Abo Hana is a dryad but I think it’d be rad if she’s actually entirely in black and white like an old timey cartoon character. It marks her as apart from everyone else, literally. Like if she tries to put on a red shirt it converts to grayscale. Takes it off? Back to red. She drains the color out of everything she touches. Even her flowers are in shades of grey. Her skin is paper white. her branches, hair and eyes are darker black than even Alastors shadows.

Except for the one flower she pins to Alastor’s lapel. That one blooms into a brilliant, bloody red.

i've done some heavy duty research and i think i've got the strategy to keep my cottonee alive without evolving her into a whimsicott in late stage. this is contingent on me finding a specific item and also her being fast which i recognize might be a problem for her but i think she can do it

i love aurorus

i was sad when aerilate / pixilate / refrigerate were all nerfed from 1.3x to 1.2x back in gen 7 purely because mega salamence was broken in VGC and then aurorus got hit by crossfire which sucked bc aurorus wasnt very good anyway

but i love refrigerate hyper voice and calm mind and earth power and freeze-dry and ice/rock is so cool. and aurorus is beautiful. such a unique pokemon

I had an insane battle in Pokémon Black 2's Battle Institute

First of all, this guy had the same name as one of my friends; I have never met anyone else with that name.

He then leads with Articuno and Registeel. I was using a mono-electric team of Zapdos, Electivire, Eelektross, and Stunfisk. Articuno went for Mind Reader right off the bat meaning it was the fucking 100% accuracy Sheer Cold one. Zapdos and Electivire thankfully knocked itvout before it could OHKO anyone, but I was scared for my life.

He then sends out Thundurus, who, with some help from Registeel, immediately knocked out Electivire. I'm pretty sure that thing outsped despite me having Tailwind active on my side.

I sent out Eelektross who I then accidentally paralyzed with Discharge. At one point, Eelektross still managed to land a hit despite having both Paralysis and Confusion active.

I ended up switching it into Stunfisk instead only for Thundurus to go for Sky Drop. That move is banned!!! Why can he use it, but I can’t???

Anyways, I finally took down Registeel with a Heat Wave from Zapdos. Thundurus used U-Turn to switch to Regigigas before just reappearing on the other side of the field.

Regigigas decided to spam Wide Guard which completely walled Zapdos who only had Tailwind, Light Screen, Heatwave, and Discharge.

I eventually swapped Zapdos for Eelektross and also put Toxic on the Regi via Stunfisk. Eelektross finally defeated Thundurus, then the two of them waited while Regigigas slowly died to Toxic.

Hey Jack! How is your Fire Red playthrough? I love that game a lot, ahahah. I think I spent most of my summer afternoons playing it until late as a kid. Even seeing you post about playing it made me so nostalgic, even though I don't have my gba on me right now.

It's been fun! I haven't had much time to play in the past few days, but I'd still like to think we're doing good progress. I can also definitely relate to spending your childhood playing these games though in truth I actually physically own Leaf Green so that's what I played, oops.

I'm not a competitive player, but I did my best to balance this fakemon fairly and not make it too broken. Feel free to give feedback if you have any thoughts!

I have a huge bias for Bug Pokemon since they're my favorite type, and at first I wanted to make it Bug/Ice, since any intervebrate could be tossed into the 'Bug' typing. But ultimately I decided to keep xeeble's original idea of Ice/Fairy. There's precedent of food-themed pokemon being Fairy type, and Ice/Fairy would be very interesting due to its rarity (only Alolan Ninetails has it). Its type weaknesses are also slightly easier to handle than Bug/Ice imo

The signature move is indeed based on real love darts, I could not resist something that fascinating being made into a Pokemon move, even if the real games may possibly shy away from the idea. (Honestly it could be argued "Love Dart" is based on Cupid's arrow so Gamefreak might actually get away with making a move like this though.) Its effectiveness on both males and females is a nod to snails/slugs being biological hermaphrodites. I can see this move also being learned by Gastrodon and Magcargo in Scarlet/Violet
