You can ignore this.
What about a reader that got Stockholm Syndrome and feels that they don't deserve the affection they get from the chain so they show love towards the chain by waking before most of the chain early morning and making meals for the chain and fixing clothes they find damaged. Basically reader showing affection to the chain by doing domestic things for them.
Hmmmmmm….i can’t say I’ll do well…
Well...I can say this isn’t @yanderelinkeduniverse’s (y/n) (one of my many eternal muses) so you can choose whoever you want to be the star of this one.
Hopefully I did your request justice!
But anyway: here you go my friend!

The early morning air was cool and damp as (Y/N) carefully stirred from their bedroll, the familiar rustling of leaves and the distant call of birds filling the quiet camp.
The sky was just beginning to lighten, a soft gray hue filtering through the trees.
It was their favorite time of day, a time when everything felt calm, peaceful, and they could focus on showing their affection to the Chain in the only way they felt they could.
Quietly, (Y/N) slipped past the others. This time, it was Twilight and Time who were keeping watch on opposite sides of the camp.
Both acknowledged them with a brief glance, nodding silently as (Y/N) smiled in return.
(Y/N) didn’t notice the way their gazes lingered after they passed, how Twilight’s brow furrowed slightly in concern, or how Time’s lips tightened, his eyes narrowing at their every movement.
They reached the small pile of supplies they’d set aside for breakfast.
It was comforting to have a task, something they could do for the group. But as (Y/N) began preparing the meal, the familiar pang of guilt surfaced. Cooking was Wild’s passion, not theirs.
As they started to chop the vegetables, that guilt gnawed at them again.
‘This is something that brings him joy,’ (Y/N) thought, ‘I’m taking it from him.’ But Wild had always been so kind about it. He’d smile and tell them it was fine, that he didn’t mind.
Yet every time (Y/N) asked for permission to cook, and every time Wild gave it, the knot of guilt in their chest grew tighter.
‘He allows it’, (Y/N) tried to rationalize, stirring the pot with a slow, careful motion. ‘I’m not taking anything from him if he says it’s okay.’ And they needed to help in some way, to contribute. It was the least they could do for the Chain, who did so much for them.
But, as they worked, they failed to notice the subtle shifts around them.
Time’s watchful gaze had turned more focused, tracking every move (Y/N) made as though expecting them to falter.
Twilight’s sharp eyes followed their form, and when he shifted to check on the rest of the camp, his glance lingered a little longer than usual. Neither said anything, but there was something shared between them, an unspoken concern as they watched (Y/N) work.
The quiet was broken when Time approached them, his steps soft but deliberate. “Up early again?” His voice, as always, was gentle. His eyes, soft and affectionate.
(Y/N) looked up, offering him a small, sheepish smile. “I didn’t want to wake anyone.”
Time’s hand came to rest on their shoulder, his touch warm but firm. “You never do. You’re always so careful.” His words were meant as praise, but something in his tone made (Y/N) feel like it wasn’t quite a compliment.
Still, they took it in stride, smiling again as they continued to stir the pot.
“I’m almost done,” they said, hoping to shift the conversation. “Figured I’d finish up before everyone else wakes.”
Time’s hand didn’t leave their shoulder. His grip remained, not forceful, but strong. “You don’t have to do so much for us, you know,” he said softly, his voice carrying a strange mix of affection and something deeper.
There was a shadow of concern in his gaze, though (Y/N) didn’t notice it before it was hidden away swiftly. “We’d still care for you, even if you didn’t.”
(Y/N) smiled up at him, feeling their cheeks warm at his words. “I just… I want to help,” they said, brushing off the unease that briefly surfaced. Time smiled back, his eyes softening.
By the time breakfast was ready, the rest of the Chain began to stir.
Wild was the first to reach the fire, his hair still wild from sleep, and his eyes soft with that familiar warmth he always had when looking at (Y/N).
“Thanks for breakfast,” Wild said, his voice rough from sleep but laced with gratitude. “You didn’t have to do it, though. I could’ve handled it.”
“I know,” (Y/N) replied quickly, that familiar knot of guilt rising again. “I just… I wanted to help.”
Wild gave them a soft, almost sad smile as he reached out to gently ruffle their hair. “You always do. But don’t feel like you have to take my job, okay?” His voice was kind, but there was an undertone to it, a subtle hint that he was worried about something more than just the cooking.
(Y/N) laughed it off, feeling the guilt twist a little deeper.
‘He’s fine with it. He said so.’ But they couldn’t help the nagging voice at the back of their mind, reminding them that they were taking something precious from him. Something that he loved.
And yet… Wild never complained. None of them did.
As the rest of the group gathered for breakfast, (Y/N) found themselves sitting a little to the side, quietly watching the others eat. They didn’t notice the way the Chain’s eyes flicked back toward them, each of them sharing brief, worried looks when they thought (Y/N) wasn’t looking.
Legend’s sharp gaze lingered a little too long, narrowing slightly, as if calculating something.
Twilight’s lips pressed into a thin line, his brow furrowing in thought as he ate in silence.
(y/n) merely yawned, wondering if they shouldn’t have stood up the night before working in repairing Wild’s cloak. (It hadn’t been a cloak then, more like shreds of cloth.)
They didn’t notice, though, too focused on making sure everything had gone smoothly with breakfast, and too used to the constant presence of their protectors to see anything strange about it.
When the meal was finished, (Y/N) gathered Warriors’ tunic, noticing the small tear that had appeared near the hem.
They set about mending it, their hands moving with practiced ease. It was a small, simple task, but one they took comfort in. It felt good to help in any way they could.
But as they worked, they didn’t notice the way Warriors’ eyes followed them, a look of soft concern on his usually confident expression.
He didn’t say anything, just watched, his fingers twitching slightly as if he wanted to take the tunic from them, perhaps even the needle.
But he didn’t. Instead, he exchanged a glance with Hyrule, whose gaze flickered between (Y/N) and the fire.
“Are you alright?” Hyrule asked after a moment, his voice quiet and gentle. He sat down beside (Y/N), close but not too close, his body angled protectively as if ready to shield them from something.
(Y/N) blinked, surprised by the question. “I’m fine,” they answered quickly, offering him a reassuring smile. “Just fixing up some clothes. No big deal.”
Hyrule’s smile didn’t quite reach his eyes, but he nodded, accepting their words even though his gaze remained fixed on them, watching carefully, as though searching for any sign of strain or exhaustion.
The Chain’s affection surrounded them constantly, soft gazes, gentle touches, and quiet reassurances, but behind it all, there was a deeper worry that (Y/N) never noticed.
They didn’t see the way Time’s brow furrowed when they stayed up late mending clothes or the way Wild watched them a little too closely when they cooked.
They didn’t notice how Twilight hovered nearby, ready to step in at a moment’s notice, or how Legend’s gaze sharpened whenever they worked too hard.
To (Y/N), this was just love. Pure, simple love.
They had long stopped questioning the oddness of the Chain’s protectiveness.
(They didn’t see the possessiveness in their eyes or the way their concern often bordered on something more obsessive.)
They were safe. They were loved. And even if they didn’t feel worthy of all the attention, all the care the Chain gave them, they couldn’t deny the warmth it brought.
(And if there was more to it than that, (Y/N) remained blissfully unaware.)

Hey there, long time lurker.
I just wanted to know who the pumpkin-headed girl that apparently looks like (y/n) is? You seem to use her every Halloween, does she have a backstory or something? (Love your work, can't wait for the next rewrites!)
Hello! Thanks so much for enjoying my stuff! I hope to keep up the good work!
As for the spirit?
She's based on the dullahan spirits with a twist.
Her 'name' is Not!(y/n) (cheap I know, but it strangely works!)
She can take the pumpkin head off and black smoke would arise from the neck stump.
She's not into being maliciousness, just harmless teasing (like how she messed with Twilight and Sky in the first Halloween bit I wrote with her)
Luckily I have some backstory that I came up with for her~!
Not!(y/n) was just a thoughtless blank spirit. No proper conscious, maybe was a person or animal in another life but it's been so long they no longer 'are'.
Just attaching itself to living things and trying to exist even though it doesn't know why anymore (not that it has enough of a conscious to even understand) and would eventually fade away from lack of identity.
And (y/n) ended up passing by with the chain and the spirit ended up latching onto her with the last of its fading strength.
Normally the spirit would lose strength and eventually 'move on', but given the fact that (y/n) is traveling around with a bunch of heavy magic users (cause despite how little most of them use magic, they are doused in magic regardless)
Traveling through time, being surrounded by strong magic, and listening to (y/n), the spirit was basically growing 'attached' to her (pun intended).
Eventually it began to obtain a body, a mind, and identity.
But it separated from (y/n) long before it could fully form a complete 'body' so what do they choose to finish the whole style off?
A pumpkin!
Not!(y/n) is a gentle sweetheart who's very attached (hehe) to her Best Friend who she considers Home/Friend/Warm.
Now, as to why she calls (y/n) that, it's less she's calling her that with words but more she's identifying her with the feelings Not!(y/n) feels for her. (After all, it's thanks to (y/n) that the spirit was able to survive)
If you were to stand in front of her and hear her call (y/n) that, it's less you would 'hear' it, and more the sensation of home, of a dear friend, and of comforting warmth would pulse through you.
When it comes to the chain, she just sees the chain as Silly individuals that keep her Precious Person safe. (Even if none of them are properly aware of Not!(y/n)'s existence)
She's like skull kid, but much more sweet and doesn't actually commit malicious pranks without understanding the consequences. (...Well, no one had provoked her before this one-shot, but the statement stands!)
Basically (y/n) has a very platonic yandere in the form of a mischievous spirit who technically thinks of her as family whose been gaining strength as she lingers around the group.
Hope that answers your question!

🙋♀️ Hello, I have a couple questions. I’m new to the TTAU and I noticed that the chain describes “losing” their goddess and then getting sent back to their original journeys. Did something happen to Y/N? I also noticed that Y/N apparently went to someone else for an issue and that upset the Chain.
I assume these details were talked about on yanderelinkeduniverse’s old blog since you guys went back and forth with this AU a lot. Also! There was another fic where Warriors killed a captain(?) that apparently tried to get Y/N to shut up in the first timeline. Did that happen in a different fic or has that particular incident not been talked about in detail yet?
Thank you so much! I really love your writing. Thank you for sharing your talents with us ❤️
(Hello! Welcome to this side of the LU fandom!)
To answer your question, we couldn't decide on what happened so we simply chosen to keep what happened to (y/n) vague. Leave it to the imagination of the reader.
I mean, if I ever get to a point where I have to describe it, I'll make a decision then but for now, it's intentional vague.
As for (y/n) going to someone else and upsetting the chain. Back when they were still fledging yanderes (If someone has a better name for a baby yandere, tell me😖) they really hated when she talked to anyone outside the group ESPECIALLY any of the Zeldas.
Basically they don't care for their Zeldas, it's a whole thing but part of it is because many of the Zeldas want to get rid of (y/n), cause she's an outsider in their eyes and 'stealing the attention of THEIR Hero, and the chain hate being seen as the princess' possession.
When they were super clinging and suffocating towards (y/n), she ended up talking to the princesses, who kept urging her to stay away from them/help her find a way home.
Sadly due to Yandy's old blog being deleted without warning, a lot of details were lost 😞
In TTAU, to put it bluntly, the heroes basically end up getting put in time out due to Dink's shenanigans ending up interfering with Hylia's magic and causing them to be sent back to the start of their journeys with their memories intact whereas everyone else, the goddess, Dink, and including (y/n), don't remember.
So they train and get stronger and richer in order to protect and provide for their darling who they all want to be with for the rest of their lives.
And (y/n) gets a harem of yanderes basically.
And as for the Warriors fic, technically this happens in the TTAU timeline, I need to rewrite that one too...
It simply hasn't happened yet in the rewrites.
( I hope this all answers your questions! If you have anymore, be free to send it to me! )

I have a total rejection of yanderes, yanderes give me a horrible anguish because yanderes are my limit
however, a friend recommended your mafia au series to me and it caught my attention when mentioned a redemption arc
after reading all the chapters of this au, I can say that even I liked it and enjoyed it, but mainly because they try to change and do the morally right thing, i still feel uneasy because they are still yanderes and I don't know what they will do in the future but if things continue like this, I will read every part
you are doing an excellent job, keep it up
Oh…wow! This is high praise indeed!
I love Yanderes as much as the next simp.
But honestly? I love how they are lovey to their darling but harsh towards others.
I mean, Yanderes who are delusional is understandable.
But so delusional that they hurt their darling and try to rationalize it? Eeeh… never sat right with me.
Let everyone else have their own type of Yandere.
I like the one I have right here.
Like…don’t get me wrong, the chain still would murder someone in cold blood if (y/n) was harmed.
Beat people until they are in the hospital eating from a Tube? Yup!
Threatening and traumatizing people? Absolutely.
Destroying reputations and blackmailing people who try to do the exact same to (y/n)? Without a doubt.
But directly do something to their darling? Nah. We have enough one-shots and fanfics with that.
Let them be absolutely lovestruck fools for their darling.
Let them stutter and embarrass themselves and share secrets and be vulnerable with her.
But if anyone wants them to actively toxic towards her? Either they write said fanfic themselves, or find another Yandere blog.
So hopefully I keep up the praise-worthy work!
Thank you for this! It means a lot!

hey would it be okay for someone to just. send u an au idea/scenario. like unrelated to any of your stuff just this au concept that's been bouncing around in the idea box. specifically a yandere!chain/reader scenario. asking for a friend
I mostly write for myself. But I suppose I see no reason for people to send me au idea/scenarios.
If anything, it’ll probably inspire me to write it!
So…yeah! Go ahead!

Why do you focus on the heroes specifically? It's been on my mind for a while, is that okay to ask?
Don't get me wrong I love you work! But is there a reason why you focus more on the heroes rather than on (y/n)?
It's okay to ask! No harm done!
As to WHY? Well, I'd liken it to being one side of the full AU.
@yanderelinkeduniverse created the (y/n) used for this AU, and the (y/n) I use is her's.
yeah, there's gonna be times when an anon sends asks that make (y/n) act differently. Out of character, In those cases, the (y/n) I use isn't the main one of the AU. Just a variation, I tend not to be descriptive of her appearance anyway, so reader's can choose what she looks like. (Despite there technically being a version that's used already, buts that my personal preference)
(All (y/n)s are accepted of course, but the one I mainly use is not of my creation)
I'd like to think that both yandere LU's blog and my blog show two different sides of not just the chain, but (y/n) herself.
Me? I focus on the heroes, try to get in their heads, try to figure what they see and think when their darling is involved.
In their perspective, she can do no wrong, she is better than even the gods.
But if we looked at Yandy's blog, we see she's JUST a normal college student who had the luck of being yanked into Hyrule. She chose to treat the chain with kindness and understanding. Something that she would give ANYONE. To her, she's not acting any different than normal, not treating anyone any different than she normally would, despite her circumstances.
I believe I show a version of (y/n) through the heroes' eyes.
Yandy shows a version of the chain through (y/n)'s eyes.
Not to say we don't do our best to show the opposite as well! I genuinely adore the HCs Yandy comes up with for the chain. I'd like to think I come up with some good ideas for (y/n) as well.
But at the end of the day, I'm just a huge fan of Yandy's AU like everyone else and base my writing around it. I just happen to focus more on the chain than I do (y/n).

When I asked for your opinion on Humans Are Hylian Space Orcs I wasn't expecting headcannons of how you think the links would react 😭❤️. I'm not complaining 👀
My headcannon for this au, which I already mentioned to another of my favorite writers, is that the mass and volume in Hyrule is lighter than in our world.
I just thought of that because I think it would be funny if some really huge beast tried to ram the reader to the ground to attack them but they didn't move an inch, and the beast tried again and seeing that nothing happened and that it ended up on the ground from the impact, the beast looks silently at the reader and stays on the ground in an act of submission because giving up might make this abomination take pity on his soul and not tear off his limbs to leave him dying-
and reader would just stay confused like "....what? 🤨"
Ahhh I can just see it now
The heroes holding off a horde of monsters. Reader having just finished off a couple of smaller enemies when a riderless beast (maybe one of those Bullbos from Twilight Princess??) charges at them, its weight rattling the ground.
The beast rears up, clearly expecting Reader to crumble under the impact. But as it collides with them, it finds itself stopped dead in its tracks, like it’s slammed into a stone wall.
Reader doesn’t budge, not even a step (certain startled by suddenly being bumped by this large creature), while the beast’s shock ripples through the air. It backs up, bewildered, and charges again, only to meet the same immovable force.
It’d stumble backwards, probably shaking its head in frustration.
This time, it tries ramming at an angle, hoping to knock Reader off balance, but once again, the creature slams into an invisible wall of resistance, its large weight somehow not enough to even nudge them, maybe jolt them a bit. (But that’s less cause the Bullbo was strong enough to move them them, and more cause Reader just didn’t have proper footing in the unsteady ground.)
Reader would just blink, looking down at where the creature’s hooves had dug into the ground, their expression puzzled.
After a long, silent moment, the beast lets out a low rumble, almost a whine, its huge body sinking to the ground in front of them. It lays its head on the earth as best as it can, looking up at Reader with an almost pleading gaze (which is freaking Twilight out cause he as NEVER seen a Bullbo do that), as if begging for mercy.
Reader would just tilts their head, raising an eyebrow. “…What?”
And then awkwardly pats the suddenly submissive creature.
From across the battlefield, the rest of the Chain would just stare, slack jawed, as Reader awkwardly stands over the monster that seems to be outright submitting to them. Warriors watches, dumbfounded, and Legend mutters, “Did they just… make that thing surrender?”
Twilight chuckles weakly, and probably trying to decide if he should freak out or pull Reader far from the usually aggressive beast, shaking his head in disbelief. “They don’t even realize how terrifying they are, do they?”
Wind, never missing an opportunity, smirks. “Maybe we should start sending them in first.”

I remember seeing this idea somewhere but I don't remember where (TOH probably), but here's a thought: chain w/ reader who almost immediately falls asleep whenever they're hugged?
Oh my gosh, that’s adorable~! The Chain would absolutely adore this, and it would quickly become a thing for them, like, hugs are now a sacred ritual to lull Reader into a nap~
———
the second Reader falls asleep on Time. He won’t even flinch, just adjusts his stance and cradles them like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
If anyone makes noise or tries to interrupt their nap? Oh, no. They’re getting the Look. You know the one, the ‘I am this close to ending you’ Look.
He’ll murmur something like, ‘Rest now. I’ll keep watch,’ and probably stay rooted to the spot for hours if that’s what Reader needs. He’s just that solid.
—
Twilight is m e l t i n g the first time this happens. Reader trusts him that much? He’s trying so hard to play it cool, but internally, he’s a puddle.
He’ll either scoop them up bridal, style or shift into wolf form so they can nap on him. Either way, he’s not letting anyone disturb them.
If someone starts to get loud enough for Reader to stir. They’d hear a low growl from the back of his throat, and suddenly it’s dead silent. Twilight’s scary good at making sure no one messes with Reader’s rest.
—
Wild’s reaction is a mix of ‘????’ and ‘oh…oh I like this.’ He thinks it’s the cutest thing ever but also panics for like a hot second the first time it happens.
‘Did they just—? Are they okay??? Oh, they’re sleeping. Got it.’
(Totally pretends he didn’t panic there.)
Once he realizes this is just how they are, he totally uses it to his advantage. Bad day? Wild’s like, ‘C’mere, you need a hug.’
and boom: Reader’s asleep in five seconds.
They lay on him? He’s gonna hold them no matter what he’s doing. He’ll keep them close while he cooks, holding Reader with one arm and stirring the pot with the other. Total multitasking king.
—
Legend, of course. pretends to be huffy. He rolls his eyes, mutters something,
but don’t let him fool you, he loves it.
He’ll sit down and make sure they’re comfortable, maybe throw his cloak over them to keep them warm. If anyone teases him, though, he’ll snap back, “Shut up. They’re tired.”
Secretly, he’s so smug about it. Like, they fell asleep on me, not you. He’s absolutely keeping track of how many times it happens compared to the others.
—
Oh, sweet Hyrule is absolutely flustered. The first time Reader falls asleep on him, he freezes like a deer in headlights. “Oh no! Are they okay? Oh… oh, they’re just napping.”
Once he gets over the initial panic, he becomes Reader’s favorite pilow. He’s the type to find a quiet spot, wrap them in his cloak, and hum softly while they nap.
If anyone wakes Reader up early, though? He’s got that sharp little smile, like, “You’re not very considerate…are you?” Yeah, they won’t do it again.
—-
Sky is all soft smile and quiet laughter when they fall asleep on him, holding Reader close and moving very carefully so he doesn’t wake them.
If this were to happen on Skyloft, his Loftwing would be immediately on alert, ready to make sure no one gets too close. (Cause no way his Loftwing wouldn’t be as attached to Reader like their Rider is) If he has to fly somewhere, he wraps Reader in his sailcloth and holds them tight.
Sky absolutely treasures these moments. He’ll even hum or sing softly while they rest, like a walking lullaby.
—
Warriors is such a flirt about it, but inside? He’s losing it from the adorableness. The fact that they trust him enough to just conk out in his arms? Yeah, his heart is gone.
‘Guess I’m too comfy for my own good.” he’ll tease, but he’s already shifting them to a better position and making sure their cozy.
People are getting death glares if they try to wake Reader up, and a curt, “Do you mind? They’re sleeping.” rReader is his top priority, no question.
—
Wind thinks it’s the best thing ever. The first time they fall asleep on him, he’s grinning from ear to ear, holding them like he just won the lottery.
He’s so smug about it. If anyone else says something, he’s like, “What can I say? They like me best.” He’ll absolutely rub it in the others’ faces.
If they’re cold, he’ll wrap them in in sooo many blankets. Probably wrap himself in there too,. He won’t move until they wake up, even if he starts to get restless.
—-
Four is absolutely enchanted. He smiles softly the first time it happens, adjusting his hold on them with such care.
His colors are all over the place. Red is thrilled, Blue is smug, Green is quietly happy, and Vio is already strategizing how to make it happen more often.
Four will sit somewhere comfortable, holding them like they’re the most precious thing in the world. He might even hum quietly or run his fingers through their hair while they sleep.
—-
Also? Cuddle piles. Are. A thing.
It’s inevitable! Either Four when he splits. Wild and Twilight. Legend and Rulie. Blah blah blah.
But if Reader is in the right position, the others wil use THEM as a pillow too. And of course, cuddle piles become nap piles.
Fun times~

I've been thinking about this a bit and wanted to know your opinion, but every time they involve Reader and The Chain in an isekai, Reader knows the Links from video games.
But what if she/he/they knew about The Chain through The videogames, the comic and the writings it reads on Tumblr, just like we do? A Yandere content writer or consumer of said content, Reader will know how to read the signs and avoid becoming obsessed with she/he/they
Or no
Or you can choose to make them obsess over You, why go back to the stress of modern life where everyone is doing everything they can to survive? Why not just stay and pretend ignorance? Why not be pampered to the extreme and never lift a finger again? Sorry for the people who got hurt in your name, but you didn't know any of them deeply and you didn't witness the scene either, so why bother with something that doesn't affect your new life? Of course You would have to pretend to be stubborn so they don't suspect And being very good to them, but that is already returning the affection they give you, a reward for what they do for you...,all that sounds much better than worrying about working, saving, paying bills...
this is such a juicy premise, won’t lie. A self-aware Reader who knows everything about the Chain.
Like…Wild would blush furiously if they casually mentioned cooking all the stat-boosting meals he used to make.
Or Legend would probably be smug if they quoted his exploits from the games or stories or how people talk about his adventure decades after they were told.
Hyrule might be freaked out at first (like, people know of his journey??? People know about HIM???) but would eventually see it as proof Reader was meant to know them on a deeper level.
and all of them would take it as a personal challenge to live up to every expectation Reader’s have of them.
Now…let’s think about it a bit
Reader would know exactly what’s happening when they catch the boys watching them too closely, when their protective behavior ramps up, or when they subtly isolate Reader from others. They’ve read this all before, heck, Reader might’ve even written about it.
They’d immediately try to keep a safe distance, avoiding favoritism or letting them get too close. But let’s face it, The Chain isn’t going to let that happen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
They’d be hyper away if Reader’s behavior. The second they start acting evasive, they’ll probably see it as a sign that they’re scared of something and need even more of their ‘protection.’
They might ‘accidentally’ stumble upon Reader’s escape attempts, but make it look natural enough that Reader can’t tell if they are actually aware of their attempt or if they actually stumbled upon them.
Now~ if Reader either consumed or written yandere content, then they are painfully aware of how the chain react to resistance. Every attempt to push them away just makes them cling tighter. Reader is caught in the trap of knowing too much, and that knowledge doesn’t make it any easier to escape.
In fact, Reader would probably overthink the chain’s habits and words and stuff like that (if they are an overthinker.)
Hyrule’s innocent smile, Legend’s sharp tongue, Warriors’ charming words. They ARE genuine.
But they’re also all masks, and Reader would know it. But they also know that the chain will use every trick in the book to keep them if they get a hint that Reader wants to leave.
If they ever find out Reader knew about them from games, comics, and fanfiction? Oh, it’s over. They’ll think it’s destiny, that Reader was meant to be theirs.
Like, I can genuinely see Sky say something like ‘You’ve always known us,” and he’s say it with a gentle, almost eerie smile. “You were always meant to be here.”
And everyone KNOWS if Sky makes such a decision, then they are ALL gonna be stubborn too.
And…
if Reader DECIDES to play along, well can anyone blame them?
Modern life is stressful. Bills, jobs, societal expectations, don’t even get them started on the chaos around the world.
it’s all exhausting. Reader would realize they could have a life of comfort and adoration if they just… stop fighting it.
Sure, they might have some murderous tendencies, but Reader’s read enough fanfiction to know how to keep them happy. Play along, stay on their good side, and reap the benefits of being their one and only obsession.
And if Reader is an introverted who doesn’t like being near too many people and prefers to stay home. Then even better for them! (Both Reader and the Chain)
Reader would make a conscious effort to pretend ignorance. When Wild smiles just a little too widely or Twilight’s growls seem directed at someone standing too close to them, They even feign obliviousness when they see a bit TOO much red on their clothes. (Though Reader would probably find a way for them to NOT kill anyone. Beat the hell out of? Sure no problem. Kill? eeeeh…not so much.)
Reader would reward their affection with kindness. compliments, gratitude, maybe even initiating a hug now and then. It keeps them sated, like giving treats to a pack of overprotective wolves. (Twilight is definitely doing the growly growls of happiness when Reader runs their fingers through his hair.)
Like…Reader knows they’ve probably already done a lot of terrible things in their name, but… well…Reader didn’t witness it, and it doesn’t affect their day-to-day life. It’s easy to compartmentalize when they treat them like royalty, their sole focus on keeping Reader happy.
Time would bring them tea, Warriors would ensure they’d never uncomfortable, and Sky offers you soft, soothing music. Wild hums and cooks. Why go back to stressing about rent when Reader can have this?
I mean…they’d have to pretend to be stubborn at times, just enough to keep the chain from getting suspicious. Let’s face it, if Reader is too accommodating, they might worry they’re hiding something or question why they aren’t more wary.
The trick is to keep them believing Reader is slowly being won over. Let them think their affection is working, and they’ll continue pouring their energy into doting on them rather than spiraling into paranoia.

Thanks for answering my ask! Hope it wasn't too weird skfj
I feel like the first time she hugs anyone back be it Hyrule or Twilight (wolfie. Wolfie gets it first) and everyone else wants to know what happened she immediately gaslights them all like "I have no idea what you're talking about. That never happened. Y'all sure you aren't hallucinating again?" (this does not work on any of them but they do it anyway because ✨denial✨) Once she's more comfortable she's probably stopping mid hug at some point to ask if they're doing it right (still keeps the knife though. just in case. probably has extras stashed away somewhere)
Probably also the type of person who accidentally throws punches when spooked. Has done this to Sky once and sulked for the rest of the day bc they felt awful about it
Again, huge fan of tropes where people are basically just stray cats so thanks for indulging my thoughts lol
Ohhh, anon, this is gold~
I love the image of (y/n) reluctantly hugging Wolfie first because, y’know, he’s just a wolf, right? Nothing suspicious, totally normal. (Twilight would be so smug, but only after he shifts back to his Hylian form where she can’t see his tail wagging like crazy.)
And the gaslighting? Ha! I approve!
“Me? Hug? Pfft. Never happened. Y’all need to get your heads checked. Next, you’ll be saying I bake cookies for y’all every week or something, oh wait, that’s just Wild hallucinating again.” (Everyone: 👀)
The “Am I doing this right?” mid-hug moment would just wreck them. Like, imagine you’ve been dreaming of this day, you’re finally getting a hug from the most stubborn, self reliant, knifehoarding person you know, and then they stop to nervously ask if they’re doing it correctly. 🥺 Heart. Melted.
‘Is this okay? Should I… squeeze more? Less? Wait, am I crushing your ribs?!’
‘No, no, you’re perfect..’ Time would insist, voice cracking a little, trying not to tear up while the others glare daggers because they wanted a turn first.
Also YES on the stray cat vibes! She’s got the knife, she’s got the extra knives, and she accidentally decks Sky in the face when he spooks her. The poor man’s just trying to give her a plate of snacks, and BAM! Sky’s on the ground with a bloody nose, and she’s sitting there sulking because oops, her bad.
Sky: I-it’s fine! I’m fine! This is fine! -Bleeding profusely but trying to downplay it.-
(y/n): ‘…I hate it here.’
(He gets hugs as an apology later, cause she DOES feel super guilty. But he should know she doesn’t like being snuck up on!)
Honestly, the Chain would probably love this about her, though. She’s like this weird mix of feral and soft, and they’re (of course) obsessed. They’d absolutely gang up on her with hugs once she starts tolerating them more, and she’d just be stuck in the middle of a Hero Pile™, knives stashed under the cushions completely useless against the sheer weight of their affection.
Anon, your thoughts are perfect, and I hope you know I’m grinning ear to ear writing this. Keep ‘em coming!

I think If I have to choose a toxic dynamic specifically for yandere LU x Reader it would be 'obsesseds (The Chain) x knows it, just don't care (Reader)' (Is this a toxic dynamic? I have people telling me no and other people telling me yes)
Anyway, I don't know what time it is where you live but here it's almost 1am.So I came to say good night to you.
I hope your day has gone better and you have given yourself moments of rest,If someone makes you feel stupid, remember that in the U.S. people are suing Cotsco for not specifying that butter contains milk.
Nighty night (◡ ω ◡)
—Double Anon
Oh…Ooooh this is such a fun dynamic to explore~
It’s oddly amusing, especially when Darling is just chilling while the boys are quietly losing their minds. Let me throw some headcanons your way~
Darling? They know. Like, they’ve absolutely clocked the way the Chain gets weirdly tense when someone new approaches, or how their polite smiles toward outsiders feel like a mask for something… darker.
But do they care? Nope. Darling just shrugs it off like, “Eh, they’re a little intense, but at least they’re cute.” Meanwhile, the Chain is barely holding it together.
It’s almost funny how Darling can just brush past these moments. Someone flirts with them? The Chain’s hackles are raised, and they’re this close to losing it, but Darling? Darling’s just like, “Wow, you’re really bad at pick up lines,” and keeps walking.
And if it’s a town they travel to often, well, Darling isn’t gonna really notice if the person suddenly isn’t around anymore.
Now if the chain had to be sneaky with their distaste in regards to outsiders when she wasn’t aware.
Then this is how they handle Outsiders for this idea.
I mean, yes they try to keep their darker tendencies under wraps for Darling’s sake, but the second an outsider gets too close? Yeah, no, the mask slips. Fast.
Outsider makes a harmless comment? Wild’s suddenly “practicing’ his bow, and wouldn’t you know it? His arrows keep landing way too close for comfort.
Warriors has this scary polite way of shutting people down. “Oh, I’m sure you didn’t mean to sound so…familiar. You must not know who you’re speaking to.” All with a smile that definitely doesn’t reach his eyes.
Twilight’s wolf instincts come out hard. He’s standing too close, growling softly, and giving death stares that make the intruder backpedal real quick. Darling doesn’t even bat an eye (if this was the modern world, she’d be scrolling in her phone and not even looking up. But for this scenario, let’s say she was messing with Wild’s slate). “Twilight, stop scaring people.” (He doesn’t btw.)
Oh, Wild is subtle when he wants to be… until he isn’t. He’s got this cheeky grin like he’s just having fun, but the way he “accidentally” shows off his weapons or makes veiled threats? Not subtle at all. If Darling compliments his cooking mid-chaos? Boom, instant puppy mode. He’ll forget the outsider even exists. (Until the outsider opens their mouth)
Time’s the calm terror. Time doesn’t need to say much; his presence alone does all the work. He’ll stand behind Darling, arms crossed, just watching. Outsiders always leave feeling like they narrowly avoided death. Time? He’s sitting next to Darling and nodding along to their rambling like nothing happened.
Twilight is feral when it comes to Darling. He’s the one who physically steps between them and any “threat.” His low growls and glares are enough to send most people running. Darling calls him “protective” with a fond laugh, and Twilight melts. “Just looking out for you.”
Sky’s all polite smiles, but it’s the kind of politeness that has an edge. He’ll kindly suggest someone leave while casually resting his hand on his sword. If Darling notices, she just raises a brow. “Sky, you’re doing the thing again.” He coughs and backs off… for now.
Legend’s not even trying to hide his irritation. He’s all sharp words and grumpy glares. “What are you even doing here? Go away.” If Darling teases him about being jealous, he gets all flustered but secretly loves the attention.
Sweet Hyrule, oh he’s my favorite to think about sometimes~ he gets mean when someone steps out of line. His usual shyness disappears, Hyrule’s all sweet smiles and soft-spoken words. Outsiders might even mistake him for the least threatening of the group, but that’s only because they don’t know what lies beneath his gentle demeanor.
His fae side doesn’t take kindly to intruders. There’s a sharpness to him when someone steps too close to Darling, his voice lilts in that sing song way that feels wrong, like it’s hiding something deadly.
but when an outsider gets too bold, he can’t resist leaning into it. His tone is light, but his words cut deep, pricking at the edges of their nerves like thorns.
“You’re awfully bold for someone who doesn’t know what they’re walking into,” he’ll murmur, tilting his head just slightly. His smile remains warm, but his eyes seem to glow faintly, catching the light in an unnatural way.
Maybe at one point an outsider tried to follow Darling a little too persistently and Hyrule led them into a patch of woods and disappeared, letting the fae magic of the land take over. (After a visit to the nearest Great Fairy fountain) The intruder swore they could hear whispers, feel hands tugging at their clothes, and see eyes gleaming in the shadows.
When they finally stumbled back out, pale and shaken, Hyrule was there waiting, looking as innocent as ever. “Oh, you look like you’ve had a rough time. Maybe you should leave.”
Darling just brushes a stray leaf from his hair or calls him her protector, his fae instincts hum with satisfaction. Protecting her feels right, like it’s written into his very being.
Warriors? Oh, he’s scary good at being threatening without ever losing his charm. He’ll lean in close, all smiles, and say something like, “You should go before you overstay your welcome.” The other person leaves immediately. Darling just laughs. “Warriors, stop scaring people off.” (He absolutely won’t.)
Wind’s not subtle at all. He’s glaring, throwing sarcastic remarks, and finding any excuse to step in and make the outsider uncomfortable. If Darling ruffles his hair or calls him her “little troublemaker,” he instantly forgets why he was mad and becomes unbearably smug.
Four’s got this layered thing going on where his personalities are all just slightly off. One moment he’s quiet and polite, the next he’s throwing out unsettling one liners like, “Careful where you step. Not all traps are meant for monsters.” Darling notices the shift but just humors him. “Four, be nice.”
As a group, if an outsider tries to flirt or get too close, the Chain immediately closes ranks around Darling. It’s like a silent agreement, they don’t even need to speak. Suddenly, Darling’s surrounded, and the poor outsider is being quietly herded away.
Darling, of course, notices. “Wow, you guys really hate sharing, huh?” she teases. The Chain collectively pretends they don’t know what she’s talking about.
The second the outsider’s gone, they’re all vying for her attention. Wild’s offering food, Sky’s planning a Loftwing ride, Twilight’s hovering protectively, and Wind’s complaining about needing cuddles to make up for the stress. Darling just sighs, letting them indulge her because honestly? It’s easier than arguing.
So…yeah, this dynamic? Equal parts amusing and entertaining (for us. Not so much outsiders!).
I mean. They’re ARE all trying to be on their best behavior, but the second an outsider shows up, their true colors peek through…a lot…and it’s all kinds of unsettling (for anyone not part of their circle).
Darling’s just living her life, completely unfazed, while the Chain tiptoes the line between their devotion and madness.

Your dear double anon has returned
Anyway, I hope you had a good night's sleep and breakfast, because I'm back with more thoughts on LU I had this at 4am when I couldn't sleep (that's exactly why this sounds so far-fetched and mixed, perhaps a little meaningless(?)
I've been thinking a lot about Villain Chain lately, you know, by cloudninetonine. Also in humans are hylian space orc reader but that comes later and thinking a lot about cloudninetonine basically since I reread his/her mess au.
This is all set in mess au, in fact.
So far I have only found three writings that involve them and I have not found any more, which is a shame, because I'm interested in the concept of when a hero is a villain and a villain is a hero, I've always been a fan of role reversals in any context.
And one of the writings I read was about how they became like this when their guide/Reader/player died and they made a huge statue for them as a tomb and they see the guide/Reader/player from the original chain and kidnap them to maintain it and so on (this no has minimal relevance, I just woke up very talkative, although I'm sure I sent you messages yesterday)
Yeah, wrong, but I've kept them in mind because, remember the yandere version of cloudninetonine's chain? Where they're older and guide/reader/player isn't really their guide/reader/player but they think it is? Well, here I came up with an interesting continuation.
guide/reader/player is not really the guide from the original chain either.
Whether it's Dark Link or Villain Chain, they corner the reader and are like 'aha! You have no escape, little guide' and with a blank expression guide simply (when the adrenaline and fear have passed), grabs the blade of the sword that is pointing at their neck and bends it.
Here is the first clue that something is wrong, if it is Dark Link, whether by this action or not, he realizes that there is something wrong with the guide, it is not as he remembers it. If it is Villain Chain, there is bewilderment because the guide who described that shadow that plans to betray them did not resemble the guide they had before them who was not affected by magic, potions or weapons.
is not the guide that Dark Link remembers or that he described to Villain Chain because it turns out that is not the guide either, Reader is a guide but not of that specific chain.
Either because Hylia was confused or she searched for a stronger guide/Reader to stop Dark Link she simply looked for a Reader/Guide who she felt had even a modicum of power over the Hylians and found Guide/Reader from Human are Hylians Space Orc.
But that's where my train of thought ends.
Looking back after getting a proper night's sleep and reading this out loud, I feel like this was so far-fetched but my tired, sleep-deprived brain couldn't figure it out in time.I'm not particularly satisfied with these ideas, but perhaps I'll salvage something for the future.
Or maybe I'm thinking of ideas for a Villain Guide/Reader/player getting to know everyone, seeing as how no one has really done anything like this and some players can be evil in video games.
—double anon (since you already know my problem with Tumblr and the fact that I have to send at least two messages for one to arrive, I wasn't sure if I should give myself a name because my attention span It's null and void and I bounce from fandom to fandom every week. and I disappear the moment I decide to give myself a anon name, but I've been paying attention to Linked Universe for over a month, and I think that's reason enough to know that I won't disappear anytime soon, although I have your Tumblr profile saved in my Google bookmarks anyway so I'll still come visit even if it disappears)
This is a doozy. (Quite the long one, tad overwhelming. 😅) I’m not that familiar with villain chain? Let’s see what I can do with what I can figure out.
One thing I realized is that When Reader sees how the Villain Chain practically worships them, they’re baffled.
To this Reader, adventure games are meant to be just that, games.
The idea that she’d be revered as an actual deity is unsettling, and she’s torn between keeping up the act to protect herself or leveling with them. If she lets on that she isn’t their Guide, the Chain only becomes more obsessed, deciding she needs saving from whatever memories she’s ‘lost.’
And if she realized the Chain has suffered from the loss of THEIR Guide, Reader tries to gently reason with them, perhaps offering compassion?
Big mistake sadly. The moment they show even a hint of softness, the Chain decides Reader has truly “returned” to them. They double down on their devotion, misinterpreting kindness as affection, and it fuels their possessiveness.
To jog ‘memories,’ the Villain Chain might recreate locations or scenes from the past with the old Guide.
They could go to absurd lengths ya know, clearing whole areas, painting fake backdrops, even dressing up in the same worn, ragged clothes they had when they met the Guide. Reader plays along, but she’s constantly trying to figure out an escape plan, as she now knows nothing she says or does will convince them she’s not their Guide.
The Chain takes turns watching Reader, monitoring her behavior for signs that she’s “returning” to them. This means Reader can hardly go anywhere without someone at her side or in the shadows. Even a sigh or a glance could be analyzed endlessly.
Twilight would try to remind Reader of the old days by isolating her in forests or mountainous regions, telling tales of their past escapades.
He thinks being in these familiar places will awaken her ‘true self.’ But when this doesn’t work, he only becomes more frustrated, insisting that Reader must remember and that her real memories are just buried.
Hyrule would repeatedly try to heal Reader, convinced they’re suffering from some curse.
Every time Reader resists or tells him to stop, he assumes it’s the curse talking and only becomes more insistent, going as far as sneaking healing spells while she’s asleep or distracted.

helllo! I haven’t really seen rules for request and I’m not sure if your open butt I have a request that i got inspired by seeing another asker on Yandere Linked Universe. Ahem Platonic Yandere Chain x Fi Reader!
How would that go for headcanons? I know it be complicated because chosen hero and basically saving the world but let’s also say that Fi Reader was the only consistent thing that help Link through battles and advice (only hearing her chimes and voice, they don’t what she looks like expect for Sky)
lol I’ve never been good with these types of ask but uhh gotta try sometimes! Also can i be the 💫 anon lol?? Sry i get nervous when asking these things
Of course, 💫 Anon! Welcome to the blog, and thank you for this lovely ask!
Alright, let’s eat into this!
🌟 Sky 🌟
Sky’s bond with Fi Reader would be the deepest and most personal. He’s the only one who truly knew her, who spent his entire journey in her presence and grew to rely on her not just for guidance but also as a companion.
Sky would feel incredibly possessive of Fi Reader. To him, she’s not just a guide but his guide, his oldest and most trusted friend. He sees her as a part of his soul.
He wouldn’t take kindly to the rest of the Chain trying to develop their own bonds with her. He’d likely become passiveaggressive, dropping comments like, “She doesn’t work for you, you know.”
Sky would be quietly heartbroken if Fi Reader started forming attachments with the others. He’s not selfish enough to stop it, but the thought of her giving them the same affection and attention she gave him stings.
He treasures every word she says to him, constantly seeking her reassurance. If she even hints at preferring his company, his mood would skyrocket.
All in all, he’s a clingy one to her. And definitely feels a hint smug at first that HE’S the closest to her compared to everyone else. (Tho he is kinda jealous that Wild got to have her by his side from a very young age, even if he doesn’t remember it anymore.)
🌟 Warriors 🌟
Warriors’ relationship with Fi Reader is complicated. He interacted with her during the War of Eras but didn’t get to form similar personal bonds like Sky did due to the chaos of the war.
He respects her immensely, but there’s an underlying bitterness. He’s seen glimpses of her connection with Sky, and it eventually frustrates him that he didn’t get the same. Though he DOES have a closer relationship with her compared to the others so in a way, he’d be the second closest to her??
Warriors would be (surprisingly) one of the most competitive when it comes to gaining Fi Reader’s approval. He’d show off his battlefield prowess and leadership skills, hoping she’d acknowledge him. ( rivalry between the knights!)
He’s also protective, seeing her as a key ally in the Chain’s success. However, his protectiveness has a possessive edge, especially if he feels like she’s prioritizing others over him.
He often reminisces about the war and wonders if things could’ve been different if he’d gotten to know her better back then.
🌟 Time 🌟
Time’s relationship with the Master Sword is uh…kinda filled with bitterness and some baggage, which sadly also kinda extends to Fi Reader. He deeply respects her, but her presence stirs complicated feelings.
Time would carry guilt and frustration, wondering if he was ever worthy of wielding the sword and, by extension, worthy of her guidance.
He’d never show it, but he longs for her approval. If she ever acknowledged his wisdom or leadership, it would mean the world to him.
At the same time, Time might avoid her when his emotions run too high. Since seeing could dredge up memories he’d rather forget.
His protectiveness of Fi Reader is quiet. He wouldn’t let anyone speak ill of her or disrespect her, even in jest. If Fi Ready did explain why she made him jump through time the way she did, maybe he’d be able to let go of that bitterness, but I dunno.
Also Time probably harbors some irrational guilt for the destruction he caused during the War of Eras using the Fierce Deity mask, even if it was for the greater good. He fears that Fi Reader may see him as a monster, especially if she witnessed him wielding the mask’s power. Her reassurance is a balm to his soul, but he’s never fully convinced he deserves it.
(Honestly I doubt Reader even cared. She no doubt had sense the deity and probably didn’t even think to see Time as a monster. Maybe the deity even sensed her and they had a small moment to acknowledge each other before the battles kept them busy. Ya know?)
🌟 Twilight 🌟
Twilight’s bond with Fi Reader would be one of quiet reverence. He respects her deeply, but his connection to the Master Sword is more practical than emotional.
Twilight would see her as a guidin star, someone to lean on when he feels lost. He’d likely look to her for advice when dealing with the darker aspects of his journey.
He’d feel a subtle jealousy toward Sky for having such a close bond with her but wouldn let it show. Instead, he’d try to prove himself through his actions.
Twilight would value her approval immensely tho. If she ever praised him, even for something small, it would stay with him for days.
His protectiveness would manifest in quiet, steady ways. He’d always keep an eye on her, ensuring she’s safe and comfortable, even if she doesn’t need it.
🌟 Wild 🌟
Wild’s connection to Fi Reader is bittersweet. He wielded the Master Sword but doesn’t remember most of his time with it before the Calamity. Which is a true shame cause maybe he and her had a decent relationship before everything.
Wild would be fascinated by her, desperate to piece together the memories he’s lost. Maybe she had spoken to him in the past. Maybe Her voice would feel familiar and comforting, even if he can’t place why.
He’d be one of the most eager to interact with her, asking questions and trying to draw her out of her shell. He want to know her, to understand her, in a way that feels deeply personal.
Wild would be protective, but his protectiveness would be tinged with guilt. He feels like he’s let her down by losing so much of himself.
If she ever helped him recover a memory, even accidentally, he’d be overwhelmed with gratitude and devotion. Maybe cause she had been with him for so many years before the calamity, she recalls a lot from his past, so once he gets a chance, he could ask her and learn more of who he once was.
🌟 Legend 🌟
Legend’s relationship with the Master Sword is complicated. He’s wielded it, reforged it, and understands its power, but he’s never had the same bond with it as Sky.
Legend would be wary of Fi Reader at first, unsure if she’d see him as worthy. Especially since I have no doubt he’d be grumpy at times and cursed her out. He’s used to being doubted and would expect the same from her.
Over time, though, he’d come to rely on her guidance and cherish her presence. If she ever expressed faith in him, he’d be deeply moved.
Legend’s protectiveness would be sharp and biting. He’d defend her fiercely, especially if anyone tried to undermine her.
He’d secretly treasure any interaction with her, even if he acted nonchalant about it.
🌟 Hyrule 🌟
Hyrule’s bond with the Master Sword is simple a kind protector of Hyrule who’s been tempered by a harsh and dangerous life.
Hyrule wants to trust Fi Reader, but his hard earned survival instincts make him wary at first.
While Hyrule has a healthy dose of paranoia about others’ intentions, once he decides someone is worth protecting, he goes all in.
He feels a quiet kinship with her because they’ve both endured in their own ways, though hers is quieter and more refined. (She’s designed to rest between her duties, and in his eyes Heroes only get to truly rest when they are dead.)
He’d (once he gets to know her when she appears around the chain) would see her as a wise and benevolent figure, almost goddess-like in her presence. Her words would carry immense weight for him.
If she ever gave him personal advice or guidance, he’d take it to heart and follow it without question.
🌟 Wind 🌟
Wind’s relationship with Fi Reader would be rather enthusiastic. He sees her as a cool, mysterious figure and is eager to earn her favor.
Wind would constantly try to impress her, doing daring stunts and cracking jokes to make her laugh.
He’d be curious about her relationship with the Master Sword and would likely pester Sky with endless questions about her.
Wind’s protectiveness would be impulsive and bold. He’d jump into danger without hesitation if he thought she needed help.
He’d be one of the most open about his feelings toward her, wearing his admiration on his sleeve.
Though maybe he’d also be a bit insecure cause he had to earn his place as a Hero. But I have no doubt Reader would assure him that he had simple needed to have gained the Gods favor, because he had long since earned hers from the moment he held her blade in his hand.
(Cause like, I feel like even if she was depowered, she would have still had some lingering energy to have determined his worthiness even a little. If he hadn’t been worthy, she would have at least zapped him. But she didn’t so I’m gonna assume she found him worthy from the get go!)
The War of Eras kinda forced Wind to grow up a bit quickly, but his natural optimism and adaptability helped him keep cheerful and bright. He views Fi Reader as a presence who helped him change from a carefree islander to a hero(pirate) with a purpose.
Wind feels an almost childlike joy in Fi Reader’s company, often comparing her to the wind itself, gentle yet guiding. He treasures their bond and often jokes that she’s the ‘real captain’ of the Chain.
🌟 Four 🌟
Four never wielded the Master Sword, he’s heard of it but really…¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . He sees her as someone tied to a power he’s never fully understood. (He’s learned his lesson about magic swords after all.)
Four would be deeply curious about her, asking thoughtful questions and trying to piece together her nature.
He’d feel a small sense of inadequacy, wondering if his lack of connection to the Master Sword makes him less worthy of her attention. (He and every other hero with a slightly bad experience with her.)
Four’s protectiveness would be quiet but intense. He’d always be there when she needed him, even if he never said a word about it.
He’d be fascinated by her ability to guide and inspire, often marveling at how much she’s helped the group.
Over time, i suppose the Chain’s collective reverence for Fi Reader would grow into an almost obsessive need to keep her close. They’d compete for her attention, subtly (or not-so-subtly) trying to outdo each other.
Sky’s possessiveness would clash with the others’ growing attachment, leading to tensions within the group.
Fi Reader would become the emotional anchor for the Chain, her presence soothing their fears and doubts. Especially when she states without hesitation that even though the goddess gave her a command serve, Reader’s CHOSEN duty is to be there for her masters in more than just a single way.
Their protectiveness WOULD border on suffocating at times, each hero determined to ensure her safety at all costs even though she is MORE than capable of defending herself.
The thought of losing her would eventually be unthinkable (it’s definitely unthinkable for Sky. Terrified him really).
Honestly, Fi Reader would be both a guiding light and an unintentional source of tension for the Chain.
The rivalries would be fierce…
Thanks for the ask, 💫 Anon! This was such a fun thought process!

Hiii I'm back with another hug ask, bc the last one was cute and lu has been stuck on my brain for literal months now (help). Feel free to ignore if it's not your thing
I think I sent this to another blog but I'm curious to hear your take on it: yan chain w/ reader who doesn't know what hugs even are and just freezes up anytime they're given an ounce of affection. I'm such a sucker for characters who have no idea how to react when they're given positive attention. They're standing there while Hyrule is hugging them thinking he's gonna pull out a knife at any moment. They sleep with their own under their pillow
Oh, Anon, this is GOLD. You know the Chain is gonna be all over this.
The first time it happens, it’s Hyrule who does it first because of course it is. Sweet forest boy is naturally affectionate, so it just happens. Maybe Reader got a little scraped up in a fight or looked particularly exhausted, and Hyrule, being the ball of sunshine he is, decided a hug was the best way to comfort them.
He wraps his arms around them, all smiles, and says like, “You’re safe now!”
And Reader? Reader is just standing there like a stone statue. Frozen. Wideeyed. Heart pounding in fear because why is he hugging me and what’s his angle?!
Hyrule notices immediately. He pulls back, confused but concerned. “Are you okay?” he asks, tilting his head, while Reader just stares at him like he might pull out a knife any second. (Cause what he doesn’t know is that she was about to do that.)
Hyrule tells the others because, let’s be real, he doesn’t know how to process what just happened. And the Chain? Oh, they have feelings.
Wild is immediately like, “What do you mean they don’t know what hugs are?!” He’s borderline offended on Reader’s behalf.
Legend acts like it’s no big deal but lowkey feels awful about it. He’s been there, and he gets it, even if he’d never admit it out loud.
Sky is heartbroken ya know. This man probably cries about it later when no one’s looking.
Twilight is all quiet and broody, vowing to make Reader feel safe enough to accept affection.
Warriors? Oh, he’s dramatic as ever. “How could anyone deny them affection? They’re so precious!”
Four is quietly determined to fix it. He doesn’t say much, but you know he’s planning ways to help. (He’s…gonna have to go back to the drawing board a few several times when his plans keep failing)
Wind is confused at first but quickly makes it his personal mission to introduce Reader to all the hugs. He gives his sister and grandma hugs all the time! It’s a travesty NOT to hug and be hugged!
Time just gives one of those cryptic nods like he already knows but doesn’t elaborate. (He’s clueless but he’s gonna fix that.)
They’re obsessed with figuring out why Reader freezes at hugs. Who hurt them? Who dared deny them love and warmth? The thought keeps them awake at night, eating away at them until they’re ready to tear apart the entire world to find answers.
They need to be the ones to break through to Reader. It’s not just about helping; it’s about being the one Reader finally trusts, the one they lean on and allow into their heart.
I thiiiiink, Hyrule is the most persistent but gentle. He starts with small touches, a pat on the shoulder here, a light hand on their arm there, until Reader gets used to him.
Wild probably makes it into a game. He’ll casually lean against Reader, ruffle their hair, or throw an arm around their shoulders. Before they know it, they’re comfortable with him.
Twilight is careful. Like he’s dealing with a nervous animal. He waits until Reader is truly comfortable before trying anything, and even then, it’s just a warm hand on their back or a brief side hug.
Sky is the king of asking for permission. “Would it be okay if I hugged you?” And when Reader hesitantly agrees, he gives the softest, warmest hug imaginable.
Legend is… awkward. He doesn’t know how to express affection without it being weird, so he just gives them stiff, quick hugs and pretends it’s no big deal. (I think she’d be more comfortable with him since if HE’S awkward about it just like SHE is, then he’s not up to anything malicious and she’s totally okay with that. They both become cuddle bugs eventually. Much to his touch starved enjoyment.)
Warriors is surprisingly patient. He loves affection, but he reins it in for Reader’s sake. When he finally gets a hug, though? He makes it dramatically playful.
Four (eventually after many failures) takes the practical route. He offers hugs as rewards for little victories, like, “Good job today,” and eventually, Reader starts to look forward to them.
Wind is a menace. He sneaks up behind Reader for surprise hugs, then laughs when they freeze. But he quickly lets go so she only tenses for a second and doesn’t have time to really register what he did. But he’s also the first to cheer when they start relaxing.
Time is slow and steady. He probably waits until she’s more used to the others. His hugs are grounding and calm, offered when Reader seems like they need them most.
When they find out about the knife, it’s a…moment. Sky is devastated. (he’s also secretly furious that Reader ever felt unsafe enough to need it.)
Twilight is like, “That’s…practical…I suppose. but you don’t need it anymore. We’re here.” And he means it. (She still has it much to his dismay.)
Wild? Legend? Wind and Hyrule? They are just like, “Oh, that’s smart. I do the same thing.”
Warriors (who also sleeps with a knife cause ya know, soldier.) probably offers to buy them a better knife because, in his mind, better protection means better sleep. (Wild and Warriors definitely
The others are a mix of concerned and quietly determined to make Reader feel safe enough to sleep without it. I mean, I have no doubt they would all try to take the knife from her but when she shrinks away from them and doesn’t interact as much because of that, they’ll eventually give it back…kinda..they’ll spend a while trying to convince her she doesn’t need it but uh…it doesn’t work. (Even when she later on enjoys hugs from them.)
When Reader finally hugs one of them back, it’s Hyrule. Of course, it’s Hyrule.
He’s hugging them after another battle, telling them how glad he is that they’re okay, when he feels their arms wrap around him, hesitantly, awkwardly, but it’s there.
Hyrule freezes for a second, then breaks into the brightest smile. “You hugged me!” he says, voice full of joy, and everyone else immediately demands to know what just happened.
Every small victory,a brief touch, a hesitant smile, is like a drug to them. It’s not enough. It’s never enough. They want more, and they want it now.
When Reader finally hugs Hyrule back, the Chain is…. not okay.
Sure, they’re happy for him (on the surface), but deep down, they’re seething with jealousy. Why him? Why not them?
From that moment on, it’s a competition. They’re all trying to outdo each other, looking for any excuse to be the next one Reader hugs.
If Reader so much as leans on one of them for support, the others are immediately trying to replicate the situation to get the same reaction. It’s not just affection they crave.
It’s to know Reader trusts them more than she does the others.
…aaaand…that’s it! That’s all I got. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good morning, afternoon or evening.
I'm not usually one to ask for anything, you know that well, but today...
Today I woke up curious, and I came to ask, if you have, any headcannon of the other links. Sage/Tears,Calamity/soldier,Koridai, Courage, First and maybe also about Shadow...that art of Dree left me thirsty for Four emo.

Alright alright! I hear you! Took forever to search for my old discussion about them
and at the end of the day, I just asked Yandy and Dree to hand in what we talked about. (Thank you my lovely dears, I always adore you~)
Anywho (sorry for it’s all over the place!)
So here are those headcanons!
- Courage was a street rat who earned a name for himself by using his street smarts to provide for himself. He was noticed by the royal family and initially hired to be a guard in the Castle. After learning Courage is the hero he left to travel and adventure.
- Korodai was similarly poor and orphaned but worked his way up through the Church of Hylia, not taking any serious vows but still training to be the Hyrulian equivalent of a monk who can kick ass(so like a knight for the church). He was still pretty goofy and silly though in spite of his intelligence.
- The people in the church learned he was the hero and sent him to the Royal Family where he continued his training. Korodai’s journey in “Faces of Evil” is his first official journey.
- Courage is incredibly strong, similar to Twilight except even moreso. People don’t really see this coming because of his lackadaisical and unserious nature, they don’t expect him to actually be that powerful.
- Because of his history on the streets, Courage never knew how to properly interact with nobility and royalty, which is how his “love-hate” relationship with Wisdom(his Zelda) started. He was attracted to her but she didn’t like how he had no manners and thus started the cycle.
- Both Korodai and Courage are exceptionally clever and resourceful.
(….And if one is around, so is the other. They are a duo! )
——-
Im sure Calamity/Soldier (I call him Cal) is very much the silent stalker yandere.
I feel like he can’t feel himself being able to fit in with the chain.
Because all of them are heroes, but the Master Sword doesnt even answer to him.
Or at least hasn’t said a word.
Basically all of these guys around him are accomplished but well, him? He’s not so special. The only way he knows how is to be darling's shadow.
And therefore follow them and around?
Maybe he’s learned some manners being the princess' guard, so he treats darling like royalty and their word is law hahaha.
———-
Sage? Overprotective to the max.
If Sage is Wild but hasn’t met darling until his third adventure, I think he would be very willing to see darling as a goddess easier.
In his eyes, she’d be unlike anyone he’s ever known. This reverence might show in small ways, he’s always gentle with her, speaks to her with the utmost respect, and sometimes catches himself just watching her in quiet awe, as if he can’t believe she’s real.
Cuz Darling would be like a breath of fresh air for him since everyone around him took advantage of him or only cared about him being the hero.
he’d also have possessive streak that he keeps under tight control, but any hint of jealousy unleashes it. If he sees someone getting too close to Darling, he’d be tempted to step in immediately, but hold back with a calm, collected demeanor.
His icy gaze speaks volumes though.
Darling is worth any sacrifice, and he makes it clear that he would do anything to keep her safe, even if it means his own life. (Though (y/n) is definitely working on fixing that mentality if she is aware of it.)
Her presence alone eases the burdens he’s carried for so long, helping him feel grounded and human in a way he hasn’t experienced in years.
After years of being questioned or pushed to his limits, Sage finally finds someone whose judgment he respects without question.
If she tells him to rest or take a step back, he listens, even if every fiber of his being wants to protect her.
Though, he’s the type to stay up until she falls asleep, keeping a silent watch over her to ensure nothing can disturb her rest.
———
First feels like the one who’s more jaded than Legend??? Kinda?
Because compared to Legend, First canonically points out how he’s only used for convenience when he’s really needed.
Hmmm...I personal always imagine First being very soft spoken (well, when he wasn't angered to the point of raising his voice)
Not super soft spoken, not like he’s a fragile person, but very calming to hear.
And he loves every part of her, even if it pains him to see her in any negative/unhappy state.
Would he want to show her the true depth of his loyalty and love? Absolutely.
But he'd also want her comforted and happy.
If she ever drifts off to sleep in his arms, he's whispering all his words to her. All the things he'd held back on saying when she was conscious.
They'd be intense, overwhelming, very very...well...Yandere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If she heard it, she'd definitely be frightened by the weight behind it.
But he waits until she's deeply asleep to do so. Maybe a small part of his hoping a small part of her acknowledges his words, even if he'd rather her not be aware what atrocities he'd commit in order to protect her.
First may be jaded, but he keeps his darker thoughts deeply buried. He despises anyone who threatens her happiness, his face a mask of calm while his heart seethes with unspoken rage. (You know how everyone agrees Sky has a scary face when angered? That’s First, he rivals Sky with his scariness except it’s colder.)
Behind the scenes, he’d handle any threat swiftly, never letting it reach her attention.
———
Shadow. He gives me vibes where he likes to cause harm for the fun of it. He enjoys causing chaos and despair and taunts people.
But he also yearns for companionship.
Shadow gets an undeniable thrill from causing chaos. He knows how to push buttons and stoke insecurities, loving the reactions he pulls from people.
But he’d be surprisingly gentle around (y/n), changing his dark sense of humor just a bit to make her smile.
When (y/n) pays attention to someone else, Shadow sulks like a petulant child. He’s prone to shooting them glares, muttering under his breath, and might even playfully (or not so playfully) trip them up just to remind her where her focus should be.
Shadow has no filter around people he doesn’t like, especially if they’re close to (y/n). His sarcasm can cut like a knife, and he won’t hesitate to call them out in the most biting way possible if he senses even a hint of a threat.
Shadow has a talent for inconveniencing others while staying just on the edge of innocence with (y/n). It could be someone’s drink spilling, their cloak tripping them up (or down a flight of stairs), or anything that paints them as awkward or foolish in front of her. He finds it hilariously satisfying.
Shadow wants to be the only one who can make (y/n) laugh, surprise her, or put a smile on her face. If someone else manages to get a genuine laugh out of her, he sees it as a challenge, scheming immediately about how he’ll one up them next time.
He’s not above showing his irritation in front of her if she’s giving too much attention to someone else. A muttered, “What, are they that funny?” or a dramatic sigh as he stands just a little too close, casting glances that all but scream “notice me instead.”
Shadow’s affection for (y/n) is one of the only things that holds him back from outright causing harm.
