Yeah Tsubaki is great, like he is a genuinely amazing fighter and good at strategy so I get why people in universe would find him intimidating (especially if you are a c3 agent who has to fight him), but he's such a fucking dork especially when it comes to his subclasses/family, you just get a strong urge to call him a dork/nerd.

There's only so many time you can see someone start choking because they laughed to hard at their own pun, before they stop being intimidating.

(it ain't a complaint just be making fun of Tsubaki, he's actually my favorite character in Servamp rn)

I love Tsubaki. He's simply just the fox boy. I mean, in the Servamp winter vacation CD, licht literally picks him and kuro up and pets em. Like i feel like someone could literally put his fox form in a harness, and he'd do nothing more than squirm around.

I feel like Sakuya would try to leash that fox and throw him either out the window or in a body of water.

Also do keep giving me servamp stuff to work with please. I'm trying to make my account more diverse and talking about servamp is really entertaining. I won't forget about the inbox next time, i promise!

regarding your last post: If he saw his kids in Youtarou, wouldn't that mean that Gear kind of acted like a dad to Youtarou, though?

That’s not really... How that works, Nonny.

1. Gear never met his kids and wasn’t even sure if he had any, so it’d be impossible for him to “see” them in Youtarou, on account of there being nothing to see since there was nothing to draw from. He straight up admits to having left before they were ever born to avoid prejudice being lobbed at them. At least, worse prejudice than they already would have gotten from rumors.

2. From what we’ve seen of them, Gear acted as a mentor and friend to Youtarou. That’s it. Just because he’s older doesn’t mean he’s automatically going to slot himself into a parental role, and I honestly am very tired of this being the kneejerk every time there’s a relationship between an older individual and a younger one in any media. Sometimes relationships aren’t... Familial.

I see this even in media between two adults where there’s a four year age diff at BEST and it’s... Really creepy and kind of dehumanizing, speaking as someone who was ALSO forced into a “parental” role for my younger sister when i was really, really young, and the responsibilities that came with that.

I actually find it very interesting how, because when we are first introduced to the pair Youtarou is shown as a child, that’s shaped a particular part of the fandom’s entire mindset about what their relationship has to be, even though Gear isn’t, by far, the first person to have met a very important human to him when they were a child.

Lawless also met Ophelia when she was a kid, and there’s no denying that his love for her was romantic, and heartbreakingly so. We now have many more chapters where Youtarou is an adult and his relationship with Gear plays out as one of equals, not as parent and child. From the looks of things, Youtarou’s actually the one corralling Gear, and not the other way around! Is it because Lawless is expressly shown to be in love with her and is one of the fandom sweethearts that this is seen as okay? Is this a case of fandom seeing predation in a same sex couple where the het one is given a pass, even if only subconsciously? Is it because Lawless’s romance with Ophelia ended in tragedy? Before it really had a chance to begin, whereas Youtarou is still alive? What’s the difference here?

3. You can see something in someone and NOT treat them like that person. There’s even a saying about how people tend to fall for partners who remind them of their parents, for better or worse. It’s possible to say that Gear might have looked at Youtarou and wondered about his own hypothetical children, but that’s not how I, personally, write them.

4, and this is the most important... Why are you sending this message to me when I make it pretty obvious in my tags and my public interactions that I like them romantically? I’ve even written two fanfics where they’re a couple on my ao3 account, one of which is about Youtarou proposing to Gear and some wires being crossed about werewolf culture in regards to that. It feels like an attempt at a sort of “gotcha”. Maybe that wasn’t your intent, but it’s what it came across as, and I don’t appreciate that.

Actually, I lied, this is the most important. 5. Different people can have different interpretations of how a relationship develops and evolves over the course of canon, and I’m not about to shame one or the other when every interpretation is just as valid as another. Sometimes I like a relationship played one way. Sometimes I like it played another. Sometimes I don’t agree with something, but I’m still going to encourage it because it’s fun to think about and even more fun to get excited over nerdy things with a bunch of other nerds! Fandom is a sandbox, and if someone sends me a message because they want to gush about a dynamic they like, I’m going to hype right along with them because being mean and shutting it down when someone is excited to share something with me is a Dick Move.

--But in this particular case, I’m giving you a hard ‘no,’ Nonny, about Gear treating Youtarou as if he were his son, if only because of the way you’ve phrased this ask. You’re more than free to write them with that sort of relationship, but that’s not how I see them. And that’s okay.

I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW IT’S AWESOME RIGHT?! Finally something to revive the hype, WOO HOO! And this is gonna be so interesting. I mean, after changing the order of stuff happening, how are they gonna work in all those changes? I mean, is Hugh just gonna be missing for the movie after getting caught by Tsubaki at the end of last season? If so, how will that change the dynamic, with Tetsu terrified of losing him and riddled with guilt? Is that gonna show in his interactions with Misono somehow? Will it maybe give him a way to comfort Misono better after hell breaks loose? Will we see more of post-character development Kuro and Mahiru and how will it change the way they act? And what about Greed Pair, how are they gonna be worked in? I mean, they’re still hospitalized, so are they not gonna be present at all and we’ll just get cuts to them in the hospital in between, “meanwhile the Greed Pair” style? Or are they somehow gonna take part in the Misono rescue mission? So many questions… Hey, screenwriters, you better not waste all that potential! Although honestly, as long as you give me Kuro protecting Mahiru from Lily and Tetsono bonding I’m sold. And Mitsuki and Dodo, and badass Otogiri. Pretty please?

T/N: When the player goes “Eh?!” after Gear says he hasn’t been sleeping for a week, there’s still Gear’s name and avatar on there. Which I know is a bug I just find it kinda funny lmao

“It reminds me of Youtarou when he was younger” is more literally “It reminds me of the old Youtarou”/”The Youtarou from long ago”, but I’m pretty sure he means Smol Youtarou.

From the “It sounds like I’m looking down on him” to “I’m praising him”, it’s not really clear whether he means Youtarou or the player - I went with Youtarou because he was the one Gear had been talking about, but the player might as well have felt that Gear was looking down on/making fun of them (by comparing them to Kid!Youtarou), or humans in general.

When he talks about the companions of life, there’s the “that’s not just humans” bit - He may also mean that it’s something beings that are not human feel while humans don’t, but then he says he and vampires are not exceptions, which is why I included humans (After all, if it meant non-humans, Gear wouldn’t have to specify again that non-humans feel it, too)

Gear is just,,,, so precious 🥺 Like “I was looking forward to seeing you so much I wanted to plan without sleeping” PLEASE SIR KNOW I LOVE YOU.

Also. Y’know, Nicco (yes I’ll do him soon-ish) already goes all-out, but Gear just goes and breaks the rules of the space-time-continuum for you. Like, that’s commitment.

I hated having to pick “I’d rather have something tangible” ;_; Dude BREAKS THE SPACE-TIME-CONTINUUM for you and you just go “Yeah nah gimme something worth money” that’s just MEAN!

Sorry for the long T/N I just have a lot of things to say and A LOT of emotions about Gear. Like, with the vampires, it’s so easy to forget how eternal they are, that they’re immortal. Theoretically, if a Servamp decides they want to keep someone around, they can make them into a vampire. Gear can’t. Gear has been around longer than the Servamps, and since he keeps making friends, choosing to make friends, he has lost so, so many people, and it’s just, you can tell that he functions on a scale vastly different from humans. But does he decide to harden his heart, to not meet new people to avoid the heartbreak? No, he sees it as a part of life, and while it’s sad, it’s worth it to him, and I just-- 🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭

If children inherit one of their parents' quirks, or a combination of the two, what do you think Bakugou's parents' quirks are? Also what do you think Izuku would have gotten if his power manifested like usual(his father breathes fire and his mother has minor telekinesis)?

Actually anon!!!!! We know Mitsuki and Masaru’s quirks! Mitsuki can sweat glycerine (no explosions) and Masaru has oxidizing sweat (can make small explosions) so when combined you got Bakugou’s nitroglycerine sweat! I find it super neat tbh I was really happy when I found out about it (...also because I kinda headcanoned Bakugou taking the explosions from his mild and lovable father and he did what a good)

As for Izuku tbh I don’t know? I never spent much time thinking about it, but if we exclude the possibilities of him having his mother or his father’s same quirks, the neatest combination would have probably been firebending I think - he could either produce his own fire (like his father does, that would be the strongest outcome I guess) and bend it through his mother’s magnetizing-type quirk, or he could bend already existing fire only, which is also pretty neat but not as self-sufficient and therefore a lil less strong... anyway it would have been hilarious tbh because if he’d had a fire quirk Todoroki Bakugou and he would have all been fire babies and that’s ???? amazing™

I’m gonna be honest anon, I’ve been keeping track of Kiri’s self-esteem issues since he first mentioned disliking his quirk before the USJ attack so anything that’s happened after it in that sense hasn’t really been a surprise for me? I’ve been hoping Horikoshi would properly address it like he did in the lastest chapters for ages - seeing him honestly upset about Tetsu having his same quirk made me go aw baby the first time I read it in the manga too, so when I saw it happen again in the anime I did still find it kinda sad BUT ALSO it does make you think about how much he grew into himself!! How much better he got with his confidence and how much he tries and works hard oh my god I love that child

Also!!! The fact that even though at first he had that reaction to Tetsu they still ended up being seriously good friends and gunning for each other and having the healthiest rivalry ever is!!!! So good!!!! He could have held a grudge against him forever but instead!!!!! Oh man!!!!!

(... what actually made me sad because I’m weak and a baby is Kaminari going “aw man I’m not good at those” when they announced the second round, like, god save me how many times has this boy been left out of children games through his childhood because his quirk is incompatible with teamwork I want to  c r y)
