INCONSOLABLE GHOST (H-HR-NL) – BUDAPEST CHANNELLING 2018 * Az INCONSOLABLE GHOST egy 2014-ben alakult okkult audiovizuális csoport, amelyet a legendás The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble és a The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation korábbi tagjai – Hilary Jeffery és Gideon Kiers – hoztak létre, s amely a túlvilágról elfogott jeleket közvetíti a kísértetjárta, omladozó mozikban. A projektben számos olyan, jól ismert zenész és művész működik, akik úgy gondolják, hogy ők az „Inconsolable Ghost”-ként (nyughatatlan kísértetként) ismert szellem közvetítői. (Éppen ezért, az Inconsolable Ghost szólóprojektként is működik; Sőrés Zsolt, aki 2014 óta a projekt állandó tagja, az elmúlt években kétszer is – az Ultrahang Fesztiválon és az egyik HaviZajon – közvetített médiumként az alternatív kísértetvalóságból.) Az Inconsolable Ghosttal eddig olyan művészek dolgoztak együtt vendégként, mint Anthea Caddy, Charlotte Cegarra, Colin Hacklander, Farahnaz Hatam, Alfredo Genovesi, Ralf Meinz, Gianpaolo Peres, Makino Takashi, Raphael Vanoli, Claus Löser, Halmos András és mások. The project incorporates numerous well-known musicians and artists who reckon themselves as conveyors of the Inconsolable Ghost. (That is why Inconsolable Ghost can also be a solo project; Zsolt Sőrés, who has been a permanent member of the project since 2014, acted as a medium of the alternative spectral dimension on two occasions in the last few years – at UH Fest and HaviZaj series.) Inconsolable Ghost collaborated with guest artists such as Anthea Caddy, Charlotte Cegarra, Colin Hacklander, Farahnaz Hatam, Alfredo Genovesi, Ralf Meinz, Gianpaolo Peres, Makino Takashi, Raphael Vanoli, Claus Löser, András Halmos and many others. They summon the 21st century vision of spiritism and occult science; secret messages discovered in distorted telephone signals that transmit from another dimension, aura photographies, blurry images of old analogue TV screens, enigmatic scripts and files programmed on archaic computers, self-destructing hieroglyphic emails, fast-changing pictures of long-forgotten websites... Their first album was released in September 2018 on Fourth Dimension Records titled „Sokolowsko Channelling” that is a recording of their concert at the Sokolowsko Sanatorium of Sound festival from 2017, performed in an abandoned movie theatre once important for Krzysztof Kieslowski in his childhood. The ensemble’s music is also featured in Russian far-eastern filmmaker Andrey Iskanov’s Visions of Suffering – Final Director’s Cut that was being shot for 13 years (!) before finally released on DVD and an accompanying soundtrack CD by Last Exit Entertainment in the spring of 2018. The last time they performed before a Hungarian audience was at the Capa Centre and not long afterwards on an UH event few years ago. INDANG, Cavite, Dec. 5 (PIA) – The Journalism Guild, the official academic organization of Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in Cavite State University (CavSU) Main Campus organized a seminar entitled Internet Generation: Flexing Convergence in Journalism this November 8, 2019.   The seminar aimed to showcase the usage of the internet in the conduct of journalistic endeavor. Internet Generation represents the producers and consumers of online or digitized content. The theme banks on “flexing” also means “showing off’ the rise of convergence journalism that goes beyond traditional photos and text, but rather includes videos, audio, and animation. The seminar emphasized that the skill of a journalist no longer focuses on writing and interviewing but also on video- and photo-editing.   CavSU Journalism students, particularly graduating batches, regularly hold yearly seminars on journalism and communication to provide students with additional knowledge and information from experienced media practitioners.   One of the topics discussed by various media practitioners included CyberREADI, a campaign advocated by the Philippine Information Agency as part of the ASEAN-Japan Media and Information Literacy (MIL) for the Youth Project.   In line with the CyberREADI campaign, Kier Gideon Paolo Gapayao, Information Officer II of Philippine Information Agency IV-A engaged the youth on proper online etiquette and safety and showed short videos focusing on Cyberbullying, Online gaming, Online dating, Online scam, Online privacy and Internet addiction.    The CyberREADI and MIL campaign spreads cyber wellness among the Filipino youth and pushes for four critical things online: developing healthy digital habits; preventing and building resilience against cyberbullying and other negativities in the online environment; inculcating the responsible and discerning use of online/social media, including the consumption and sharing of online content; and keeping safe online. Telcosystems are Gideon Kiers, David Kiers and Lucas van der Velden. David Kiers (1977, Amsterdam) studied at the Sonology department of the Royal Conservatoire, and Lucas van der Velden (1976, Eindhoven) and Gideon Kiers (1975, Amsterdam) studied at the Interfaculty Image and Sound, a department of the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In their audiovisual works Telcosystems research the relation between the behavior of programmed numerical logic and the human perception of this behavior; they aim at an integration of human expression and programmed machine behavior. This becomes manifest in the immersive audiovisual installations they make, in films, videos, soundtracks, prints and in live performances. The software they write enables them to compose ever-evolving audiovisual worlds. Telcosystems’ installations and films focus on real-time, self-structuring, generative processes, in their live performances they focus on the interaction with these processes. Their work is the result of an ongoing search for an own language of non-referential image and sound, and is characterized by lucid and restrained aesthetics, closely related to the technology they use. In interaction with machines Telcosystems fuse the auditive and visual domains into one immersive spatial experience that explores the limits of the human sensory apparatus.
