Ok I know the Goncharov hype has died down for the rest of yall, but my page is 100% Goncharov right now, so I'm gonna say my thing regardless. I really like how, by total coincidence, when the meme started it just so happened to be when the movie was supposed to be 49 years old. Like, that just made the next anniversary so much more fun than if the claim was that it came out 1972 or 77 or something. Amazing foresight by the tumblers.

I’d just like to inform Tumblr that Tiktok has come up with their own version of Goncharov.

It’s called Zepotha and the mode of transmission is to tell people they look like ___ from Zepotha.

I, myself, apparently look like “the bodyguard from Zepotha”.

Luckily for me, I’d already seen the video so I’m taking it with pride. 😂

Every year, on my dad's birthday, for as long as I can remember, as a family we all used to watch Goncharov. My mum would always complain and my sister was always bored, but I watched everything with interest, just to have something in common with my dad. Memories. Life was good.

The problem with Zepotha is that it’s not collaborative.

Goncharov was a spark of inspiration that wrought works that fueled further inspiration. With no central force to tether the work, each contribution was as valid and important as any other, regardless of how much they may contradict. Anything you could say about goncharov was canon and true because goncharov belongs to all.

Zepotha is a fun little joke for one tiktok user with a large following. You see others who seem to be participating in Zepotha but they’re not. No one has been invited to participate in the work, only to spread the word of it as Zepotha missionaries. They do not comment “you look like Linda from Zepotha” because they are participating in the creation of Linda as a character by assigning her your face. They are only saying it to spread the message of Zepotha and lead you back to the creator

Can everyone on Tumblr stop talking shit about Zepotha and just do it the right way? Like it’s a fun and cool idea and we have the correct format to do it here on Tumblr. Whose gonna stop us?
