Glynda says, “Begin.”
Ruby and Yang grinned at each other and then ran a bit further into the room before turning towards each other. “You ready, Sis?” Yang asks.
“Bring it on.” Ruby says. For a moment neither moved as they stared each other down. Then in a burst of rose petals Ruby was right in front of Yang in midair as she swung her foot out in a kick right at her head.
Yang raised her arm and blocked the kick, throwing a jab out with her other one, sending Ruby back. Her eyes changed to red and her hair caught fire as she let her power flare up. Wreathes of fire wrapped around her wrist and she threw her arms forward, sending fireballs at Ruby.
Ruby dodged the attacks easily, moving from side to side. Seeing an opening she tried again, bursting forward with a short flash of speed. This time she moved past Yang, holding her arms out as a scythe formed in them, catching Yang around the neck and jerking her off of her feet.
Yang turned the momentum into a backflip, landing in a crouch and then rolling to the side as Ruby’s scythe came down right next to her. She threw another fireball that was dispersed in a blaze with the scythe just as she’d expected. In the slight second Ruby couldn’t see her through the fire she rushed in, drawing back until she was in arms reach. She swung forward with a cry, only to stumble as both Ruby and her flickered, causing them to lose their balance.
Looking over they both saw Weiss was standing with her arms out forward, her eyes screwed shut as she focused on keeping them here. She was starting to sweat and her breathing was already heavy. “Hey Weiss are you alright?” Yang asked, looking at her.
“Keep going.” Glynda says, “She’ll be fine.”
“Are you sure?” Yang asks, “She’s looking a bit-“ her sentence is cut off as her feet are pulled out from under her, causing her to fall forward. Before she can even hit the ground something slams into her back so she bounces off the floor, and then a foot kicks her in the side sending her flying.
She rolls across the ground and manages to right herself quickly, just in time to see Ruby and her scythe about to come down on her. She slams her palms together on either side of the blade, catching it a hair’s breadth from her face. Moving it to the side she rushes forward inside Ruby’s defenses. “You sneaky little brat!” She yells as she swings a haymaker right at her face.
Ruby ducks under the hit and spins, swinging the back of her scythe at Yang, who blocks it with one arm and then shoots a fireball with the other, sending Ruby flying backwards.
“That is enough.” Glynda says, causing both of the sisters to stop and look at her.
“I thought you said keep going?” Ruby asks.
“And now I’m saying to stop.” Glynda says, “Please reduce your power, it is putting a strain on Ms. Schnee.”
“Oh right.” Yang says, letting her fire die down and her eyes change back.
“You okay?” Ruby asks Weiss as she walks over, her scythe fading away into rose petals.
“I’ll be fine.” Weiss says as she pants heavily, leaning over. “Just need a bit of rest and I’ll be alright.”
“Good.” Glynda says, “You have fifteen minutes before we start again.”
“Again?” Weiss asks.
“I told you, this will not be easy.”
Weiss groans as Ruby puts her hand on her shoulder. “It’ll be okay Weiss. Soon this won’t be nothing.”
“Soon isn’t now.” Weiss says, “And that’s a double negative.”
“Yeah, she’s fine.” Yang says.
“Fifteen minutes.” Glynda reminds, “Use it wisely.”
…
Weiss groaned as she fell into bed face first before rolling onto her back. “That was horrid.” She says, her eyes already closed.
“Oh come on it wasn’t that bad.” Ruby says, sitting on the bed.
“Maybe not for you.” Weiss groans.
“Come on, you gonna let one day get you down?” Yang asks.
“Of course not.” Weiss says, “I’m not going to move until tomorrow though.”
“Well it can’t have been too bad.” Blake says, walking into the room.
“Why would believe that?”
“We’re all still here.” Blake says.
Weiss opens her eyes and looks around. “Yes, yes you are.”
“Which means you have more left in the tank than you realized.” Yang says.
“Just since you’ve known us you’ve gotten so good that this is like nothing.” Ruby says, “But it does still take energy. You used to barely be able to keep me around.”
“I suppose I have come a long way these past few months.” Weiss says.
“Damn right.” Yang says, pumping a fist.
“Nevertheless, I’m going to rest now.” Weiss says.
“Of course.” Blake says, “We’ll see you later.” With that she disappears back to her own world.
“Sleep well, Princess, you earned it.” Yang says.
“Yeah. We’ll be here when you need us. Goodnight!” Ruby says and then in a burst of flame and a puff of rose petals they disappear as well.
“Yes, good night.” Weiss says, closing her eyes again with a small smile as she drifted off to sleep easily.

Cambridge University: A Tour with Reiss Akhtar
Hi, I'm Reiss, I'm a fresher at Cambridge and I'm here to take you on a tour. Today I'm gonna take you down Trumpington Street. I'm gonna take you around some of the colleges. We'll go past Queens, we'll go past Caius. And just for good measure, we're gonna have some lunch as well. Right now, we are a Grantor Place. So at Grantor Place, you can either pop into a pub, if you want a bev, or you can just come and hang out with friends here. We were just in Fitzbillies, which is basically everyone's go to for a good cake and coffee. I actually got you guys a toasty bun from there, which they're really famed for. (Hallelujah Chorus) If you still want it. I first heard about Cambridge through my secondary school. They really encouraged some of us to apply. Then I came on an open day to Corpus Christi in year ten. I fell in love with it straight away. Didn't know what I wanted to study, didn't know what colleges were, but I just knew that I wanted to be there. Cambridge is split into collegiate system, where the courses don't differ between different places, but you're put into a specific hub or community and that is called your college. So for me, I am at Caius. Caius is short for Gonville and Caius, but if you call it Gonville and Caius, then you're like an outsider. I didn't actually pick Caius; I was pooled to Caius. I originally applied to Downing. The pooling system is basically, if a college doesn't have space for you, or they think that you would be a better fit at a different college, then they'll put your application into a pool and the other colleges are free to choose you. Pooling isn't like not getting in. It just means that Cambridge care about where you are and they want you to be at the best college for you. I think my favorite thing about Caius is that they value eating together. So all of us really really enjoy going to hall everyday, sitting together, and having a chat. It's not true that we don't have proper kitchens at Cambridge. It usually depends on your accommodations. So, at Caius, we have hobs, fridges, microwaves, toasters, all the fun stuff. I've gotten quite involved in student life at Caius. So I'm the freshers' rep, which means I represent the first year and organize freshers' week for the incoming freshers. A marriage formal is basically like the officialization of your college marriages. And college marriages are basically, you propose to someone in your year, you become college married, and you get assigned a fresher next year that you mentor. So you have a lot of opportunity to meet people outside of your college though, through your subject, whether that be through lectures or through workshops. So this term, I have classes on Cymbeline with people from various colleges. I study English literature. I think the most interesting discussion I've had this year was probably about the effect that Donald Trump's had on LGBT rights. And that was interesting because we were doing medieval literature and somehow managed to make that work. I think Cambridge has made me more academically brave. I don't feel scared about saying what I'm interested in, about picking specific themes even if they're different than what everyone else is interested in. And I feel like that's translated into our personal lives, for a lot of us. So I basically live with my bag. Have a look inside. I have my laptop, which is basically my life, 'cause it has my entire degree on it. I have a play by Shakespeare called Cymbeline. So this term's faculty workshops are about this and it requires us to go through and do something called glossing. Not really sure what it is yet, but I'm hoping that I find out today. Got my umbrella, which is like a life-saver in Cambridge because you never know when it's gonna rain here. And I have a speaker because all good days require speakers, so I keep this on hand just in case. So we're gonna go past Queens and go to my accommodation. Yeah there's like loads of small really pretty streets here. Basically everywhere is an Instagram opportunity. Over here is Queens College, which is another college at Cambridge. And then just next to it is some of the accommodation for the students. Because every college offers the same courses, sometimes you'll be taught in different colleges. Only because each college has like different teams and pools of specialists in different fields. All the first years live just over there, so we'll go through there now and take a look. So this is West Road, which is packed full of students so, on your left here we have K Block, which is a Caius accommodation and I'll be living there next year. Just past that, we have the Caius first year accommodation, which is on the Harvey Court side. Past that is Sidgwick, which is where I said most of the lectures are, where the faculties are. So my English literature faculty's there. And if I go to English literature lectures, I'll be in Sidgwick. There's also a few cafés and a few places to work there. So as you can see, this is the center of town. Filled with tourists, which is quite annoying when you're like, running to library, but you'll learn that Cambridge is just very famous for the tourists. We'll take you down to Caius, which is just down there. And then some of our accommodation opposite. A lot of the colleges in the center of town are quite near each other and it was a bit weird at first because you think you're coming to a CE, they'd be spaced out, but like literally, Caius is there, and then two minutes down is Trinity. And then if you walk for another five minutes, you can find St. John's. Senate House is just here and basically, that building is used for graduations. So, no matter what college you go to, whether it be Queens or Kings, this is the place that you come to to graduate. So during your first moments as a freshers, you will most likely come to this place here. So the General Tailors Robemakers. You'll go there for all of your Cambridge stash. So if you want a Cambridge hoodie, if you want a Cambridge bow tie, don't know who would wear one, but if you want one, they have the option. Most of us though go there to get our gowns. This actually is the Caius gown. So what we'll go is, we'll go in and have a look at the kind of gowns that students wear. So usually you wear these to like formal events. So for Caius, if you have a formal dinner going on like Super Hall, which happens once a term and you'll wear your gown on top of usually a suit. These are most likely used for different black tie events as well, but specifically in college, if you go to something like a ball, you won't have to wear gowns. So these are mostly for college events. (upbeat music) This is Rose Crescent and Caius actually owns most of this street which means that we get the chance to live here, either in our second or third year. So there's this misconception that when you come to Cambridge and you enter a college, you'll live in the college the entire time. While some colleges let you live onsite, you don't spend your entire three years there typically. So colleges like Girton will have accommodations, but around Cambridge and Caius, for example, allow you to live in the rooms just above these shops and restaurants. We're gonna go to a place called Gardi's, which is our absolute favorite place in Cambridge. They do the best kabob here. There is some competition about where you go after a night out. You have the Van of Life, you have the Van of Death, which is conveniently opposite the Van of Life. And then, you have the Gardenia, which is our favorite. So here we are, this is Gardi's. They do probably the best honor in town, the best kabab, but, most importantly, they do the best chips that I've had here. Hiya. - Hello. - [Reiss] Can I have one serving of cheesy chips please? - Yeah. - Thank you. Oh, so you'll notice that, all along the walls of Gardi's, you have photos of people that have come here. So Gardi's is basically like a really nice community. So whenever you come in, they'll like pop a picture of you and then you'll get to be on the wall. These are my cheesy chips. I am honestly in bliss right now. This is the highlight of my day. (Hallelujah Chorus) They're so good. I'm so happy. So that is the tour. Thanks for joining me, I hope you enjoyed it. I'm gonna go and finish these off, so I'll see you around next time.

I Hate My Smelly Neighbour
It’s starting again.
I squeezed my headphones onto my ears, trying to drown out the commotion. But no matter what I did, the noises pierced through, as clear as day.
This happened every night. Always started around 8pm, according to my roommates. Of course, I’ve changed my schedule to avoid being home around this time, but the library closed early today, so here I am.
Despite living here here for four fucking months, I couldn’t figure out how the hell my neighbour was making these sounds.
It sounded like….gargling. Like someone filled his mouth with water and swished it around a million times. Then, he faced up and exhaled slowly through the water, taking care not to spill any water and to make as much noise as possible. Of course, that’s not possible - for gargling to be this loud, the person would have to be some dinosaur-sized giant.
And I’m sure it wasn’t just water through the pipes either. That would just be a constant rattling noise that faded into silence after at most five minutes. These noises were unpredictable, varying in volume and intensity - they sounded alive.
It was stopping…..no, it wasn’t, it got louder - my table was vibrating from the damn cacophony of gurgles and squelches. I turned to the wall behind me, which separated my room from my neighbour, and raised my middle finger. Fuck you, Rancid Reaper. Fuck you and your stupid, irritating, disgusting sounds. You annoy the fuck out of me, you miserable, imbecile piece of shit.
As you can see, I hate my neighbour a lot. Let me explain why I’m so furious at him.
Five months ago, I chanced upon this place that’s really close to school, and is really, really cheap. Doesn't matter that the place looked really crappy - the corridors were filthy with a musty smell, the walls were pretty thin and the doors couldn’t close properly. It was dirt cheap because the current tenants were desperate for a new flatmate to share the cost, so they lowered my share a little. The proximity to school meant that I could save time, and spend less on transport. At that time, that was what mattered to my naive mind.
After finalising everything and moving in one month later, I found out why the previous occupant of my room left the place in a hurry.
First reason is the lifts. There are only two elevators serving fifteen storeys, and each storey has ten units - this is just plain insufficient. The wait can take up to twenty minutes in the morning, when most people are heading to either work or school, and in the evening, when everyone is heading back home. My predecessor must have been caught in one too many jams.
Second reason is my roommates, and some of my neighbours. Jake leaves a mess everywhere he goes - unwashed dishes in the sink, stains on the coffee table, weights all over the living room floor - worse than a cat, really. Han stays in his closed room 99% of the time he’s home, studying and doing who knows what else - he’s quite distant as a result. The people upstairs break out some tapdance-like routine at random intervals in the night. And the neighbours to the right fuck like rabbits, and scream really loud when they do it.
But….it’s cool, I can cope with all these. I can force myself to wake up earlier to avoid the morning peak hour, and I’ll just return home in the late afternoon or much later at night. As for the people aspect, Jake eventually cleans up after himself, even though it’s more out of necessity (so that he can move around the apartment), and it’d be probably around four hours after the initial mess appeared. Han does acknowledge me with a smile….from time to time. The Riverdancers upstairs don’t thump the floor every single day, and the Rabbits’ cries of joy normally don’t last more than five minutes.
The only thing I can’t stand, is the Rancid Reaper to our left.
Most of his habits - hell, just the sight of him never fails to rile me up. One of them is the constant disgusting gargling noises emitted from his house periodically - my table is currently shaking from the sounds as I type this, and it’s already the third time tonight. But I’ll come to that later; I’m gonna start with his nickname.
Remember what I said earlier about forcing myself to wake up earlier? It just so happens that Reaper’s routine coincides with mine - he’ll emerge from his house at the same time. Sometimes a little later, when I’m already in the lift lobby. He’ll walk to the landing, and stand a few metres to my right.
That’s when the smell will hit me.
It’s hard to describe the overpowering odour - it’s like someone put wet dog fur, rotten eggs and two-week-old vomit into the blender, drench some stale dirty laundry with the mixture, then wrap the revolting piece of cloth around your nose. Maybe….maybe it's the stained wifebeater and crumpled black shorts he’s always clad in - does he ever wash them? Does he even bathe? I’ve never seen him wear any other clothes; I've never seen him without greasy hair or a sweaty brow.
I can’t avoid getting into the lift with him. I can’t wake up earlier - sleep is precious, yo. I also can’t wait for him to leave first, because I risk getting into the morning jam, and I’ll be late for my classes. Therefore, I have to hold my breath for the entire ride down the block, to keep myself from puking right there and then.
I remember this one night when I forgot to pack my stuff, causing me to rush around the next morning. As a result, I was a little out of breath in the lift with the Reaper. When I finally let go and inhaled, the stench had become unbearable in that confined space, causing me to double over and retch repeatedly. I was too nauseous to walk straight by the time I reached the ground floor. I’m sure I almost died that day - that’s how he got his name.
I tried to mention the smell to him politely a few times, but….I don't think he understood a single word that came out of my mouth. He would just respond with a blank stare aimed at the centre of my face, right at the top part of my nose bridge and just between the eyes - actively avoiding any eye contact. There would be this awkward silence, before I back away and resume holding my breath. It’s like he knows, but he just doesn’t give a shit about it.
The reason why he gets up so early is so that he can shop at the grocery store nearby, which is coincidentally where Han works. Han hasn’t seen what the Rancid Reaper buys - he works the night shift - but he has overheard the conversations between his gossiping coworkers, who love to talk about the Reaper (his stench probably got to them as well). Apparently, he often purchases huge bags of baby diapers, tissue papers, baby milk powder - essentially stuff for babies.
This is really weird, because he definitely doesn’t have a child at home. He doesn’t even seem capable of caring for his own personal appearance: his grey hair is always unkempt; his skin dotted with liver spots and criss-crossed with wrinkles; his lips are perpetually half-open, revealing his worn, yellowish-brown teeth. He looks in no shape to take care of a child. Besides, we would have heard some telltale noises - crying, laughing, playing….
But no. We get these stupid gargling noises, instead. I suffer the brunt of it, since my room is right next to his unit.
It wasn’t this bad when I first moved in. Of course, I was quite shocked the first time I heard the noise - who wouldn’t be shocked when a ear-splitting, disgustingly moist bubbling sound rocks the entire room? But I got used to it, because….well, it only happened twice every night, at 8pm and 10pm.
Then it increased in frequency, to four-five times every night. That was when I decided to take action, and face my neighbour. As mentioned before, his reaction was a typical emotionless stare in my direction, and I couldn’t get anything else from him.
The gargles continued growing in frequency, to the point when it disrupted my studies and sleep. I often banged the wall in frustration, trying to make him shut up. That only made the noise even louder though. I feel like just storming to his house, bashing the door down and club him with a crowbar or hammer or some hard object, but I can’t; I’m not a confrontational person.
So the only thing left to do was to adapt.
I shifted my bed to the other side of the room, and made some modifications to it. It’s essentially a blanket fort, ventilated with plastic tubes and small fans. It muffles the sounds and softens the vibrations, and thanks to the fans, it’s not so stuffy inside. I’m not an engineering major, so I’m kinda proud of myself for building this to overcome the noise problem(cue the “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome” meme). I’ve also decided to study in school instead, too. The environment is much more conducive there, and I return home only to do chores not related to academics.
This new schedule started around a month ago, and I’m happy to say that I feel more productive during my study sessions. However, since I’m returning home at a later time, I’ve started noticing some suspicious activity outside the Rancid Reaper’s home.
Every three to four days, a woman would be loitering at our level at around 9pm. Sometimes she would be leaning on the wall outside the Reaper’s house, other times she would be at the far corner of the lift lobby, using her phone. Despite seeing her so many times, I don’t remember any distinct facial features - in fact, I don’t think I’ve actually seen her face clearly, as her long, flowing hair obscured her face. She would turn to face me if she heard me walking, but would immediately glance away when I look at her.
The most common way to recognise her is her petite figure - she only came up to my shoulder, and I’m not a tall person either. Her attire of choice is normally a black or navy blue figure-hugging dress, together with black high heels and a black smartphone. Even though I’ve never seen her face, I could say she’s kinda attractive, an opinion shared by Jake, who keeps ogling her through our window. Dammit Jake - yeah, it’s a tinted window, but you do know that she can see you when the inside of our flat is brighter than the corridor outside, right?
Her behaviour is….odd, to say the least. I think she spends most of the time outside the Reaper’s flat - she occasionally stands in the lobby so as to avoid me (and Jake, of course). While she’d be using her phone for most of the time, she would periodically stroke the wall or the Reaper’s door tenderly - longingly, like she misses it. This is pretty strange, because I’ve never ever seen any relative or friend of the rancid old man. In fact, I have never seen anyone else enter or leave the flat - as far as I know, the Reaper lives alone. Which makes perfect sense, because who in their right mind would put up with that smell?
There was this one time when I was stuck waiting for the lift with the sex-crazed Rabbits, and we made up some small talk. Yup, as you guess it, the topic of our conversation was our dear friend the Rancid Reaper.
Apparently, the old man wasn’t always like that - in fact, they think that he’s actually around 40 years old, even though he has the appearance of a poorly-groomed 60-year-old. He used to be pretty normal - happily married with a beautiful wife; dressed in proper, clean clothes; quite friendly, would greet most people with a smile, and make some small talk in the lift. Then around a few months ago, I guess….something happened. Suddenly the wife was nowhere to be seen, and the man became increasingly withdrawn, and….he started his transformation into the Rancid Reaper.
I think the Rabbits may have been drunk when they told me this outlandish origin story. But is this mystery woman the wife? I don’t know, but she seems like she knows the Reaper. Oh, and she definitely knows what causes the gargling noises - because whenever she hears a gargle, she would become emotional. She would squat down, put her hands on the door, and start sobbing loudly. When this happens, I stop and hesitate for a moment, wondering what I should do: should I ask her if she’s alright and see if she needs help, or should I continue taking off my shoes and head inside, ignoring her?
I always pick the second option. I don’t know her well, and she seems pretty guarded against strangers, so I don’t want to bother her.
I know she’s outside right now. I heard the familiar clicking sounds of her high heels against the tiled floor outside about an hour ago. Jake heard it too, and I caught him sashaying to the window to creep at her. Again. Damn the horny bastard.
Only thing is….I think something’s wrong next door. It’s been silent for more than half an hour. I’m not saying that’s not a good thing, but the gargles typically come at a rate of every twenty minutes. Also, while they fluctuate in volume, they fade into silence gradually - not like the last gargle, which cut off abruptly.
There’s a knock on my door. It’s Jake.
“I think there’s something happening at the Rancid’s. We need to check it out.”
“There’s no way I’m sticking my nose into his business. I have had enough of his smell already.”
“I can hear shouting and screaming over there, man. Something’s happening and we need to know what’s going on.”
“Hey buddy, take a good look at my face. Do I look like I give a fuck? I can’t hear anything from where I’m sitting, and that’s a good thing - so I’m gonna sit down here and enjoy this silence, and there’s nothing you can do to make me budge from my bed.”
“Hey bro, this is an emergency, man. The hot chick went into the Reaper’s house. Yeah, she stepped in about half an hour ago - then all the shouting started. Think I heard stuff being thrown around as well. We really need to check it out - man, I don’t want the hot chick to get hurt.”
I didn’t move, choosing to stare resolutely at Jake instead.
“Alright, man. You do you. I’m gonna check it out, and you know, if anything happens, if I don’t come back….call the police, will ya?” He left the room.
I think it’s better if he doesn’t come back. The house will be neater.
But….I don’t want to pay a higher share of the rent.
I stepped out after him.
(I'll update this two days later)
