GLOBISH ACADEMIA INC.
Soo.. I don't know where to start.. (hahaha joke.) But to sum it up..
This is the first time to get a part time job. Before, I was looking for a home-based job (because I'm lazy. jk) where I could spend my spare time with, unfortunately I didn't get hire. Last year, the first job I apply for is in RJ (acronym of the company), I prepare so much for this because I was excited to get an experience and well of course to have my own money. Since that was my first time applying, during the interview, I was so nervous that I couldn't help myself from shaking although the interview was only held via skype.. lol. But my excuse is acceptable aside from being a first timer, I was also suffered from glossophobia or speech anxiety which cause me from being speechless at that time. xD Anyway, the result is very predictable so after the interview, I didn't wait for the result and accept the fact that it wasn't for me..
My sister told me if I am still interested with this kind of job and she recommended me this starting company which is GAPI. I accepted her offer since I have a lot of free time at that time. (due to my 3 days a week class.) I applied on first week of July I think? it has the same process with the former company but there some differences. So this are the process:
1. Send your CV first to their e-mail... After a few days they will send you an e-mail regarding to your schedule of your assessment exam.
2. After you take the exam, you will be asked for you available time for the phone interview. (if you pass.!)
3. If you pass again, the company will send you a module that you will use in a demo class. (this is the last assessment exam that you have to pass before you will be a certified tutor!!!)
>As far as I remember you only have 25 mins. to perform the demo class. The one who call you via skype will pretend as a Thai student. And you will teach him/her according to the said module.
4. After passing all the assessment exam, you have to undergo with training which is divided in to 3:
-Thai Culture 101 -Basic Thai Language -Communication Skills and Online Teaching
then you can start plotting your schedule in their website. :)
5. Congrats!! you are now a certified english tutor!!
WELL... I was so happy I had passed the assessment examination. Actually, they are more friendly in terms of conducting an interview. I don't know, I just feel comfortable with them. But, unfortunately, it took me a long time to wait the exam results. But I understand them, since they are just a starting company. However, it's already the end of the week in the month of September and until now, I haven't start my training as well as my part time work. (︶︹︺) And I am in the dilemma of making a decision whether or not to continue this work, since at the end of October I have to start my internship and I am afraid that this could affect my schedule if I won't start as early as possible..
