The Return of Superman- Mark
(cw: f!reader called “mama”, a child duh)
Mark had spent a good few decades with a lot of his life documented on cameras. There were music videos, behind the scenes vlogs, cameras, talk shows, selfies, you name it- he did it. There was however, one area of his life that wasn't show or documented for the public. That was you, your marriage, and his son.
There had of course been the announcement on SM's end about Mark being in a relationship, then there was SM the announcement five years later about the two of you being married paired with a post from Mark with a wedding picture of the two of you where your face wasn't seen, and then the last announcement 3 years ago announcing the birth of his son.
Mark completely understood and agreed with your apprehension to show aspects of your life to the public, especially regarding your son. There was the occasional post with you and you can recall the uproar it caused across social media when Mark finally posted your full face on his public account. It was complete madness. People had managed to track down your place of work and even found other pictures of you from your friend's account. You had reason to be apprehensive regarding the privacy of you family.
However, as your son got older, you and Mark got more comfortable sharing more and more about your life, still being mindful of your privacy. So when Mark's managers called and mentioned his own episode on The Return of Superman, you had both discussed it and cautiously agreed with a few conditions. Conditions that were met with no argument since Mark was such a big celebrity to lock in.
--
Mark was sitting in the confessional, the familiar black curtain behind him as he introduced himself to the camera, "uh yeah, hi. My name is Mark Lee, I've been a member of NCT since 2016. My wife and I have been married for almost 9 years and our son is 3 years old."
He pauses as he listens to a producer as a question. He chuckles and shakes his head, "My son and I spend a lot of time together, but loves his mom. I try to take him out for some father and son bonding, but he cries for mom after an hour, when he play together he always involves her. It's great, I obviously love her too, but I think these few days the two of us will be kind of rough."
The scene cuts to the cameras panning over the space of yours and Mark's home as the commentators laugh and predict what they think will happen.
Mark is shown sitting up in bed, rubbing his eyes tiredly before putting on his glasses and heading for his son's room. You had left the night before for a much needed girl's weekend with friends. You waited until your son was gone, peppering his chubby cheeks with kisses as he slept in his toddler bed before sneaking out of the room and bidding Mark goodbye with his own barrage of kisses and watery eyes. You knew Mark would be fine alone. He was a good dad and his confidence had skyrocketed once his son had grown out of the shaky steps phase.
"Wow, that is such a cool boy room!" One of the commentators marveled as the camera in Mark's son’s room showed the room covered in Spider-man. He had Spider-man sheets, blankets, wall stickers, toys, books- everything.
Mark smiled softly at the sight of his son sprawled across his little bed, still deeply asleep. Mark made his way to the kitchen and began making breakfast. He turned on the rice maker and began cracking eggs into the pan, watching tiredly as they turned from translucent to white.
One commentator cleared her throat, "this is interesting. Isn't it well-known that Mark can't cook eggs? I wonder if he's gotten better or his son likes them?"
The scene shows Mark and his son sitting at the dining table, his son blinking slowly and using both his hands to keep his head up. Mark laughs softly, scooping up a spoonful of rice and fried egg to feed his son. Usually, he'd be able to feed himself but this morning he's just too sleepy and Mark admittedly likes babying him. He is still a baby.
His son tiredly chews, his eyebrows furrowing and his face falling into one of confusion. He opens his eyes fully as he leans away from the next spoonful of food heading for him. "What's that?" his little voice asks as his finger points at the egg.
"It's eggs and rice, bub. Say ah," Mark instructs.
"Mama made it?" his son asks while turning his cheek away from the spoon.
"No, I made it," Mark replies, deciding to instead take the bite of food for himself.
His son scrunches his face up and takes the fried egg from his bowl and places it into Mark's, "yucky, Appa. No thank you!"
Mark tilts his head back with a roll of his eyes as the commentators laugh and compliment his son's good manners despite him calling the egg 'yucky.'
The scene cuts to Mark and his son standing in the entryway of your home, putting on their shoes. As Mark opens the door, his son freezes, "is Mama sick?"
Mark is hesitant to respond, "no, Mama isn't here. Remember it's going to be just me and you until tomorrow night?"
He can hear the familiar catch of his son's breath as he nervously looks up at Mark, "she's ok? She's coming tomorrow?"
Mark feels his heart melt, and the commentators all aww and coo over how cute the 3 year old is. Mark crouches down in front of him, picking him up and hosting him onto his hip, "of course she's coming back. Come on, we're going to go ride bikes at the park and get dinner with uncles later. Does that sound fun?"
His son sniffles and nods, "and ice cream?"
Mark laughs, "yes, and ice cream."
--
The camera crew follows Mark and his son around the park, watching as Mark teaches the boy to pedal and steer the bike. He eventually gets the hang of it and begins riding around on his own with a big smile. His little laughs and giggles fill the air as he zooms in every direction much faster than Mark or any of the cameramen expected, especially the cameraman tasked with following the boy around with his heavy camera.
It's all going well, no tears, no complaints, not even a mention of you, until the tricycle comes to an abrupt stop and turns when it gets too close to the edge of the grass. Mark sprints over the second he sees the tricycle teeter over and makes it to his son before the tears start.
He keeps calm as he looks his son over for any wounds, finding none and immediately being filled with relief. His son must have just gotten scared from the fall. Nonetheless Mark holds him close and rocks him as he cries into Mark's t-shirt.
"I want Mama," his son cries.
"I know buddy, I'm sorry. Does it hurt anywhere?"
His son continues to cry and shakes his head, his sobs turning into sniffles as he calms down. Mark pushes the hair away from his son's forehead and presses a long kiss to the sweaty skin, "you are being so brave, bub. I know it was scary, huh? I am so proud of you."
"And Mama too?" his son asks with watery eyes.
"Yes, and Mama too. You can tell her all about it when she comes home tomorrow. You can tell her that you heal fast like Spider-man."
His son perks up and his eyes brighten, "like Spider-man?"
Mark nods and stands, with his son in one arm and the tricycle in the other, "Oh yeah, big guy. Just like Spider-man, whenever he gets scared he keeps going, right?"
This sets his son off on his little tangent about Spider-man fighting the Green Goblin, then Doc Oc, and how he uses his webs and how the bad guy loses and Spider-man always wins.
The scene cuts to Mark in the confessional, "I really have enjoyed my time on the show, but I may be worse than my son. If you have me back, can she stay too? Please."

Thinking about micro/macro omorashi scenerios~
I’ve seen a couple people touch on the subject, but in general I think micro/macro omorashi is kind of an untouched goldmine
Obviously there’s so much potential for a micro character to get desperate in a world that’s too big for them
(Someone may have done this one- I don’t remember- but sharing anyway) A fairy or other small micro getting captured in a jar by a macro character and getting increasingly desperate while in their clear glass confinement that offers absolutely no privacy. also imagine the macro being kinda mean and shaking the jar on purpose to torture the micro eventually making them wet
Maybe a micro character that got stuck in a macro world unexpectedly- and this guy is the type to never pee outside or any unusual places. He will ONLY pee in a toilet thank you very much. So he gets taken in by a macro character and when the need arises, he attempts to use the ginormous toilet that’s in the macro house. Unfortunately he falls in and almost drowns. So now he’s too terrified to use the toilet, but too stubborn to explore other options of relieving himself. So the next time he needs to pee, he just holds it. obviously he cant hold it forever though.
There could also be the simple fear wetting- a micro encounters a macro and is absolutely terrified at seeing such a huge monstrous being! So scared that maybe at first they don’t notice that warm patch growing in their pants
A friendly macro who carries a micro in their pocket, but one day the micro is super desperate, but too shy to let the macro know. So micro is just bouncing around in this giants pocket, feeling every giant footstep and gripping their crotch for dear life. Eventually they can’t take it any more. They start to leak, and then those leaks turn to spurts and eventually their bladder just gives in and empties. The macro is confused as to why their pocket with their tiny friend is starting to get warm and wet.
A macro finds a micro character, and omg they’re so cute!! The micro is just like a little doll! You can put them in cute little doll clothes and have a tea party, and this doll actually will drink the tea and make conversation back. When the tea party is over, the macro can just put the micro in their doll house. After all everything is just the right size, right?
Unfortunately all that very real tea makes its way to the micros very real bladder, and when they run to the dollhouse bathroom desperate to go- they find that when they open the lid to the toilet- there’s no place to actually pee in! There’s not even a hole under the lid, it’s one of those cheap plastic toy furniture items that just has a sticker to give the impression of something being there. Now where are they supposed to pee?
The micro tries to hold it until their macro friend comes back, but will they make it in time?
Will the macro return to a wiggling living doll who’s squirming around doing their best not to make a mess of their pretty clothes or the pretty dollhouse
Or will they come back to a micro who’s already wet with tears streaming down their face
Micros are always the obvious choice as an omo victim, but I was also thinking…what if we reverse it?
Anyone who’s read Gulliver’s Travels is familiar with the scene where Gulliver puts out a fire with his pee
What if we had a macro who’s gotta pee, but there’s no fire to put out. Instead, if they did pee- it would actually cause damage to the town of micro people they’ve found. (You don’t wanna flood the streets and drown the townsfolk with a massive golden tsunami)
So while they’re visiting their tiny friends they just gotta hold it- and being the only giant it’s kinda hard to hide your potty dance from prying eyes

Admittedly, it's only when she's standing in the park across from the first pub that she realises exactly what she's gotten herself into. "This feels unfair." "Aw, come on Luce," Arthur says with half a smile, swapping his t-shirt for their team kit. "Have a bit of faith."
in which: Lucy is reluctantly recruited into Chris' pub golf video at the last minute, but it turns out to be very worth it.

There’s a certain risk that comes with renting an office in a building full of youtubers. Mainly being ambushed in the kitchen by a camera for a reaction or her two cents on whatever challenge video was underway is not an uncommon occurrence. Although, being fully roped into a video is never too far out of the realm of possibility.
Luckily, there’s only one person with the gaul to break into her office, and that’s Chris.
It’s been affectionately nicknamed, ‘the fishbowl’.
Sitting right on the hallway's bend, with two walls and a giant door of nothing but glass that means anyone who steps out the lift can see right into her office. Hence the name. Once she showed up to find someone had stuck fish and bubble stickers all over the windows- she’s pretty sure it was Sam, who does all her captioning, but she’s never gotten him to confess it.
It’s a pretty decent workspace despite the lack of privacy. Lucy’s desk is off to one side, and the three desks for her London-based employees are in a little cluster to the right of it. Only Shelly, the head editor and Lucy had been in today, but it’s nearing five pm and Shelly had headed off about twenty minutes prior, so it’s just Lucy hauled up alone working on a script as she hides from the rest of the building.
Chris invites himself in. As always. For some reason, the wall of glass just doesn’t present the same barrier to him as it does to everyone else.
She glances up as the door hinges open, the soundproofing scraps against the carpet before closing with a soft click. There’s something a little frantic in his expression- not exactly panic, but stress maybe- and he’s got a white monster energy can that's dripping condensation in one hand and a takeaway bag from the fish and chip shop two blocks over that uses the perfect amount of salt, in the other.
Lucy is no fool. She knows a bribe when she sees one. "No."
All the tension leaks from his shoulders as Chris heaves a defeated sigh, falling back onto the two seater couch just inside the door. "But I haven't even asked yet."
"But you brought me an incentive." She points out and Chris leans over to thunk the can down on the corner of her desk he could reach. Lucy scrunches her nose up at the ring of water that settles underneath it. "You didn't even do that last time and that involved having footballs booted at me for three hours."
Objectively, Lucy has fun on the ChrisMD channel. She’d always been an active person and while the dreams of being a professional athlete did not work out for her like many others, she does still like sports, especially if they’re team based. Chris’s videos are perhaps the most fun variant of them she’s experienced since quitting her Sunday league team back in uni.
But Lucy drew a hard line in the sand after the break up.
The problem with having fun on Chris’ videos, is that somewhere along the line, wires got a bit crossed. Lucy isn’t really all too sure when it happened, but she remembers realising. Looking at Chris, and realising she fancied him. It was four months before, and she spent all of it agonising over every conversation they had, kicking herself for liking a taken man, beating herself up over every word or glance as the guilt of it all ate away at her.
Then he was single and the biggest motivator for Lucy to shut her fucking mouth and stomp down her feelings, she got a little worried things would run away from her. She wasn’t keen to make a mess of things, in private or on the internet, so she took a step back.
It does help that in her last appearance on the ChrisMD channel, she took a particularly solid shot from Simon Minter to the stomach during the World Cup Ball video. A few days later, Lucy's flatmate had bullied her into going to A and E where they found out she’d managed to acquire a cracked rib.
Simon- bless him- still apologises every time she runs into him.
Lucy doesn’t know how to thank him for giving her a reasonable excuse to avoid Chris for an extended period of time.
"You had fun." Chris points out with a roll of his eyes, unpacking the takeaway bag to set two boxes on the coffee table in front of him, opening one and digging into a calamari meal.
"And a broken bone."
Another sigh. "This isn't goal keeping."
Lucy's hands still over her keyboard, little cursor blinking on page is of what was going to be a 12 page script. She huffs a breath, telling herself that she will at least hear the man out.
It was a stupid thing really, fancying him. It’s probably one of those prolonged exposure things, she spent so much time with him that things got blurry in her mind. But the controlled exposure has been working. No more nights out if he was going and no one on one hang outs for the past few months have really helped her get a handle on things. Make the lines of platonic and romantic a little clearer in her head.
Even if he’s grown a beard that looks annoyingly good on him. She’s allowed to appreciate it without fancying him. Or at least, that’s how she tries to tell her flatmate.
Lucy had put measures in place, a little bit of distance to get over her puppy crush and they had been working.
The little bubbliness she used to get has been smothered in the past few months. They’d done Chip’s karting race together just fine and she’s been significantly more invested in the occasional hinge date she secures. Lucy’s building her way up towards nights out again, knowing that he’ll be there and trusting her mouth to not run away from her. Maybe filming with him would be good- keeping her contained to the version of herself that the internet is allowed to see, the version that never fancied one of her coworkers.
When she pushes her chair out from the desk and turns to level Chris with a look, considering it for a few long moments before sighing and looking up to the ceiling, already regretting what she hasn't agreed to yet. There's a smile on Chris' face - he knows he's won. Apparently, Ciaran Carlin managed to snag himself a case of food poisoning the day of Chris' 'pub golf' shoot ("thought you did football content" - "Its football themed.") so they were down one whole player. Hence why Chris was there, a few moments from dropping to his knees to beg.
Lucy is, admittedly an outlier amongst the office. At least in terms of content creation. It's actually the Fellas Studio building, but those who invested in the business to help the boys get it up and running, like Chris and Lucy, have their own office space inside. She makes video essays with the occasional social commentary video mixed in - a far cry from Chris' football challenges or the min-maxing style of videos that seems to have taken over the platform in the last few years.
So their friendship has stayed mostly off camera, as she doesn’t often have people on her main channel, posting occasional vlogs on her second channel but he’s only ever made the cut once or twice. The most the internet knows of Lucy Bell and Chris Dixon is that he’s roped her into a few football challenges over the years.
When it comes to Chris’s channel, Lucy does make for a good feature. She’s just tipped over four million subscribers in the last few months, with almost a completely different audience, so it brings in a lot of new viewers. She’s not half bad at football either, a few years playing football in uni meant she could keep up with most of the UK YouTube scene if Chris begged nicely enough.
"Alright, but it’s an extra twenty quid for each time you bite me."
The biting gets her every time. She’s always had a bit of a thing for it, teeth marks and hickeys. It’s a condition that Lucy adds to save her own sanity more than anything.
See, there’s something about Chris when he’s drunk that just makes the man want to bite. Sink his teeth into whichever friend is closest after a pint or two. Doesn’t matter where, hand arm or neck- he’s even gone for her ear once. He’s not handsy per-say, because none of it was sexual really, but it couldn’t be called clingy either because he got way too mean.
Cuteness aggression seems to fit the bill. But no matter what someone was to call it, the fact is, Chris gets his teeth out when he’s drinking.
Maybe charging him for it will be enough to remind him not to.
Chris grins. "Done."
Turns out, the pub golf ‘night-out’ she had been lured into starts at one pm.
Admittedly, it's only when she's standing in the park across from the first pub that she realises exactly what she's gotten herself into. "This feels unfair."
The line up was clearly in no way designed for fairness. With the 'English team' consisting of Lucy, Chris and Arthur-TV, going against the 'German Team' of Stephen Tries, Bambino Becky and Harry Wroetoshaw.
Now Lucy isn’t a lightweight- at least not proportionally. For a woman of five five, she could hold her drink. But Chris Dixon on the other hand, who was the same height, most definitely was a lightweight. There was not a whole lot of faith to be put in their alcohol tolerance.
"Aw, come on Luce," Arthur says, swapping his t-shirt for their team kit. "Have a bit of faith."
She ducks her head to hide the quick frown that flashes over her face. There’s only two people who call her ‘Luce’ and that’s Chris and her flatmate, Spencer. It’s obvious where he’s picked it up from and the thought of Chris chatting about her to one of his friends with such familiarity is enough to make her stomach flutter. Today was not going to be good.
Lucy's met Arthur before, in passing. At parties or events, seen him at the office once or twice when he'd presumedly come to film with someone. He’s good friends with George and Arthur Hill too. She knows him and Chris have been mates since school, and that he's one of the most frequent victims of the ChrisMD channel. Miraculously, she's never ended up on a set with him before.
She hopes he holds his drink well.
"A little hard to have faith when Becky and Harry are gonna drink us under the table." She says, thumbing at the team jersey she’s been given.
It’s soft, more so than she expected.
Football has never much been Lucy’s thing. She was on a team during her uni years, but that was more social than competitive. She owns a couple of kits, her old uni jersey that was mainly a work shirt and the Brighton Jersey her brother bought her for Christmas one year- Lucy makes sure to wear it whenever she watches a game. But that’s about the extent of it, she’s never had much reason to go buy an official kit.
But apparently for the football-ification of pub golf, team jerseys were a must.
The tag says it’s their away kit from the 1990 world cup and the fabric is so abrasively red, Lucy feels like a stop sign when she pulls it on. It doesn’t help that it was originally bought for Ciaran, so it’s two sizes too large. Sadly it completely tanks her outfit, the black skater skirt and platform mary-janes with lacy white socks had gone so much better with the cosy white knit sweater she’d started the day in, but it does sort of work. Even if it makes her look like a pick-me girl.
The collar slips about on her shoulders and Lucy pulls the collar about a little, trying to make it sit properly, which apparently, Chris takes as an invitation.
He comes up from behind and drapes his arms over her shoulders- not exactly unusual behaviour from him, but it does typically take a few more drinks. There’s not even a moment of hesitation before Chris sinks his teeth into the meat of her shoulder, biting down. Not hard enough to hurt exactly, more like a pinch.
She doesn’t yelp but grunts a little, swatting at his hair to duck out of his grip. When he backs off, there’s a dark semi-circle on the jersey, highlighting where he’d bitten at the material. “Right. That’s twenty quid then.”
Chris blinks, then rolls his eyes. “What? No, come one. We haven’t even started filming yet.”
He’s smiling though, watching as Lucy digs a black marker out of her purse and bites the lid off to draw a thick line on the inside of her right forearm. “A deal is a deal, Chris.”
“We’ll if we’re keeping track like that, someone else has to be in charge of the pen.” He plucks it from her fingers and Lucy goes to swipe it back but he pulls it up high above both their heads.
She could snatch it back. They’re about the same height; every time someone whips out a tape measure they end up with a different answer to who is taller, so it always depends on the shoes. Today, she’s even wearing platforms with more than enough heel to beat out Chris' white air forces but Lucy’s not sacrificing a single sliver of her dignity to jump for the marker.
Perhaps realising that she’s not taking the bait, he holds it out to Arthur instead, who has been watching them with a raised eyebrow. “What’s this then?”
“Lucy agreed to be in the video, if I paid her twenty pounds each time I bit her.” Chris says, looking a little proud of himself for some reason, as if wrangling her into a video was some sort of impressive feat. “But I don’t trust her to not just draw a bunch of lines.”
“Damn. That’s smart, you’ll make a couple hundred quid today, easy.” Arthur plucks the marker out of Chris’ fingers and looks at it a little funny. “Will you give me twenty every time you bite me?”
The marker is tucked away into the pocket of his shorts with a grin.
“You were coming no matter what.”
“With you looking like that, damn right I was.” Arthur holds his hand up for a high-five, probably more of a reflex than anything. Chris doesn't go for it, but Lucy does, swinging up to her tiptoes, to clap her palm against his.
“Come on,” He grins at Lucy, keeping their hands clasped for a few seconds with the momentum and it has her feeling a little better about the afternoon ahead.
One of the film crew, Sam she thinks his name is, waves Lucy over to mic her up. They make their way through the ‘before game interviews’, with the warning they will be spliced with the aftermath that was to be recorded at the last pub.
"Are you going to enjoy today?" Chris pokes the mic against the tip of her nose and Lucy scrunches it up a little at the feeling of scratchy foam.
"Considering I was bribed to be here, no." She plays the reluctant friend well, but they both know she’d been happy to help Chris out in his time of crisis and that she probably wouldn’t end up chasing him up about the money she was supposedly charging him per bite.
The first two holes (“It’s Goal, Luce. Use the right terminology.”) left their team with a rather bleak outlook.
Lucy’s played enough drinking games in her life to be able to down a pint in one go, so that isn’t a problem. She chugs the IPA, so while it’s down in one, Lucy is left with a bitter taste in her mouth, complaining to the table that if she was forced to drink beer, it should at least be lager. Arthur and Chris both down theirs in one, but are cautioned for shit jokes and chose to do a shot each instead of taking the additional points.
The second pub is no hands, white sambuca shots, but they get a bench so it’s not much hassle to lean down and get her lips around the glass rim and knock it back.
But when they’re done, and Arthur’s wandered off, her, Chris and Harry pounce on his backpack to turn it inside out. It makes her feel like she’s back in secondary playing silly pranks when someone leaves their bag unattended. Tragically he comes back with the news that he’s thrown up. Twice. There’s an attempt to blame the McDonalds wrap he’d scranned a bit too quickly but Calfreezey is not a forgiving referee and they are penalised three points, leaving them at seven as Chris has failed to down his shot in one.
“We are not winning that dominos pizza.” Arthur whines, frowning down at his inside out bag.
Lucy holds her hands out, an unspoken gesture that he accepts with a smile and starts piling his belongings into her hands. “Cheer up Mr.Television. I’ll Deliveroo one to the last pub.”
“And ruin Chris’ incentive? Where’s your competitive spirit Miss Bell?” He quips back, grabbing a fist full of his bag’s canvas and turning it back out the right way, shoving his pencil case and jacket back into it.
There’s an instinct to roll her eyes at the last name but fair is fair. She did sort of do it to him first. “I think winning for us is already a lost cause. Becky and Harry can outdrink us all.”
Arthur zips his bag up and swings it over his shoulders, heading for the door but glancing back at her as he speaks. “Not Stephen?”
“He’s more of a mascot I think.” Lucy muses, skipping up to his side and out the door as he holds it with one hand. “Like Chris.”
“Fair enough, they are the two lightweights.” He says, jutting his chin out to where Chris and Stephen were squabbling a good hundred metres up the footpath. “You seem a bit better at handling the beers than Chris to be honest.”
She can’t quite stop the way her nose scrunches at the memories of parties and chundering in bushes out the front of train stations. Lucy hisses through her teeth. “Yeah, I had a few too many nights out in Uni. Spiked my tolerance.”
There’s this little quirk of Arthur’s head, like he’s a curious cat that’s been offered a toy mouse to play with. “I didn’t know you went to uni, what did you study?”
“Journalism. Hence the video essays- if you know what kind of videos I do.”
“Not to brag, but I'm kind of subscribed.” He puts on a little bit of a voice, an impression of the typical ‘nice guy’ when he says it with an exaggerated roll of the eyes that earns a smile.
“Really?” This time it’s Lucy who’s tilting her head, peering up at him a little from under the few loose strands of hair that hang over her forehead and it makes Arthur sort of sheepish.
“Oh yeah,” He pulls out his phone and opens the youtube app. She’s in his subscriptions tab, along the top bar even. “I really like the rage bait one. And the one about the barbie movies.”
“You actually watch my videos?” He must do. The rage bait one was recent but Lucy’s deep-dive into the animated barbie movies of the early two-thousands was from her uni days, buried under six years of more recent uploads.
“Yeah, they’re good. Informative, funny.”
Lucy blushes. “Flattery gets you everywhere, Arthur. I’ll check out your channel after today, promise.”
“It’s not much, a lot of reality TV content- hence the name. I started with Airline freakouts and ended up with ninety-day fiancé.” He holds out his phone for her to take with his own channel pulled up.
She flicks though, and it is admittedly a lot of ninety-day fiancé, but when she flicks the ‘popular’ filter on, some of the thumbnails look kind of familiar. “Wait, like the old ‘Airline UK’ show? I used to watch some of those.”
Arthur grins. “Really?”
“Yeah, just compilations of the passengers screaming at the easy jet desk.”
There’s a mental note to watch them when she gets home (pr depending on how drunk she ends up, tomorrow) and see if they’re familiar.
It happens every now and then, watching a video then realising years later you’ve just met the person who made it. A couple of months after meeting George Clarkey at the gym she realised she’d watched him chase a beep around his garage on tiktok a year earlier.
“Maybe you saw some of mine.” Arthur offers a little shyly, as if he’s nervous about suggesting it. “They did decent numbers. It’s how I got started with youtube.”
“Yeah?”
He hums in agreement. “Needed something to pay the bills in Uni and youtube ended up being way more fun than Law.”
Lucy can’t help the judgemental tone that sneaks into her voice. “You studied Law?”
“Don’t sound so surprised.” He scoffs with a smile.
“No you’re just nicer than all the other law students I met while in Uni. Most of them were right pricks.”
Especially the one she’d dated in second year. He’d been good at first, but after a couple of pints he was anyone's. The guy played up on her all the time and it wasn’t until he tried hitting on the first year who’d just moved into Lucy’s student Accommodation that she finally called it off.
After that, all the law students who tried to chat her up at the Uni bars left a bitter taste in her mouth.
Not Arthur though. He isn’t quite a law student, she supposes, he’s a youtuber and Lucy does get on well with most of the UK scene. They were a good bunch and any of the dickheads were pretty easy to weed out- there is a couple she fully avoids, simply because she couldn’t be arsed putting up with them. Lucy scribbles Arthur’s name on the mental list of people she wouldn’t mind chatting to at the next party.
He’s got decent chat, certainly better than some of the dull people she’s put up with out of politeness and when he smiles, it’s a flash of pearly white. Teeth that all line up perfect- save for his pointed canines. She could stand to see it a bit more often, carve out some space for it in her chest amongst the fluttering of butterflies. “Flattery gets you everywhere, Luce.”
“Hurry up you two, stop dawdling!” Chris shouts from out the front of pub number three.
They wave him off with a few jeered ‘yeah, yeah’s but do pick up the pace a little.
“I meant to ask earlier,” Arthur says. “Want to put your purse in my bag? it looks like it’s bothering you.”
Her purse has been bothering her. It was the one she’d taken into the office and was more for fashion than function, a little black leather crossbody bag that she’s had over one shoulder so it doesn't make her boobs look weird on camera. It’s only really got her phone, earbuds and keys in it. She’s been keeping it at her hip with one hand but it’s getting tiring. “Yeah, thanks Arthur.”
He tucks it away gently, with much more care than he’d had with his own portable charger and pencil case a few minutes earlier. Arthur’s sweeter than she expected.
Not many of the youtube boys were sweet. Nice, friendly even, but part of being amongst them meant she could take the banter and hard hitting. Catch hurled comments that strangers would say border on cruel with her bleeding hands and hurl them back. There’s an added layer, being a woman online appearing on channels with a male dominated audience. A thick oily sheen that taints the comments of collab videos.
But Lucy has managed to find the youtubers she could stomach, some of which she spends more time with than others. George is her gym buddy, even if he’s been slacking lately. Will lacks enough of a social life that he tends to rot in the office just as late as she does so they always end up ordering Deliveroo and shit talking for an extra hour or two. She doesn’t mind the occasional pint with Harry or Tobi either. They’re all sweet, but sweet enough that it's threatening to make her blush? Well, only Chris made that far.
Lucy tucks that thought away and settles into the seat at the end of the table, tapping the toes of her shoes together idly as the production team set up go-pros and camera angles.
Pub number three was goalie rules. Six seconds to down a pint and it had to be done with keeper gloves.
All six sets set on the table are Large and it looks utterly ridiculous when they all don the gloves. Black and green leathery material that’s oddly padded on the inside, it feels weird enough that it sort of captivates her for a few moments, the new sensation against her hands. Lucy keeps balling her fists up then splaying her fingers again, listening to the scrunch of them before pressing her hands flat against the table to feel the padding compress and spring back up slightly when she released the pressure.
Arthur has a similar reaction, although he just starts running his hands over everything. From the wooden table to his own legs. Down Lucy’s right forearm where it rests on the table, over Chris’s head. The latter of which, he does so much that it actually gets a reaction, which Lucy is starting to think most of Arthur’s oddities don’t.
“Stop rubbing my head!” Chris squeaks, ducking away from Arthur’s widespread palms that are messing up his quiff. “Rub the head I want to be rubbed!”
Lucy snorts into her keeper glove when Chris gestures rudely to his crotch and Stephen goes to kick it from under the table.
Thankfully, before things can devolve into more dick jokes, a member of Chris’s team brings over a tray of pints.
Lucy and Arthur both get it down in one, but Chris fails- laughing after about an inch and having to set the drink down. Easy to say, no one is impressed and he earns them a yellow card for time wasting.
“How have you done worse than the females?” Arthur jokes, setting Chris’ still half full glass between Lucy and Becky’s empty ones.
“We’ll take ourselves back to the kitchen.” Becky declares, raising a hand for a high five that Arthur meets- an assurance that it’s all jokes- before leaning in to stage whisper to Lucy. “There might be pints in there.”
Despite England's mostly good performance, Calfreezy once again proves that he’s out to get them as he issues two yellows and a red card. Lucy and Chris take the penalty shots- tequila upon request- and there’s three points added to their tally as well.
It burns the back of her mouth and stings against her tongue. Whichever production member had fetched their shots did not return with the curiosity of a chaser. Still, it’s easier to down than a pint so Lucy takes what she can get.
Although, everyone seems to be under the impression that it’s going to finish her. Probably because she keels over coughing after getting it down. It’s the closest Lucy’s come to spitting out a drink all afternoon, which is saying something considering the IPA at the first pub was utter shit.
Her reaction has Steven so confident in his team’s performance that he starts demanding forfeits, anything from shots of the winners choice to public spankings in ‘piccadilly square’.
While Lucy focuses on not tripping over the drag of her platform shoes, the taste of tequila lingers on her tongue and haunts her all the way to the next pub.

my jjk headcanons, part 2
part 1
part 3
part 4
if someone asks satoru for some change to buy snacks at the convenience store, he’ll give them a batch of ¥10.000 bills with the only request to get him some candy (shoko has been stealing money from him like this ever since their first year; rip toji he would’ve loved this)
current conversion rates (july ‘24): ¥10k ≈ $64 ≈ 58,50€
whenever yuuji passes out — from exhaustion, a punch to the face, blood loss, anything that’s not sleep sleep — he lands in sukuna’s domain. they argue &/ fight until yuuji wakes up again
satoru owns one of those password protected diaries that plays “oops! i did it again” by britney spears upon opening. he writes in it with colourful [glittery] gel pens, doodles the people he mentions in his entries, decorates the pages with stickers, etc.
megumi regularly buys treats and dog beds for his shikigami because he thinks they might feel lonely in his shadows (satoru actually started doing it first when he met the divine dogs for the first time)
toji needs reading glasses
satoru is immune to poisons and other toxins (insert traumatic childhood in which he got forced to endure all kinds of poisons etc. from the gojo clan). he says it’s really convenient in case someone tries to assassinate him with food (has happened a lot in his life already) or a cursed spirit has a CT that utilises them. shoko and suguru punched him for that statement
when they’re out in the city, model agency agents regularly try to recruit satoru, suguru and shoko
they tried the same with megumi too, at a later point in timeline — nobara shoos them off every time
the big bone structure we see in sukuna’s innate domain is yuuji’s ribcage
modern!au sukuita twins suck at school. yuuji’s only good subject is PE and sukuna’s is japanese
satoru can use the mental abacus technique (everyone is mortified whenever he does; no this is not a CT, it’s maths- no yuuta, you can’t copy th-)
modern!au sashisu live together and have no sense of privacy — shoko is taking a bath? well sucks to be her, satoru needs to pee; suguru is rubbing one off in the dead of night? well sucks to be him, shoko is drunk and needs to rant and he was stupid enough to leave his door unlocked; satoru has a migraine and is hanging over the toilet bowl, throwing up? well sucks to be him, suguru needs his help with his physics homework that’s due in 1 hour
megumi and nobara have a “if we’re still single by the age of 30, we’re marrying for financial purposes”-pact
sukuna is aroace
satoru hates drinking water. he says it tastes like nothing / it’s bland and boring and he, gojo satoru, cannot be drinking something so unworthy of him
yuuji really enjoys teas, he grew up drinking them with his grandpa
satoru can’t handle spicy food
nobara heavily dislikes anything slimy & rubbery, especially food (means she avoids seafood by default but she also doesn’t like it because “the smell is not lady-like”)

the five peices i did for one of my finals- centering around the theme of transness in the home. I’ve been really getting into the concept of domesticity, privacy and intimacy and how these are experienced in trans bodies. You may recognize the characters if you follow my work hehe ^_^
all are 22x30, watercolor, colored ink, acrylic gouache and various other things like gel pen, colored pencil, paint pen- and of course- stickers!
[Image Description:
5 traditional paintings.
The first is of a fat south asian trans man lying nude reclined on a bed inside of a van. His eyes are closed and he is somewhat falling off the bed, his head and arm draped towards the ground. Visable in the van are snacks, a record player, fastfood containers, condoms, a vibrator, and several posters on his walls.
The Second is of two characters, a fat east asian trans woman, who is nude, and a mid-size white nonbinary person, who is shirtless but wearing boxers. They sit on a bed together, smiling and surrounded by pinkish light.
The third is of a thin white transfeminine nonbinary person lying on the floor of a bathroom nude, with her legs propped up on the edge of a bathtub. They’re also making a phone call, and looking absentmindedly into a mirror that is reflecting them.
the fourth is of a chubby trans man with dark curly hair wearing a binder with his laptop propped up on his lap. You can see the rest of his bedroom, including someone watching tv in the far distance.
The fifth is of a thin white man standing in a room, looking down at a mirror that lies at his feet. You can see the rest of his room, including a teal ladder and a stained glass window in the kitchen.
All five paintings are very colorful, covered in stickers and have colorful borders.

707 / Luciel / Saeyoung Choi Headcanons I Have
‼️⚠️ SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️‼️
Tumblr media
• Has ADHD but if anyone brings it up he brushes it off because he thinks it makes him lesser. He’s not ableist he just needs to be educated :(
• I know in the official art he’s pretty pale but I hc him as having tanner skin and some freckles
• Has an undiagnosed personality disorder probably
• Too paranoid to go to church in person so he made a personal shrine in his home that he makes sure to spend time at
• Hates seeing his father on TV because it reminds him how similar they look. He’ll go into a weeks long depression every time where he’ll avoid mirrors because all he sees is his mother and father
• Loves cross dressing but is too scared to think deeply and self reflect about the gender euphoria it gives him because Korea isn’t very accepting
• Hated college because he felt like it was too structured and he doesn’t like being told what to do
• His favorite color is red (obviously)
• Doesn’t want or have any tattoos
• Most of the decor in his house was handmade impulsively and placed somewhere random
• Ultimately wants to move out of the bunker and into a more realistic house with no sci-fi-like doorbells or weapons but his paranoia stops him
• Sometimes stays up till the morning watching security cams in and around the bunker out of fear someone will try and hurt Saeran or MC
• Loves the dopamine hit that buying new cars gives him. It’s almost addicting impulse buying expensive things
• Desperately needs someone to match his neurodivergentness and thankfully his twin brother does perfectly
• His glasses are constantly dirty he never cleans those mfs
• Likes to paint his nails black but it’s always cracked and messed up
• Him and Saeran made up a secret language that they refuse to teach anyone else, even MC
• Welded flowers and spray painted them for him and MC’s anniversary (Saeran told him which flowers to make bc he knows their meanings)
• MC’s engagement ring is a Ruby (to represent Saeyoung) and whatever stone is MC’s favorite swirling together to look like a binary star system
• We know in his route that he has muscles because of his work, but after he runs from the agency, MC noticed some of his bulkiness going away
• But he still keeps a lot of his muscle, he just has some more squishiness around his torso
• Regrets his bunker not having windows because he knows Saeran loves looking at the sky
• Builds a garden in his backyard for Saeran :)
• Too paranoid to get a therapist so one of his more toxic traits is using MC as a therapist
• Goes through periods of not sharing anything emotionally with MC & sharing way too much and borderline dumping all his shit on them
• Has bad abandonment issues
• Loves experimenting with makeup and showing Saeran and MC
• Has both an inferiority and superiority complex
• Owns an obsessive amount of stuffed animals and yes, they all have names
• Idk if this is canon or not but he has curly hair
• I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned this already but I hc him as bisexual (he literally mentioned at some point that V’s voice was his type)
• And since it’s basically canon he at least finds V attractive and V is more of a parental/guardian figure to him, I can conclude Saeyoung 100% has daddy issues (duh)
• Has had feelings for Vanderwood at some point
• Horrible at personal hygiene
• Doesn’t drink or do drugs (canon)
• He’s a compulsive liar :/
• Wants a cat but is so bad at taking care of himself he doesn’t trust himself taking care of an animal
• Has staff constellation, and planet stickers & posters all over his room (he’s a nerd)
• Learns sign language so when he’s mad at MC or Saeran he only communicates through sign to piss them off
• Wayyyyyyy too comfy invading people’s personal and cyber privacy because of his line of work
• Lactose intolerant because I think it’s funny
• Light sleeper because of the house he grew up in and his work at the agency
• Kind of apathetic to traumatic things other people go through if it wasn’t as “bad” as his. Not in a “I think I’m better than you” kind of way, but in a way where some issues just don’t compare to an abusive, alcoholic mother, a politician father who wants to kill him, being a secret agent made to do who knows what, and more.
• Catches up on childhood by indulging in childish hobbies and interests. He’s making up for the lost time :(
• His tummy always hurts from his horrible diet
• His cologne smells like apple spice (it’s actually a perfume for women but who cares)
• But tbh on the daily he smells like a mix of his basic masculine body wash, honey buddah chips, and grease (sorry)
• Very protective. Takes on a caretaker role for those closest to him
• Sometimes very controlling. Gets anxious when he can’t control everything around him.
• Acts very parental towards Saeran. He always did because he had to in their childhood, but Saeyoing still does it. It makes him feel good being able to properly provide for Saeran.
• He mentioned in his route that he never really wanted or thought about having a family other than Saeran, and I feel like he would still think the same after meeting MC. Just now he thinks of his family as just him, Saeran, and MC. I don’t think he’d want kids
• Literally never cleans his sheets…
• Can only convince himself to clean anything in his house because he doesn’t want Saeran to have to live in filth again
My first post. I just wanted to share these :)

An immortal companion.
The Suckening Fanfic :3!!
- Arthur & Void’s meeting
⚠️⚠️TW’s!!⚠️⚠️
- The Suckening SPOILERS!!
- blood
- mention of dead people
- deceased family
- biting
- british people……….😰😰
Britain. London to be specific. The city was quietly heading to sleep. Tourists back in their hostals for the night. Locals out wondering with their lover in arm. Walking a dog. Or going for a midnight run. Headed twards the homes in town. Arthur’s stomach screamed at him for food. Knowing he would need too feast eventually. A beautiful home on the other side of the bridge perks Arthur’s interests. He stops himself from heading inside. Instead going to the home we’re focusing on. A group of crows fly past Big Ben and down the bridge towards the country side. Large mansions scatter the fields. Deep thick forests as their privacy. And or for their secrets. A large country style home. Far off, away from the city. The furthest from London. Abandoned and wasted away by age. A home filled with happiness converted into chaos. Free from the pain the vampires gave to them, Vanya created that chaos. Arthur guided it. Opening the door to chaos. Falling in love with a murderer. Becoming the murderer. And soon enough ending his own killer.
The doors and windows all shattered the home spray painted ruined by the locals. A for sale sign in the grown out grass outside. A large sticker covering up most of the sign saying ‘Sold’.
Arthur walks twards the home. Down the abandoned street. Watching the other full homes erupt with happiness and joy. Dreading it. Dreading seeing the home his father had built. The family he had. And the home he destroyed. Saying goodbye to them would be the last thing he did tonight. The beatiful home crushed and crumbled as he walks by into the distant forest. The screams that echoed through that home loudly bang in his skull as he steps in the same path as he did once before. Following his old foot steps. Flashes of his hands covered in blood rather than ink. His clothes damp with his mothers blood. Her face looking horrified after being brutally mauled from her oldest son. Soon needing to head back to the home to drag the twins to their new home. Arthur’s eyes slowly watered up. Rememeber the twins. The horror of their faces. He wiped them away and pushes his glasses closer to his eyes. Pulling his jacket closer to himself. Hiding him in more shadow.
Eventually, getting to a empty slot of the forest. With small round rocks identifying the graves.
His brother, Mikey.
His sister, Emily.
His Mother, Danielle.
His Father, Micheal.
and one for himself. Arthur Bennett. The murderer.
He stands infront of the graves. Watching them. His young, rushed handwriting showing the initials. Some of the blood had dripped off his clothes marking the rocks. His permit handprint. Showing off what he had done.
Arthur takes his glasses off, slowly. His tears were retreating back into his eyes comes back. As he opened his mouth to begin talking. A rustle in the bushes startles him. He slowly raises his hands above his head. The bush continues to shake. Arthur annoyed replies to no one specifying. “I can hear you.” the rustling stops than hearing a “mreoww?” before seeing a fluffy creature jump out and begin rubbing on his ankle. His fancy black shoes covered in wet, damp mud. Seeing a black cat with glowing white eyes looking back up to him. The beast within grows.. bending down. Looking very calmly at the cat. Arthur sighs. “get away, cat.” he uses his mud covered shoe to push the cat. Making her fall over to her side. Still just staring at him. Rolling over to her stomach. “I don’t want to get you killed too.” he states. More angered than before. Pointing his finger towards the home. “Meowww!!” This time while she meows. Rubbing his eyes. “What a pain.” He utters to himself before watching her mouth open and shut. Her sharp teeth. Not like teeth matching his own. Regular cat teeth. He pulls back from the cat but continues to stare at her before breaking eye contact. Continuing to stare at grass that had grown over the dug up dirt from that night. Squatting down, resting his elbows on his knees. Further from the cat than before.
“Hello Mother..Emily..Mikey.. father.” He whispers saying ‘Father’ as if scared to talk to him. While looking at each individual grave. Pressing his hand on the blood stain. Minus his fathers. He respected his father. But.. cutting off his own thought he turned to his mother’s grave. “I will find her mother. I will fix this.” Placing his hand back onto the rock with his bloody hand below.
“mreow?” The cat stood up and began rubbing its head on Arthur’s knee. His eyes water again. His jacket still closed in on himself. The cat jumps on his leg. Using her claws to go up on his shoulders. Arthur screams “can’t you see I’m doing something!?” His voice shaky but tryin to keep his composure. Tears begin to fall despite that. The cat stops on his right shoulder. Sitting down and looking at him. The cats head bangs into Arthur’s ear. He can hear the cat is purring now. Practically vibrating with comfort. Arthur hasn’t felt this comfortable since he was young.
His mother’s warm embrace. His younger siblings soft and innocent hands holding his to cross the street to walk them to school. His father patting him on the shoulder.
This cat giving him the same comfort tears begin to fall. His body begins to shake. Being loved by a creature that doesn’t want to end him. A creature that comforts him. Unknowing of what he has done. The dirt beneath his feet begins to wet. His glasses falling off into the mud. Making a splat before coloring his striped pants brown. His hands go through his hair. Tears flowing out of his eyes. Just like what happened before. He bawled in the wet mud like a child. She rubs against him as he pets her more. His stomach growls louder the closer she gets to him. His hands move on their own. Grabbing the cat. Making her arms dangle. Her head tilts. And meows. Revealing her neck even more. The beast growls and grows. His mind screaming at him to feast. To finally fill the beasts needs. To free this cat from the world. Give her a reason to get far away from him.
“I need you, cat.” She begins to squirm and fight back. Revealing her teeth once more and biting his hand.
He bites her back. Digging his teeth into the cat. She stops wiggling. The comfort of the bite from both parties hypnotized them. Vampirizing the cat to cure both of their loneliness.
2 immortal companions. He released himself from the cats neck and stares at her. The cat looks loopy. Like she’s getting off of anesthesia. “Void.” He growls, his hands become more and more inky as the cat jumps off of him and sits in the mud. Still staring at him. He kneels down to apologize. But before he can speak the cat licks the bite from his hand before crawling on his neck once more. Arthur slowly stands up not to disturb her as she began purring once more. Accepting his new companion. He sighs and scratches her chin. “Apologies, cat.” His feet sinking into the mud more. Grabbing his glasses from the floor. Looking back to Void seeing she had fallen asleep in his shoulder. His mouth slowly moves upward before falling back down into his brooding glare.
Placing his hands back into his pockets. He pulls his jacket’s collar upwards to hide Void within the shadows. He shakes his glasses to get the mud off. Before placing them on his nose. Turning his back to the graves. Placing his hand on a tree near the bush Void came out from. Glaring as he looks down at his father. “Goodnight, father.”
walking the same way, to go retrieve the twins.
⭐️sighhh I love my depressed vampires,,,,
⭐️I’m probably going to write more about him cause I love Arthur :3!!

Title: Cold Read WC: 1000
“Hmm. Nicely played.”
—Richard Castle, Wrapped Up In Death (2 x 19)
She’s not in the habit of letting him know that he is—occasionally—useful. She acknowledges this still (mostly) unwelcome fact when it's appropriate to do so. Which is to say she does an exaggerated, cartoon-worthy series of double and triple takes to make sure that he is out of earshot, and when her conscience won’t let her get away with not saying something, she says something to anyone who is not him. And preferably to someone she can be reasonably sure won’t repeat the admission within a country mile of his permanently swollen head.
A year on, she is sheepish about this—her insistence that he is nothing but a hindrance and the grudging nature of her infrequent recognition. In the privacy of her own head, anyway, she is a little bit sheepish about it. In public, his ego, her eagerness to deflate it—it’s part of their routine. Their “public” expect it. That’s what he’d say, and if it weren’t part of their routine for her to categorically deny that they have a public, she’d have to agree.
So, everything seems to be standard operating procedure in Will Medina’s apartment at first. He is intrigued. He’s inquisitive to the point of being unconscionably nosy, and that’s . . . useful. Of course, it’s disruptive, too. Police nosiness is—and must be—methodical. There’s a by-the-book way to go through the medicine cabinet, a right way to rifle through someone’s underwear drawer, whether that someone is a victim or a person of interest. His way is not the right way.
But it’s useful, and Will Medina’s apartment is a case in point. It is like a museum. It’s a far cry from a dire, half-furnished SRO or the one-hundred-and-first direct from Ikea place she’s seen that month. It’s full of interesting things, and the fact that he’s acting like a kid in a candy store means that she doesn’t have to acknowledge that some part of her wants that same freedom to press her nose right up against the glass case housing the monkey skulls and turn over the shrunken head looking for a “Made in China” sticker. She’d like to forget for a moment that Will Medina is almost certainly a murder victim, and she gets to live vicariously through him. It’s a guilty pleasure, but it’s useful.
It’s still business as usual after his bachelor accessory crack. She and Esposito tag-team school him on how to read an apartment for its occupant’s relationship status. That’s useful as she gets to talk out mutual conclusions with one of her detectives, and it’s fun, because reminding him of the limits of his boy genius powers is always fun. He counters with some schooling of his own, lofting the well-worn paperback, and suddenly it’s neither useful nor fun. There’s a charged, unspoken moment between the two of them that is decidedly not for public consumption.
Oh, there’s the line about how she has only slightly misjudged the relationship. That’s dripping with the expected innuendo. She can sense the smirk Ryan and Esposito exchange as Ryan strolls up and unabashedly outs himself as an enthusiastic consumer of chick lit. That’s all part of the Castle and Beckett show. But while the boys are winking and elbowing each other not quite behind her back, he catches her eye and it’s the weight of his hand on the cover of the book speaks—no pun intended—volumes.
She is suddenly, urgently aware that the kid in the candy store that she, until moments ago, found equal parts useful and disruptive has very recently been in her candy store. He’s had her in his candy store, and her brain needs to stop with the candy store metaphor immediately or sooner. The candy store metaphor is a problem.
She thinks, with a pang, of the meagre survivors among her book collection—smoke damaged, water-logged to varying degrees, and distressingly piecemeal relative to the whole. She thinks, with sharply escalating alarm, of her well-stocked shelves before the explosion and the hours he had, unsupervised, to rifle through them. Her mind tries to work its way at a gallop through every revelatory item that he might have handled, fondled, scrutinized in those unsupervised hours, but it’s the books her attention keeps snapping back to.
What had she left out on the coffee table, the kitchen table? What might have jutted out from the otherwise neat line of spines to reveal itself as something she’s inclined to return to over and over? What had wavy pages and swollen covers, marking it as a bathtub book and how, exactly, might that knowledge have struck him?
She feels naked and exposed, and well she might.
It’s the books she snooped at his place. Oh, yes, she clocked the scented candle on the tub—the scented candles everywhere, actually. She’d raised an eyebrow when he produced a spare toothbrush from some kind of bottomless supply of them. She’d snuck her glances at photos and knickknacks and scanned her share of shelves and drawers and closets.
But it’s the books she well and truly snooped, down to the gum wrappers he’d clearly used as emergency bookmarks, and the torn-out moleskine pages with their scrawled notes that he’d tucked into the flaps of too many dust jackets to count. It’s the books she’d snooped when she couldn’t sleep, when she got up a second time, a third time, and found it still too early to start making breakfast. She had studied their spines and their dog-eared pages. She’d chuckled to herself about the mix of rigid organization and absolutely haphazard arrangements. She’d speculated on the number of things displayed in prominent places that he absolutely has not read. She had delighted  in every telling detail.
It’s the books for her. It would have been the books for him. In an instant—in the time it takes for him to catch her eye and thumb the creased spine of a paperback—they both know it’s the books.
A/N: I can't decide whether Beckett would sooner have Castle go through her underwear drawer or her bookshelves . . .

Whimsigothic home decor on a budget
Lights.  Not everyone has the money for a Tiffany stained glass lamp nor a fringed Victorian-style lampshade, and that is ok.  Try a typical string of white fairy lights, or nature and fantasy themed lights.  You can also get a stained glass lightbulb.  https://lavenderconstellation.store/collections/home-decor/products/magical-mushroom-lamp-led-night-light
Speaking of stained glass, window film is a good option for bringing color into your home.  There are several stained glass design options, or you can go for a prism-like option that’ll shower your room in rainbows.  https://www.amazon.com/rabbitgoo-Privacy-Rainbow-Decorative-Non-Adhesive/dp/B01N20YR6B/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.7IuzOBu9keKshTNN3mkd-N8tpWAFsYRIV0ouHNdEeeuFQnxmfPWSlIj5AOINltgujXJL350fjcuPUqvkA7qE8EV1jRIp3Cb7SS2E_3ensZDC7YGrIUJUDuFoXyJUzoAaubOT4MHDFyxAGa0O0KJwLJrcka1cbIBBm6sqvWoPlmqYUfWb8Y3oQgzmLpqKP4JPQewDsYs5zoCzWcJwRlsZe-XMkEKHkIV98glPdYzd9X4VADl3IciKUs5lbNxqpoC3jFFKBPHnXHYxVJIFsY2jXvZb2m7XpyYM6uFeAZX_GCs.vV9V3wtusdEYUCL87IAKODkjErjag0hvIDXX576-Ppw&dib_tag=se&hvadid=557208947650&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9004664&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=9072085278713993898&hvtargid=kwd-408635345190&hydadcr=7467_13183976&keywords=amazon+rainbow+window+film&qid=1712327956&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
Tapestries! Could have celestial prints, tarot cards, dark nature prints, or a mandala.
Plants! Real ones, fake ones, doesn’t matter. Find some celestial themed planting pots.  Hang some vines.
More tips:
DIY! Paint your mirror frame.  Paint an old box.  Have fun!
Don’t do a big shopping haul at once.  Pace yourself. Slowly incorporate decor elements into your home.  Let the vibe grow naturally.

Look y’all as a grown ass adult with privacy, I’m not worried about people looking into MY personal space aka my phone. Just like how your car’s glovebox is an extension of your home and the police cannot search it without a warrant; your phone is your personal space NO ONE is entitled to (bar parents/guardians but again this is coming from an adult so i get that struggle but don’t).
If you genuinely don’t want to be looked at weird (which, don’t live your life worried about people’s PERCEPTION of you. You know you’re not a creep who’s into animals, and someone thinking you are doesn’t make you one) just invest in a privacy screen. Mine came apart of my phone protector kit, it was no more than like $15 for 2 on like amazon + came with camera glass protectors too.
Like IDC man I will whip out my fat ass ipad DECKED out in anime stickers, slap that bitch on a table and type away having a grand time on Lioden no matter what event. I’ll look at a bitch crazy tryna look over my shoulder and ask weird questions.. Lol.
TLDR; until a toggle can be implemented, try a privacy screen + don’t let people’s perception of your actions control you

From Frosted Windows to Plush Throws: Essential Winter Décor Tips
As winter draws near, the days shorten, temperatures drop, and the warmth of our homes becomes a vital sanctuary from the cold outside. To transform your living space into a cozy winter retreat, focus on creating an inviting atmosphere that exudes comfort and warmth. Whether you’re looking to add a touch of seasonal charm with frosted window treatments or integrate plush throws and artificial greenery, here’s a comprehensive guide to essential winter décor tips.
1. Transforming Your Windows
Winter brings a distinct aesthetic to windows, offering an opportunity to embrace frosty beauty and create a welcoming ambiance:
Frosted Window Treatments: Consider using sheer curtains or frosted window films to soften the harsh outdoor light and add a gentle glow to your interiors. Frosted films mimic the effect of snow on windows, offering privacy while diffusing natural light. They’re easy to install and remove, making them a versatile choice for renters or those who prefer temporary changes.
Layered Curtains: Opt for heavier curtains or drapes in rich, warm colors like deep reds, golds, or deep greens. Velvet, wool, and thermal fabrics not only add texture and warmth but also provide insulation, helping to keep your home snug and comfortable.
Winter-themed Accessories: Adorn windows with seasonal accessories like snowflake or star-shaped window stickers for a festive feel. These little touches bring a touch of magic and whimsy to your space without permanent changes.
2. Creating a Cozy Living Room
The living room is the heart of the home during winter, where comfort is paramount:
Plush Throws: These are a must for winter decor. Choose throws made from soft materials like faux fur, chunky knits, or cashmere. They not only add a layer of warmth but also serve as a visual centerpiece. Drape them over your sofa or armchair to invite warmth and coziness.
Textured Pillows: Incorporate pillows with textures like cable knit, velvet, or faux suede. Mixing and matching textures and colors can enhance the visual appeal and tactile comfort of your space.
Fireplace Mantel Decor: If you have a mantel, decorate it with garlands made of faux evergreen leaves and berries. Complement with scented candles in festive holders to create a warm, inviting glow. Artificial poinsettias or other winter flowers can be placed in vases to add a splash of color without the maintenance of fresh flowers.
3. Embracing Faux Plants and Flowers
Artificial greenery can add a touch of nature without the upkeep:
Fake Plants and Flowers: Opt for realistic-looking faux plants like eucalyptus, pine branches, or berry-filled arrangements. They are perfect for winter, providing a natural touch without the hassle of watering. Place them in vases or on shelves to add a fresh, green element to your decor. Consider arranging them in frosted vases or metallic containers for a wintry twist.
Holiday Centerpieces: Create festive centerpieces using fake flowers such as poinsettias, amaryllis, or winter berries in elegant ceramic or glass containers. These can be used on the dining table, coffee table, or even as an accent on a kitchen counter.
Greenery Garlands: Hang faux garlands along mantels, banisters, or around mirrors to add a lush, wintry feel. Mix them with fairy lights for a touch of magic, especially in the evenings.
4. Warm Lighting
Lighting is a crucial aspect of winter décor:
Fairy Lights: Use fairy lights in glass jars or vases to mimic the glow of ice crystals. These can be draped across shelves, under glass domes, or within wreaths for a soft, twinkling ambiance.
Layered Lighting: Combine ambient lighting, task lighting, and accent lighting to create a cozy atmosphere. Consider placing lamps with warm-toned bulbs around your home. LED candles or battery-operated tealights can provide a safe alternative to real candles, offering a soft, flickering glow.
Natural Elements: Incorporate winter branches into your lighting design. Silvered or white-painted branches placed in vases, with fairy lights twined around them, can add a beautiful, natural touch to your space.
5. Winter Textiles
Textiles are essential for adding warmth and comfort to your space:
Plush Rugs: Lay down a soft, thick rug in a neutral or bold winter color to create a cozy base. Rugs in deep reds, blues, or greens can contrast with the white and gray tones of snow, grounding your space and adding a comforting texture underfoot.
Blanket Ladder: A blanket ladder can serve as both storage and a decorative element. Place soft, thick blankets on it for easy access and a charming, rustic feel.
Winter Bedding: Swap out your bedding for flannel sheets, heavy duvets, and warm blankets. Opt for winter-themed prints like snowflakes, reindeer, or evergreen trees to keep the seasonal vibe alive.
6. Adding Warmth to Kitchen and Dining Spaces
Even the kitchen can reflect the cozy comforts of winter:
Table Setting: Use winter-colored linens like deep red, green, and gold for tablecloths and napkins. Incorporate faux greenery like pinecones, artificial berries, or mistletoe into centerpieces or place settings.
Scented Candles: Place candles with warm, spicy scents like cinnamon, apple, or clove in strategic spots around the kitchen. They not only look beautiful but also fill the air with inviting scents.
Decorative Baskets: Fill baskets with dried fruits, nuts, and pinecones for a rustic touch. These can sit on countertops or dining tables, adding a homely feel.
7. Seasonal Art and Decor
Winter-themed artwork can reinforce the season's charm:
Wall Art: Look for paintings, prints, or wall decals featuring snowy landscapes, animals, or winter florals. These pieces can brighten up your walls and add a touch of winter wonderland to your space.
Wall Decals: For renters, removable wall decals with snowflakes or icicles can transform plain walls quickly and easily.
Frames with Personal Touches: Display framed family photos in wintery frames or shadow boxes with seasonal finds like dried leaves, mini pinecones, or even vintage holiday cards.
8. Maintaining a Cozy Atmosphere
Maintaining a cozy winter environment requires a blend of décor, functionality, and mood:
Declutter and Simplify: A tidy space contributes to a cozy feel. Store away summer items, keep surfaces uncluttered, and maintain a minimalist look.
Incorporate Heaters: If your space allows, invest in small space heaters with a stylish design. They not only keep you warm but can also serve as decor pieces, especially if they blend in with your existing decor.
Essential Oils and Diffusers: Scent your space with comforting, winter-inspired essential oils like cinnamon, clove, or pine. Diffusers can add a soft, relaxing scent to your home while adding to its visual appeal.
By integrating these elements, you can create a warm, inviting atmosphere that is perfect for winter. The combination of natural and artificial elements—such as frosted windows, plush throws, and faux greenery—will make your home feel like a haven, regardless of the chill outside. Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening by the fire or entertaining friends for a cozy winter gathering, these décor tips will help you transform your home into a comforting retreat during the colder months.
