Besides the muzzle, glitchy eric has the exact same palette as the kit the fennec

Despite this fact, Kit has been confirmed to NOT have been inspired by the Eric/Blueckles glitch! He's actually more probably inspired by the aptly named "Cyborg Tails" right here (since Ian Flynn mentioned him being inspired by a blue Tails palette glitch):

(Whether or not Surge and Kit being cyborgs/originally meant to be androids being a reference to this is unlikely)

The inspiration is actually a bit more noticeable with Evan Stanley's concept art of Kit:

(Note the slightly more pastel blue with white highlights, the backpack coinciding with the red, and the eyes being hidden by goggles, giving the impression of them being black, while also maintaining the darker coloration with grey without being pure black. HELL, even the shoes are more accurately colored than finalized Kit.)
