'Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope' signage on the The Nichigeki (Nippon) Japan Theater in Sukiyabashi, Tokyo, 1978. This iconic Art Deco building survived World War 2 but existed from 1933 until 1981. It’s replacement didn’t last long, it was shut down in 2018. This particular movie poster could only be found in Japan at the time.

I loved how Godzilla Minus One (2023) re-created the scene from the original Gojira/Godzilla (1954) of the reporters in Ginza.

There were many call backs to the original film, but subtly placed so that they did not interrupt the flow of the story. A masterful stroke by writer/director Takashi Yamazaki.
