MY FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 225:

Hinowa really breaks my heart. I was so happy she had the key to defeat Housen.

My children I love them so much!

They have the exact same expression as they were watching Gintoki getting the upperhand on Housen!  It tickled me to no end. I’d like to think this was the exact moment BOTH Tsukky and Kamui fell for Gin-chan. Lmao. 

A wall for a wall.

Tsukky and her Hyakka ladies are really pretty freaking amazing. I loved that they were basically making a pin cushion out of Housen...

...even though their attacks were probably little more than literal pinpricks to him. And Kamui’s reaction was adorable. 

Gin-chan being a super protective manly man.

SHIPS TALLY:

GinTsu: as mentioned above, Gintoki was being unusually protective of Tsukuyo, even though she is clearly able to take care of herself. I knew it had to mean something. Again, while it’s a ship I could never get on, I would also never deny its existence or potential because that would just be unfair. I hate it when people do that to my OTPs, so I will never purposefully do it to other people’s OTP.

And I’m not going to include GinKamui this time since it was obviously all just in my head...at least in terms of this chapter. (~.^)

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.

A Gintama episode a day keeps the ending away…Episode 144

Episode Title: Don't Trust Bedtime Stories

MY 11 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN EPISODE 144 (manga chaps 223, 224 and 225):

I wish the fight between Gintoki, Tsukky and Housen lasted longer. Felt longer in the manga but it was over so quickly in the episode. Still, awesome fight. 

1) I pretty much wanted Housen very dead after seeing what he did to Hinowa. I wanted him to die slowly and painfully too.

2) Awwwwww...the women of Yoshiwara broke my heart. 

3) Really, fuck Housen. And bless Hinowa for still retaining her brightness as Yoshiwara’s sun despite all the shit he put her through.

4) I love Seita. He’s such a good child.

5) Seita’s a lucky kid...although, unfortunately, after their fight against Housen, I think he only had half that number of mothers left.

6) Gintoki still look so damn good even though he was a wreck.

7) Seita’s immediate attachment and loyalty to Gintoki is really what makes him that much more endearing.

8) It was kinda heart-breaking seeing Tsukuyo desperately crawling over to where Gintoki fell.

9) Grrrrrr!

10) Gintoki delivering the analog to digital message.

11) Very not true, and thank the gods for that.

SHIPS TALLY:

Gintoki x Tsukuyo: they should’ve just gotten a room.

Gintoki x Hyakka: but seriously, who could resist Gin-chan’s charms?
