As a life long Girl Scout, this makes me pretty happy.

I was lucky to grow up in a council that was really affirming and welcoming, and introduced me to great examples of older queer women who really helped me embrace my own identity, but at that time it really was location dependent, what your experience with GS was. I love that this badge exists, even more that it exists in a series honoring different federally recognized special observances - giving adults tools for having meaningful conversations with youth.

Anyway, I'm off to earn my badge...

Light trails ✨

Happy Tuesday! These are my photos from my light trails photo shoot. Do you create these photos we went to a dark room and put the camera on a slow shutter speed, we then put coloured tissue paper over our phone light. and drew shapes in the air.  I was really surprised with how well it came out, and I wish to do this again sometime soon!

One of my friends used to live right next to an abandoned cemetery from the 1800s and they would spend hours just keeping them company, cleaning the graves, etc. because no one else even remembered they were there. I never got to visit, but my friend always talked about how peaceful it was.

cemeteries aren't creepy they're actually devoted to memory and rest and love and humanity
