Parra the Giraffe, Kwami of Confusion

Parra is a weird kwami, a title she wears with great pride. Most of what she does is solely to Confuse people just to see their reactions; which results in her saying random things that don’t make sense, not even to herself. In short she’s silly, the type most would expect to pull pranks, but the most you’ll get is strange sayings. Her pattern is constantly shifting.

Parra's Miraculous is a pink spotted headband, and her tool is a mambele. Her favorite food is blue raspberry candies, and her transformation phase is “Parra, spots rise!”.

Parra currently resides in the Enduring Box, which can be found in Zimbabwe their Guardian.

I tried to make the appearance make at least some sort of sense with the power/user.

For the rabbit, I found the old post, which included a picture of an optical illusion and since the picture was black and white I chose those colors for the kwami. The pattern is kinda supposed to be like lines, or like paint splotches? It kinda looks like a cloud actually, which is also fitting (Cloud the mind? haha).

I didn't find the original post for the dog but I found Penumbra Graciela Hortenzia Truffle McSmore the III instead which is honestly so much better. Look at her, she's such a cutie, she deserves all the pets <3.

I also didn't find the cat so I just picked a random orange cat because the power name is Zoomies. Orange cats are like the cats known for their zoomies. Also, look at the picture, that cat is about to destroy the house.

I talked about poppy seeds in my reblog so I just went all out with that. She kinda looks like a strawberry to me lol

I found the urutau post, kwami included, which helped a lot! I just redrew it in my kwami style/rules.

Miraculous Challenge (Tumblr)

I asked five of my mutuals on Tumblr to give me an animal and a superpower and I would try to create a miraculous out of it. To the creators yes I know we did this already, but I'm organizing my Tumblr page, so I moving them to a single post. Also, some of these got a little reworked cause I wasn't satisfied with the results, but other than that I hope you all enjoy yourselves. How It Works: When the user activates this power, the holder can instantly teleport to anywhere they desire, so long as they have a clear picture of where they want to go. They have five teleports, as each one represents a minute on their timer, and whatever they hold or whoever will also teleport with them.

How It Works: When the user activates this power, everything around the holder starts to slow down for them, as they're now extremely fast. A small benefit to them is that their timer is also under the effects of Zoomies. However, depending on how long you use the power, the moment you exit the power, you might immediately detransform, so be careful.

Alright, so, this was a little annoying mostly with the powers. First off, giraffe because, well, yeah. Look at her. The boomerang and yo-yo become something like a flail.

Concept and powers. So, the concept of integration comes from a concept of migration and bringing together cultures, ideas, and more so, integration. The powers I want to give a shoutout to @adventuremaker21 for the idea of Kaalki and Tikki's powers being able to create a pocket dimension. I do like it, but it does need to be limited since this is only a two kwami fusion. So, Blood Spot can make a small pocket dimension that she can use to hold/contain things.

Julerose AUs

No matter where, in any universe, I'm yours.

These two background gays and their wholesome vibes are almost single-handedly keeping me in the miraculous fandom, I swear to god. You could put these two in anything that isn't Miraculous and it would be all the better for it.

Such is the nature of many conversations I've had with @le-chiggin-nuggie over the years, coming up with AUs that these two could (and rightfully should) be the stars of. I'm posting some of our favorites up here in the hopes it will intrigue and inspire- we've had a lot of fun coming up with them, and writing little bits for them, and I want to share that with you guys here.

Description of each AU under the cut:

Starting on top left and going clockwise...

Carnaval Clandestin. This is an idea of mine that I'm currently writing a full story for. I've seen a few of circus-ey type AUs, and I am absolutely trash for spooky carnival stuff, so I decided I'd throw my hat in the ring. These performers may lean heavily into shock value and creepy stuff, but it's all in good fun. They don't mean any harm, really. Juleka in this AU is the mysterious head clown, nicknamed "Reflekta." She has shapeshifting abilities and can look like anyone else, and takes no small amount of pleasure in using her abilities to scare the living hell out of patrons. Rose, or "Princess Rose," as she likes to be called, is a budding alchemist who sells novelty and remedial potions out of her snake-oil caravan.

Pirate and Fairy. This is what you get from trying to overanalyze Peter Pan, a stupid book which has no cohesion and makes even less sense than Wonderland. Pirates and fairies are a fantastic combo, however, and since Juleka's mom is literally a pirate and Rose acts like she was pulled out of Cinderella, that's what this picture is. I just drew a simple, generic action scene, no actual story behind it. This just seems like the logical conclusion for a high fantasy or DnD AU, but anyone can do what they want with this. Nugg's also suggested Rose as a mermaid, I know Princess!Rose is popular, and all of them work just as well.

Teen Titans Crossover. This is a favorite of Nugg's, putting Rose in the shoes of Starfire and Juleka in the cloak of Raven. Pretty self-explanatory here. Others may have their rosters, our reasoning is such: Kim is Beast Boy and Max is Cyborg, and sometimes they're paired off as well. Nathaniel takes Robin's role, Alix is X, Chloe's Terra and she LIVES, Marinette and Adrien are Jinx and Kid Flash, and everybody else is everybody else.

Death and the Vampyre. This one came about after listening to too much Steam Powered Giraffe. "Delilah Morreo's" throwaway line about the eponymous vampire queen being friends with Death, coupled with familiarity with Discworld's interpretation of Death, led to this idea. Perhaps Juleka is a vampire who's been stuck in her castle for hundreds of years, explaining her dated clothing. Perhaps Rose is the chipper "new" Death, who does the duty with pep and respect. They meet. Sitcom antics.

Angel. Nugg's idea, and a very interesting one. It's forbidden for celestial beings to fraternize with mortals... but that's not stopping Rose from playing favorites. A bit of good luck to brighten Juleka's gloomy day, perhaps, or some divine inspiration on her music. If she were only able to be seen by her... That's the setup, the rest is up to the prospective storyteller.

Different Heroes. Nugg's currently in the process of writing a story involving a full new set of Kwamis. Rose, or "Princess Oz," holds the Lion here whilst Juleka, "Corbeau," holds the Raven. Given how that last season ended, the side characters may need new kwamis anyway. And making Rose's new miraculous a crown and Juleka's a capelet? *chef's kiss* Immaculate.

Wonderful. Here's one we don't see around too often in any fandom- a crossover with Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Gotta love those classic madness vibes, and it's so old that which Wonderland you use is like a sliding scale from Disney Animation to American McGee. That, and I've been on a total Alice kick ever since I found the Royal Ballet production online, which everyone should watch at the earliest convenience.

Anyway, I love how Caladrius looks, exactly like I imagined it. For Inspirit I was trying to make her look a little like a princess ('cuz of the tiara) and a cheerleader('cuz of the power). I am not sure if I really succeeded but the top looks pretty nice but the bottom looks... bare? Maybe I should've given her shoes or something.

Chapter 19

Damian is not happy. Everyone has introduced themselves and it only remains for the two intruders to do so as well, he hopes they refuse to be part of this, but from Drake's enthusiasm, clearly his wishes will not be heard and the two vigilantes will be part of the MT in some way or other.

"Well, it seems serious..." Nightwing hesitates for a moment, but does it anyway, it's the first time that he gives his identity in this way, remembering that they don’t just give their identities, but the MT has trusted them and it seems that their Working method differs a lot from Batman's. "I'm Richard Grayson, you can call me Dick."

"Yeah, we're not doing that." Alix responds with an amused smile.

"So you're Tim, right?" Marinette asks Robin, who nods and removes his mask. "This will be easier then."

"Was the suit delay related to the MT?"

"Something like that." She answers vaguely, but it's Alix who breaks the mysterious air of the matter.

"Stealing museums is not something that is directly related to our vigilante jobs."

Dick looks in surprise between the pink haired girl and the bluenette, who just sighs. He's no stranger to robbery when necessary, just that they admit it so casually is disconcerting. Tim on the other hand, he knows that he will not be very comfortable with the information.

"Do you rob museums?" Tim asks a bit dubious, that's not something he would have expected considering his participation in similar cases taking down robberies and other similar crimes, he didn't think they would commit them.

"Oh yes, my next dream is to rob a Russian museum." Felix responds wryly, but takes his next sentence more seriously. "It's not something we do for pleasure. First we will explain what MT is and then you will understand better why we rob a museum… It will give me a headache."

"Security was dire for supposedly keeping such valuable objects." Damian scoffs, leaning back in his chair, not looking at his brothers. "I would have done a better job while I sleep."

Dick just looks at the boy curiously, did they take him with them? Surely he goes to school, right? Although it not was school day when they first met him and he was at the farmhouse, he's probably homeschooled alongside his monstrous dogs, you can still feel his paws on his face. He doesn't really know what to think of such a brilliant woman being a vigilante, although perhaps he's taking too much reference from Bruce and Oliver who are the complete opposite, he's not exactly a good reference himself either even though he's less grim than the original Batman.

Marie Lenoir and, in general, the majority in that room seem to her very healthy emotionally speaking or, at least, not constipated like him and all his brothers.

"We'll explain it in detail later. Chloe, can you start?

"Sure, Lenoir." She smiles as she calls her last name in her common haughty tone, which has become a way of joking between them. "For the public, the MT is the name of the vigilante organization and which is not related in any way to the heroes, which is not true. The MT is originally the group of heroes… turned into vigilantes to be able to investigate the whereabouts of the butterfly without raising suspicions."

"We haven't done very well, he's a slippery shit." Alix complains getting a little hit from Nathaniel.

"There are kids."

"I've heard worse things, Kurtzberg." Damian dismisses his concerns dismissively. Marinette just gives him a worried look, it's seen that he is holding back from saying something more offensive, he seems about to attack everyone and is worrying. He's been acting very defensive for a few days now.

"Stop saying my last name as if it were an insult."

"Then stop being an idiot, Kurtzberg."

Luka sighs, he's normally a very patient and understanding person, but everyone is a little nervous, easily excitable, they haven't been that nervous since God Shit and Not in Hell joined the team, due to the fact that one is a demon and the other a stranger to most except Marinette (and Felix apparently).

"Returning." Kagami is not willing to put up with everyone's way of acting, but she won't scold them either, surely Felix will have words with everyone and Marinette will take care of Damian. "We are the heroes, we all have magical knowledge and the MT is an organization destined to protect the Miraculous, the magical jewels that give us our powers. Our main mission is to recover the butterfly and watch over the other jewels, whether we have them in our possession or not. The museum robbery was the recovery of the Giraffe's Miraculous."

The MT, in a synchronized way, complains in its own way. Damian insults the man behind the mask, Felix complains about it being night, Chloe exclaims about the bad time to do it, Kagami mutters how annoyed it is, Nathaniel is just a long wail with a comforting whisper from Marc.

“Well, it’s weird. Normally, I would have more suspicions, but the Master said that what she said about the Miraculous of Perception is true, and that that Miraculous was lost way before the others were put on boxes in the temple. And Tikki also confirmed that Glamm was a real kwami”

“Yeah, Plagg did too. Apparently they didn’t got along really well”

Ladybug snickered. “I guess he’s still mad about Glamm hiding his cheese stash and blaming Trixx for it?”

Chat Noir grinned, taking a seat next to her. “Yeah, a bit. Cheese is serious business for him. So, what’s the plan of action then?”

“Basically, we wait and see. There’s a small chance she’s working with Hawk Moth, so we have to keep our eyes open.”

Chat Noir nodded. There was something about that Chameleon girl that rubbed him the wrong way, but after jumping to conclusion with Volpina… with Lila, he knew he has to be more cautious this time.

“Chamelopardalis!” blurted Lila out. Glamm looked at her with a single eye.

“… That’s a giraffe”

“I know, I just wanted to see if you were paying attention”

“I am.” Glamm said, focusing again on the TV. So far, nothing had appeared on the Ladyblog, and Nadja Chamack had stopped her report after the higher ups noticed it was Mister Pigeon again. Lila had been furious at Glamm for going after such a crappy akuma. They, however, pointed out that they had gained good will with the Ladybug, and that mattered more, as fame and fortune will arrive sooner than later. “You should stop refreshing that site and do something else. “No, I’ll just ask Alya tomorrow before class starts”

Glamm *did* know about math, but if they admitted such, Lila would make them do her homework. The unlikely duo started with Lila’s homework, and after some ups and downs, Lila managed to finish it before bedtime. She wouldn’t admit it, but she had enjoyed the ‘challenge’.

At the next day, Lila was careful when going for breakfast, hiding Glamm in her purse… but it turns out it hadn’t been necessary. There were no signs of her mom being home, just a note saying she had been called from work early and would be working late. Lila had to pretend to not care, and Glamm just distracted her with more talk about yesterday. It turned out that while Alya had reported the akuma on the Ladyblog, she had been curiously quiet about the new hero. Lila, was, of course, pissed off about this, but Glamm assured her that Alya might want to do an interview or some other better feature than just defeating Mister Pigeon.

They were so engrossed in their talk that they almost didn’t notice Nino approaching them, like almost every morning. Glamm was quick to hide in Lila’s hair, and later in her school bag.

“Hey Lila, good morning!”

“OH! Hey Nino! Didn’t see you there!” said a scared Lila, looking everywhere for Glamm, until she noticed they weren’t there.

“Yeah, I’m totally a ninja… Is something wrong?”

“What? Oh no!” Lila stopped looking for Glamm. Either they can turn invisible or they managed to hide before Nino noticed, so she was relieved either way. “Nah, it’s all good, I’m a bit nervous for today math work” she said as they started walking to school together. Normally, Lila would go earlier or later so she wouldn’t have to walk together with him every day, but of course she couldn’t do that every day. She felt uncharacteristically at ease after seeing that Nino hadn’t caught sight of Glamm floating around her, that one would have been hard to explain with or without perception powers.

“You tell me about it, I had a hard time doing it! I’m half-sure some of my answers are wrong”

“We can check them when we arrive to school. I’m pretty confident I have them right myself”

“Cool! Wait didn’t you say you had trouble with math?” Lila looked away. “Sorry, didn’t meant it like that”

“Don’t worry. I did have help with that.”

“Oh, cool, my mom says it’s a sign of maturity to admit you need help”

Lila stopped for a second there. She quickly shook it out of her system. Nino didn’t notice, or pretend he didn’t.

“You must have a great relationship with your mom”

Nino shrugged. “Yeah, except when I need to clean my room” he chuckled. “Let’s just say my room isn’t the tidiest room you’ll see.”

Lila giggled… And then she stopped in her tracks again. She had been genuinely amused at Nino’s lame joke.

In no time, they reached their school and soon their classroom and their seats and started comparing their notes. They only had different results on two of the problems, and Max was quickly called as an arbitrer to point out which one was right. It was a draw, as both were wrong. Lila laughed it off, and then noticed she wasn’t even mad at having been told she was wrong, she actually had had fun just talking with Nino and being taught by Max (even if he sounded a bit condescending, although Kim later told them it wasn’t on purpose)

Alya and Marinette arrived while they were finishing comparing notes, Marinette glared at her. Lila could bet she thought she was shamelessly copying Nino’s work and really couldn’t blame her for thinking that about her… and then realized what she just thought.

“Ugh, I still can’t believe it!”

“What’s wrong babe?” asked Nino, quickly going to his girlfriend. Lila approached them cautiously, remembering hard to not try to impress them or lie, as without Glamm’s passive magic, she didn’t know if she would be believed or shunned.

“There is a new hero running around!” Said Alya in a weird tone, that Nino couldn’t really tell if it was excited or angry.

“You don’t seem very happy about it” Lila hid behind Nino immediately after saying that, as Alya glared at her. Alya seemed to notice and took a deep breath.

“Yeah, sorry. I normally would, but I was playing with a new app on my phone that turned out to be a battery drainer, and long story short, I didn’t get any video of her.”

“I’m sure she will appear again, don’t worry about it. Besides, it was Mister Pigeon.”

Alya chuckled at that. “Yeah, but…” she looked at Nino, and then looked away. “For the looks of it, Ladybug replaced Carapace”

“WHAT?” surprisingly for Alya, it had been Lila who yelled, not Nino.

“She was green, the only green miraculous is the turtle, so what other one could she be?” said Alya, with a clear angry tone to her voice.

“A Chameleon!” yelled Marinette and Lila at the same time. They looked at each other and then diverted their eyes. Even if Alya was annoyed at the replacement of Nino, she had to admit that seeing Marinette and Lila agree onto something was amusing.

“What?” asked Nino, breaking the uncomfortable silence. Unlike Alya, he seemed okay with the concept of being replaced, either temporarily or on a permanent basis. He also had been busy last day with Chris, so he held no ill will to Ladybug if she had indeed replaced him. “A Chameleon?”

“Well, she couldn’t be the turtle; Carapace has a shield as a weapon, right?” Alya nodded. “I saw the fight, she had a to…a whip thing” Lila tried as hard as she could to sound convincing. She was telling the truth after all.

“Yeah, I saw it too” said Marinette, looking a bit annoyed at having to agree with Lila. Lila took that look of annoyance as victory. Telling the truth was a small price to pay to get Marinette annoyed.

“Really? I didn’t manage to catch Ladybug after that.”

“You should ask her then.”

“I don’t wanna bother her”

Nino and Marinette looked at each other and laughed.

“What?” she said, annoyed, crossing her arms

Marinette put her hand on Alya’s shoulder. “Didn’t you stopped her the other day to ask her which was her favorite flavor of Ice Cream?”

“That’s different, someone asked that in the Ladyblog, and I pride myself of having just facts on my blog.”

Lila had to use all her willpower to not laugh at that. After all, all her phony interviews were still up.
