How New Business Models are Disrupting the Industry – Telecom as a Service
The traditional models of the telecom industry date back over a hundred years, with ownership of infrastructure, long-term service contracts associated with that infrastructure, and centralized operations. All that is changing, however. New business models are disrupting the development, delivery, and consumption of telecom services. Perhaps the most telling is the Telecom as a Service (TaaS) model, in that it changes how companies within the telecoms sector operate and, indeed, interact with their customers. This model gives businesses flexibility and cost-effectiveness while keeping the customer at the forefront, and it raises many questions about the common dynamics of most industries. What is Telecom as a Service (TaaS)?
Telecom as a Service is a new service offering model which offers telecom services more scalably and agile than was traditionally envisioned. Replacing the classic fixed, long-term contracts customers are used to for specific service needs, TaaS represents an offering where businesses subscribe to telecom services in a much more modular and on-demand form. That would mean businesses would be allowed to use the same quality of communication infrastructure and services but without any front-end capital investment and long-term commitments typically involved. Better still, this system will place more control of the cost of services directly in the hands of large organizations. There is no upfront cost incurred by the company with infrastructure since services can be sourced from companies tailored to specific needs. For instance, a firm that experiences periodic hikes and dips in the usage of bandwidth can easily alter its service level monthly, paying only for the resources it would use.
This also helps the flexibility of customer care along with contract management. Toodles at not-so-flexible contracts with awful exit clauses. In a TaaS setting, contracts are rather shorter in size, and the providers offer well-designed platforms for account management, billing, and service levels. So this lends businesses more power as well as autonomy in their telecom dealings. Virtualization and Cloud Solutions
Virtualization stands as another much more significant technology backing Telecom as a Service. All of the older telecom models were basically based on physical infrastructure and networks. However, with virtualization, TaaS providers developed SDN and NFV, which are concepts that work in the direction of enabling internet-based delivery of telecom services rather than on physical hardware. Role of Artificial Intelligence and Automation
Another region where new business models are disorganizing the telecom industry includes related regions in terms of artificial intelligence and automation. These are introduced into the telecom services for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and friendliness.
For example, with AI-based chatbots, virtual assistants are applied more and more to deal with all sorts of queries and requests regarding support from customers. Such systems can easily find and solve issues instantly; therefore, the scope of human agents to more complex issues is only limited. Network optimization using AI enables telcos to identify and solve any potential problems before these hit customers. On the other hand, automated tools offer faster service provisioning and real-time monitoring of network performance, reductions in the frequency of disruptions and faster resolutions within the businesses.

How Visionaries Are Transforming the World?
The Future is Now
The world is undergoing a paradigm shift, driven by a new breed of visionaries who are not merely anticipating the future but actively shaping it. These pioneers are not confined to the realm of science fiction; they are real-world innovators whose ideas are reshaping industries, societies, and the very fabric of our existence.
Technology as a Catalyst
At the forefront of this transformation is technology. Artificial intelligence (AI), once a figment of imagination, is now a tangible reality, revolutionizing everything from healthcare to transportation. Self-driving cars, powered by AI, are becoming commonplace, promising to redefine urban mobility and safety. In healthcare, AI-driven diagnostics and personalized treatment plans are enhancing patient outcomes and extending lifespans.
Sustainable Innovation
Another hallmark of this era is a growing emphasis on sustainability. Visionaries are recognizing the urgent need to balance economic growth with environmental protection. Renewable energy sources like solar and wind power are becoming mainstream, while electric vehicles are gaining traction. Companies are adopting circular economy principles to minimize waste and maximize resource efficiency.
Healthcare Revolution Through Innovation
In the healthcare industry, visionaries are transforming patient care with the integration of artificial intelligence, genomics, and personalized medicine. AI-powered diagnostic tools are enhancing the accuracy and speed of disease detection, while genomic research is paving the way for treatments tailored to individual genetic profiles. Visionaries are also spearheading efforts in telemedicine and wearable health tech, making healthcare more accessible and proactive. These advancements not only improve patient outcomes but also reduce the overall cost of healthcare, making it more sustainable in the long term.
Smart Cities and the Internet of Things (IoT)
Urban development is another area where visionaries are making their mark. The concept of smart cities, driven by the Internet of Things (IoT), is becoming a reality. These cities utilize interconnected devices and data analytics to optimize everything from traffic flow to energy consumption. Visionaries are working on creating urban environments that are not only efficient but also enhance the quality of life for residents. This includes developing intelligent transportation systems, smart grids, and sustainable building practices.
Social Impact
Visionaries are also focused on addressing societal challenges. Entrepreneurs are developing innovative solutions to poverty, education, and healthcare. Online platforms are connecting people from diverse backgrounds, fostering collaboration and innovation. The rise of social enterprises demonstrates a growing commitment to creating a positive impact on society.
The Role of Leadership
Successful implementation of these transformative ideas requires visionary leadership. Leaders who can inspire, innovate, and execute are essential for driving change. They must possess a deep understanding of emerging technologies, a keen sense of societal needs, and the ability to build high-performing teams.
The Road Ahead
The future is undoubtedly bright, but it’s also complex and uncertain. The pace of technological change is accelerating, and the world is becoming increasingly interconnected. To thrive in this environment, individuals, businesses, and governments must embrace a mindset of continuous learning and adaptation.

What do we need to progress in our life? Achieving one’s dreams or goals require much more than a traditional education. It is the countless appurtenant supplementary and add-ons that are of much significance, that complete us. We need skills such as IT, soft skills, life skills, and foreign languages, amongst others, that make us whole and take us to the pinnacle of success.
It is a privilege for us to bring forth such a personality who doesn’t just personify the mentioned skills but is very much content with instilling them in our nation’s workforce. We present to you, Dr. Pratik Surana, Chief Mentor and Founder of Quantum Info trainers and Consultants Pvt Ltd.
Dr. Surana not only helps people develop life skills but he is a living example of proving wrong the disbelief of “Only after you study Engineering–Medical, you have a bright career.” Living by this mantra, he moved his track to Arts stream after completing an entire year of ‘Engineering’, and started his transition in a new direction.
No one would have imagined his brilliant virtue in his field back in 2000s. With his ingenious work, Dr. Pratik Surana changed the parameters of the age by conceptualizing ‘Personality Development’ as another area of work for a successful career.
“My aim is to create at least one million emotionally literate individuals by 2030 and make an entrepreneur every year”
The Commencement of the Curious Mind
Dr. Surana had a very humble beginning. His entire childhood was enriched because of his diverse experiences. His father had a business in photography and also worked as a real estate agent. Little Pratik had this curiosity of ‘why?’ throughout his childhood. He couldn’t comprehend the same question, which led him to become what he is today.
With excellence at language lessons and a quick grip at science, Dr. Surana pursued Engineering. However, soon he lost his interest and parted ways with this stream. Later, taking admission in B.A and B Com (Bachelor of Arts and Commerce simultaneously from two different universities at the same time) and being a helping hand to the family business, he came across an advertisement offering computer courses franchise. He took part in it and formed a partnership with his friends to open the franchisee.
The venture ran considerably for the next two years, however, once again, fresh opportunities on the new horizons were luring him. Going against a tough family decision, in 1995, Dr. Surana enrolled for a Management Course in Mumbai.
There he faced difficulties settling in. Yet, surpassing all the hurdles, he excelled in the first year with eyes set on Advertising and Branding for the subsequent year. There he came under the guidance of the ‘Ad Guru’ himself, Mr. Bharat Dabholkar. Mr. Dabholkar took Dr. Surana under his wing and provided him with a million-dollar experience.
After successfully completing MBA in 1997, despite being in a job, his desire for his ‘creative’ willingness to do something new, something fresh, drove him back to Mr. Dabholkar. Mr. Dabholkar perceived Dr. Surana’s motivation and his use of free time as he used to guide and recommend others. His suggestions turned out to be helpful and realistic.
Mr. Dabholkar advised him to provide the internal training itself. And this was the eureka moment that set up the ‘corporate training world’ in front of Dr. Surana. However, once again, while Dr. Surana was working in internal coaching, he caught the wind of a business proposal. There was an individual that wanted to form a franchisee of his computer institute. This franchise was of the large company – ‘Data-pro.’ He received the ‘Data-Pro’ franchisee and began his own institute in the Aundh region in 1999.
Later, the attack on America’s World Trade Center made ‘Data-Pro’ to decide to shut down the firm. The company would not return its royalty cash according to its agreement with the business. In that scenario, to return the money of their learners, it was essential to take a loan. It was a time of emergency.
During this crisis, Dr. Surana’s wife Anshima became the beacon of light. She came up with the idea to provide students with the same training just under a new different name and certification. She pursued students herself and assisted them in understanding the importance of their certificate and their future employment abilities. And this way, the first batch of Quantum Technologies graduated in 2001.
Taking Matter into His Own Hands
Today, under Dr. Surana’s excellent leadership, Quantum Infotrainers & Consultants plays a crucial role in addressing the industry gaps by training measures to build skills, supplement education, and broaden horizons through a variety of studies. The company improves the expertise of trainees in modern technologies such as organizational, administrative, and behavioural expertise. It helps them satisfy the needs of professional workers in the sector.
Over the years, the firm has served several satisfied clients, which include names like HSBC, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, TATA Auto components, Tata Tele Services, Coca-cola, Vodafone, Hitachi Consulting, and many more.
With their prolific services of the highest standard, innovative methodologies, qualitative output and market-oriented programs such as consultancy and executive coaching, Quantum Infotrainers & Consultants emphasis on coaching practices through a mix of conventional and new techniques. Headquartered in Pune, the firm operates across India and Singapore (ASEAN Region) with trainers and clients in UK, USA, Singapore, Vietnam, Philippines, Turkey, Serbia, and Slovenia.
The Peak Continues
After the company’s formation, it was just the right time to expand and reach the zenith of success. In 2006, Dr. Surana completed his MCA and brought ‘IT,’ ‘Soft Skill,’ ‘Life Skill’ and ‘Foreign Language’ under the banner of Quantum Info trainers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd.
Later in 2010, he did some research and got enrolled at an autonomous university for his Ph.D. There, he discovered that the Indian Companies provide similar, excellent training at a reduced price compared to the British and American Companies. Consequently, he worked hard and created two partners in England. In Vietnam, Serbia, and Slovakia, he has one partner each. He began his business in Singapore independently.
In 2014, he established a company called Quantum trainings Pte Ltd, in Singapore. The company has been engaged in various ASEAN geographies such as Singapore, The Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc. In 2016, he completed his Ph. D. in Emotional Intelligence from University of Southampton UK.
Dr. Surana cites his entire journey as a distinct route. Without fail, he expresses his appreciation towards his parents and friends alongside his neighbors and business partners. He deliberately points N. R. Narayana Murthy, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Dalai Lama, Azim Premji, Ratan Tata, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and Tim Lee Young to be his idols.
Dr. Surana has come a long way in overcoming the qualities of rhetoric, foresight, perseverance, self-motivation, and tribulations. While he says, “Enjoy what you are doing,” he also leaves resolutions, “I want to create at least one million emotionally literate individuals by 2030 and make an entrepreneur every year.”
Mission One Million Roadmap
With the set agenda of acknowledging emotions, Dr. Surana wants to contribute to society by assisting people by making them emotionally literate. He is of the opinion that emotional literacy can enhance the productivity, happiness, and overall quality of life. He plans to change the fabric of society.
The plan entails core sectors, including educational institutes, police department, and healthcare. The core reason behind the selection of these are based on the fact that a common Indian visit such sectors once in his/her life time. Our schools contribute and shape our future; healthcare workers deal with the biggest threats to the humankind; and law enforcement officers can bring out the biggest change in the society.
Quantum Info trainers and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. aims to conduct introductory sessions where people will understand emotions and how they impact our daily life. It will create a movement that will change the course of society by producing more emotional awareness. And in order to do so, the firm needs help from media partners, schools as venue partners, snacks and beverage partners, officers in the departments, and of course volunteers. The firm has set all kinds of benefits for partners as well as for volunteers.
