Did anyone see the “interview” with Godzilla and Kong on Instagram because like— there is many things that make sense in that one thing.
The interviewer: How did you guys end up getting along?
Kong: Therapy… Lots of therapy.
Godzilla: roaring instead of talking (until the end when he says: It is our pleasure)
Okay but like, did the gxk crew basically give us their very own actor au because that is HILAROUS 😭

Recuperation
Tumblr media
Okay now y’all are stuck with me for a while until Dinozen finishes his massive stories.
After a long day at work, you finally had the apartment to yourself. You dropped your bag by the door, kicked off your shoes, and shuffled into the kitchen. Tonight called for something simple—instant ramen with an egg and whatever leftover vegetables you could scavenge from the fridge.
With a steaming bowl, you sank onto the couch, remote in hand, ready to lose yourself in some anime. It took you about ten minutes of scrolling to land on Kaiju No. 8. The title floated online for a while, and curiosity finally won. From the first episode, you were hooked.
There was something about Kafka—the way he struggled with his responsibilities, the weight of his unfulfilled dreams—that felt oddly familiar. Sure, you weren't dealing with kaiju or life-or-death stakes, but the longing to be more, to be something greater, resonated in a way you didn’t expect. You leaned forward, ramen forgotten, completely immersed.
So much so that you didn’t even hear the door open.
“Hey, babe,” Tsuki’s cheerful voice cut through the action on-screen.
You flinched, fumbling for the remote and pausing the episode mid-explosion. Turning toward her, you found her standing in the doorway, framed by the warm glow of the hallway light. Her work bag was slung over one shoulder, and her dark hair spilled loose over her shoulders, a few strands clinging to her face from the cool night air.
“Oh, hey!” you said, still recovering from the surprise. “How was your day?”
“Long,” she said with a dramatic sigh, running her hands through her hair in mock exhaustion. Then she glanced at you, her lips quirking into a playful smile. “What about you?”
“Same,” you replied, matching her sigh for effect.
She laughed softly, setting her bag down by the door before crossing the room to sit beside you on the couch. The scent of her perfume—subtle, floral—cut through the lingering smell of ramen, a comforting contrast. She leaned in and kissed your cheek, her lips warm and soft.
“What are we watching?” she asked, her eyes flicking to the screen.
“Kaiju No. 8,” you answer, handing her the remote so she can read the episode description. “Just started it. Have you ever heard of it?”
Tsuki raised an eyebrow, scrolling through the details. “Mmm, I think Sua might have mentioned it once. Said it’s about a guy who turns into a kaiju, right? Sounds like your kind of thing.”
You chuckled. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You know,” she teased, nudging me with her elbow. “Big monsters, lots of fighting, some tragic backstory—sounds like you.”
You rolled your eyes, but her smile was infectious. “Well, it’s good so far,” you said, gesturing toward the screen. “Want to watch with me?”
She tilted her head, pretending to consider it. “Hmm, I was thinking of a bath and bed, but… sure. I’ll give it one episode. You can’t complain if I fall asleep halfway through, though.”
“No promises,” you said, grinning.
Tsuki tucked her legs under her as she got comfortable, resting her head against your shoulder. You hit play, and the room filled with the sound of explosions, roaring kaiju, and Kafka’s determined voice.
As the episode unfolded, Tsuki occasionally murmured comments—mostly teasing ones about the characters or the animation—but it was clear she was getting into it.
“You’re really good at understanding this now,” she said suddenly during a quiet scene.
“What?” you asked, caught off guard.
“Your Japanese, it's gotten better,” she said, gesturing toward the screen. “I remember when you’d have to pause every five minutes to look something up. Now you’re keeping up with all this kaiju jargon like it’s nothing.”
You felt your cheeks heat a little. “Well, I’ve been practicing. Plus when I was a kid I used to watch Godzilla all the time and a lot of the jargon is the same… I guess I have a pretty great tutor.”
Tsuki grinned, her cheek resting against your shoulder. “Damn right, you do.”
The episode continued, but your focus shifted. You made the mistake of glancing at Tsuki, who was sprawled comfortably on the couch. Her hair was slightly messy from the day, her makeup faded but was still perfect to you. She looked so effortlessly sultry yet so at home, and it broke your brain for a second.
“You’re so hot,” you blurted.
Tsuki sat up slightly, her eyes wide with mock disbelief. “Excuse me?”
"I said you’re so hot,” you repeated, more confidently this time. “Like, you just walk in here, hair all messy, talking about kaiju and complimenting my language skills—how am I supposed to focus on anything else?”
She laughed, her face lighting up in a way that made your chest feel warm. “You say the most random things sometimes,” she said, leaning in to kiss you. “But I’ll take it.”
The kiss lingered for a moment before she pulled back, her eyes soft. “Alright, let’s see if Kafka can beat that.”
“Good luck to him,” you muttered, earning another laugh.
As the episode ended and the credits rolled, Tsuki let out a contented sigh. “Okay, I see the appeal. Maybe I’ll stick around for a few more episodes. But first—” she stretched and yawned, “—I’m grabbing some of that ramen you’re hoarding. Save the next one for me?”
“Actually, I’ll do you one better,” you said, getting up and heading into the kitchen. Tsuki followed, curious. “Sit tight—I’m making breakfast ramen for you.”
Her eyes sparkled under the low light of the apartment. “Your famous breakfast ramen?” she asked, her voice laced with excitement. You nodded, already pulling ingredients from the fridge.
When you slid the steaming bowl across the counter to her, she took her first bite, her eyes widening like a kid opening a gift. “Ah, so cute,” you teased, and she blushed, mumbling something about how unfairly good it was.
“You ever think about becoming a chef?” she joked, savoring another bite.
You laughed but decided to bring up something you've been meaning to tell her. “Actually, I’ve been thinking about pursuing something new.”
Tsuki paused, her chopsticks mid-air. “You’re not leaving me, are you?”
“Not a chance,” you said quickly. “But I’ve been working on getting my pilot’s license—helicopters, planes, the works.”
Her eyes widened with admiration. “Wow. First photography, now flying? You’re really living up to that Nigou comparison.”
You rolled your eyes as she laughed. “Hey, I need something to do while you’re busy being a superstar.”
Tsuki gave you one of her smiles—the kind that radiated love and warmth, the kind that made everything else fade into the background.
“What are you staring at?” she asked, tilting her head cutely.
“Oh, don’t worry about it,” you said, grinning.
She pouted, poking me with her chopsticks. “Fine, but only because you’ve been pampering me all night.”
You smiled as she finished up, then her eyes took on a different kind of hunger. She abandoned her bowl before approaching me.
"You know it's been a little while since we've had alone time like this," she says, with a sultry tone. You blink at her a few times until she brings you in for another kiss. This kiss brings with it her hands wrapping around your shoulders, as she brings you in close her tongue finds its way into your mouth. Tsuki breaks the kiss and then says, "I always love how sweet you smell. Whether it's vanilla oranges or blueberries. You always smell like dessert, and I think I'm in the mood for some right now."
Tsuki pulls you in for another kiss as your hands wrap around her and dance around her svelte body. You smile into the kiss as she continues to kiss deeper.
"Fuck!" she groans before guiding you to the bedroom. She lifts up her top and her petite and pert breasts greet you. She smiles and then says, "Take that cock out," You shrug and oblige her as she smiles before taking you into her mouth. Her pouty lips spread all around your cock as she begins to slide up and down your length. You moan and Tsuki says,
"you like that," as she speaks she slowly rubs your shaft before taking you back into her mouth. She lightly bites the tip causing a bizarre sense of pleasure that almost makes you explode then and there. Tsuki smiles and groans around your cock.
"Please cum for me, baby. I want my cream for dessert," she says, and that's what gets you as you pour hot cum down her gullet. And Tsuki smiles around your cock before lifting herself up.
"Thanks for dessert, now let's continue this in the bathroom so we can both get clean," she says.

So Godzilla, being film franchise that dates back to the 20th century, understandably lacks a large female cast, I wanted to see how many female kaiju the series actually has, but while thinking this over an interesting thought occurred
Japanese, as a language, has some differences regarding pronouns compared to English, and a lot of Kaiju get referred to in much more gender neutral language in original Japanese than they do in English, this has resulted in some interesting fan interpretations over the years regarding the genders of kaiju, and you bet I'm going to catalogue the ones I've encountered
Starting off, the explicitly canon female kaiju of the Godzilla cast:
Mothra
Biollante
Zilla (I think the movie tried to deny it, but the cartoon confirmed it, although final wars zilla is another question)
Megaguirus
Monsterverse actually brings a number of explicitly female kaiju into the fold including:
The female Muto from 2k14
Barb, the other female Muto
Scylla
Tiamat
Na Kika (formerly Kraken)
Shimo
Phosphera
Some of the other unseen titans from King of the Monsters might also be ladies, but given as they are still unseen, that's just blind speculation
Now we get to the interesting part, the fan interpretations
Manda, Kumonga, and Destoroyah all being female is a pretty common and old fan interpretation, I know from firsthand experience that it at least dates back to the 2000s, but it could even be older
Baragon by comparison is far more recent, and I know for a fact this interpretation can be sourced primarily to the fact that in GMK, Baragon's performer was Rie Ota, and a behind the scenes clip of her doing the roars in the suit made waves around the fandom and even outside it in the 2010s
Hedorah is another more recent one, but interestingly enough I've also seen enby, bigender, and genderfluid interpretations of Hedorah as well. I guess there's something about the smog monster that screams gender to fans
Titanosaurus is again a newer interpretation, but fascinatingly a even newer idea has popped up in the past couple years that Titanosaurus is the kaiju equivalent of a femboy twink
Rodan being female is a very interesting case, both in origin and mainly due to the fact it only really applies to the Showa continuity and various fan continuities that desire. Basically the origin of this is that in the original 1956 film Rodan, there are two Rodans, a mating pair. At the end they both fall into Mt. Aso. When Rodan reemerges from Mt. Aso in Ghidorah the Three-Headed Monster, there's only one. There's been speculation for years as to the origin of this Rodan, but for the longest time it was either assumed to be the male or somehow the child of the pair from the original movie. But in 2010s a new idea rose to greater prominence: What if the Rodan that survived and subsequently appeared in the rest of the Showa films was the female of the pair?
Battra is an uncommon interpretation, but I have observed it
@lydiathespiderqueen did some fanart of a female version of Toho's Frankenstein, as well as the Gargantuas, and it's really good
and @thesilkenlair did a compelling analysis of Spacegodzilla being female due to possessing physical characteristics of Biollante, as well as their behavior in the movie lining up disturbingly well with a phenomenon in nature where an animal will kill or try to kill the extant children of a prospective mate so undivided attention can be given to it and any potential offspring it may have
And that's all I've encountered, please do tell if I've missed some

Just watched Godzilla: Minus One! (Spoiler free review/rant)
They promised and they gosh darn delivered - the human drama is fantastically written, with a lot of food for thought. We see the very unsettling internal struggle of a war-traumatized protagonist who cannot seem to find meaning in his life after surviving WWII. We see the stories of the people around him, souls scarred from the loss of life that resulted from the bombings. And we also see the human spirit prevailing through the darkness, in the middle of the rubble, as the dust of war settles, yet never allows them to forget what was lost and destroyed.
Godzilla - terror incarnate in the most beautiful and majestic flesh, gets presented to the audience as a real sucker-punch to the gut. The horror is palpable as the air rumbles and the brass roars our most beloved Ifukube tunes at the arrival of movie history's most prolific monster. Toho does not dare hide his presence in the shadows - in fact we get blessed with detailed shots of his body design, truly able to savour the artistry that was poured into his likeness, and that without ever breaking the pace. When he appears, he is truly here, and he has come to obliterate. This incarnation of Godzilla is brutality, and yet, I could not help but feel reminded of Jurassic Park's Tyrannosaurus rex in some shots, behaving like an animal does.
His eyes!!! This Godzilla does not walk over the city ignoring the ant-like humans in his wake. He knows that you are there. He is looking at you. He is coming to get you. And yet, you never get a real idea of what goes on inside this god of destruction's mind.
The story doesn't stop unfolding until its very end, where one is kept biting one's nails and shivering in the chair until, finally...
If your local cinema is still showing the film, I IMPLORE you to go watch it on the big screen. This film does so much with sound design, it truly ensures that you WILL feel the terror, you will feel the earth shaking and the world shattering at the arrival of GOJIRA.
Kenpachiro Satsuma-san, I hope you got to see this movie in all its glory before you left this earth. I hope they will add a dedication to you in the home release.

I once saw this video about how Heisei Godzilla is pretty much what people think of when they hear the name "Godzilla." It's also the version the media tends lean toward for commercials and promotions. Personally, I can't say I disagree. Heisei Goji does check all the boxes when it comes to Godzilla's general traits.
Big? Check.
Powerful? Check.
Destroys cities? Check.
Roars a lot? Check.
Blows atomic ray beam from mouth? Check.
Fights other monsters? Check.
But what do y'all think? Is Heisei Goji the definitive Goji?

Someone with a lot more skill and time than I have needs to make a scale floating version of Godzilla as he appears in this scene (just head and back spines).
Then tow it near swimming beaches this summer.
Extra credit if the float is equipped with a speaker so Godzilla can roar.

Hello: Greetings traveler, my name is Y/n L/n, adeptus of Rex Lapis, if you need anything please let me know l will do everything in my power to help.
Chat: Time: Time is a mysterius thing, don't you think? It's quite surprising how quickly it passes without us realizing it. Although It's sad how some things are forgotten, It's also reassuring how nations move forward to achieve a better future.
Chat: Fighting: You have a very interesting fighting style, traveler. If you have time, l will gladly teach you others fighting styles.
Scars: Oh my scars? Well, my scar on my arm can be seen with the naked eye, but it surprises me that after seeing the one on my eyebrow, you undoubtedly have a great view. Well, the one on my eyebrow was during my youth and the one on my arm was during a battle against a rather formidable enemy.
When it rains: I have always liked the rain, every time it rains it feels like the rain is singing a lullaby.
When thunder strikes: It looks like a storm is approaching, we should take cover before if gets worse.
When the sun is out: Oh the sun came out It's definitely perfect for a walk.
Good morning: Good morning traveler, l made some tea, do you want some?
Good afternoon: Greetings traveler you need me for something?
Good everning: It's better that we go back home because it's already getting dark.
Good night: Why don't you stay and rest at my house? After all tomorrow we have a lot of things to do.
About Y/n: Apart from being an adeptus of which l am very proud, l am also a great merchant of Liyue and l am the richest man in Teyvat so l have a great influence in Liyue.
About us: A great warrior worthy of admiration who seeks to achieve his goal, l dare to say that you remind me of xiao.
(Unlocks at friendship lv: 6): Whatever path you decide to follow, l will accept your decision and support you.
About visions (Unlocks at friendship lv: 4): The visions have always been a mystery to me. I still remember how l got mine. I was fighting a large horde of monsters and they outnumbered me, but those monsters were heading to Liyue and l was not going to allow them to destroy my home, so with all my strength. I continued fighting and from one moment to the next a great wade of wind drove away my enemies, a large part of the horde of monsters had frozed and a great lightning had struch and killied them and in front of me an anemo, cyro and electro visions had appeared, l suppose that people who have great determination can achieve a vision but it is just my opinion.
Something to share: Oh my swords? Well, both were a gift from lord Morax.
About the Traveler(Aether) (Unlocks at friendship lv4): Someone who is willing to face any challenge to find his sister is certainly worthy of respect and admiration.
About Paimon(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Paimon is... undoubtedly a mysterious creature since throughout my life l had never seen someone o something like her, although a small warning, Traveler, if l hear Paimon calling me a winged lizard again, l do not consider myself guilty of my actions.
About Zhongli(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Lord Zhongli is undoubtedly someone that l have a lot of respect for, he has helped me a lot in the past and although he no considers himself the geo archon, l will always be loyal to him.
About Xiao(Unlocks at friendship lv4): He is undoubtedly a great warrior and a great spear user, l find it admirable that despite being someone who suffered in the past he keeps going no matter what.
About Qiqi(Unlocks at friendship lv4): If l'm honest, sometimes l think that Qiqi is like my daughter, sometimes when l have time l go to the Baizhu pharmacy to her and l always bring her coconut milk since it is her favorite 'hehe' you can't imagine the big scandal that arose when Qiqi called me dad.
About Baizhu(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Without a doubt, he is a great pharmacist. He has cured most of my wounds.
About Hu tao(Unlocks at friendship lv4): If l had to describe Hu Tao l would say that she is the most energetic, lively and childish girl l have known in my life. It is pleasant to spend time with her although l find it somewhat annoying that she constantly wants to touch my horns without my permission, l still can't understand how Lord Morax ended up working for her.
About Yelan(Unlocks at friendship lv4): She is a good friend of mine and is a great informant. She always keeps me informant about what is happening in Liyue although she constantly wants to make bets with me.
About Ganyu(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Ganyu is like a little sister to me, after all l knew her when she was a little girl but unlike Cloud retainer l won't tell you stories about Ganyu when she was little but l can assure you that she was very adorable. As she works constantly for Ningguang the poor thing almost doesn't rest so l always have to remind her to get some rest. I should also tell Ningguang to give her more days off.
About Shenhe(Unlocks at friendship lv4): I still remember how l met her, l was next to Cloud retainer, the poor thing was quite scared and luckily we managed to calm her down. I find what her supposed father did quite unpleasant. I suppose that sometimes l don't understand humans, but now Shenhe is quite happy, although It's hard for her to understand human emotions, she's on the right track.
About Beidou(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Beidou? 'Haha!' To be honest, she is without a doubt my best friend we both always train together and to be honest her blows really hurt sometimes we go out drinking together although she is the one who always falls first l also usually pay her fines for the problems her crew sometimes causes.
About Ningguang(Unlocks at friendship lv4): You know something traveler? I think without Ningguang i would be very sad and i thought that after Miko's cheating i would never fall in love again but it seems i was wrong, i really love her, she had a really difficult chidhood but now she is Liyue's Tianquan and i couldn't be more proud of her, she deserves the whole world and l am ahle to give it to her.
About Keqing(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Like Yelan, Keqing is a good friend and i find it kind of funny how she and Ningguang argue, Keqing sometimes looks like a big angry cat 'hehe'
About Xianyun(Unlocks at friendship lv4): Cloud Retainer or Xianyun in this case is an old friend and is a great inventor. She helped me for me for many years and l am very grateful to her. She was even the one who designed my spear.
Y/n's Hobbies: Well if you are curious about what l do during my free time l really like draw.
Y/n's Troubles: Why should l get involved in a meanningless fight if there are innocent people in the crossfire?
Favorite food: It would definitely be spicy food.
Least favorite food: I'm not a big fan of sour food.
Birthday: Here you have my gift two necklaces made of crystal one for you and well one for your sister when you find her and l hope you both have a great and happy birthday.
Feeling About Ascension: Intro: It seems that my strength is returning little by little but remember we are not done yet.
Feeling About Ascension: Building Up: I feel like my power is growong every day just like the load inside my body. Please don't worry about something like this. It won't stop me or hurt me. After all, l'm a dragon.
Feeling About Ascension: Climax: It seems that my power has become even stronger, it seems that soon l will recover all my strength.
Feeling About Ascension: Conclusion: After so many years l never thought l would be able to regain all my power. I am very grateful to you my friend and if anyone gest involved with you, do not hesitate to let me know and l will show why they called me the blue lightning.

Godzilla x Kong was really good, I liked it a lot
There were a couple little references and easter eggs throughout it that I really haven't seen people talk about so I'm gonna do that!

First thing I noticed is that Kong's little cave entrance on the side of a mountain is almost exactly the same as his cave entrance in the original King Kong (the place he brings Anne Darrow to and fights off a pterodactyl at).
Both Godzilla and Kong use their original roars from time to time, not fully screaming them but occasionally Godzilla or Kong will growl them for a split second.
Bernie's room has the Muto movie poster that Ford Brody had in his room at the beginning of Godzilla 2014
Holy shit Skeleturtle. He doesn't physically show up but he's spray painted onto a wall that Godzilla steps on alongside graffiti of Hedorah, Jet Jaguar, a Xillian UFO, and Knifehead from Pacific Rim
There's a fuzzy little glowing dragonfly that flies around Mothra's temple, and my first immediate thought was "omg fairy Mothra" I actually don't know if that was on purpose, but it has the same color pallet as Mothra along with it being furry and bioluminescent so it's probably related to her in some capacity right? (I'm coping)

I hope this isn't too personal of an ask to send to a stranger on the internet, if it is I apologize. I'm only 22 but I've been struggling with feeling pressure to grow up and become 'normal' for years.
I have a lot of 'childish' stuff in my apartment, like plushies, my collection of videogames, posters all over my walls, things like that. Often I look at my apartment and think about taking it all down because it doesn't look mature enough.
I don't think I'll ever become like the norm, I've always been far too stubborn for that. The insecurities are still there, though. Seeing the bit about being old, odd and never changing in your tags gave me a lot of comfort.
Thanks for being loud and proud!
My Ask box is open to all and your question is most welcome, my dear. The best lesson any can learn early is to be comfortable with yourself. Trying to twist, turn and morph into a shape that pleases others but not yourself will only leave you miserable.
If it makes you feel any better, this is a corner of my home office...
Tumblr media
I am a grandmother in her late 60s and proudly display about 1/3 of my collection at any given time. The big Godzilla on the left is an 11.5 inch plush deluxe 50th anniversary Gojira. When you squeeze his chest his eyes light and he makes the classic roar. It was a Mother's Day present from my husband. We've been happily married for 45 years.
The key to happiness is to find people who will accept you for who you are. Remember that you are wonderful and worthy of all the good things in life just as you are.
As for "growing up," you mentioned your apartment. If you are making rent, paying your bills and generally supporting yourself then congratulations. You are adulting successfully. Please don't mistake growing up for growing older. The last time I checked there is no age limit on having fun. Unless what you like hurts someone else, then you are under no obligation to change for anyone else's comfort.
Learn to love yourself because if you don't then you can't reasonably expect anyone else to.

Just got out of my first viewing (spoilers so tag accordingly)
Yeah that was the most ridiculous shit ive ever seen and i had a blast lmfao.
--
To get the few negatives out of the way: Syclla and Tiamat got COOKED. That's crazy. Especially Tiamat. I had no idea she was in the movie and like choked on popcorn when they said her name. First onscreen appearance and she dies in like 3 seconds... sucks to be her. But honestly... this is probably one of those moments where Fan Content messes with the perception of a canon thing, at least for me. It hurts a lot more because of the emotional attachment from stuff like Ozymandias's story, Shamhat, and other adjacent stuff. If I had never seen those and watched her die I'd probably think "oh she had a cool design, but whatever". But yeah, my only serious complaint is her being shafted and I don't even really think I can call it objective because there was definitely an attachment there.
Ok besides that this might be my new personal favorite Monsterverse. Could be recency bias but I don't think so. Every human is at the very least entertaining. Everything Trapper did in this movie made me crack up, hearing Bernie say the words 'Discord chat' and 'Ghidorahstan64' (i stg this was a callout of some kind) onscreen gave me terminal whiplash, and although Jia and Andrew's story was sorta surface level, it was still endearing. I'd rather have a good human storyline, sure, but if we can't have that I'll settle for entertaining.
Here I thought Suko was gonna be an annoying marketing ploy to sell toys... I physically snorted in the theatre when Kong slammed him into that one ape. MVP of the film lmao. Mothra was... also there. Yeah, it really shows that she was a last minute addition. But DAMN she sent Godzilla ROLLING with a single attack. Speaking of, I don't think the Tia-Zilla form was as underutilized as I've heard people say it was. Especially that new Atomic Breath effect. Holy eargasm.
Oh man though, Shimo and Skar are fantastic. Skar hits the same beat as like a Celestial Dragon or Vladimir Harkonnen with way more grace than I would've expected from a big monkey. They go shockingly dark with his treatment of the ape-slaves and Shimo... especially with that female ape insinuation.
Holy shit poor Shimo, man. I honestly thought the Skar controlling her aspect would be kinda downplayed and just regular mind control, not genuine torture of some kind. I love that they let her have characterization by resisting him at every chance she gets, and that the pain control isn't always active (i'm assuming that's the insinuation of keeping her all chained and behind magma, it depowers and restrains her when Skar's not actively using her), further insinuating she gets merciful breaks from hellish enslavement only to be yanked back into it whenever Skar needs something turned into a popsicle. I think my favorite moment in the film is right after Suko shatters the crystal and the light blue luminescence fades to reveal her actual eyes for the first time. Eyes are used throughout the film to show subtle humanizing features, like Godzilla falling asleep in Rome, Kong's wide eyes when he sees his kin, and shock when Shimo realizes she's free. Having her eyes glowing the whole film makes her seem way more monstrous and inhuman, so when that suddenly goes away she starts getting framed as just an animal. Also her eyes are pretty. Also, I lied, that wasn't my favorite part of the film. My favorite part was Kong giving her chin scratches and that cute half-hug. This needs to be normalized. He needs to hug Godzilla next film. I will pay someone a king's ransom for this to happen. Final little detail, I like that Kong doesn't do his final roar from on her back but standing next to her, on the same level as all the other apes. He doesn't look to elevate himself over her or everyone else like Skar did, which is a great touch.
Also also also: Think it's time for a Doug solo film where he tries to steal all the Titans' food. Make it happen Legendary.
Much agreement here! I'd love for a solo Mothra MonsterVerse film to really capitalize on her lore and give her stuff to do (without dying at the end preferably); maybe establish some connection between the Chen family and Jia. Also, I need a little shot of Mothra going to visit Godzilla while he's sleeping in the Colosseum and just cuddle up to the big lug.
Andrews and Jia were a welcome breath of fresh air after GvK reversed Mark's characterization and Madison became... that. There was still some slight tension between Jia not feeling like she belongs and Andrews wanting to do right by her, even if it means possibly giving her up, only for Jia to go "you're my mom, you're my home, stop being dramatic". You love to see it.
Adding to the Doug solo film idea... Shimo adopts him because he's cute and she thinks his shenanigans are hilarious. Let us have fun wholesome times!

Protecter of The King
Godzilla x Reader
Chapter 1: Till’ We Meet Again
She knew he was there but refused to acknowledge him. He was her protector and she was his lover. A human in love with a Monster. Most people hated the fact that she was in love with that Monster but others were shocked. There kids weren’t fully human and in fact their son was rebellious. He did the unthinkable and woke his father up while raging to the extreme.
The monstrous creature appeared roaring really loud to let people know he was there. His lover on the other hand was highly disappointed. Was he showing off? No. He was just being Godzilla. You can’t expect to ever fall in love with a creature like that and not think that you’re going to have consequences. Godzilla was currently battling his own flesh and blood. He despised all of his kids for favoring their mom. He hated the fact that she let whatever they did harm him. She was on her last leg and she knew that going into that water would calm her.
Little did she know that Godzilla was right behind her while she was swimming. A lizard looking creature following a woman (human at that) would die but no she couldn’t die at all. He wouldn’t and couldn’t bring himself to do that to the one human being he loves and trusts with all his might.
“We have eyes on Godzilla.” One of the military men said.
“That’s his mate for life just so you all know.” The doctor told them.
“Getting her to him was easy.” The captain said.
“It’s not easy because she tends to run away from him a lot. Test him. Something she’s known to do.” The doctor said to them.
She was swimming towards shore and she knew he wouldn’t stop until they mated once again. He was hungry for her like he usually was after a fierce battle. But this hunger he had was a dangerous one. One that he could easily kill something, anything for her. Everyone knew the dangers but didn’t know how bad it was.
“He wants her and only her. He’s not going to stop until-“ The lady was cut off.
“Well we need to know what he’s doing.” The man said.
“For your information he’s trying to get to her. The faster he swims to her the more he’s going to wreak havoc.” The doctor said.
“So they’ve mated before?” The men asked him.
“Absolutely and they’ll do it again and again.” The doctor said.

The grey dust around them was almost like a dark curtain, separating them from the rest of the world. How fitting. The rest of the world didn't matter after all, not when it came to this.
To them.
It was always about them.
"Do we have to do this?"
No answer. Of course, there wouldn't be. If communication between them was possible, then their tragic fate would not repeat in a vicious cycle.
They would always arrive at this point, that was their nature.
Over and over again, the neverending violence followed by repair, some semblance of peace, almost hope that this time had been the last... and then, one day, it will all start again.
"Please, don't."
Fruitless pleas. As long as he refused to abandon this path, they would always end up here. Hurting each other once more.
Exhausting, all these damages. Getting back up. Starting again.
But they had to. One more time.
Godzilla roared.
The Tokyo Tower cracked and fell, broken once again, the shards of glass falling down with it, like the rain of glittering tears.
How tragic, to be always in the way.

There, Godzilla/Tokyo Tower, Angst with an Open Ending 😂
(it's a joke, I just saw your tags *again* calling me out for no Godzillas, so here you go 👉👉)
I couldn't give just a few words abt how HAPPY the Godzilla AU with actual Godzilla in it + perfect ship made me sjkjskkjsjs. So here, have a lot of words AND THANK YOU, I LAUGHED SO MUCH

You feel like a lot of characters in Owl House lost their edge after a while, but have you ever felt that some characters suffered from the opposite problem, i.e.: they become too edgy?
Honestly no, the hero characters become some combination of nice and dorky and the villains are nerfed, with one exception: Belos.
After King's Tide, his evil actions escalate: he's gone full feral by possessing and consuming dead animals, does the same thing to Hunter, kills Flapjack, tries to bodyhop into an unfinished grimwalker, possesses Raine, manipulates the Collector, attaches himself to the Titan's heart, and then turns himself into a kaiju whose very presence is a literal cancer to the isles.
Give this man a medal for going balls-to-the-wall bonkers and turning himself into Godzilla.
As fun as it is watching Belos going hog-wild on the Boiling Isles, he does lose his metaphorical teeth. Many fans have said that he was far scarier when he had an element of realism in his villainy as you could draw a lot of parallels between his character and real world ideologies.
You can't do that with a 50 foot tall kaiju monster who just roars.
Belos was also more effective when he was possessing Raine because his biggest strength is manipulation and appearing kind and compassionate when the reality is anything but.
Instead of turning Belos into a giant monster (which really only exists to show a cool fight scene that a lot of animated shows need to end on apparently), I wish the show focused more on his backstory and using that to lead to his ultimate defeat, especially since his story got more focus in the previous two episodes, so it's rather egregious that there is no mention of it at all in the finale. And no, I don't want to hear about how Belos doesn't "deserve" that kind of ending, this is about set up, pay off and audience expectation; if you spend two episodes showing us more information that changes our perception of your central antagonist, only for that information to not play any narrative or thematic role then you dropped the ball.

aauugghhHHH
mom and i saw the new godzilla movie, and i don't think i've been in a movie theater since Before Covid. anyway they made godzilla terrifying (but in a way that made me wish i could draw him because MAN are giant monsters friggin cool) and everytime he roared, i could feel it in my seat. also the music was great (lots of dread and hopelessness, made godzilla himself out to be less of a monster and more a horrible, unstoppable force of nature) and i loved all the characters (the captain and noda especially). it was a friday night well spent!

Rie Ota getting fitted for the Baragon costume in Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack (2001).
If you haven’t done so, check out the special features for this flick.  There’s a lot of “making of” content, including Ota-san roaring inside the suit while she portrays Baragon.
