Rumor has it--or perhaps I'm just recalling someone theorizing about this--part of the reason she signed up with WME was to gold dig their staff for a new mark. Sounds like her typical modus operandi. She needed a new group of high-income men to trawl.

I would presume that Hollywood agents & executives are experienced in dealing with gold diggers already to ignore her. Plus, her reputation already proceeds her.

Yep. That's the biggest reason. The rumor is that she has had an affair (probably more than one) with a wealthy man, but he was clear from day one he was in it for the sex. He explicitly told her that they may share bodily fluids, but he would not in any way share money, so no business ventures, cohabitating, and definitely not marriage. She supposedly refused to take him at his word or thought she could change his mind and strung along for a while. I'm not sure if he's still around.

I also believe, but have not had this confirmed, that for a while she was trying to lure David Foster away from Katharine McPhee.
